Chapter Text
It was a race between time and a half blind man. Not that he wouldn't die but because he was late to meeting up with his childhood friend, White lily.
"I need to hurry or else she'll think I ditched her!" is all that Pure Vanilla could think about. Although it wouldn't matter since she is the one with a ditching problem.
Just as he was about to turn a corner, someone else was also turning the corner. Pure vanilla had no time to stop or even think about stopping before crashing into them, making them both fall.
"I-I am so sorry!" yelped Pure Vanilla as he quickly stood up and held a hand for the person to help them get back up.
"Can't you see where you are going!? Are you blind or something!?" yelled the person and smacked Pure Vanilla's hand away and stood up with no help.
Pure Vanilla fixed his glasses and brushed any dirt off his pants. He looked at the other one up and down and noticed his clothes. He had a black shirt with puffy sleeves with a vest on top of the shirt. The vest seemed like one of a kind vest. On one side, it was a light blue color with yellow stars around it. The other side was much different. It had a dark blue color but there were stripes going diagonal making small diamonds. His pants were also a blue color with big diamonds that were also blue. The only thing that is not blue is his skin. His skin was clean but did have a scar on his left eye. He also had an eyebrow piercing on his left eyebrow.
"He must love blue" thought Pure Vanilla.
This blue dude looked at Pure Vanilla confused as to why he was looking at him up and down. It felt like he was just insulted which he was in some way. Who dares judge what he wears? Although that is the point of how he dresses. Without saying anything, he slowly started to walk away. Pure Vanilla looked at the person who walked away without saying anything but for some reason, he had a feeling that this wasn't the last time he would meet this person.
As Hollyberry was walking to school, she was happy that she was going back. Not because of homework or the pain of getting up early, but because she gets to be with her friends more often and being able to suffer with them because of homework, well, most of them. White Lily is the top student and seems to understand topics faster than others. She still struggles but doesn't need as much studying as their group to get a good score. Even though White Lily is smarter than them, it is still fun to be around her, even if she tends to go 'missing' from time to time.
Just when Hollyberry was close to school, a girl, who was shorter and much skinnier than she was, bumped into her. She had a white short dress that seemed to be tight, meaning it showed her curves. She also seemed to have makeup on. Not the heavy type of makeup but the type that is natural. She also had pink hair that seemed to get lighter at the bottom. Her hair wasn't the only pink thing, her eyes were also pink, a bright pink too which were beautiful.
"oh my, I am sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going!" said the smaller female
"Don't be! I should have been looking where I was going" said Hollyberry. Which is true. She was zoning out when walking due to daydreaming about her friends so she was at fault as well. "I'm Hollyberry"
The smaller female giggled and pointed to her hair pin. "I figured". Hollyberry has a hairpin that is shaped like two berries.
"I'm Eternal Sugar, nice to meet you Hollyberry!"
"Eternal Sugar? What a beautiful name. Where are you heading?"
"Buttercream High. It's my first day in a new school"
"Huh, well what do you know? I am also heading that way, shall we walk there together and get to know each other more?"
"Really? well, lead the way my dear!"
It has been forever since someone called Hollyberry 'dear'. Not even her parents have called her 'dear' even more since the first year of high school.
Dark Cacao's favorite thing to do before the school day begins is get there early, not because he likes to be on time, that is one reason but the main reason is to walk around the school's yard. The school had two yards, one in front of the school and one at the back of the school for students to walk around and to study with the benches provided. Dark Cacao's favorite yard was the one in the back, mainly because not many kids go there at the beginning of the school day. It was the perfect place to take a stroll around and zone out.
The yard had a walkway that looped around and another walkway to get to the building. The only way to get in this yard was to go through the building or to break in. The sides of the walkway would have grass and very beautiful trees. When it would be fall season, the leaves would decorate the walkway and the grass with its different color leaves. The benches were spread out around the grass. These benches would become full around important tests and finals. This was Dark Cacao's favorite place to clear his head right before school.
As Dark Cacao was walking, he saw someone else, a woman doing an easy seat on the grass, no blanket or anything under her. The only thing that was covering her legs from touching the grass was her long skirt. The woman had very white hair. Hair that was probably the same color as snow. Was having hair as white as hers possible or could she have dyed it? Her hair wasn't the only white thing, she has very pale skin, skin that could be described as snow white.
She seemed to be meditating and as she opened her eyes, they were pitched black. It was like the night sky, a night sky with no stars. They were also like black holes that could have sucked you in with no warning. There was no light in her eyes, her eyes were as dead as the night sky. Even with her black hole eyes, she showed no emotion. It was like her eyes not only could suck you in, but it seemed her pitched black eyes also sucked her emotions. Her eyes and dark Cacao's locked in and it felt like an internally before the silence broke.
“Are you done staring?” Said the pale woman.
“I'm sorry, I just never saw anyone else this early in the morning here. Are you new?”
“Even if I'm new, it doesn't mean you can stare”
After that, they stayed silent for a few other minutes before Dark Cacao broke the silence once again.
“What do you think about the school so far?”
“I don't really think about school since it is what it is. At the end of the say, there is no meaning”
These words shocked Dark Cacao. How can someone not care about school, especially in their last year of high school, the year that mattered the most. This person was no one he ever knew. They seemed to be apathetic.
Just as he was about to ask another question, they disappeared. He looked around for her but couldn't see her. It was like she just vanished or that she was not even real and that it was just his imagination. It was like a gust of wind blew and had just taken her away.
Golden Cheese was at the gate, waiting. Waiting for her. She knew she was always early at the gate of school just waiting. Well now is her turn to be at the gate of the school early and to wait. She had to talk to her about what happened before it eats her alive. Golden cheese knew that the guilt was also eating her alive and wanted to make it right. She just wants to make things right.
“Come on, why don't you want to? You are a worthy opponent!” A guy yelled as he was following someone else.
The guy who was yelling was tall with a tanned skin color. Not only was he tall, but he was also buffed. The type of buff that seemed to go to the gym everyday. He was wearing a black shirt that seemed to be tight but not too tight. It almost looked like a gym shirt, no, it was a gym shirt without a doubt. He also was wearing sweatpants. His hair was very dark black but it was also messy.
The guy who he was following was very different. He was wearing a leather jacket with a purple shirt. He seemed to be wearing baggy pants but the type that doesn't make him look like the other dude, homeless. His hair was also neat. He was wearing braids that were all cleanly in a bun. Not a single bring sticking out. The only thing in common that these two had was their skin color and even that was different with the not homeless looking dude having a dark skin color. They seemed to know each other was probably the only thing they had in common.
“I do not wish to be against you for I have my education to finish” said the non homeless looking dude.
“Come on! You need a break!”
“And see you lose? No.”
Gold cheese chuckled. How can a guy like him lose compared to a guy who is not the same height as him nor is as buff as him? Golden cheese couldn't help but let out a chuckle which caused both dudes to look at her.
“What are you laughing at lil girl?” Glared the homeless looking dude.
“Little girl? Oh please! I know I look young but I don't appreciate it being used as an insult”
“Oh so we are being cocky now? You wouldn't stand a chance against me!” Just as he said that, he laughed. Not the type of laugh that hinted he was joking, but the type that showed he was not joking.
“Please! If you could get beat by someone like him, I'm sure I stand a chance!” Said Golden cheese, with so much pride. That was who she was, always up to a challenge with nothing but her pride.
As the non homeless dude looked at them arguing, he started to go in the building ignoring their immature fight. He did not want to be with them, especially with what happened. How could they do that? How can he forgive them? If you were in his shoes, then you would understand, would you?
Just as he was walking around the school's hallways to know where to be at when he needed to be at, he heard it. A gentle laugh. The type of laugh that draws you in. The type of laugh that shows that they are not joking, but also do not mean harm. How could it be? Could it really be him..? He followed the laugh, hoping, praying it was who he thought it was.
Around the corner, he saw him. Elder Faerie. The one person who he trusted with his life. The one person who knew what happened to him. The one person who understood him, with someone else.
