Chapter Text
A rescue team made their way through the forest. At the front of the group was their temporary leader Jolteon with him being followed closely by Umbreon, Flareon, and Vaporeon with Glaceon and her best friend Leafeon following behind the larger group in the back.
Jolteon had a scar under his right eye and had a chunk taken out of his left ear, Umbreon was missing about half of his tail, and finally Leafeon was blind as a Zubat and thus she had blank white eyes.
“Jolteon, do you think we could take a break? We’ve been hiking for hours and all this mud and leaves are horrible for my coat.” Flareon exclaimed “And don’t get me started on my paws.” Flareon continued with an annoyed tone in his voice. “No, remember what that Spinarak back in Azalea Town said.” Jolteon replied back.
“Yeah he said that Espeon stopped in town and was heading to The Ilex Forest shrine and if we stop we might miss him” Umbreon exclaimed. “And where almost there anyways” Vaporeon said with a cheerful smile on his face. Flareon let out a sign and continued forwards without complaint.
“You're quiet today Glaceon…I mean you're usually quiet but…” Leafeon said as she looked over in the general direction of her friend. “It just…” Glaceon said, interrupting Leafeon mid sentence. “Espeon clearly doesn't want to be found and his resent…activity’s have been questionable at best.” Glaceon explained with her usual stoic tone.
“I mean this week alone he broke into someone's house, attacked them, confused them, and stole that Z-Crystal thing from them.” Glaceon continued thinking back to the Porygon that had tried to kill them a couple weeks ago.
“I just hope nothing bad happens.” Glaceon finished. “Oh come on, I'm sure we'll be fine.” Leafeon said happily. “I mean with my super senses, your brains, Jolteon’s tenacity, Vaporeon’s heart, Umbreon’s surprising tankeyness, and whatever Flareon brings to the table we’re unstoppable,” Leafeon said with a smile.
“HEY” Flareon exclaimed and looked back at Leafeon who let out a chuckle and Glaceon gave a brief smirk and her oldest friend.
(10 Minutes Later - In front of the Shrine of Ilex Forest)
An Espeon with a black Z-Ring around his neck with a Psychium Z crystal in the center. Espeon slowly approached the shrine nervously. Espeon took a deep breath "GUARDIAN OF ILEX FOREST I REQUIRE YOUR HELP” Espeon exclaimed but nothing happened.
He waited for a few seconds and still no response. “Um hello.” Espeon said and got a bit closer to the shrine when suddenly the front of the Shrine flew open smacking Espeon in the nose. “Ouch” Espeon exclaimed as he jumped back.
“Sorry about that sweetie.” A feminine voice said gently.
Espeon looked back over to the shrine and saw a Pokemon that was presumably the guardian of the forest emerge from the shrine.
The Pokémon had a small, fairy-like appearance, primarily colored light green. It had large, bright blue eyes encircled by a thick black ring. Its head was topped with two pointed antennae, which were tipped with a faint blue color. It had small, simple hands and feet, and a tiny body and pair of translucent wings, which looked like delicate insect wings on its back.
“I am Celebi the Time Travel Pokémon and guardian of Ilex Forrest. Why have you sought me out, young one?” The fairy-like Pokemon said, sounding as if she could pass out at any moment.
“Celebi I need your help, You see I want to grow stronger so I can protect my brother Umbreon and all my other friends so I got this.” Espeon said and gestured to the Z-Ring around his neck.
“Oh my a Z-Ring…and a Z-Crystal I haven’t seen those in a few thousand years.” Celebi said with a curious tone in his voice.
“Yeah however it appears that everyone who knew how to use these things are kind of…Dead so I was hoping you could send me back in time to when they were still around so I could learn how to use these things” Espeon said hopefully.
Celebi went silent for a moment before speaking again “I'm sorry sweetie I wish I could help you but I can’t.” Celebi said with a saddened tone in her voice.
Espeon looked at the mythical Pokemon with a confused expression on his face. “Why not.” Espeon asked “Time is an incredibly complex thing if I were to send you back in time you could end up drastically changing the future and even if I were willing to send you back in time I am currently unwell and in this state I fear I won’t be able to control my powers so there will be no telling where or when you might end up.” Celebi said with a concerned tone in her voice.
Espeon went silent for a moment as he thought about what to say when suddenly he heard a familiar voice call out to him.
“ESPEON!” The voice yelled, causing Espeon to look over and see his little brother Umbreon emerge from the bushes followed by Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Glaceon, and Leafeon.
Espeon’s eyes widened and he instinctively backed up. “Wh-What are you all doing here?” Espeon said with a confused expression. “We came looking for you Espeon.” Vaporeon said. “Yeah you're our leader, why wouldn’t we come looking for you after you ditched us?” Jolteon asked rhetorically.
“Yeah why’d you ditch us anyway.” Glaceon asked, showing very little if any emotion as the six eeveeloutions began to approach their former leader and Espeon in response jumped back accidentally slamming into Celebi’s shrine sending a cloud of dust up at Celebi.
The small fairy like pokemon accidentally inhaled a large amount of dust and began to make an odd noise causing everyone to look up at her with looks of confusion when suddenly she sneezed and let out a bright flash of light and when she opened her eyes Espeon and the other eeveeloutions where all gone.
Celebi looked around with a confused look on her face “Aw crap.” Celebi said with a concerned tone in her voice.
(5,000 Year Ago - Viridian Forest)
Leafeon laid there unconscious on the forest floor.
Leafeon slowly opened her eyes not that it made much of a difference after all she was blind so it was just never ending darkness.
“Where the hell am I?” Leafeon said with a confused tone in her voice as she got up to her feet.
“Glaceon, Jolteon, Umbreon…is anyone there?” Leafeon yelled out but got no replies. She began to sniff the air but didn't smell them either. Then she perked her ears up and tried to listen for her friends, however that didn’t work either, just the sound of Bug Pokemon crawling around.
Then she heard what sounded like a ThunderShock attack and Pokemon screaming followed by silence. “That was weird.” Leafeon muttered to herself as she began to walk forwards.
“I need to find my friends.” Leafeon muttered to herself.
