Chapter Text
"Get that damn orange peel out of my face."
Your glaring is ineffective, as you watch your friend snicker. His black hair falling over his face and a dimple forming on the left side of his cheek. He popped a piece of orange in his mouth.
"Well," He began, chewing and swallowing the fruit before continuing, "y'could just move in with my mom. She's been lonely since l've moved out, and she adores you." He plopped onto your bed beside you, flopping down.
You click off of another website, not glancing his way, "What about Miles?" You questioned as you drag the cursor to the search engine again. Milo frowned, shrugging his shoulders.
"He stays around his girlfriend more. Smoking and shit." He grumbled, his expression tense. He eventually eased himself, a sigh weaving out his lips. "Anyway, are we actually gonna hang or are 'just gonna keep hunched over your laptop?" He kicked his feet onto your shoulder, wriggling his clothed toes in your face.
You scrunch your face, though you couldn't hide the grin breaking through your disgust. You shove his foot away from you, opening your mouth only to get interrupted by a ping from Milo's phone. Picking it up, you hand it to him and let him read through the notification.
A stupid smile creeped onto his face, his body shooting upright. His freckled face became an intense rose. Stumbling to his feet and stuffing his phone in his pocket. "Heh... got some important business. So, uh, I'll just go." He inched closer to the door, his hands shaking with what you can only assume is anticipation.
You snort, "Does this business include Alex?" In which you got the apartment door slammed as an answer. You shake your head, snickering* under your breath.
As you continue to scroll through job opportunities on a site with the message 'hot single MILF, Alice, wants you and in the area' appearing on your screen every few seconds. Since most of the legit looking job offers had a least a dozen people already in the comments, you were close to giving up.
After a few more minutes, you came upon a post. 'Searching for house keepers! No specific requirements! If you're interested, please check our website!' You gnaw at the inside of your cheek, inching the cursor closer to the link.
Once you push down your cautions, ignoring the pit in your gut, you open the website. It immediately popped up, a white screen with text in the middle.

Any further questions, ask during your scheduled interview.
Salary will be discussed, but the lowest offer will be $85/hour.'
A scowl tugged at your lips. That's... a lot of information. An easy way to get hacked. What kind of idiot would even fill it out?
You shift your hands on the keyboard, typing up all your information.
You sit back after you've written everything up, your mind doubling back. You had the cursor ready on the close button, you could always back out.
Not until a notification popped up did you realize the mouse had moved. From the 'X' top corner, to the 'Done?' button. On its own.
"Thx for working with BENSAPPLICATIONWEB.onion.
See you soon, loser:)'
The colours on your monitor shifted, everything looked out of place for a split second before your laptop died. You sit and stare at the black screen; your reflection's expression dumbfounded.
You slowly reached for your phone and called Milo. The phone rang for about five minutes before he answered.
"Hey, (Y/N)! Ah, uhm, what's up??" His voice sounded almost choked, rushed words and mumbling in the background.
"I might've been hacked."
You sat in silence, waiting for his reply.
"S-Sorry, (Y/N). Milo is just... a bit occupied." A more gravelly, rough voice replaced Milo's. His words separated with short huffs, and gagged sounds in the distance. The line abruptly ends.
Your tongue clicks against your teeth. It's not a hard guess on what they're doing. Not like it was your business.
YOU'VE BEEN ADDED TO
'BEN is the best here'
The alert had filled your phone screen. An unfamiliar logo on the corner of the notification. Then came the constant ping from your phone, the mobile vibrating with each pop up.
How odd.

A pale hand, dirt beneath its jagged fingernails sprouted from your phone screen. You toss it across the room, watching as a short elf emerges from your device.
His limbs cracked, before finally settling — groaning in exhaustion. “Man… I forget how small a phone is. My ribs ache!” He stretched his arms over his head.
Now, having a better look at the invader, you could see the green clothing, similar to those of Link — sprouts of blonde hair peeking from under his grass coloured hat. His sclera ebony black, a red pinprick in either eye while dried blood clings to his cheeks.
You blink before pointing to your laptop. “Could you fix that?”
Hi :3
