Chapter 1
Steve and Tony, happily married, were excited when they learned that Tony was pregnant with their first child, (something to do with Erskine’s Serum side effect). It made both lovers stun into silence when they found out that months from now, they’d have their first ever child in their arms.
Nine months later, Tony gave birth to their child, but not without any complications. Their son, proudly named Peter Benjamin Rogers-Stark, was born small and came out pale-blue. The doctor had immediately sent the infant in the incubator room for future notice and checked if the infant surfer more than just breathing problem. Tony was devastated while Steve - who was outside waiting for the news and the arrival of their son - found out about the whole ordeal when the doctor had informed Steve regarding the issue of their son.
Steve was apprehensive and although the good news was that Tony was alive and mange to make it during the labor, it was not without suffering from massive blood loss - though they’d succeeded in pulling the newborn out – but Tony came out safe yet their son did not share the same fate. Their little one had to stay in the hospital for the time being, perhaps longer than they’d anticipated just to be sure that Peter would be okay. Steve watched his son from the nursery room tucked warmly inside an incubator. A few tears leaked from his eyes as Bruce gave his support by putting his hand on Steve’s shoulder, telling him to be strong, not just for Tony’s sake, but for their son as well.
The next few days, Tony was sent home and was allowed to leave the hospital. However their little one (Peter) had to remain in the hospital for further observations. Both fathers soon made the visiting-Peter as their daily active activity. Tony even got to hold his son, but only for a little while before the nurse needed to put Peter back in his incubator, which Tony harshly called it his Cage.
Weeks later, they heard the bad news from Agent Phil; that someone broke into the hospital and took their son. They weren’t merely devastated for anger surged through Tony and Steve, dominating their inner emotions. Someone dared do such a thing to them. S.H.I.L.E.D. had assured to assist them look for Peter and bring him back to them. Unfortunately, months passed and they couldn’t find their little Peter. Steve couldn’t get over it. Tony tried his best to be strong for the both of them even though that he was the one who gave birth to him (the pain he felt was tenfold) but failed miserably as he went back to consume alcohol like he used to before the holy matrimony.
They still went on missions. Still, their relationship hadn’t been steady as it was fragile after Peter had gone missing. They talked about it. None of the Avengers brought up topics or mentioned Peter, or on how they wished that Peter was still here, alive.
In the dark, a hope, false or not; Tony and Steve hoped one day, their son would return to them safely and unharmed.

Fourteen Years later. (Time skip)
After the episode with the Lizard three months ago, everything went back to normal. Well mostly normal except for Peter who was still busy committing his fighting crimes of catching burglars, thieves, kidnappers, and so on. The usual cliché things. Peter still continued going to school by day, Spiderman and crime fighting by night.
Peter woke up to the sound of his alarm clock as he switched it off (smashing it, due to his new mutation power). He sat up, stretching his arms and giving a little yawn here and there, before leaping out of bed. Peter went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. When he was done he put on new attires before marching downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast; cereals, milk and sandwiches, before heading to school. He left note on the freezer for his aunty May to know he went out going to school already.

Nick Fury, head of the S.H.I.L.E.D, sat in his office, reading the files agent Phil Coulson sent to him a while ago. The files were mostly regarding the report incident that occurred three months ago about the whole lizard things, followed by the files of Spiderman encountering and fighting Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus a few weeks later. It caught Nick’s attention as he was more interested in Spiderman than the Lizard, who was a Scientist turned into a mad giant reptile.
Nick looked at the files of Spiderman for the last time before he made a call, requesting for Phil Coulson to come back to his office to talk and discus a few things about Spiderman, followed by a call for the Avengers for an important meeting.

Tony often went to visit the nursery room that he and Steve designed years ago whenever he was bored or in need for a break from his lab or sometimes just feel like staying there. He felt as if the child was still around albeit knowing he wasn’t with them anymore. They hadn’t got rid of it or rather, they couldn’t. None of them wanted to forget their son that was stolen from them a few weeks later after he was born fourteen years ago. If Peter was with them right now, he’d have Tony’s hair and smart, maybe Steve’s puppy eyes and ,and, and-
Steve knew it was harder for Tony to just forget their lost son but he had moved on (as heartless as that sounded) but sometimes, all the time, they missed their son. The little boy they had dreamed of to have ever since they knew it was impossible for them to have a child from their own fresh and blood since they were both male. Then this tiny miracle happened. They were exultant for it, given the bless to create their own child, a family they had so desperately wanted, only for the chance to be ripped away from them the moment the child was born.
Tony seldom pondered why such thing like this ensued to them. Did they deserve this? They weren’t the bad guys so how could something like this happen to them? They protected Earth, the people, and every inhabitant, for pity’s sake. Yet some of this people did this kind of cruel thing to them after everything they had done to save them.
Tony knew that he and Steve might not be good or better fathers to their child but they were willing to try to be the best parents to their own child. They had loved the little one that was growing inside Tony those years before, and was eager to try their best for the child, was keen enough to do anything just for their child, even if it meant giving up the Avengers duty.
The universe really despised them then or was just messing around with their lives. Tony moved toward the cribs and placed his hand on the rail. A sad expression marred his face. He imagined their little Peter here with them, at home in his little blue crib, awake and smiling up at his papas, cooing to greet him good morning yet he know in reality it would never happen.
He looked up and stared at the window in front of the crib. “It’s been years now. I’m sure that little Peter is probably around fourteen years old by now, if he is still alive somewhere out there” Tony muttered as tears dropped from his eyes by just thinking of it.
Tony hadn’t realized that someone was at the door until the person voice snapped him out of his thought. “Tony?” It was Steve. Tony blinked his tearful eyes, he wiped them before turned his head to face his husband. “Hey Cap! Do you need anything?” He asked. Steve just gave Tony a sad smile before saying. “Actually… Nick called for a meeting at SHIELD’s headquarters and is expecting us to move there right away.” Steve informed.
Tony eyed his husband suspiciously. “By ‘Right away’ you mean as in ‘Now’?” He asked which made Steve smile and nod his head. “Yes.” He simply said. Tony rolled his eyes. “Alright, Cap. I’ll be ready in a second… Just give me a few minute to get dressed before we head our way there.” He claimed as Steve bobbed his head. “All right… I’ll be in the living room if you needed anything.” Steve spoke, going downstairs and sitting in one of the satin armchairs in the living room while he was waiting for Tony.
Like Tony, Steve too missed their stolen son from them. He fantasized of what it would feel like to teach Peter to play baseball or to teach him to ride a bike. The things a normal father would teach their son. Sometime he dreamed of reading a bedtime story to Peter, if he was still there. Steve bit the insides of his lips as silver tears fell and he turned around to face the back of the armchair.

Nick Fury sat on his chair as the front door flew open. He looked up to see Captain America and Tony Stark as the two walked quietly to their presented seats and filled the empty space. He noticed the way Steve was eye-balling him to get on with the meeting. He complied and motioned Coulson to hand each file to the Avengers. Nick stood up, pressing a button on the oval table. A tri-color holograph of Spiderman swinging from the skyscraper to another skyscraper popped up on the huge screen as he began.
“I’m sure everyone here knows Spiderman, correct?” he asked the rest of the Avengers only to receive a string of nods and murmurs whereas Tony snorted and said. “Who wouldn’t? The guy was like what? Everywhere! In the newspaper, in the news, Time magazines… So what the deal with this kid?” Tony asked.
Nick Fury eyed Tony before continuing. “As you can see here, gentlemen… Spiderman has been getting on my nerves...” He accused. Before he could continue on, Tony butted in. “So let me get this straight. You want us to check out on Spiderman if he’s on our side or if he’s a threat?” he asked. Nick’s eyebrow twitched as he gave Tony the look before he nodded and went on with the speech. “Yes… Coulson already has the information on where you can find or see Spiderman’s whereabouts. He’s mostly out during the nightfall.” He said.
Tony rolled his eyes at the little information that Nick gave away which he already understood. The two began to have a heated argument. Steve on the other hand ignored the two as he looked down on a piece of brown folder. He flipped it open to read the given info. As far as he could see from the Intel that Coulson handed him and at the newspapers he often read? He could already tell that this Spiderman wasn’t a threat to anyone. To him, it looked like Spiderman was just helping and saving people from minor problems that had been going on the New York street during the night.
“I think this Spiderman isn’t a threat… I mean judging from his background you give us and from what I read from the newspapers….he seems to be less a danger to us. In fact I think he’s doing us a favor by stopping petty crimes.” Steve said, not looking up as both Nick fury and Tony stopped arguing and everyone eyed him. “Well, that might be true but what caught my attention isn’t that. What caught my attention is, about the whole incident with the lizard-creature that had occurred three months ago.” Nick Fury sternly pointed out.
Tony blinked his eyes before saying. “So? What’s about it?” He inquired. “Well…it seems like this guy has more spark in him then we have hoped for.” Nick said, as Phil added. “What he means is…that we first assumed this Spiderman was one of the embryonic superheroes we have encountered in the past. However, it appears he’s not one of those. He’s real thing and that he is more than what we have expected him to be.” Phil said.
“So you want us to-…what? Go and see if this Spiderman could like join the Avengers?” Tony asked, already getting mistrustful of what Nick Fury wanted them to do; to see if Spiderman was worth enough to work beside them. “Yes. I want you and the rest of the Avengers to see if this Spiderman is worth the effort of making him as one of SHILED agents, or one of the Avengers.” Nick Fury alleged. “You’re saying to let this kid become part of the Young Avengers group like the rest of the teenagers you‘ve found?”
“Yes.” Nice commented in a deadpan tone. Tony sighed. “Fine, fine…at least I get to do something rather than idling and doing nothing at home…”
“Good. And one more thing…let me know if you find anything interesting about Spiderman and his location. Keep me up to date and send the information your group finds about Spiderman through Coulson.” the eye-patched man inhaled, “That’s all for today. I’ll let you and the rest of the Avengers handle this. Do whatever you can or have to do. Just get me Spiderman” Nick Fury ordered which made Tony roll his eyes at him but nod his head. “We’ll do what we can, sir.” Steve said before Nick shoo-ed them out of the room.

“Can you believe it? I mean, what are we? Babysitters of Spiderman? Sure the guy has some spark and guts for stopping these petty crimes but that doesn’t mean he’s anything big!” Tony ranted. “To the people on the street; he’s something bigger, more important than us.” Clint said which earn him a weird look from his friend. “What?! Okay well yeah we’re also important but we’re different than this guy.” He moaned.
“That not what you said a moment ago.” Bruce softly whispered.
Clint rolled his eyes. “Whatever, Let’s just head back to the tower and propose a strategy to apprehend Spiderman.”

Peter swung from building to building. It was good that nothing happened and anyone in need for his help but still- ‘Aww…come on, man! Three weeks and still nothing.’ Getting frustrated, he spun another round as he performed his acrobatic movement in the air only to pause for seconds when his Spider’s sense was tangling. His sense screamed for him to move aside and he obeyed wordlessly, moving to the left as an arrow missed him by an inch, passing his right ear.
His head snapped as he turned to look behind him and saw a person with an arrow gripped tightly in his hold. The archer pulled the quiver and discharged the arrow, aiming perfectly at him again. Peter blinked underneath his mask before leaping backward, avoiding of getting hit by the piercing arrow. “Damn! The guy’s good!” Clint blinked as he began to chase Spiderman.
“What?! You missed him?! Ha!” Tony mocked through their connection.
“Shut up Iron Man!” Clint replied. “Guys! Stop it! This is no time for an argument. And Iron Man, stop teasing Hawkeye and get back to work!” Steve commanded. “Gee, Cap, chill down. I’m working on it. So Hawkeye did you finally place the tracking device on Spiderman?” He asked.
Clint went mute for a moment, thinking of a way to explain to his group that he had missed on placing said device on their target. In his defense, the guy was swift in avoiding his tracker-arrow. He sighed and decided to just let them know.
“Actually, I haven’t yet…” He admitted. It was soundless on the other side. It was Tony who broke the odd silence and said. “What do you mean you haven’t placed it yet on the guy?” He asked. “He avoids every projectile! I have no idea how he knows and manages to evade my every attack. It’s like he’s eyes on the back of his head or something. I’m chasing him right now to try it again.” He explained. “Haa! Someone finally beat up Clint? Dude! This is something to--” Before Tony could finish his sentence he was cut off by Steve’s authoritative voice.
“Iron Man, don’t you dare finish that sentence or else you’ll get it. Get back to work you two and no more teasing.” He spoke out as both Tony and Hawkeye nodded their yes though it wasn’t without Tony’s small protest that was ignored by his husband.
Soon Hawkeye had caught up to Spiderman. He saw the guy go and take a detour only to stop near a building. He noticed the kid was looking from right to left, making sure that no one was around or following him. He sighed in relief as he took out his bag behind one of the wooden doors. Hawkeye grinned as he lightly made his way toward Spiderman without making any noises.
Spiderman was about to take off his mask when his advance hearing caught a pad of soft footsteps. He whipped around to study the surrounding until he spotted Hawkeye through the left side. Peter dropped his bag, getting into a defensive position.
Hawkeye perceived that he’d been caught. He tch-ed inaudibly. ‘Is all or nothing, now?’ He thought as he pulled out his bow and arrow, aiming one on Spiderman who noticed it and quickly dodged his attack. He kept shooting his target but his mark sidestepped each of his arrows. ‘Damn! How the heck can this guy be this good?! And how the heck can he see and tell where my arrows are aiming at?!’ he thought.
‘Shoot. It looks like I don’t have a choice but to battle him in close combat!’ he groaned as he put away his weapon and went on and began to attack Spiderman head on. ‘If my arrow won’t work then maybe getting close combat might work in placing the tracker on him.’ He thought.
Spiderman remarked the way Hawkeye was about to assault him. He ducked Hawkeye’s firm attack and stirred sideways.
Hawkeye cursed under his breath. ‘Damn it! He knows how to snake away, huh?’ he discerned, going onward and was about to tackle Spiderman from behind him when Spiderman saw this and moved away, making Hawkeye hit the wall where Spiderman’s bag was dropped. He snapped and thought of an idea when he noticed he was beside Spiderman’s bag and quickly placed the tracker inside the kid’s bag before getting back on pretending to attack Spiderman who continued to escape his multiple offensives.
“Dude! What is up with you villain trying to get at me?! Do I have a sign of ‘come on and get Spiderman’ look on my face?” he snapped and was getting tired of being the target of every villain he had encountered, which by the way only a few people; the Lizard, Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus.
Hawkeye raised an eyebrow at him underneath his shade before saying. “Well sorry pal, but you kind of a distraction that cannot be ignored.” He said. “How the heck am ‘I a distraction to you?! I only want to save and help people.” Spiderman confessed. It amused Hawkeye.
Spiderman eyed Hawkeye warily before asking. “Dude, you’re not one of those cops that after my head aren’t you?” He questioned in start. “What? No! I don’t work with those people. Not that they don’t do their best, but they just kind of suck at it.” Hawkeye babbled before he shook his head and said. “Hey! You’re trying to distract me!” He accused. This made Spiderman raise an eyebrow underneath his guise. ‘What the heck?’ he asked confusedly. “Lovely. No! What do you want from me anyway?” He asked.
“Uh… Capture you and make you join our little group?” Hawkeye said without thinking. Spiderman snorted. “Me? Join your group? Sorry pal but I’m not interested. I’m one of those people who work along. The loner and emo type. So you better find someone else who’s interested in joining your…whatever villain group you people are. Besides, I’m not a bad guy and I’m sure you villains don’t like a good guy like me.” Peter said.
‘Sneaky.’ Hawkeye thought. “Uh… Might I point out that I’m not a bad guy, I’m on your side?” He said. “Oh, really? Then what are you?” Spiderman asked. “I work for SHIELD. An organization who gathers people with the ability like you.” He said.
“Uh… Seriously?! So what you some kind of like the SWAT group or something?” He asked. “…Something likes that… We work for the government--” Hawkeye exclaimed but got cut off as Spiderman quickly said. “No thanks. I don’t like working with the government or becoming one of their dogs who they could order around. So sorry. Find someone else.” Spiderman said as he grabbed his bag and took off, leaving Hawkeye behind dumfounded. “Wait--! Great… He left!” Hawkeye grumbled.
“What?! Dude did you just miss our target again?” Tony asked annoyed that they had yet again missed their target. “Nah, don’t worry... I have placed the device inside Spiderman’s personal bag. You should be able to track him soon enough since I switch the tracker on.” He added.
“Well goody. Time to track Spidey.” He said.
“Spidey?” Steve asked through their communication. “My new nickname for Spiderman since it’s kind of easier calling him that.” He pointed out. “Spidey huh? Great nickname.” Hawkeye said as he supplied. “So? Did you track him yet?” He asked. “Yeah. He’s on the move. Just wait for us there so we can all catch up and find out where his hideout is.” Tony said before informing the rest of the team.
“I’ll just play with my iPhone 'til you guys get here.” He said.
Not a minute later, Iron Man and Captain America - who was being carried by Iron Man – and the rest of the Avengers arrived. Hawkeye looked up at Captain America, “Come on get up so we can catch up to Spidey.” He ordered.
Soon they followed to where Spiderman’s location by through their tracking device which was on Tony’s armor suit as the tracker pin-pointed somewhere near Midtown Science High School. “Huh?! Spiderman stopped around here?” Tony said. “Something’s not right.” He crooned as he double checked his device. Bruce, who reverted back to his normal size and form, saw something near a tree.
“I think I know the problem…” He said as he pointed to where the device was placed, hanging in the center of a tree as the other turned around and looked at what he was pointing at before they blinked in comprehension. “Dammit!” Tony cursed. “Ha?! How the heck did he know where I put that thing?” Clint asked in confusion. “He probably opened his bag to get something and saw the tracker and took it out?” Bruce said. “Now how are we going to find out who Spiderman is now when we can’t find him? Dammit!” Tony cursed again.
“I don’t know? You came up with the idea in the first place.” Clint said as he and Tony began to argue again. “Don’t you think is kind of weir that Spiderman stopped here at Midtown Science high school?” Bruce asked.
“You’re right.” Steve said. “It’s might be that he’s a student here.” Natasha nonchalantly established. “It could be.” Tony had frozen and clogged his argument with Clint at the mention of that. “So… You’re saying that our guy could be none other than a kid?” Tony asked.
“Well, I’m just assuming that he might be.” Bruce said. “The only one way to find out if our guy is nothing but a kid...” Natasha said. “Wait! You think what I’m thinking?” Tony asked as Natasha nodded her head. “It looks like we don’t have a choice but to investigate here tomorrow and see if some of the students look like our target?” She said. “Oh… You guys don’t have to worry about looking for our guy… I know what his bag looks like.” Clint said. Everyone turned to stare at him. “Are you sure?” Steve asked. “Yeah. I remember the color of his bag despite quick and short dispute.” He said.
“Are you sure?” Steve asked just to be said. “It color green with a few pins and stickers.” He said. “That’s good. What kind of stickers and pins were they so it would easier for us to track him down tomorrow morning.” He said. “It was uh…” Clint stopped. Tony snorted. “Oh now you forgot it?”
Clint snapped. “No! I remember what it looks like. It’s just that don’t laugh or freak out?” He asked as they blinked at him. “No…why would we?” Steve asked as Clint sighed before saying it out loud. “His bag was full of Captain American and Iron Man logo stickers and a pin that had ‘I heart Science’ written on it.” He said.
“So the kid is like what? A fan of Cap and Tony?” Bruce asked. “Ha! Did you hear it cap?! The kid loves us!” Tony said. “Iron Man… Knock it off... So what if he’s one of our fans? We still need to capture him and ask him a few questions or so. We should be all up early tomorrow to get here and get our target first thing in the morning, okay?” He ordered.
“Didn’t Coulson say someone encountered Spiderman and helped him find an antidote was a student from here? I remember I read it on the files.” Natasha said. “It’s better if we double check then so we can ask that person as well if he or she knows Spiderman.” Steve said which Natasha agreed.

The earth mightiest heroes dressed in their casual garments, waiting in front of the school for the arrival of their target inside SHIELD’s borrowed vehicle. Clint was monitoring the screen, keeping watch on the backgrounds. “So Tasha, find anything new about the person we’re looking for?” Steve asked while looking outside the window. His husband sighed from the driver seat.
“Yes, this person is a she. Name is Gwen Stacy, working for Oscorp as a part time job and also the one who made the antidote and gave it to Spiderman to stop the Doctor Connor from succeeding with his plan.” She explained. “Oh. How does she look like?” Steve asked. “That--…ahh, talk about the devil.” She grinned as she pointed to a girl who walked towards the school, wearing a white sleeve with black stripes and a black mini skirt. Her hair loosened freely and she strode gracefully on her black boots.
Tony whistled which earned him a glare from his husband who was sitting next to him. “What?” Tony asked innocently. Steve just continued to glare at him. Tony rolled his eyes at Steve’s covetous attitude. “Hey guys! We’ve found our guy!” Clint called. They shifted their attention outside, eyes never leaving the figure of a tall, scarily slender boy who was following Gwen Stacy from behind like a puppy in love. The boy was about 5’10 feet tall, in a dark t-shirt underneath his darkish hoodie jacket, adorned with black pants and a pair of old worn sneakers. His bag dangled behind him whilst he was on his skateboard.
“…so that’s our guy?” Tony asked as they watched Peter heading towards the school. “Yup.” Clint said. “Might as well ask students later between or after school?” Steve probed. “Good idea, cap.” Natasha got out of the car as everyone turned to stare at her. “What are you doing Tasha?” Tony’s brows contorted.
“I’m going inside and ask the principal for an interview with Gwen Stacy. I’ll tell them that I’m a FBI or CSI, trying to investigate the incident that happened in this school three months ago. I’m sure it’s the closest thing I can get to talk to Gwen Stacy if she knows Spiderman.” She said as she didn’t allow Tony to finish. She straightened her back and headed towards the destination.
“Now what are we going to do?” Tony asked. “Hmm… Maybe I could also do the same with Natasha? Ask the principal for our target to get him some internship or something? I’ll might be able to get some info out of him that way in a nice way?” Bruce said. “Good idea, Bruce Oh and can you put this thing on so that we can know what’s going on in there too while you talk to the kid?” Tony wiggled as he handed him a wireless-ear set, a small camera for them to know what was going inside. Bruce nodded his head before getting out of the car and joined the Black Widow.

Natasha glanced around the hallway. She noted the students were talking among each other before she spotted the principal in a deep conversation with a male student. The moment they were done, she made her way toward him. The headmaster of the school saw her making a beeline towards him. “Yes? What can I do for you ma’am?” He asked. “Ah, yes. I’m Detectives Romanoff.” She said. The man’s eyes squinted “What can I do for you, Detective?” He asked. “I’m here to ask about the incident three months ago? I actually work for the CSI-” Here, Natasha showed off her proficiently fake-designated badge, “-and they want me to investigate one of your students that was involved with the incident at Oscorp. If I’m not mistaken, she worked there as her part time job. And I think her name was--” She was interrupted by the man.
“Ah… I see you’re here to ask a few questions with Miss Stacy? There were already police officers asking her about it. I’ll see what I can do to call her to my office so you can see her for yourself." He said. “Ah, that would be great and thank you sir.” Natasha said. “No problem ma’am. Now let’s head to my office, you can wait for her there while I’ll go get Miss Stacy from her class.” He said as Natasha nodded. They walked straight towards his office.
They got inside the office as the principal let Natasha sit on one of the chairs. He excused himself to go and get Miss Stacy. Just then there was a knock on his door as he said. “Yes?” He asked once the door slightly ajar. His secretary’s head peaked in, informing “Sir, Mr. Banner’s here to see you.” She said. The principal frowned before saying. “Let’s him in, Tina.” He gestured. Once Bruce stepped inside, Natasha sent a ‘what are you doing here’ glance. Bruce shrugged weakly, sending a calm nod her way.
“Ah, what can I do for you Mr. Banner?” He said as both Natasha and Bruce looked up at him. Bruce snapped and remembered what he aimed to do and said. “I’m here to ask if I can interview some of your honor students for an invitation of intern scholarship, sir.” he hurriedly added. “I was actually told by Mr. Tony Stark to find him a brilliant student to work in his company.” He explained. “I thought that Mr. Stark wasn’t interested in those?” The principal asked.
“He had a change of mind and thought of it as ‘Why not try’ thing sir.”
“Very well. I could give you a few lists of our honor students here that might interest you…” He said as he went to pick up a thick folder with student grade background. “Thank you. That would be great. Does the student have pictures of them so I may know who I’m looking or dealing with sir.” He said.
The principal nodded in understanding before he went to pick up a second file with photos of chosen students, handling it to Bruce. “Here they are. You can look them up and just come back later or anytime when you have picked one, and I might call them for you so you can interview them." He brushed the bridge of his nose.
“Okay… I’ll be just outside to look this over with and call you when I’m done. Mr. Stark had only told me to pick the best student I see fit to work for him.” With that, Bruce left the room but not before he heard the headmaster made a call for Gwen Stacy.
-0-
Gwen was confused. There was a sudden call for her from the office even though she hadn’t done anything lately. Heck, she hadn’t done a single wrong thing at all. Once she arrived, Gwen knocked on the door. “Sir, you call me?” She heard the principal telling her to get in. Inside, the man wasn’t alone. There sitting was a woman with a fiery hair, a strange look on her face. She turned to look at her. “Ah, Miss Stacy, glad that you made it. I like you to meet Agent Romanoff. She works for the CSI and wants to talk to you about the incident occurred three months ago.” He said.
Gwen eyed Natasha suspiciously before saying. “Okay.” She said. “Good. I shall let you talk in another private room. Miss Stacy I’m sure you can show Miss Romanoff to where it is?” He questioned. Gwen bobbed, leading Natasha out of the office as the two went to another room. “So Miss Romanoff, what would you like to ask me about?” She asked. “Well I’m here to ask you a question regarding the Lizard. We notice that you seem to know Spiderman and we would like to know if you have anything do with it or if you somehow know him or work alongside with him?” She asked.
“Oh…I’m sorry but I really don’t know who he is. He just came up to me one time and asked me for the antidote to cure and stop Doctor. After that I just handed him the formula when I was done making the antinode. He just wandered off and I never see him.” Gwen squeaked.
“Is that all?” She asked.
“Yes...”
“Okay… Can I ask one more thing? It is said here in your statement that you and Mr. P…Peter Parker has been seen hanging out lately and some of your friends said that I should ask you if he was involved. They said you only interact with this kid.” She said.
“Oh...” Stacy said in a small voice before saying. “I…Peter doesn’t have anything to do with this. He’s not even involved. They might think that since he always gets himself in trouble but really he doesn’t even know that I met with Spiderman. He’s one of my classmates that I felt sorry for and helped since he’s always getting picked. After that we become friends. Really he wasn’t involved with anything at all. He was at home when that whole Lizard thing happened. He told me that he was studying at that time.” She said.
“Very well.” Natasha said. “Is that all? Because I really should be getting back to my classes.” She said. Natasha nodded. “Yes, that’s all you can go now.”
Gwen excused herself as she went out. ‘Hmm… I wonder? I think it is also better to talk and interview this Peter Parker to see if anything suspicious that can lead me to believe that this Parker kid is our Spiderman.’ Natasha gathered her stuff. She stopped short when she looked at the photo of Peter Parker the Agent had sent her.
She couldn’t help it. That kid had the same name as the nephew they had lost a long time ago and she couldn’t help but feel disappointed at herself for not trying to look hard for Peter all those years ago. ‘If our Peter was still alive I’m sure that he was about the same age as this Parker kid.’ She thought before sighing and getting out of the room. There was no point in agonizing about it.

When Bruce was done, his eyes caught a photo of one ‘Peter Benjamin Parker’ and couldn’t help but to read and look over at his files, and to his surprise, the kid was really smart despite his outer appearance. Never judge a book by its cover, eh? He was a straight A’s student. Bruce got up and went back to the office. “I have already picked a student and I would like to interview Mr. Parker since he caught my attention. The child is quite smart and I would like to see if he is more than that. He’s the only one that stands out the most.” He said. The principal winced at the mention of Peter.
“Oh him?” He said before sighing. “Sir? Is there a problem that I should be aware about this child?” Bruce tilted his head. “Ah. No. Yes Peter is a great choice. It’s just that I don’t think you might want to pick him as a student. His attitude is a little too much.”
“I won’t know that unless if I see him for it myself. I’d be the judge whether if he is the one or not.” Bruce solidified. “Very well. I shall tell my secretary to patch Mr. Parker right away Mr. Banner.” He said.
“I’ll wait here then.”

It was Peter turn to be confused when he was called to the principal office as he followed Ms Tina towards the office. When he was in, he saw not only their principal but someone else. On the chair sat a man, wearing a purple sleeve shirt, brown pants and office shoes. “Ah. Parker. Have a sit.” His principal declared. He blinked his eyes before sitting down. “You called for me sir?” Peter asked.
“Mr. Banner here would like to interview you about an internship.” He said.
“Internship? But I didn’t request for any internship, sir.” He stated.
“Mr. Banner here is looking for a student to offer an internship.” He said. “Um… May I ask why?” Peter asked as he added. “And why me? I mean they probably have plenty of students here that are legible. So why me?” He asked. “Mr. Banner has taken an interest in your grade and-” The principal said but was cut off as Bruce cut in.
“You’re the only one stands out from the rest. I mean I did look at the other students and their grades however yours was the only one I deem worth it.” Bruce clarified.
“Wow… I mean I don’t know whether to be flattered… I…”
“If you want we can talk more? I was actually here to interview a student that I see fit to take an Internship for the Stark Industry.” He said.
Peter was dumbstruck “Wait! Stark Industry?! As in the one and only Stark industry?!” He asked. Bruce chuckled at the kid’s expression and said. “Ah. Yes…you see Mr. Stark wishes for me to find a better…student for him to take in with…as an internship…err…offer?” He stuttered.
“I would love to try for the internship after-” Peter said.
“Well that good to hear. Sir, may Peter be excused for the rest of the class for today? It seems that I’ll be interviewing him the whole day.” Bruce verbalized. “Of course not at all. I’ll inform the rest of Peter’s teachers and let them know.” The principal said.
“And may I take Peter somewhere else for our interview?”
“I won’t mind so long as Peter would let me know if he has made his decision so that I can let his guardian know of this great offer.” The principal said. ‘Guardian?’ Bruce thought. “Shall we take this somewhere else Parker?”
Peter nodded.
“If you want we can take this at the basketball gym since there won’t be any practice for today.” Peter notified. Bruce agreed as the two headed out. (Yes! Way to go, Bruce!) Clint voice could be heard through the intercom. Bruce couldn’t help but to grin silently in his head while following Peter to the gym.
Unknown to peter he was heading right under their trap.
