Relationship: Kim Dokja/Han Yoojin. (Dokjin)

Ages: Kim Dokja (25), Han Yoojin (25) (sorry ppl I just had to make em the same age-)

Scenario: Dokja read S classes that I raised as his favorite novel instead of Three ways to survive in a ruined world. Chaos ensues for Dokja in the form of Han Yoojin and his comrades when the novel becomes a reality, Dokja goes into a coma, wakes up and meets his protagonist- can't spoil more sorry-

Also! Just saying, the gates suddenly appeared and people suddenly got powers, not like how in s classes that I raised the gates were present for a long time and then suddenly opened-

Kim Dokja tried to keep his face neutral, though on the inside, he was feeling giddy as well as sad and nervous at the same time. Today was the day. The day of release, of the last chapter of his beloved novel.

It was so weird that S classes that I raised didn't get many views. None except for him in the past three years honestly. People these days, can't recognize peak fiction, can they?

But Dokja would be lying if he wasn't happy that such a treasure was his to gatekeep.

Though, at times being the only one in the fandom was… kinda hard, but he reassured himself that at least the author kept writing and didn't abandon the work because they were getting only one viewer.

The ping of the notification brought Dokja back to focus, and a quiet gasp left his mouth. The last chapter… it was finally here! Oh, oh yes!

Dokja began to relentlessly tap on the floor of the train with his foot, as he opened the notification for the novel. Oh, he wonders… will Han Yoojin's secret activation words finally be revealed?!

But before Dokja could even begin reading the chapter, the train suddenly screeched to a halt, and he fell forward, phone still clenched in hand. He scrambled up, hearing alarmed murmurs from all the passengers. What was happening…?

Deciding to read the last chapter later, Dokja pocketed his phone and clenched his bag close to his chest, eyes darting around. Suddenly, a screeching noise was heard, and the roof of the train collapsed. Dokja tried to jump away, but the debris fell on him.

A pained groan left Dokja's mouth, his head feeling lightheaded and dizzy. His hand came up to his temple, and he felt something warm and sticky there.

Huh…?

With unfocused eyes, he looked at the red coating his hand. Blood… the crushing weight on his back and legs finally registered, searing pain going through his whole body until it started to slowly numb away. He… he couldn't feel his legs…

He faintly heard the screeching noise again, along with screaming and frantic cries, and even saw weird creatures flying around, but he couldn't be bothered about that right now. He felt…

tired

His eyes slowly began to close. Ah… sleep doesn't sound so bad… it never did after all…

Dokja felt hazy, his eyelids heavy, and his whole body stiff. His fingers twitched, And slowly, almost painfully, he cracked open an eye. God, why does it feel like he's waking up from a long sleep…

Adjusting his eyes to the lighting in the room, he faintly registered the beeping noise, as well as the antiseptic smell, and the very hospital-like set up.

Huh…?

Why's he in the hospital…?

Did something happen to him…?

What's the last thing he remembered?

Dokja narrowed his eyes, brows furrowed together. Uh… it was… the… the-

The door opened, and in came a nurse. Dokja's eyes widened slightly in relief, as he tried to speak up, to ask her what he was doing here, but his throat felt dry, and it felt like he'd forgotten how to speak, voice not coming out like it wasn't used for a long time.

The nurse looked up from her clipboard, and froze when she saw Dokja. The… the patient woke up!

She quickly went out of the room and yelled out.

“Patient 4951 has woken up! Get me a doctor in here right now!”

Dokja blinked, nose scrunched up. Patient 4951…? Uh… what does she mean woke up…?

From some surgery or something? He doesn't remember scheduling a surgery-

The nurse quickly came to his bedside. “Hello, hello? Mr. Kim? Can you understand me?”

Dokja furrowed his brows. What does she think he is? Dumb? Deaf?

Still, Dokja nodded, his neck feeling stiff just like the rest of his body.

The nurse brought a glass of water to his lips, and instructed him to sip slowly. And Dokja did, getting some cool water down his parched throat without choking.

A surprised doctor came in, fixing his glasses as he looked over Dokja's reports. “Yes… mmhm… he seems stable… You are a lucky man. Out of the many patients who became comatose after the rupture, you were in the very few that woke up.”

Comatose…? Rupture? What the hell-?

“Ah, right… you must not understand your current situation. Nurse, please calmly explain to him the world's… current, predicament.”

Dokja watched as the Nurse went out of the room after giving him the good news that he'll be discharged in 2 days, gently closing the door behind herself.

The rupture… It's… it's literally the same as the one Han Yoojin went through! How is that possible?!

It wasn't the fact that all this fairytale shit suddenly appeared that made Dokja feel stunned, it's that it was the same as the novel he has read. Ditto. Same.

He wonders if Han Yoojin exists too… oh… what would his protagonist look like…? True, Dokja has imagined him multiple times keeping his description in mind, but of course his imagination won't be able to compare to the real man.

Then again, does the man even exist? Just because the coincidence of the rupture is the same, doesn't mean that Han Yoojin exists too-

“”BREAKING NEWS! HUNTER HAN YOOHYUN HAS JUST DEFEATED ANOTHER S RANKED GATE WITH HIS GUILD!”

… Well. Yoohyun exists- Yoojin must too-

okay so- no one tell on him, but the thought of maybe someday meeting his protagonist has Dokja feeling both giddy and nervous-

So! Random update after a week! His apartment (Thank God he owned the thing or else-), so God damn trashed and dusty, but still existing, was one of the only things he currently owned.

Along with around… 143400 won. Thank God he had at least this much saved up.

…And he's unfortunately and begrudgingly also thankful to Sung Hyunjae. For funding the recovery and hospital bills of the ones affected by the rupture. Which includes him.

So that's the hospital bill taken care of!

And then came the problem of job… should he put “one of the few survivors of the rupture’s first appearance” in his resume? Might help him secure a place-

Dokja sighed, walking back down the street after another one of the 4 interviews he's given the past week. Didn't go as bad, but still…

The sun was dipping below the horizon, the sky turning orange. His focus, however, was on his phone.

After securing his apartment again and settling things with the hospital checkups, he finally got time to think over his situation again. And during that, he realized… he still hadn't read the last chapter-

So he had gone to the website and searched the webnovel, but… nothing came up. Not a single trace. He thought he had maybe put the name wrong, so he tried again.

It didn't work.

He searched by author's name.

Author doesn't exist??

He retraced his search history.

Not. A. Single. Mention. Of. S. Classes. That. I. Raised.

Which leads him to search on every single online forum he can find and maybe, hopefully, find a trace of it.

Because WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIS LIFE FORCE DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE?!

Han Yoojin sighed, frustration evident on his face. What the HELL IS UP WITH THESE TWO GIANT, BUFF, HANDSOME MEN FIGHTING TO DRIVE HIM HOME HUH?! HE CAN GO HOME BY HIMSELF THANK YOU VERY MUCH-!

Yoojin let out a surprised Yelp when someone bumped into him, about to fall face first and hit the ground- when the same person caught him by the waist in the nick of time, small apologies falling from his mouth.

“I am so sorry- I was too absorbed in my phone and wasn't looking where I was going and- God I'm so sorry!”

That was… such a melodic voice…

Han Yoojin shook his head as he stabilized himself and turned around. “No, no, it's fine-” and he froze when his eyes locked onto the man's face.

The man was taller than him, his office suit a little disheveled, the tie pulled out a little (sultrily- his brain uselessly supplied-), his office bag clutched to his chest as he looked to the side, an embarrassed blush creeping from his cheeks down his neck.

Oh… would his whole body be red if I kissed his neck- (a/n: ... Chill Yoojin-ah, he's all yours don't worry-)

Yoojin had to literally slap his cheeks physically to get his thoughts back on track, causing the stranger to look at Yoojin again. “Uh… are you okay…?”

Yoojin let out a small sigh, and smiled at the “stranger”. “Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks. I'm Han Yoojin, by the way.”

The guy's eyes lit up in an instant. “Oh, You’re THE Han Yoojin?!”

Yoojin chuckled. “Hmm? I didn't think I would get fans this early.” The guy froze, and

looked to the side again, stuttering. “Y-yeah, fan, uhm… definitely…”

Han Yoojin prodded further. “And you are…?”

The stranger fumbled just a little. “D-dokja! I'm Kim Dokja…”

… Hot name for a Hot guy- OH WOULD YOU PLEASE JUST GO AWAY?!

Yoojin had to shake his head to clear the haze of falling for a literal stranger (a HoT Stranger, who's name is DOKJA, his brain supplied again), when he noticed Taewon and Hyunjae still going back and forth. 10 minutes and they still couldn't settle it…

Yoojin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Oh for God's sake…”

Dokja looked between Yoojin and the two handsome men fighting. “Uh… are they fighting to take you home?”

Yoojin mutters 'unfortunately…'

“So… if they're making you late, maybe uh… I could walk home with you? We could get to know each other- ah- if you want to that is!”

“Yeah, I know. They're- w-wait- what-?” Yoojin looked away for a second, trying to compose himself cuz his face was bright red, cuz WTF HOT STRANGER WANTS TO TAKE ME HOME- MY HOME BUT STILL-

HE WOULDN'T EVEN MIND IT IF IT TURNS OUT TO BE SOME MAFIA GUY TRYING

TO KIDNAP HIM- GOD SHUT UPPPP!!!

(… What in the name of cringy fanfiction-)

TOOOOOTTTT! THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

ANYWAY-

Yoojin was silent for a moment, glanced at the other two and didn't think twice, smirking as he looped his arm with Dokja’s and began to tug him down the street.

“Sure! So! Do you wanna start or should I?”

“so you can tame animals?! That's so COOL!” Dokja really can't tell if he's faking his excitement or if it's real, because of course, he already knows technically everything about Yoojin, but meeting him face to face and hearing from himself about that…

“Mmhm! But don't tell anyone else! I'm still not very open about such a rare ability.” Yoojin said proudly, leading Dokja up the stairs.

… And him trusting Dokja to tell him such a big thing when barely other people know is-

“Here we are-”

Before Yoojin could open the apartment's door, it swung open and there stood… Han. Yoohyun. THE HAN YOOHYUN.

“HYUNG! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! THE LIGHTNING BASTARD LOST YOU DIDN'T HE?! AND-”

His gaze immediately snapped to Dokja, assessing him, and Dokja forgot to be scared, instead in awe because this was THE TSUNDERE™ of the novel.

“Yeah uhm- anyway- Yoohyun, meet Kim Dokja, my new friend!” Yoojin introduced him, and Dokja nodded, eyes still wide with fascination.

“Nice to meet you…”

Yoohyun narrowed his eyes, nodded just a little, then pushed Yoojin into the apartment- correction, penthouse, Dokja just noticed- and tried to close the door.

Before Yoojin stuck his foot in to stop the door from closing and smiled sharply at Yoohyun.

“You see, yoohyunnie, I was inviting Dokja in because he's been such a nice guy, helping me back home.”

Yoohyun grumbled, about to protest but it died on his tongue when he saw his brother looking very invested, and backed away to let Dokja in.

“Oh- no, I possibly couldn't-”

“Oh, you definitely can!” Yoojin tugged Dokja in, not letting him back away. “You can leave your shoes by the door, and Yoohyun will show you to the TV lounge. I'll get the tea ready. Yoohyunnie, come to the kitchen afterwards, yeah?”

Yerim is very, very irritated at the lousy men running the Hunter's association. What the hell do you mean she can't clear an A rank dungeon by herself?! She's an S rank, she's PERFECTLY CAPABLE!

Grumbling as she entered the apartment, she raised an eyebrow at the extra pair of shoes at the rack. Huh…?

And then she heard a laugh. Her Ahjussi. Hmn… must be Yoohyun doing something again to snatch all of Ahjussi’s attention-

But that did not seem like the case, when Yerim entered the lounge and saw her Ahjussi talking with some man like they were close friends, while Yoohyun was sulking in the corner, quite literally, glaring every few minutes at the stranger's back, who stayed oblivious and... unaffected, to it…

What- even PEACE WAS SITTING COMFORTABLY ON THAT RANDOM MAN'S LAP?!

PEACE NEVER SAT CLOSE TO ANYONE EXCEPT FOR AHJUSSI!

Yerim sneaked over to the kitchen, eyes still trained at how her Ahjussi talked like he had finally found someone who was on the same thought frequency as him.

“Hey- oi, psst- what the hell is going on? Who's that guy?”

Yoohyun grumbled. “... Dokja.”

“what- who?”

“Kim Dokja. Apparently he helped Hyung so Hyung felt obliged to invite him to tea.”

“... seriously??”

“Hmph.”

“No, wait- WHAT DO YOU MEAN HYUNG JUST-!” and her whisper scream seemed to have gained the attention of both men.

“Ah, Yerim! You're back! How'd your raid go?” Yerim froze, turning slightly with an awkward smile on her face. “Ahahaha… Ahjussi… Hi- yes, I'm back. The raid went… I'll tell you later. So who's your… friend?”

The man- Dokja, as Yoohyun had told her- waved his hand.

“Hi. I'm Kim Dokja. I, uh… recently met your Ahjussi…?”

Yoojin nodded. “mmhm! And we've become quite the fast friends!”

Dokja smiled slightly at that. Friends… with his favorite protagonist… what dream can be this amazing…?

Yerim narrowed her eyes. “uh huh… nice friend of yours Ahjussi. So when are you gonna be free? I wanted to tell you something.”

Yoojin shrugged, turning back towards Dokja. “In a bit, Yerim.”

… Yerim was positive what she currently felt was jealousy. Jealousy over the fact that this random man just came in and got close to her Ahjussi even faster than she could! EXCUSE ME?!

Dokja had a wonderful day chatting with Yoojin. Such random things talked about in which they both shared many- if not similar- experiences. Babysitting, working from an early age, being introverted, what not.

Which is why when Yoojin earnestly asked Dokja to come over next Saturday- much to Yerim’s shock and Yoohyun’s rage- Dokja couldn't help but accept. They even traded numbers!

And God was it nerve wrecking when Peace suddenly came up to him. Dokja wanted to squeak and scramble away, but the little cub had sniffed him a few times, and without a second thought, plopped into his lap.

Dokja had sat there frozen stiff, glancing at Yoojin with a helpless and pleading look when he had come with the tea. Yoojin looked surprised, but smiled, saying Peace had quickly warmed up to Dokja, which meant Dokja had been a comfortable place. Which made Dokja laugh awkwardly, but the little ball of fluff curled on his lap wasn't… all that bad

Ah… what a sudden turn of events for him… towards much better times since he has a connection with his protagonist. He hopes-

As Dokja sat in his seat at the train- surprisingly not having trauma of riding them after he woke up from his coma- his phone dinged.

Yoojin 🦁

Hey Dokja-yah!

… Wow- already comfortable-? I mean- I don't really mind-

Yoojin 🦁

Today was really fun and relaxing, seriously.

You better be here next Saturday. Peace already looks like he missed your lap~ I'll coax him with mine till then.

… Well. Maybe animals like me-

Dokja hesitated for barely a second, contemplating if he should even be bothering Yoojin, but before he could spiral into random overthinking, he wrote a quick message.

Dokja

Sure, Yoojin-ssi!

I'm free, so I'll be there.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into 5 months. In between which Dokja had somehow gotten very close to Yoojin (who had convinced him to move next door into their penthouse somehow?? Dokja still wonders how that had even happened-), the bane of existence for Yerim and Yoohyun (Dokja still doesn't know that tho- and thinks it's their typical Tsundere behavior and doesn't really mind it-), Peace's personal chair most of the time (which made him spend even more time with Yoojin-) and apparently… an object of curiosity for Sung Hyunjae?? (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!)

Which is how he's here, in Yoojin’s training center, sitting next to Yoojin with Hyunjae across from them, that absurdly good looking yet chilling smile on his face because it felt like he was always analyzing you. Peace, as usual, was in Dokja's lap, though his little paw was on Yoojin's lap.

“Interesting how you can get Peace attached to you while you aren't even an awakened, much less an animal trainer, Dokja-ssi.” Hyunjae leaned forward, head propped onto his palm.

Dokja averted his gaze, instead looking to peace and petting him on his head. “Ahaha…I know… even I don't understand how that's possible…”

Yoojin huffed. “Well, you see Hyunjae, Dokja's just special like that. Which, honestly, is

none of your concern. He's likable, for humans and animals alike.”

Dokja blinked. The hell-?

Hyunjae chuckled, leaning back and narrowing his focus on Dokja, smile still on his face.

“That, I can't argue with.”

WHAT- AND HE JUST AGREED WITH THAT?! WHAT IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!

Before Dokja could look at Yoojin to whisper ask what he had meant, they heard a sudden crash. Dokja's eyes widened as he looked up just in time to see a large wasp crashing through the over glass dome of the building, right at him.

Oh…

And everything was a rush and a blur after that.

Yoojin was getting irritated by Hyunjae. Why the hell can't he stop asking things about Dokja?!

Sure, Yoojin had used his skill on Dokja and seen his rank- which, to be fair, was UNFAIR yet totally reasonable, cuz c'mon man, it's Dokja- which was a literal A and could be upgraded to S+++?! His skill was hidden for some reason, but no doubt It would be just as op.

But that didn't mean he wanted to force Dokja into this life. Quite the opposite, actually- he wanted to keep him as far away from the life of a hunter as possible. which is why he never used his keywords on him. He had told himself that only in an emergency would he do so.

When there didn't seem like any other option.

His irritation over Hyunjae, however, turned into shock and panic as the glass dome shattered from one place, a wasp bursting through because it had been hit hard, going straight at Dokja.

Given the split second to react, Peace transformed and snatched Dokja out of harm's way, as Hyunjae pulled Yoojin by his golden chains right into his arms, while simultaneously wrapping the wasp in his golden chains.

Yoojin didn't spare a second however, running right towards Dokja, who looked shaken up.

“Dokja-yah, are you okay?!” Dokja looked up at Yoojin with wide eyes, gasping and nodding.

“Y-yeah I'm- I'm fine…”

“Good, you stay here, we're going to handle this-”

Another crash resounded all around the building as it shook, More wasps coming in. Peace bared his fangs at them, while Hyunjae stood next to him.

“Well isn't this interesting… these wasps look different then the one I caught.”

Yoojin narrowed his eyes at them, and saw their eyes glowing with a dull red, and red black veins wrapped around their stingers.

“What the hell…”

And then he got an alert from his system.

WARNING!!!

CORRUPTED BEINGS AHEAD!

DO NOT GET STUNG BY THEM!

Yoojin sighed, getting onto Peace's back. “Well. I guess it's fire and dodge.”

It was, in fact, not as easy as Yoojin had said. 20 minutes of non-stop fighting, and the bastard creatures didn't die! Not even by Hyunjae’s continuous lightning bursts!

Mid jump, a wasp collided with Peace, pushing him down, hence causing Yoojin to imbalance and fall back into destroyed concrete, grazing him, and with him using his caretaker skill continuously, he was drained.

“Ughhh…” Yoojin groaned, coughing, his body aching. What the hell is up with those wasps?! Why are they so strong?!

“Yoojin!” Dokja, hiding behind in the building, ran over, worried as hell, placing Yoojin's head in his lap.

“C’mon, don't- hey, don't fall unconscious! You need to survive! I- I- should I call Yoohyun- damn it he was at that portal with Yerim- uh- UH-”

Yoojin's eyes widened, when a new status window opened in front of him.

NOTICE!

HONEY, THIS FRIEND OF YOURS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN HELP! YOU NEED TO AWAKEN HIM! USE YOUR PHRASE!

… Excuse me? NO WAY IN HELL-!

NOTICE!

SORRY HONEY, BUT HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO'S SKILL IS ADVANCED TO THE LEVEL OF CORRUPTION! YOU NEED TO DO IT!

Yoojin groaned, a hand subconsciously coming to rest on Dokja's chest. Damn it… I didn't want to drag him here, but… if this is the only chance…

“H-hey, Dokja…”

Dokja, who had been lost in brainstorming any type of way in which he could help, snapped to attention, taking Yoojin's hand in his own. “Yeah?! What do you want me to do?!”

Yoojin coughed, then managed to mutter out. “I… I love you…”

Dokja froze for a second, his whole body stilling. “What- I- I love you too- but this- hey- HEY YOOJIN STAY AWAKE-!”

Unfortunately, Dokja accepting the caretaker’s words drew immense power from Yoojin to awaken Dokja, and he started to close his eyes, just as he caught a glimpse of Dokja's back having ethereal black wings and his head beautiful small horns, his eyes black with a sharp tint of red.

Yoojin had only one word to describe the surreal image of Dokja he had imagined.

Majestic.

Heh… he really does have a crush on him… maybe he should confess to Dokja for real as well…

And then he fell unconscious.

Yoojin groaned, coming to in the hospital. Eyes burning, he slowly opened them, blinking multiple times to adjust the poor orbs (... I regret using this word).

“HYUNG!” The first to come to his bed was Yoohyun, worried as always, looking like he hadn't slept the past two days.

“Yoohyun-ah… hi…”

“I was so worried Hyung! Literally I came out of the gate and the first news I get is that you're in the hospital?! How couldn’t peace and that lightning bastard keep you safe?!”

Yoojin sighed, sitting up a little.“Now now, Yoohyun… it wasn't really their fault… and I'm not really harmed, am I? Just… drained.”

Before Yoohyun could refute Yoojin and come up with some type of foolproof plan of keeping Yoojin safe by locking him up like Repunzel, the door opened, and- oh, right!

“Oh, Yoojin! You're awake! Thank God.” Dokja stepped in, clearly looking relieved, but very much sleep deprived with the eye bags under his eyes.

“Yeah, I'm fine, no need to worry, Dokja-yah. Just a little drained. So much so that I imagined you as some type of Demon King when I fell unconscious. Talk about surreal imagination.Anyways, how’d you all take care of the wasps? I hope it was doable?” (yes, Yoojin tried to throw in a very failed joke in his opinion)

Dokja perked up. “Oh, You didn't imagine that at all! I actually awakened! My skill helped me to apparently control the corrupted monsters and apparently also snap them out of existence- wanna see?!”

Yoojin looked confused for a second about what Dokja was saying, until he transformed, ethereal black wings spreading behind him, two small red horns on his head, and his iris turning full black with a hint of red, but the whole Demonic look was reduced to being humane because Dokja looked excited with little twinkling eyes.

“See?! Now I can assist you as well-!”

Yoojin's jaw dropped, eyes wide. And then he fell back onto the pillows, eyes closing as he tried to control his probably blushing face. He probably fainted, he can't tell-

“YOOJIN-AH?!”

“HEY- DON'T DO THAT RIGHT NOW! HYUNG COULD GET A CARDIAC ARREST!”

“OF WHAT?!”

“OF AN A RANK! YOU BEING NEAR AN F RANK ISN'T SAFE FOR HIS MENTALITY!”

… I don't believe he's an A rank. I'm 100% sure he's already attained his S+++ rank-

“BUT YOU'RE A LITERAL S RANK!”

“MY SITUATION IS DIFFERENT! I'M HIS FAMILY!”

“WELL- WE'RE TECHNICALLY BOYFRIENDS NOW BECAUSE HE CONFESSED AND I RECIPROCATED-!”

… Oh my God I DID CONFESS TO HIM-!

“HYUNG DID WHAT-?!”

And Yoojin did faint then.

Bonus scene/Blooper:

Yoojin deciding to seduce Dokja with other methods.

Dokja: unaffected, still loving the same way.

Yoojin wearing the Chinese dress veryyy close to the Chinese garter belt dress (thingy idk what it is-) that one time:

Dokja: suddenly has a nosebleed not understanding why he's heating up-

Yoojin smirking, smug: ohohohoho~ what do we have here~?

Dokja looks away, hiding his face with his hands: NOTHING-!
