DEATH BATTLE 6

Chapter 1: Vergil VS Satsuki Kiryuin (Devil May Cry VS Kill La Kill)

Chapter Text

(Wiz and Boomstick - Official Death Battle Theme Song)

Adam: Vergil versus Satsuki Kiryuin.

Nakano: The Alpha and the Omega Dark Slayer of Devil May Cry against Kill la Kill's Student Council President of Honnoji Academy.

Vanessa: For this fight, we're using all 5 Devil May Cry games, shows and novels for Vergil, excluding the 2013 reboot and 2024 Peak of Combat. But for Satsuki, we'll be including the Kill la Kill: IF game to make more unique and fair since it's been confirmed canon by the same guy who made the anime. He's my dad Adam, that's Nakano and I'm his daughter Vanessa.

Adam: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win..... a DEATH BATTLE.

Vergil is the storm approaching DEATH BATTLE

Vergil is the storm approaching DEATH BATTLE

(Bury the Light - Casey Edwards)

Adam: Over two thousand years ago, a demon named Sparda rebelled against his own kind, choosing to fight for humans. While demons saw him as a traitor, others saw him as a hero who saved mankind, righteous and courageous, some of whom would worship him for years to come. After defeating Mundus and his legions of evil demonic forces, he would then seal the underworld to try and make sure they would not invade the human world again, but he also sealed himself, as he feared his power grew too great to stay there. However, before he did, he found love with a human named Eva and would father two twin boys.

Vanessa: You're probably aware of the younger of the two, Dante, the protagonist of the series, but the more level headed, yet power-hungry of the two is the Alpha and the Omega himself, Vergil. Dante and Vergil were complete opposites. Whereas Dante is cocky, Vergil is serious. Dante hated his demonic heritage, Vergil embraced it. But on that one night, some demons arrived and killed their mother Eva for revenge against Sparda, with both brothers separated in the process. Dante assumed Vergil was dead, but in reality he survived and would go down a dark path with the desire for power.

Nakano: He would reunite with Dante and nearly killed him in their first bout to claim more power for himself. Dante would get even in their rematch but failed to convince Vergil as he falls to the Underworld to challenge Mundus. Unfortunately, given that he was already tired from his fight with Dante, Vergil was easily defeated and tortured for years until he broke and became his servant as Nelo Angelo. Dante would be the one to kill his brother, but he would survive and escape after breaking from Mundus' control.

Vanessa: However, weakened and on death's door, Vergil would arrived in Fortuna and sever his son Nero's Devil Bringer arm into Yamato and split himself into two. The demon Urizen and the human V. What's this, Kingdom Hearts? V is Vergil's Nobody while Urizen is his Heartless? Anyways. After a long and brief battle, Urizen was defeated by Dante, but a dying V would impale him, thus merging the two and from their union came Vergil.

Vanessa: Vergil's demon heritage amplifies his physical stats by 11 and specializes in Iaijutsu, the art of quick draw. His Dark Slayer Style lets him teleport across the battlefield. He can healing fatal injuries as long as he has enough demonic energy and can use Devil Arms, weapons made from demons Vergil has defeated. He can use Beowulf for fisticuffs and expel light energy with Summoned Swords serving as projectiles since he dislikes guns. Force Edge is an unawakened sword of Sparda that he uses to summon whirlwind, attack at a distance with shockwaves and again, used as a projectile. But his most iconic weapon is a katana called Yamato.

Nakano: Yamato is the very same weapon Spard used to seal portal to the Demon World. In addition to being able to create portals, it can special ability to slash through dimensions and has proven to be able to cut space-time. His demon half Urizen can create protective barriers with Yamato so Vergil should be capable of the same. Not to mention it can nullify demonic energy which is why Nero wasn't able to heal from Vergil severing his Devil Bringer.

Adam: But when he's pushed to his limits, Vergil can tap into Devil Trigger, a form where his strength exponentially increases. While the multiplier varies from game to game, normal Devil Trigger is said to have a times 10 increase in power in the DMC2 guide and while there's no specific time limit for the form as of DMC 5, it does uses a lot of energy and could revert back to base when he runs out. Then there's a stronger variation dubbed Sin Devil Trigger, where Vergil is at his peak and going all out. Of course, such a form burns through his energy much faster and a very rough estimate puts the time limit at nearly half an hour. Granted that was when they're flying and not fighting.

Feats

Nearly killed Dante in their first fight

Stole Nero's Devil Bringer while weakened

Severed the Qliphoth Tree with Dante

Sliced thousands of raindrops in less than a second

Knocked out Dante for a month as Urizen

Defeated Elder Geryon Knight, Nidhogg, Proto Angelo as Scudo Angelo as V

Matched Dante at his best in DMC5

Together with Dante, defeated Arkham and stopped his ambitions

Eventually finally made peace with his twin brother and on much better terms with him

Survived Yamato being stabbed through him by Nero

Easily fended off Alpha: Crimson Weave

Defeated Mirror Vergil with Dante and Lucia

Defeated the Mirror Demon with Dante, Lucia and Alpha

Nakano: Vergil is undoubtedly one of the strongest fighters in DMC. He's killed Beowulf and took him as a Devil Arm, summoned the Qlipoth Tree to kill thousands of humans to gather the Qliphoth fruit and even managed to sever Nero's Devil Bringer faster than he could react despite Vergil being severely weakened. His son Nero was able to defeat the Savior who, using some of Nero's power, can sustain multiple dimensions that contained a sun and moon and survived being melted into a puddle so it's likely that Vergil's healing factor can do the same thing. He's even shrugged off Yamato impaling him, the same sword that cuts space-time.

Adam: He's bested Dante in their first duel and knocked him out for a month straight as Urizen. Though he would lose to Dante twice in the original DMC and DMC 3, Vergil has since matched Dante at his peak in DMC 5 and by that point Dante has defeated the most powerful demons the Demon World had to offer, including Mundus, an alternate version of Mundus and Argosax. In fact, multiple sources claim Urizen has surpassed Mundus after he ate the Qliphoth fruit.

Vanessa: Mundus created an entire universe with little effort in seconds and was going to collapse the Underworld upon his defeat. The speed needed create it is worth 587 quadrillion times FTL. Void Mundus, an alternate and stronger version, successfully merged with Demon World meaning he's an entire universe itself and Argosax, Mundus' equal, is stated to have the power of every demon and was in the process of merging the said worlds. This is already universal, but we can crank it up to multiverse.

Popup: In the PGR x DMC crossover "Lamento di Phantasma", Vergil has matched and overpowered Alpha who scales to the likes of Lucia and Luna, both of whom possess multiverse levels of power and the PGR cosmology being 26-dimensional as discussed with Kiana VS Lucia. However, it remains heavily debatable to use this as while it takes place after DMC 5, there's a possibility it's only canon to PGR given unless referenced in future games.

Adam: Mundus created the universe with ease and said to "span to infinity" upon its creation and his death was going to collapse the Underworld. That includes the Mirror World, which harbors its own dimension and reality and thus has its own flow of time. Void Mundus is said to be a void, obviously, but also the Heart of the Demon World and the Nexus of its energies, which spans across countless dimensions. Meaning they can be multiverse levels with potentially incalculable speeds.

Weaknesses

Defeated by Dante in their third battle and twice as Nelo Angelo

Defeated and brainwashed by Mundus

Yamato can be broken by certain but unknown means

Overpowered and defeated by Nero after he had awoken his Devil Trigger

Defeated by Dante in a few of their fights while they are in the Underworld

Many of his abilities drains demonic energy

Vanessa: Of course, even a motivated person like Vergil isn't without his faults. He's got an insane ego which makes him overconfident and has led to him underestimating opponents. And he's lost to Mundus and Nero, the former whom turned Vergil into his slave. Though it's worth mentioning he was tired after fighting Dante so he's wasn't going all out. Yamato can be broken under the right circumstances such as when Mundus did it or when Urizen shattered Dante's Rebellion which is its equal.

Nakano: But most importantly, many of his abilities and Devil Trigger forms stem directly from how much demonic energy Vergil has in store. Less demonic energy means he'll have a hard time using his trump cards. Enough damage against someone his equal can overtax Vergil's regeneration, that's how Dante killed Vergil as Nelo Angelo and V, who is full on human, was constantly dying since he has very little demonic energy to try and heal himself. Devil Trigger and Sin Devil Trigger run on time limits with moves like Judgement Cut End instantly reverting Vergil to base.

Adam: Fortunately, Nero knocked some sense to him and though he still prefers his "might make right" philosophy, he has since reconciled with Dante and headed to the Underworld to sever the roots of the Qliphoth Tree once and for all, leaving the duty of protecting the Human World to his son. Underneath that cold and stern demeanor lies a father that cares for his child, but cross his path and you'll learn the hard why Vergil is one demon you should fear.

Vergil: Foolishness, Dante. Foolishness. Might controls everything, and without strength you cannot protect anything, let alone yourself.

Satsuki Kiryuin and Junketsu purify DEATH BATTLE

Satsuki Kiryuin and Junketsu purify DEATH BATTLE

(Kiryu G@ Ki Ll - Hiroyuki Sawano)

Vanessa: Millennia ago, an alien being known as the Primordial Life Fiber crash landed on Earth. From it sprung Life Fibers, parasitic beings resembling threads of clothing which infest planetary lifeforms and breed by devouring, using the electrical current of the creature's nervous system. However, because the host can't handle the strain of wearing a Life Fiber internally, they instead decided to cover the host externally. The Life Fibers primarily attached themselves to Homo sapiens since they possessed the most well developed brains at the time, and sped up their evolutionary process.

Nakano: Life Fibers remained dormant as centuries went by, and so it was the duty of the Kiryūin clan to keep the Primordial Life Fiber safe, with only the current elder of the family being allowed to witness its awakening. Enter Ragyō Kiryūin, previous head of the Kiryūin clan and contender for worst mother of the century. After awakening the Primordial Life Fiber from its slumber, she became power hungry, and plotted to take over the world using Life Fibers. She eventually met a man by the name of Sōichirō and married him, using his incredible scientific knowledge to conduct experiments on Life Fibers.

Adam: Soon enough, Ragyō decided to go further and even crueler with her experiments, wanting to fuse Life Fibers with living organisms. Her first subject? Her very own first born daughter. This was Satsuki Kiryūin. Fortunately for Satsuki, she was too old for the process to work. Unfortunately, Ragyō decided to use her second born child as a test subject right after she exited the womb. The child was deemed a failure still, and as a result was discarded by Ragyō. Sōichirō, realizing Ragyō's true nature, secretly plotted against his wife to rebel against her and all Life Fibers. Alongside Satsuki, Sōichirō would raise the baby whose death he faked for the next 5 years. Eventually, he set his plan into motion, but knew well it would most likely result in death.

Vanessa: As such, he told the young Satsuki the truth about Life Fibers, its research, her future wedding dress Junketsu, and her mother's true ambitions before leaving. A lot for a 5 year old to take in if that wasn't clear. Despite spending most of her life being raised by Ragyō, Satsuki took her father's words to heart and began setting the stage for her rebellion against her mother alongside Nonon Jakuzure, Ira Gamagōri, Hōka Inumuta and Uzu Sanageyama, whom Satsuki made her personal Elite Four and founded Honnōji Academy, becoming its student council president.

Nakano: Satsuki ruled over Honnōji and the surrounding neighborhoods owned by the school with an iron fist, distributing power-granting Goku Uniforms to Student Council members and club leaders so they could fight for their school in violent but managed environments. Her rule and respect went unquestioned and unchallenged until the unexpected arrival of Ryūko Matoi, a transfer student following a lead on the murderer of her father. Although proving insignificant at first, Ryūko managed to gain possession of a Kamui known as Senketsu, rising up the challenges and proving herself a potential hindrance to Satsuki's plans. As a result, Satsuki barged into the Kiryūin mansion and took Junketsu for herself, wearing it from then on to combat Ryūko and those who opposed her.

Vanessa: After several weeks of conflict and planning, Satsuki and the Elite Four organized the Great Culture and Sport Festival, a cover for Ragyō's plan to unleash Life Fibers and COVERS throughout the city. Seizing the opportunity she sought for her entire life, Satsuki literally backstabbed her mother and announced to the world her rebellion against Ragyō and REVOCS. Unfortunately, Ragyō proved too much for her, and she was promptly defeated. Not to mention the shock of Ryūko being her long lost little sister, which probably didn't help. In the end, Satsuki was stripped of Junketsu, captured, and tortured under Ragyō for over a month. However, the fangs of rebellion never wavered, and Satsuki eventually broke free from Ragyō's prison. When Ryūko was manipulated and turned mad by Ragyō, Satsuki had to do the unthinkable and wear Senketsu for a change. Despite losing their battle, Satsuki found the opening needed to help Ryūko break free and return to her normal self.

Adam: When all was said and done, before the final battle against Ragyō, Satsuki apologized for everything she did, and admitted that her methods were extreme and her actions villainous. She offered Ryūko the opportunity to punch her in the face to prove her sincerity, and, after a few failed attempts due to the overprotective Elite Four, Ryūko took her up on the offer. However, Ryūko couldn't bring herself to do it, and forgave Satsuki. Ultimately, the two teamed up to take down their evil mother.

Resistance to Mind Manipulation, Extreme Heat and Spatial Manipulation

Nakano: Satsuki has been trained at a young age and is proficient with a sword, capable of beating even the most seasoned fighters and is a master tactician, often devising plans within a plans to disguise her true motives until the absolute last second, striking her opponent when they least expect it. She can generate powerful air pressure from sheer aura farming and even fire air blasts with her swords and she somehow generates light from her back whenever she makes a dramatic entrance and it's legit light given how people are blinded. She wields a katana named Bakuzan, a weapon capable of slicing through Life Fibers which are explicitly stated to be stronger than steel and even Kamui, sentient clothes made by Life Fibers and thus even more durable.

Adam: Speaking of Kamui, Satsuki has her own named Junketsu meaning "purify" in Japanese. Wearing Junketsu is no walk in the park given how much power it wields and has a feral personality, but Satsuki manages to tame it through sheer willpower and, by using her own blood to synchronize, able to use Junketsu as a combat dress despite being very scantily clad. Seriously, how high was the author when he wrote this. While Ryuko had trouble using Senketsu's full power due to how embarrassing her appearance is, Satsui embraced it and thus could morph any part of Junketsu into a weapon.

Vanessa: Kamuis like Junketsu can absorb Life Fibers to become stronger and gain new abilities. Senpu grants flight at supersonic speeds, its upgraded Zankan protrudes spikes from Junketsu and can turn Satsuki in a buzzsaw is she spins. Then there's Junketsu's final form, Shinzui, which is comparable to Senketsu's Kisaragi. It also comes with a dual sided blade.

Feats

Became head of the Kiryūin conglomerate

Successfully recruited Nonon, Gamagōri, Sanageyama, and Inumuta to become her personal Elite Four

Founded Honnōji Academy

Successfully tamed and wore Junketsu

Took over all the schools in Japan

Aided in the battle against Ragyō

Survived an entire month or torture

Saved the world from the threat of Life Fibers alongside Ryūko

Defeated Ryūko, Gamagōri, Sanageyama, Ragyō, the Primordial Life Fiber

Vanessa: Satsuki more than deserved her position of being the head of the Kiryuin conglomerate. She became the council president of the Honnōji Academy, tamed Junketsu to unleash its full power with sheer willpower, and bested Uzu Sanageyama while she was young, even converting him into her Elite Four. She's battled her younger sister Ryuko multiple times, in which she easily manhandled her in their first bout. She's also endured a month of torture by her own mother's hands which, uh, yeah there's no surgacoating it, sexual harrassment. Okay that's just fucking low. Anyways, fighting Ryuko a lot means she would reasonably scale to he and Ryuko is a powerhouse.

Popup: Satsuki once used Senketsu to fight a mind controlled Ryuko who wore Junketsu. But because she and Senketsu don't match perfectly, their synchronization is not stable.

Nakano: Ryuko is fast enough to slice 214 tennis balls 5 times each in 0.0018 seconds, defeated said Elite Four and dispersed the Cocoon Sphere which amounts to 45.1 Yottatons of TNT. And both she and Satsuki would defeat Ragyo Shinra-Koketsu. That would be her best in the anime, but as we've said, we're including the Kill la Kill: IF game and that's where it gets crazy. The Primordial Life Fiber is insane, capable of absorbing Life Fibers across countless dimensions and absorbed Ragyo who herself has garnered a lot of it. In fact the dimension they're in is the result of just one thread and it's the same thing that created Junketsu, meaning Satsuki's Kamui harbors an entire universe.

Adam: Ryuko absorbed all the Life Fibers in Satsuki's dimension across space and time which puts her at 256.737 quadrillions times FTL. But given how the Primordial Life Fiber absorbed an innumerable amount of Life Fibers across millions of timelines, this can easily be highball at immeasurable speeds and putting the Primordial Life Fiber at multiversal in terms of power. Yet Satsuki has managed to overcome the Primordial.

Weaknesses

Requires blood consumption to be in sync with Junketsu

Underestimated both Ryuko and Ragyo. (has never actually being able to defeat either without help)

Despite being outwardly cold, is socially inept

Though her reasons were pure, Satsuki's methods made her appear to be a villain before her true agenda was revealed

Despite using Senketsu, was defeated by Junketsu Ryuko

Severing all the Life Fibers can deform Junketsu, leaving Satsuki vulnerable

Adam: That being said, Satsuki is far from perfect. While having no exploitable weakness by herself, she does require blood to stay synchronize with Junketsu and the more blood he drains, the weaker Satsuki becomes. So a prolonged fight can be fatal for her if she's not careful. And while she's never shown it, Ryuko can enter a Berserker form where she become too enraged that Senketsu lost control and could've easily died from too much blood loss. And Senketsu was burned upon atmospheric entry so it's likely Junketsu has the same weakness.

Vanessa: Though she bested Ryuko once, Satsuki never managed to beat her in their rematches without much help and was easily overpowered by Ragyo. And while Kamuis like Junketsu have more than one Life Fiber to stay intact, should all of them be severed, Junketsu will be deformed, leaving Satsuki defenseless and naked.

Nakano: But despite that, Satsuki was never truly evil. Her ultimate goal was to overthrow her mother and stop her destructive ambitions. It may have included manipulating her younger sister into being the defacto face of Satsuki's double-crossing methods, but it was to prevent global destruction after all. In the end, Satsuki's ambition was achieved, and she attended Rinne High School alongside her sister, finally able to live her life as a normal girl. But make no mistake, piss her off and you'll find out why her last name Kiryuin means "demon"!

Satsuki: Fear is freedom! Subjugation is liberation! Contradiction is truth! Those are the facts of this world! And you will all surrender to them, you pigs in human clothing!

Adam: All right, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.

Adam, Nakano and Vanessa: It's time..... for a DEATH BATTLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Honnoji Academy

(Masters of Monsters - Brandon Yates)

Vergil: How..... disappointing.

Vergil scoffed as he sheathed Yamato, looking extremely disappointed as the Dark Slayer stood over countless students wearing their Goku uniforms. A while ago he's heard rumors of a school where people can obtain power by wearing clothes that are sentient. He eager to test their strength since he wanted to have a rematch with Dante.

However, it was clear none of them could stand up to the Son of Sparda, even those who wore 3-star uniforms. Vergil was annoyed at how weak these people are and wasted his time. But as he turns and about to create a portal with Yamato.....

???: Hold it right there!

A burst of light flashes behind the Dark Slayer, catching his attention. Turning around while covering his eyes, he could see a female teenager standing over a pillar with a sword in hand and light shining around her. When it dies, Vergil could see her wearing a blue and white military-like uniform and as thick eyebrows. Satsuki Kiryuin, president of the Honnoji Academy, has arrived.

Vergil: Oh, and who might you be?

Satsuki: I am Satsuki Kiryuin, head of the Kiryuin conglomerate! And you, trespasser, shall answer for your crimes of harming my students!

Satsuki draws Bakuzan and pressed some devices on her sleeve, which allows blood to be feed to her Kamui Junketsu. A flash consumes her before revealing Satsuki and Junketsu in battle mode. Vergil raised an eyebrow in her questionable sense of clothing but could feel the power radiating from her outfit.

Smirking, Vergil faces the president and draws Yamato from its sheathe.

Vergil: Don't disappoint me like your students had.

Satsuki: Assuming you even live to see it.

FIGHT!

Both sword fighters dashed forward and Yamato clashes with Bakuzan, sparks flying as the two struggled to overpower the other. Both slashes with neither getting the upper hand before jumping back. Satsuki raises Bakuzan and fires several pressurized air blasts at Vergil, who dodges the projectiles easily.

The Dark Slayer responds by unleashing his own energy slash attack at the president. Satsuki raises her katana to parry it, but was caught off guard when Vergil teleports next to her and slashes her several times, making her grit her teeth as she jumps back to gain some distance, the wounds rapidly healing via Life Fibers.

Vergil: Impressive, most humans die after the first few cuts. But you're tougher than I thought.

Satsuki: Flattery will get you nowhere.

Satsuki dashes forward for an overhead slash but Vergil blocks it with Yamato and delivers a kick at sends Bakuzan flying upwards. The head of the Kiryuin conglomerate barely had time to react before Vergil, now armed with the Devil Arm Beowulf, starts pummeling her with kicks and punches before too sending her flying with a massive uppercut. In the air, Satsuki manages to retrieve Bakuzan before seeing Vergil coming towards her.

Realizing he's too strong to for her at her current form, Satsuki transform Junketsu into its Senpu Zankan state. Armed with two Bakuzans, Satsuki flies down and strikes Vergil, flying past the surprised half-demon as blood spills from his body. She then flies back and hacks into Vergil for several more times. Satsuki then delivers a final slash that sends Vergil through a wall.

Coughing up blood, Vergil sank to one knee as Satsuki approaches him.

Satsuki: You're finished. Take your death with dignity.

Vergil didn't answer, but unbeknownst to the Honnoji Academy's president, he had a smirk on his face. Then, blue demonic energy consumes Vergil as he taps into Devil Trigger. Power surges through the Dark Slayer as he stares at a shocked Satsuki.

Vergil: It's over when I say it's over.

Vergil unleashes Summoned Swords at Satsuki, who blocks them with her Bakuzans but screams as she was slashed from behind, courtesy of Doppleganger. She turns to clash blades with the Doppleganger but in doing so was kicked by the real Vergil who dons Beowulf once more. Satsuki was helpless as she was overwhelmed by her opponents. Any attacks she made is deflect while getting struck in the process and when she strikes back, they repeat the block and attack method. Satsuki grits her teeth as she was not going mocked by this man.

Satsuki: ENOUGH!!!!

A huge shockwave knocks Vergil off while dissipating the clone as the head of the Kiryuin conglomerate transforms once again. Her hair turns green with Junketsu gaining black colors as she activates Junketsu Shinzui. Vergil clicked his teeth in annoyance as he decided to end this. Vergil draws Yamato and performs Judgement Cut End, sheathing it as the slashes connects. He scoffs and gets up, feeling confident in his victory.

However, his body jerks forward as a blade green blade pierces his chest, catching him by surprise as he coughs blood. The perpetrator was Satsuki who survived her wounds being healed by Life Fibers.

Satsuki: I told you you will pay for laying a hands on my students!

She slams Vergil to the ground and drags him across the field. She raises her blade and fires intense air blasts that knocks Vergil into the air. With her dual-sided blade, Satsuki roars as she flies at the Dark Slayer, slashing him in all directions and causing blood to fly as he screams. A final flash from Bakuzan sends Vergil rolling across the ground. His wounds healing but taking a toll as his demonic energy is running out.

Satsuki flies down and grabs Vergil by the throat, sneering and aims Bakuzan at Vergil's heart.

Satsuki: Any last words, pig?

Coughing blood but remaining defiant, Vergil stares at Satsuki's with cold eyes. Before she knew it, she was blasted back by a huge shockwave from Vergil as he unveils his final trump card.

Vergil: This is power!

The Dark Slayer screams as he taps into Sin Devil Trigger, his ultimate transformation to date. Gripping Yamato, Vergil takes his iconic stance as Satsuki came about and did her own. Then both dash forward and send hundreds, if not thousands of slashes at each other. The ground beneath them craters deeper and deeper, their screams drowned by the sounds of their blades as neither gives in.

Any cuts or damage received they received were healed by demonic energy and Life Fibers, and the air gets hotter due to the friction. However, everything had a limit and each healing and attack thrown drains them, dwindling their combat capability and eventually one had to give in.

Satsuki grunts as she was being forced to step back while Vergil advances. Her Life Fibers were working overtime as she struggles to keep up. Her greatest asset now becomes a liability as Junketsu keep draining more and more blood to keep the synchronization going and there was only so much she can make. Vergil too was getting exhausted but he manages to keep his composure until he saw Satsuki make a sloppy move.

Vergil: I got you!

Vergil ducks under an overhead swing and prepares another attack. The president of the Honnoji Academy tries to make another counterattack, but was stabbed from behind by a Doppleganger, giving the Vergil the time to unleash Hell on Earth, creating a massive shockwave that greatly damages Satsuki and throws her into the air.

Vergil: You shall die!

With Yamato in hand, the Dark Slayer unleashes his second Judgement Cut End with all of his remaining strength against Satsuki, white slashes appearing around her as Vergil teleports behind her, kneeling as he slowly sheathes his katana.

In an instant, Satsuki is struck all at once by Vergil's ultimate attack. This time, however, her healing has reached its limit and can only scream in intense agony as she fatally sliced over a thousand times until Junketsu broke apart, leaving Satsuki naked with cuts all over her body. The head of the Kiryuin conglomerate is brought to her knees before falling to her side silent, her glossed eyes signal the life exiting her life.

Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger reaches it time limit and forces him to exit out of the form, making him stumble forward but manages to catch himself. He sighs in relief and adjusts his collar.

KO!

* Vergil creates a portal via Yamato and enters.

* The students and Elite Four gather around Satsuki, mourning the loss of their leader.

Results

Vanessa: Yeesh, I know we're starting the season in 2026 but that's more brutal than we planned.

Nakano: This is incredibly close. Both Vergil and Satsuki were surprisingly able to match each other in some ways than we initially thought.

Adam: Let's address 4 important categories that defines this matchup: strength, speed, abilities and transformations.

STRENGTH

Vanessa: Obviously Satsuki couldn't hold a handle against Vergil if we just stick to the anime. She may scale to the Ryuko breaking Ragyo's Cocoon Sphere ranging in the Yottatons, but Vergil has matched Dante who has killed the likes of Mundus and Argosax, who can create universes and even bested Void Mundus who harbors the entire Demon World in him. A more thorough analyzation shows all of them can be highballed to multiversal and Vergil being on equal footing to Dante means he can reach that level as well.....

Adam: But adding Kill la Kill: IF evened the odds for Satsuki. Ryuko and Satsuki defeated the Primordial Life Fiber, who was absorbing an insurmountable amount of Life Fibers across countless dimensions and just one thread is capable of creating a universe. This easily puts the Primordial in multiverse levels of power. Given it's so close, we have to call this a tie. Which brings us to speed.

SPEED

Adam: Again, KLK: IF made this a close one. Vergil scales to Dante defeating Mundus who can create universes that "spans to infinity" with little effort whereas Satsuki and Ryuko bested the Primordial Life Fiber that was collecting Life Fibers across millions of timelines that put both at immeasurable speeds.

Nakano: But if you want quantifiable calculations, Vergil does have a significant advantage. Ryuko has absorbed Life Fibers from Satsuki's dimension ranging in 256.737 quadrillions times FTL whereas Mundus creating a universe to fight Dante is a minimum 587 quadrillion times. Comparing them makes base form Vergil 2.3 times faster, but remember that Devil Triggers amplifies stats by 10 so adding that means it can be over 5.87 quintillion times FTL. At least 23,000 times faster than Satsuki.

Vanessa: Again, this depends on what you want to use. Low-end means Vergil is much faster. High-end puts them on equal footing. For our sake, we're making this a tie a second time. But when it comes to what they can bring to the table, Satsuki ultimately fell short.

ABILITIES

Nakano: First off, Junketsu does give Satsuki some buffs and resistances. Life Fibers can regenerate faster than they can be cut so any damage Vergil deals is instantly healed, fire intense air blasts as range attacks and uh, able to use light to possibly match the Devil Arm Beowulf which is said to emit "sacred light" with each punch or kick. Shockingly, Satsuki resisting the Primordial's power over space-time means that unless she's severely injured, she can easily tank Judgement Cut End at full health.

Adam: That being said, Vergil still had a few tricks up his sleeve. He can dispel Satsuki's air blasts with either Summoned Swords or Hell on Earth and his Dark Slayer style revolves around using teleportation and while both could fly, Satsuki had no answer to Vergil's forcefields or portals. Doppleganger alone completely negates the speed advantage when using high-ends as Satsuki noticeably struggles to fight two opponents of her level at the same time. So Vergil takes the edge in abilities.

Vanessa: Still, it's still anyone's guess as to who can win. Vergil and Satsuku can match each other in strength and speed and though Vergil had more versatility, it's still not enough to break the deadlock. It all comes down to their transformations and who can last long enough to deal the killing blow first.

TRANSFORMATIONS

Vanessa: Vergil and Satsuki both possess powerful transformations in the form of Devil Trigger and Junketsu which increases their stats as well as use their abilities from their base form or gain additional ones, and even tap into stronger variants like Sin Devil Trigger and Junketsu Shinzui respectively.

Adam: However, both have clear limits to how long they can use them. Vergil's Devil Trigger, Sin Devil Trigger and other abilities run on demonic energy whereas Satsuki needs blood in order to stay synchronize with Junketsu and for the Life Fibers' regeneration to kick in. At first glance you might think this would end with yet another tie with how they both have limitations.....

Nakano: But Satsuki unfortunately had the much bigger drawback because there's only so much blood a person can give before too much loss eventually kills them. The average female contains 5 liters of blood and losing 40% of that, about 2 liters, is considered fatal. Now yes, being anime an all, there's a possibility she has much more like when Ryuko lost control and went Berserker Mode. But there's still a clear limit on how much she can give and it was stated Ryuko would've died from blood loss if she wasn't reverted back.

Popup: Keep in mind that Junketsu is more feral than Senketsu and though Satsuki tamed Junketsu before, should she lose control like Ryuko did, even she would have a hard time controlling the Kamui if she goes in a similar Berserker form.

Adam: Not just that, but any damage Satsuki and Junketsu takes only sped up the time limit and therefore makes it difficult for them to maintain the form for very long. Now yes, Vergil's Devil Trigger only lasts half an hour with how much demonic energy reserves he has, with Sin Devil Trigger consuming almost twice the demonic energy and moves like Judgement Cut End instantly reverting him back.

Vanessa: However, the big difference is that not only does Vergil's forms multiply by a factor of 10, it has the boon of not harming Vergil like Junketsu does for Satsuki. Yes he needs demonic energy to heal or use his super forms and abilities, but Vergil can conserve his energy unless absolutely necessary. The moment Satsuki activates Junketsu, she's stuck between trying to finish the fight as soon possible but also needing to make sure she doesn't feed Junketsu too much blood lest she passes out or dies from blood loss.

Nakano: And remember that while she's really skilled, most of her abilities and notable feats stem from her synchronization wit Junketsu. If we stuck to using base Vergil with only Yamato at hand and base Satsuki with just Bakuzan, Vergil would easily decimate her in a fight.

Adam: Hell, Vergil can escape with his portals to try and gather more demonic energy or formulate a sneak attack. While Satsuki would be forced to search for Vergil while wasting blood to do so and be forced to deactivate him lest she risks blood loss. The moment Vergil catches Satsuki outside of Junketsu, she's as good as dead. Junketsu was good, but Vergil's Devil Trigger and Sin Devil Trigger's superior time limit and stat amplifications ultimately trumped the Kamui.

Nakano: Satsuki proved more than a match for Vergil in strength and speed, but the Dark Slayer's more versatile arsenal and superior transformations spelled the end for the head of the Kiryuin conglomerate.

Vanessa: Satsuki tried to Kill la Kill Vergil, but the Alpha and Omega made sure to Bury the Light.

Adam: The winner is Vergil.
