The Watch

Summary:

This is a gay AB/DL story.
Oliver Griffin seemed to have everything going for him, he had friends, was part of a fraternity, had a hot girlfriend, and was a rising star on the soccer team. All that began to change on his twentieth birthday when he received a mysterious gift from an unknown sender.

Chapter 1: Happy Birthday

Chapter Text

Oliver Griffin woke up to the sound of his alarm going off. He groaned and rolled over in bed, his hand reaching out to silence the obnoxious beeping. His eyes squinted open, and the first thing he saw was his roommate and best friend Jake holding a small birthday cake with one lit candle in it. The room was filled with a few frat brothers clapping and cheering. "Happy birthday, bro!" they all shouted in unison. Oliver couldn't help but smile despite the early hour.

It was his twentieth birthday, and the room was a typical college mess - clothes strewn everywhere, empty pizza boxes piled high on the floor, and a faint smell of stale beer lingering in the air. The cake was a simple chocolate affair from the local supermarket, but it was the thought that counted. Oliver sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, taking in the scene.

"Thanks guys but you couldn't have waited until I was dressed?" Oliver quipped, his smile growing wider as he took in the small gathering.

"Please like you would want to miss a chance to show off your abs," Jake retorted, nudging Oliver playfully with his shoulder. Oliver chuckled and took the cake, blowing out the candle with a quick puff. He took a slice and savored the sweet taste, the frosting sticking to the roof of his mouth.

After the brief celebration, the guys cleared out, leaving Oliver to get ready for the day. He had a soccer practice in the afternoon that he couldn't miss. As he picked up his phone to check the time, and noticed that his girlfriend Amy sent him a message early in the morning, "Happy Birthday, Oliver! Can't wait to see you today so you can unwrap your present." She attached a photo of her wearing new lingerie that left little to the imagination. His heart raced at the thought of what she had planned for him.

Oliver stood up stretching in just his boxers, his well-defined abs rippling with each movement. "Dude put your cock away." Jake laughed, pointing at the bulge in Oliver's underwear from the photo of Amy.

Oliver blushed, tossing a pillow at Jake. "Hey I have seen worse from you remember when I walked in on you with your Grindr hookup? I got flashed by someone's asshole!"

Jake snickered, tossing the pillow back. "Good times," he said, shaking his head. "But seriously, what's the plan for tonight?"

Oliver grabbed his phone and checked the time. "I've got practice at 3, so I'll head to Amy's after that to pick her up then head to the Cove around 7 with some drinks."

Jake nodded. "Sounds like a plan. What's the gift she talked about?"

"Nothing you would be interested in," Oliver replied with a smirk, slipping on a pair of jeans and a college t-shirt.

"Ew," Jake said, feigning disgust before he broke into laughter. "Just make sure you wrap it up, don't want any mini Ollies running around here."

Oliver rolled his eyes and finished getting dressed and grabbing his gym bag. The two of them headed downstairs of the frat house to grab some breakfast before Oliver had to leave for practice. The kitchen was a chaotic mess from the previous night's party, but they managed to scrounge up some cereal and milk.

"Hey Oliver," Hank called out as they entered the kitchen. He was a burly upperclassmen that played on the football team with Jake. "This was delivered for you this morning." He handed over a small, unassuming package with a card attached to it. Oliver's name was written neatly, and definitely didn't match Hank's handwriting.

Curious, Oliver took the package and opened the card. Inside was a simple note that read, "Happy Birthday to my baby boy." But it wasn't signed. He opened the package and found a sleek black watch with a leather band. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before, looking more like a high-tech gadget than a timepiece. The digital face displayed the date and time in glowing blue numbers.

"What is it?" Jake asked, peering over Oliver's shoulder as he studied the watch.

"A gift from my mom, I think," Oliver said, a hint of confusion in his voice. "But she's not really into techy stuff like this." He put the watch on and admired how it fit snugly on his wrist. It had a peculiar weight to it, like it was made of something more substantial than just metal and plastic.

"That's the latest smartwatch, the Athena 3000," Jake said, his eyes widening. "It's supposed to be like a Swiss Army knife for your wrist. It's got everything - GPS, heart rate monitor, a voice assistant, phone calls, texts, sleep tracking, speakers for music, and it's water proof. It's like having a mini super computer on you at all times."

Oliver's eyes lit up. "No way, that's pretty cool." He played with the watch's features, syncing it to his phone with ease. It was indeed a high-tech piece of equipment, and he couldn't believe his mom had chosen something so... modern. The watch beeped notifying him it was time for class having pulled his schedule from his phone. "Well, I guess this thing really does have everything." He chuckled.

"I think it even has an A.I. system, named Simon, that gives you recommendations on how to live a healthier, better life," Jake said, scrolling through the watch's manual on his phone. "It's pretty sick, man."

Oliver nodded, his mind racing with the possibilities. As they finished their breakfast, he couldn't help but keep glancing at the watch. Something just didn't feel right. His mom didn't even know how to send an email properly, he just didn't see her dropping hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars on a watch. The watch beeped again, reminding him that he was running late for his first class. He grabbed his bag and dashed out the door, the cool morning air hitting his face like a slap.

Oliver was tying up his soccer cleats in the locker room, the smell of sweat and muscle cream heavy in the air, when he looked over and saw Nathan, a freshman on the team, fumbling with his own laces. "Hey Nate," he began casually, "you're gay, right?" Nate's head snapped up, his eyes wide with surprise. The locker room was silent, the only sound being the distant echo of cleats on the polished floor as the other players made their way out to the field.

"I'm bi actually," Nathan corrected him, his voice a tad shaky as he tried to keep his cool in front of the older team members.

"Right, sorry but you like dudes?" Oliver said, his curiosity genuine rather than malicious.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" Nathan replied, his voice growing a little stronger.

"So my best friend is gay and single so I was thinking..." Oliver began, his voice trailing off as he searched for the right words.

"No, I'm not interested in dating you loser friend," Nathan said, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

"Look he is not a loser, he is just a bit...unlucky in the relationship department," Oliver said, his cheeks flushing a deep shade of red. "I was just thinking that you could come hangout with us tonight to see if you hit it off."

"Sorry I'm just not into a blind date," Nathan said with a chuckle, tying his laces in a swift motion before standing up.

"Come on, just look at a picture of him before you say no," Oliver said, pulling out his phone and showing a picture of Jake to Nathan.

Nathan took the phone and studied the image, his gaze lingering on Jake's toned body and charming smile. "Okay, he's not bad-looking," he admitted, handing the phone back.

"Great!" Oliver said, trying to hide his excitement. "So you're in?"

"I'll think about it," Nathan said, a playful smirk playing on his lips as he picked up his gear. "But no promises."

"Well we are heading out to the Cove tonight for my birthday," Oliver continued, "if you're interested you should come."

Nathan raised an eyebrow, the mention of the cove piquing his interest. "The Cove?"

"Yeah, it's a cool spot. It's a bit of a hike, but the view is worth it. It's like our own private beach party without the crowds," Oliver said, trying to sell the idea.

Nathan considered it for a moment, his curiosity about this mysterious cove overcoming his reluctance. "Alright, I'll come but you're friends better not be an asshole."

"Jake? No way, he's a sweetheart," Oliver said, slapping his back. "You guys will get along great."

They walked out to the field, the sun blazing down on them as they began warming up. The watch on Oliver's wrist beeped again, prompting him to do some stretches and reminding him to hydrate. It was strange, but he couldn't deny the comfort it brought, almost like having a personal coach with him at all times.

---

Oliver's heart skipped a beat as he approached Amy's apartment. His hand hovered over the doorbell before he decided on a more personal approach. He gently rapped his knuckles against the wood, and a moment later, the door swung open. Amy's emerald eyes sparkled with excitement, and she greeted him with a warm, enthusiastic hug. Her soft, sweet perfume filled his nostrils, and he couldn't help but bury his face in her neck, inhaling deeply.

"Happy Birthday," she murmured into his ear, her breath sending shivers down his spine. Her arms tightened around him, and before he knew it, her lips were on his, her tongue slipping past his to tangle with his own. The kiss grew more passionate, and Oliver felt himself getting lost in the moment, the taste of her mouth intoxicating and familiar. He returned her affection eagerly, his hands roaming over her body, feeling the heat radiating from her skin.

When they finally pulled apart, both of them were panting, their faces flushed with desire. "Come in," she said, her voice low and seductive. Oliver stepped inside, his eyes sweeping the room. It was immaculately clean and decorated with a minimalist flair that suited Amy's personality perfectly. The walls were adorned with posters of famous art pieces and a few of her own sketches, showcasing her artistic talent. The living room had been transformed into a romantic setting with candles flickering on the coffee table, casting a warm glow throughout the space.

"I figured we could have a little birthday celebration before your party tonight," Amy said, her voice a purr as she led him through the dimly lit apartment. The walls of the hallway were lined with more candles, creating a soft, intimate ambiance.

Oliver's heart raced as they entered her bedroom. The room smelled faintly of vanilla, and the bed was covered in rose petals. A bottle of champagne chilled in an ice bucket next to a platter of chocolate-covered strawberries. She pushed him gently onto the bed, her hands on his chest, her eyes never leaving his. "But first, I have your real present," she whispered, her voice a seductive whisper.

She slipped off her dress, revealing the matching lingerie from the morning's photo, her curves tantalizing and inviting. Oliver felt his body respond immediately, his blood rushing to his groin. He leaned back into the kiss, his hands sliding up her thighs and under the silky material of her underwear. The warmth of her skin against his fingertips made him groan with need.

"Heart rate elevated." The watch beeped, interrupting the moment. Oliver chuckled and looked down at it, seeing the message displayed on the screen.

"What was that?" Amy asked, her eyes darting to the watch on Oliver's wrist.

Oliver grinned, his cheeks still flushed from the kiss. "It's just a little feature from my new watch," he said, tapping the side of the device. "It's like a health tracker or something."

Amy giggled and leaned in for another kiss, her hand sliding down to cup him through his jeans. "Well, if it tells you to take off your clothes and make love to me, I'd say it's pretty smart," she murmured, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Oliver laughed and pulled her closer, "I don't think it can do that," he murmured against her lips, his hands moving to the clasp of her bra. "But what it can do is this. Simon play romantic music," he said to the watch.

The room was instantly filled with the sweet melody of a violin, serenading them. Amy's eyes widened, "Simon?"

Oliver chuckled, "It's the watch's AI. He's pretty helpful." He leaned in for another kiss, his hands sliding up to cradle her face as he deepened the connection. Their tongues danced together in a passionate tango, each stroke sending a jolt of electricity through his body. The music played softly in the background, setting the mood as they undressed each other with eager hands.

---

"What are you waiting for?" Jake asked Oliver from the back seat of the car. His voice held a hint of excitement and impatience as he watched his friend fidget with the keys in the ignition.

"Relax, we have plenty of time," Oliver replied, his gaze lingering on the dashboard clock. It was already 7 PM, and the party was supposed to start in half an hour.

"Yeah it's not like they are going to start the party without him," Amy added, her voice teasing as she leaned over the center console to give Oliver a peck on the cheek.

"Besides I'm waiting for someone else to join us," Oliver said, his voice filled with a hint of mischief.

Jake's eyes widened in surprise, and he leaned in closer. "Who?"

"Let's just say I got you a little present," Oliver said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "He should be here any minute."

Jake raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "He? Ollie you didn't."

Oliver winked at him in the rearview mirror. "What? You have been single since the start of the school year. It's time to get you out there," he said, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

"But I don't do blind dates," Jake protested, his voice filled with skepticism. "And I'm fine with being single, really."

Oliver smirked, his hand hovering over the gear stick. "It's not a blind date, per se," he said, his eyes meeting Jake's in the mirror. "It's more like... an opportunity to make a new friend."

Before Jake could respond there was a knock on the window. They all turned to see the silhouette of a figure standing outside, backlit by the fading sun. The door opened, and in slid the mysterious guest - a young man with dark hair and piercing eyes. "Hi, I'm Nathan," he said with a shy smile. Jake's eyes widened in surprise, and Amy looked amused. "But everyone calls me Nate," he added.

"You made it," Oliver said, his voice filled with excitement. "This is my girlfriend Amy and my best friend—"

"I'm Jake," Jake said interrupting Oliver, extending his hand to shake Nate's with a broad smile and a slight blush creeping up his neck. Oliver couldn't help but smile seeing his friend blushing like a school girl.

Nate took Jake's hand, his grip firm and friendly. "Nice to meet you," he said, his voice smooth like velvet. Oliver noticed the way Jake's eyes lingered on Nate's for a second too long before pulling away.

"Okay let's get this show on the road," Oliver said, finally turning the key and revving the engine to life. The car lurched forward as he shifted gears, the sound of the music from the stereo filling the cabin.

---

The group walked up to the Cove, after parking Oliver's car they were walking for about ten minutes. The sight of the roaring bonfire in the distance sent waves of anticipation through them all. The crackling flames danced in the night, casting a warm glow that reflected off the surrounding rocks and waves. Several of Oliver's frat brothers had already arrived and were busy setting up a table laden with drinks and snacks.

"Wow, you weren't kidding," Nate said, his eyes wide with excitement. "This place is amazing."

"Yeah, we discovered it last semester," Oliver said proudly as they climbed out of the car. The sound of laughter and music grew louder as they approached the bonfire. The flames licked at the night sky, sending embers fluttering like fireflies into the darkness. The smell of roasting marshmallows and sizzling hot dogs filled the air, mixing with the salty scent of the ocean.

The group of friends gathered around the fire, passing around a bottle of whiskey and sharing stories of past conquests and future ambitions. Oliver couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as he watched the flames flicker across the faces of his frat brothers and the way they all looked to him for approval. He felt like the king of the world, especially with the gorgeous Amy on his arm.

"Okay everyone let's not forget why we are here," Jake says his arm was around Nathan's waist, pulling him closer, "It's Oliver's birthday! Cheers to the birthday boy!"

The group of them raised their plastic cups filled with a mix of cheap beer and the whiskey they had brought. The clinking of the plastic resonated in the night air as they took a drink, the firelight glinting off their happy faces. The party was in full swing, the music grew louder and the laughter more boisterous as the night went on.

Oliver couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. He had everything a guy could want: a beautiful girlfriend, amazing friends, and a night filled with fun and debauchery. As he leaned back into the warmth of the bonfire, watching the flames dance.

---

Oliver woke up the next morning to the sound of his frat house coming alive around him. His head felt like it was in a vice, and his mouth tasted like a dumpster fire had been lit inside it. He groaned and rolled over, squinting against the harsh sunlight that streamed through the blinds. He couldn't remember much of the night before, just snippets of conversations and laughter, and the warmth of the bonfire.

He sat up slowly but soon realized he had wet the bed. Panic shot through him as he looked around, his mind racing with the memories of last night's events. The room was a wreck - clothes scattered everywhere, the smell of urine strong and unmistakable. He quickly got up, his hangover forgotten for the moment his wet boxers sticking to his legs.

"Oh, my god," he murmured to himself, face flushing with embarrassment. He had never wet the bed since he was a kid, and the last thing he needed was for his frat brothers to catch wind of this.

"Heart rate elevated," the watch on his wrist beeped again, breaking the silence of his mortification. Oliver looked down at it with a mix of annoyance and bewilderment. 'Why would it be tracking his heart rate now?' He wondered before noticing he had an erection, which was definitely not normal for someone in his current state.

He quickly peeled off his wet boxers, his erection slapping against his stomach, he tossed his boxers on his bed before grabbing a clean pair from his drawer. He then grabbed his sheet and blankets taking them to the laundry room trying to avoid anyone seeing him. The house was still mostly quiet except for a few stragglers from the night before.

Oliver's mind raced with confusion as he stuffed his bedding into the washing machine. He didn't recall having any wet dreams last night, and the thought of anyone finding out about this would be beyond embarrassing. He set the machine to the quickest cycle and hoped that the smell of soap and fabric softener would overpower the stench.

As he returned to his room, he noticed the watch was still beeping insistently. He glanced down and saw a new message from an unknown number: "Good morning baby boy did you like your birthday gift?" Oliver's stomach dropped. The watch was definitely not from his mom.
