Chapter Text

Macaque woke up from his sleep, hearing the sound of the rooster crow nearby. He sat up from his bed, his eyes still droopy, trying to look out from his window. It was still dark, yet the roosters from his front and backyard kept crowing. That was his sign that it was around 5am. He took a deep breath and got out of bed.

Macaque had lived in this small farm life, living comfortably with his parents and his little baby twin sisters. Taking care of animals, herding cows and sheep, chopping wood, cropping corn and trees. Life seemed comfortable at first, wake up, eat, work, next eat, then work again, eat again and finally rest.

But realizing, it was the same pattern and work over and over again, a feeling crept over him. A desire. He was already 20, a few companions that he used to talk, always dreamt of going to another place. They eventually went, one after another, never coming back to greet their parents nor him. Even though there was no answer from them, he knew that their lives were just as busy as the farmlife.

Months and months passed by, Macaque had worked hard to earn a lot of money, he searched for many good cities to live in, planning on what month he'd have to leave. At first, Macaque had planned to use all of his money for the house and the expenses, but his father had kindly paid for everything.

Macaque had tried to deny the offer but his father kept persuading to just let him help him for the last time. After going back and forth for over a few months, Macaque eventually gave in.

It was a bit surprising for Macaque to know that his father somehow had paid for everything, he knew that his father was wealthy and kept to himself. Yet despite with his riches, his last decision was to live a hard working rural life with his wife. When Macaque had asked about his father about his past or why not just use the money to live off somewhere comfortable and quiet, he'd just laugh and shrug it off, telling him that money is earned by hard work and sacrifice.

Hearing his words, the feeling in his chest got stronger.

And so Macaque planned everything out, he found the city where he wanted to be at, with the help of his father, he bought a house, he already had electricity and water running there, his clothes and everything he wanted was already there and finally, today was the day that he was going to move out.

...

Macaque had just finished eating his breakfast, washing his plate and cup until he heard a loud raspy yawn at the kitchen, it was his father. Macaque's father was truly similar to Macaque in both physical and mentally. They both looked alike with the same hair color, red face mask, youthful look, the same different colored eyes they shared and of course, their Alpha blood. He truly was the perfect alpha, his strength had surpassed many strong people that he had met, his great looks and sweet demeanor had won over many hearts.

In personality, they were both quiet, hardworking, easy going, both of them were capable of looking stern and cold hearted but having such good hearts, they both were calm and friendly to everyone.

"Sorry for waking up late, I guess the cubs knew that you'd be leavin' and cried all night." Macaque's father let out another yawn before taking a carton of eggs out the fridge. "Your mother is brushing her teeth so I'm gonna prepare some eggs for us, if you still have time, go and feed the chickens." Macaque then nodded, his tail flickered a few times in delight, the last thing he wanted to do in the farm was to say farewell to the farm animals before he left.

Quickly leaving his plate and cup to dry on a dish rack, he grabbed a large plastic bowl and towards his chicken pen with meal worms and corn.

*3 hours later*

"So, how long do you think you'll be living at the city before coming back?" Macaque's mother asked, turning her head back around to get an answer from her son.

Macaque's mother was truly a beautiful woman, moreover like a goddess. Because she was an omega, she had such soft features.

Her bronze/golden skin, glowing everytime the sun hit her, light and long silver curly hair, every time she moved, her hair moved like the tide in the seas, bouncing back into a curl and gleaming so beautifully as if there was glitter. Her eyes were like quartzs, shining so bright and so white, making it stand out with her dazzling silver hair. Every stone monkey had its own face mask, Macaque's mother having a almost pink yet reddish mask, it was heart shaped but at the end where both her eyelashes were, had a sharp line that made it look like she was wearing pink eyeliner.

Her personality was also just as beautiful, kind hearted, calm, honest, quick witted, stern, alert, loving, and truly loyal to her man. The first time that they met was because Macaque's father had saved her from a group of Alphas trying to surpress her scent with theirs. Making her vulnerable and sick from the smell. But luckily Macaque's father, had wrestled and fought each of them before turning them in and that was their love story.

(I just want to point out that the stronger Alpha pheromones are even, it will affect those who are half beta/half omega or half Alpha/half omega (it's for those who have died but had been revived again. They'll also sometimes will have to have their weakest ABO [if they were an omega, they'd have a lucky chance for a better ABO.] Genes, blood types, powers, creatures and survival are important in this story.)

Macaque vaguely rolled his eyes before looking out the window, "you don't have to keep asking that question, I guess future me will decide that." His voice sounded unsure, he knew that living alone and somewhere he didn't recognize would be difficult.

His dark long fur swayed in the wind, back at his homeland were trees and vegetation everytime you looked around, so green and lively with animals eating and playing around. Though, just looking out the window he was met with man made structures, buildings, and no trees. He rested his head on the back seat, hand by the window, feeling the cool and swift air flowing into his dark fur. Macaque closed his eyes and let the heat from the sun slowly bathe him.

But after a long moment of silence, a small cry broke out. The cry made Macaque opened his eyelids and turn his head around. Beside him was two baby seats, the nearest one let out a yawn and looked towards Macaque. Her small hands reached out, motioning as if she wanted to be carried out. "No no no, Yinhua. Until when we get out of the car." Macaque chuckled as he stroked her silver hair. She was the last and the smallest from her sister, Yuelan

(Macaque is Chinese so I had to make his sister's name also Chinese Hua- flower Yin- Silver. )

After bribing the baby to fall asleep again for over a minute, Macaque sighed and was about to position himself back to the window. Though a voice rung out.

"Do you every think that you'll be able to find someone in the city to raise my grandchildren?"

Macaque froze upon hearing that question coming from his father.

What kind of question was that? Could he really do such a thing and have his own child? Yea no. He didn't even know anyone from the city.

Before he could even argue, Macaque's mother boomed out with laughter, she laughed to the point where her long white fangs came to view, "Hahaha!! Are you serious honey? I-I think it's a little to early to answer that! Haha, ohhh my goodness..." She slapped his back, before her laughs died down for a mintue, she then sat into her seat properly and adjusted her front view mirror to look at Macaque with a soft gaze and tone,"Mac, I know what you dad said was kinda of all of a sudden, but know that you have to be careful out there and..." Her once calm stare quickly scrunched up into a death stare, her fangs snared as she talked, "believe me when I tell you that if you fuck around with other people or causing trouble, just know that I'll snap your tail in half and drag you into my home working like a mutt day and night!!"

Both males just widened their eyes with absolute terrified expressions, a lot of people think that whenever mothers say these kind of threats, they don't actually mean it, but they both knew what she said was actually a real threat. A few times Macaque had to learn that she wasn't messing around.

This one time that he turned 14, he was always told to never climb the apple, pear, orange, and peach trees or else his mother would force him to plant an acre of those fruits in a different land. At that time, Macaque had lost a dare to his friends and they all had the idea to hang around at his fruit trees, not taking his mother's words so seriously, they decided to hang around whilst the fruits were beginning to grow.

Though, the next day, he woke up to his father and mother arguing outside. Quickly brushing his teeth and changing, he went outside to see both of their parents fur bristled up at the spot where their fruit trees were. Macaque took one gaze at the trees before gasping in shock, the tree skin were suddenly much darker than its original color, all the leaves had fallen off the tree and looked plain dead as if all the trees was withering away. His parents had heard his gasped and questioned him. Macaque lowered his ears and calmy explained what happened the day before.

Let's just say, he had a harsh scolding and as punishment, he and all of his friends who hung around that day, worked all month to plant new trees at the one acre of land.

Hearing his mother's word, he didn't hesitate to obey and agree. After a few mintues of silence had passed, familiar buildings appeared in front of him. He was almost home. There were new types of cars he had never seen before, some were SUV's, some cars had no roof, a lot of them looked fancy and expensive. There weren't a lot humans around but more creatures he'd yet to see. Seeing some creatures tall, short, wide, and thin, he mostly saw the more carnivorous animals.

It really did matter on what type of species and animal you were. The more taller, stronger, magical, powerful, rarer and the more higher status in wealth and blood type you were, had the most respect and fear among all the creatures in the city.

Macaque was a Stone Monkey, he was more stronger, better, quicker and taller than the average monkey, especially with the help of being an Alpha. He also had magic, but it was weak. His parents had told him, when he was just cub, his powers were significantly high, how he could move objects around whenever he felt upset or excited. Though one day when his father took care of him, he had a high fever, releasing uncontrollable magic before being taken to the hospital. There, the doctors told his parents that he had almost lost all magic
due to the high fever and that recovery for magic would take two decades before it would start working again.

But thank the gods he was a stone monkey, if he was just a regular monkey, then all of his powers wouldn't have returned. Though, he didn't even know if his species was rare or not, he hadn't seen any stone monkey's where he lived, even his parents hadn't known if there were any here.

After driving through couple of blocks off, they finally made it to Macaque's house. The house was a dark ebony color with a slight hint of purple, even though it was a one story house, it was large and wide. Heading inside, the bluish grey walls were made with tough cement which was smoothed out. In front of him, he was met with the furniture and TV on his right, if you go at the end of the corner where the TV was there were two extra rooms, one bathroom and one room. While on the left was a hallway containing two master bedrooms and a bathroom.

At the opposite direction was the back door and the kitchen. The kitchen had nice white marble as the kitchen counter. The drawers and cabinets were made out of wood that had a soft color matching with the marble.

Gossy dark wooden tiles that were placed as flooring matched with the dark furniture he had. Lightening the place up, white picture frames were placed up with photos of his family and animals in a wooden cabinet several feet in front of his door. Next to the picture frames were two pot of small plants that had a meaning.

One of them was a plum tree while the other was a peach tree, it had sprouted the same day that Macaque's sisters were born. During that time Macaque was still planning to move out and planted a few plum and peach seeds into the both pots, never expecting to sporut the same day as his twin sister's new arrival to the world. Personally, he wasn't a fan of eating fruits but blending them into a blender and making fruit drinks. Out of all luck, he ended up buying his home with a large peach tree in his backyard.

"Are you thinkin' about planting those right now?" Macaque's father pulled him closer to his shoulder. "I'll get the shovel and-" Macaque quickly stopped him and shook his head, "No no no, I can do this by myself now," he politely got out of his father's grasped and took a look at the boxes around him, "I'll do that later, right now I really do need to unload everything and start organizing."

His mother, who had been in a room close to them, walked out with her two cubs on both of her shoulders, "why don't we help organize then? It's going to take at least a day or two to unpack everything." Macaque knew what she said what true and grabbing a box close to him, with one claw, he ripped out the tape on top, "sure, but just don't be close to dust 'cause of the cubs."

....

....

It was already 5 pm, Macaque was all alone, 4 hours ago, his parents had wanted to stay a bit more longer and explore more of the city until when his mother suddenly brought up to her husband if he had told the neighbors to feed the animals, but only a gasp came out of his father and a hard hit from his wife. As they were about to leave, Macaque quickly embraced his parents into a tight hug. His heart ache slight by their warmth, nuzzling in between their long fur made his nose tickle. He always had a thing for hugs, when sleeping, no matter the object he had next to him, he embraced tightly on it.

Though the hug had to come to an end, slowly, his grip had loosen and he stood there, gazing at his parents and sisters for the last time saying a final goodbye.

Macaque sighed, staring upon the sunset while walking down a smooth concrete path, the
park was first place that he wanted to take a walk and visit from. Pretty lights lit from the trees, just like a Christmas tree. This park that he was on was well known for its beautiful plants and its statues.

Upon walking, he saw many statues like the mayor of the city, creatures and pets that sacrificed themselves over others. Lastly, was the heroes and gods in China.

He was close to finally reaching in end to the small walk, looking up at the sky, Macaque saw a beautiful view, the orange and blue colors mixed together into the sky, purple clouds flowing through the air creating a complex but stunning scene

While staring off into the sunset, he heard a small meow behind him. Macaque turned around just to see a small black cat playing around with a butterfly at a very close distance. The small cat turned to look at him, its green eyes gazing at Macaque, meowing to him at a few times before siding next to him. Macaque had really found it strange, he leaned next to the cat, as he was just about to pet it, the cat quickly ran off to a different path, it looked back and kept meowing at him as if signaling for Macaque to come, having a strange feeling, Macaque reluctantly followed.

It was a different path of the park that Macaque had not seen, the whole area around him was slowly getting covered in bushes and thick trees, the small black kitten kept guiding him to where it was leading him whilst looking back at him if he was still following. Though, thinking that this unknown trail would forever keep on going, Macaque had doubts to even following this kitten.

But just as he was thinking about it, the cat stopped and leaped out on the far left. The sudden action left Macaque into a sudden fright before sprinting where the cat was but then he immediately stopped in his tracks.

A large clean statue of a monkey was in front of him. Its frozen gaze was staring upon the sky with a vague grin, a small cap with two long ribbons that reached the end of his shoulder, almost all of his clothes were armor except for cloak that resembled as a cape was tied to his neck, his left arm was holding a large staff, both tips had cloud like patterns

Below the statue was a description of the monkey, 'The Great Sage Of Heaven.'

Who knew that a statue was put here at a random off sided path? But despite it being off trail, Macaque had noticed that it had no vines, dirt, or even dust on the statue as if it had been
cleaned earlier. Taking a closer look at the statue, he noticed underneath the description, there were two Chinese words that had been broken off the hard material as if someone smashed the two words multiple times with a great amount of force.

The cat nuzzled where the hero's shoe was, purring and meowing, did the cat really thought that this was him?

Macaque shook his head, glancing once more before turning around. Though, out of nowhere, in front of him, something had it's head raised but when it noticed that Macaque had turned around, it quickly hid and fled.

Macaque furrowed his eyebrows, he didn't get a quick look at what was watching him. "Who was that?" He muttered to himself before taking a look back at the kitten. They both had disappeared.

...

...

As the creature escaped far away, running for long time before heading into a dark forest that covered everything around him. He turned to the destination where his boss had wanted to meet him, after turning a few corners he finally met him. "Master." He greeted him as he faced him.

He was kneeling beside a tree, his whole body was covered by the shade. His dark eyes were locked in with a small black kitten that he was petting, his tail kept flickering around as if he was impatient. "So?" His gaze turned to look at the creature, his long tail swayed gently, "Is it really him?" The creature lowered his head and nodded, "The Six Eared Macaque. Yes it's him." The creature's face turned to look at the boss's expression and it sent shivers down to his spine, the neutral lips then turned into a curved, revealing his sharp teeth and bright eyes. The creature knew with that kind of expression, a plan was about to be made from his boss.

"Let's see if you're good enough for my game."

Notes:
