Valentines day is always meant for Isagi Yoichi is just another day of seeing happy couples and gag at that. Can you blame her? She never received any chocolate or love confessions.
Waking up earlier than needed Isagi stretched with a yawn, her sleepy eyes fell on a still sleeping person.
Itoshi Rin. The reason that this Valentine's Day is special.
Long dark green hair that beautifully cascaded down her shoulder, fluttering long eyelashes that slightly fluttered casting a shadow on her cheeks, couple of moles that Isagi loved to kiss, and last but not least plumpy rosy lips that lightly pouted making her look adorable.
Yoichi ran her fingers through Rin’s hair and smiled. Getting up and quickly taking a shower, Isagi placed herself into the kitchen to make breakfast. Usually it's Rin who cooks breakfast but today is a special occasion, Isagi even turned off every alarm on Rin’s phone to let her sleep longer.
Isagi decorated their living space with a gorgeous bouquet of lilies. She spent quite some time picking what flowers she should get for Rin since roses are quite basic (and because Kaiser got roses for Ness). A couple of heart balloons here and there and cute candles with hearts on them.
She heard soft footsteps behind herself when she flipped the final pancake. A pair of arms wrapped around her.
“Why didn't you wake me up?” Rin hugged Isagi and buried her face into her neck. Isagi set her spatula aside and turned the stove off, hugging Rin back.
“I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed, but someone still decided to wake up.” Yoichi smiled, rubbing her head against Rin’s. “Go fresh up and I’ll make you coffee.”
Rin lazily hummed and took a step back, she stretched with little yawn, Isagi watched her girlfriend stretch and blushed because it's a sight to see. Rin is wearing only one of Isagi’s shirts that slipped down her shoulder since Yoichi is broader than Rin, but she's taller than her so Isagi can see her underwear.
“What are you looking at?” Rin placed her finger under Isagi’s chin moving her head up to meet her eyes.
“You look sexy.” Yoichi smiled and placed her hands on Rin’s hips drawing circles with her thumbs.
Rin rolled her eyes and leaned down to get a little kiss on a cheek from Yoichi. She turned her head to kiss Isagi’s lips, but the blue haired girl stopped her.
“Nuh-uh, go fresh up first.” And with a rumble Rin walked away while Isagi stared at her ass.
She came back shortly after with her lashes still slightly wet, Rin sat down as Isagi placed her mug of coffee in front of her.
“What's the plan for today?” Rin raised a brow taking a sip of her morning coffee.
“What plan?” Youchi smirked, raising a brow back while placing a plate of pancakes in front of the other.
“You made me skip my training routine because yesterday you said “Don't plan anything, I have a surprise”” Rin frowned, her and Yoichi are dating for a year now, but somehow the blue haired girl still manages to surprise her.
“Oh please, you never stop training even after joining ReAI.” Isagi rolled her eyes. “I want you to pick a nice gorgeous outfit because we are going out this evening.” She smirked, pressing a kiss to Rin’s temple.
After everything is eaten and washed, Isagi paced around their bedroom looking troubled, Rin walked out from the bathroom in her robe and while drying her hair glanced at her girlfriend.
“Yoichi what are you doing?” She sat down on the bed.
“Thinking.”
“About what?” Rin tilted her head, some of her hair fell onto her eyes.
“I don't know what to wear.” Yoichi stopped and looked at Rin with a pout. “I want to look nice next to you.”
“Stop saying that shit, you know you look nice next to me.” Rin rolled her eyes.
“I just can't pick between a suit and a dress, I mean yea I look good in a suit, but what if I wear a dress? Altho with all my muscles I’ll look strange in a dress.” The blue haired girl started thinking aloud. Rin stood up and hugged Isagi, giving her cheek a kiss.
“You’ll look nice in anything, stop worrying so much.”
“I’ll decide what to wear only if you say what you’ll wear.” Isagi wrapped her arms around Rin’s waist and pulled her closer.
“I already told you that I’ll wear a blue dress.” Rin lightly smacked Isagi’s hands away because they wanted to pull her robe open.
“Okay, mhm, got it.” Isagi kissed Rin’s lips and walked to the bathroom.
Her tailored suit fitted her perfectly, a blue corset that brought out her waist, trousers with a matching jacket, her button up was unbuttoned on the top, a bit of simple makeup just some eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick. Isagi proudly looked at herself in the mirror, she really looked like a snack.
“Rin are you ready?” She called for her girlfriend, but her jaw literally fell open when she turned to look at her.
A long dark blue sleeveless dress that hastV neckline with straps going up around her neck, the back is completely bare aside from thin chains with pearls on them creating a gorgeous pattern, a slit going up to her mid thigh showing off strong legs in black Christian Louboutin heels. Rin finished applying her wine red lipstick and looked at Yoichi with even sharper eyes because she put on eyeliner and black smudged eyeshadow look. She raised a brow seeing Isagi’s reaction.
“I’m wet- WHAT?-”
As Rin walked closer to Isagi her heels clacked in the silent room, she smirked watching Yoichi’s face getting redder and redder as she got closer.
“My eyes are up here.” She pointed out catching Isagi red handed for staring at her chest.
“Well, can you give me at least a bit of slack? I have a professional athlete as a girlfriend, I mean look at those curves of your hips and those thighs… oh those thighs…” Isagi reached her hand out, sliding her fingers up, getting a smack from Rin.
“You told me we have a reservation.” She pointed out and Yoichi smiled.
“We actually do, if you're ready let's go.” She walked past Rin to grab her car keys and Rin’s coat to help her put it on.
The drive was pretty much calm, soft music in the background over two girls chatter, Isagi mostly talked about how she and Kaiser hanged out and how tired she was after countless of shops she dragged her in, Rin nodded along and told her about how she and Sae went to oceanarium and they actually had pretty good bonding time together.
She parked the car and quickly got out to open the door for Rin and give her a hand to help her get up from the car, Rin took the hand and intertwined their fingers walking to the entrance of a fancy looking restaurant.
Yoichi immediately helped Rin take off her coat and lead the way with a possessive hand on Rin’s lower back, she’s sure that everyone is staring since Rin decided to put her hair up in a low bun completely showing the back of the dress. Isagi pulled a stool for her letter, her girlfriend sat and kissed her shoulder blade leaving lipstick behind, but Rin doesn't need to know that.
A waitress walked up to them and they placed their orders down, Isagi smiled at Rin and took her hand.
“Do you like it here?” She asked a bit nervously. “I saw it not so long ago, and got us a table near the big window so we can watch the sea sunset. Also today is a jazz concert, pretty sure around the same time as the sun is supposed to set.” Yoichi looked out the big window watching sea waves hit the rocks. A calm atmosphere around them really makes it feel like there's only two of them in the entire world.
Rin smiled slightly seeing how nervous Yoichi was about it all, she smiled and rubbed her thumb over her palm.
“I love it.” She smiled looking into a sea she will drown, but unlike Isagi's look out the window, Rin is looking into her eyes, the eyes she loves more than anything.
A slow jazz melody filled their evening, Yoichi guided Rin with her hands on her waist into a slow dance. They are so close together, both looking into eachothers eyes with love.
“I haven't actually gifted you a gift.” Isagi murmured, leaning to brush her nose against Rin’s.
“Really?” She raised a brow in return. “But I thought you were my gift.” Yoichi melted into a big smile hearing those words.
“Oh please, you can have me any day anytime, I want to give you something special.” She lightly kissed Rin’s lips so as not to mess up their makeup.
“In that case, I have a gift for you as well.” Rin moved her hand up to brush through Yoichi’s hair.
“You do?”
“Mhm.”
“Shall we make it a bit more private then?” The blue haired girl smiled when Rin nodded, she guided her to a balcony that overlooked the sea.
They stood facing each other, slow jazz faintly playing in the background, a light breeze sent little shivers up their arms, but nothing really mattered right now.
Isagi looked into the turquoise eyes in front of her, she looked hesitant but tried to keep her brave facade. Rin chuckled at that and lightly moved Isagi's hair out from her face.
“On count of three?”
“Only if you can keep up.”
“One.
Two.
Three.”
Both stared at each other in shock.
Isagi held a velvet box in her hand, inside the box a gorgeous silver ring with blue stone in it. Rin also has a velvet box in her hand, with a silver ring with deep green stone in it.
“So we both-”
“Are we-”
Yoichi started to laugh, she trapped Rin in a hug pressing a kiss to her shoulder.
“Gosh I love you.”
“I love you too, idiot.”
“Your idiot, mind you.” Yoichi grinned and Rin just rolled her eyes and kissed her.
“Happy Valentine's Day, lukewarm.”
“Happy Valentines,number one..”
