Work Text:

It had been a peaceful morning for the old Wizard, sleeping cozily in bed. The sun had just risen, shining a gentle light through the circular window of his tower; the sounds of the farm animals from the backyard could be heard, it wasn't loud, quite calming for the Wizard even.

However, this moment of peace wouldn't last much longer.
Sounds of footsteps emerged from the hallway, and before he knew it the sound of his door being broken into pixels came.

The man shot up abruptly from his bed, "WWHAHUH??! WHO GOES THERE!?" he shouted, throwing his already raised hands even further up in the air, and shaking his fists.

Sounds of bickering could be heard from the hallway, Wakafante couldn't make out what was being said; but that wasn't his main concern at the moment--SOMEONE OR THING HAD JUST BROKEN INTO HIS ROOM!

With his shaky legs, the Wizard hurried towards the (now destroyed) door.
Grabbing his magic cane (yes he uses his wand as a cane) in case he needed defense.

"SCRAM! GO INVADE ANOTHER TOWER!" Wakafante yelled, "Wakaf- Wakafante, it's us- Ze, Moe, and ReGect." one spoke.

Wakafante paused for a moment, stood Infront of him were the three hooligans he had ever so kindly let in his house last week.
He was relieved that no intruder had broken in to rob him. "You couldn't of just KNOCKED?"

The boy froze, "Oh yeah, sorry about your door, dude." Ze said, "-To be honest it was ReGect's fault, we told it to knock."

"No you didn't!" the large entity next to Ze scoffed, crossing its arms like a child.

Ze rolled his eyes at ReGect, "Uhuh.."
He looked towards the Wizard again, "Well we came to get you prepared for your date." Ze coughed.

Wakafante was confused, his date? February 14th? That was todays date, it wasn't his though.
"My what? Date?" he questioned.

"With the pirate? Dirt or whatever his name was." Ze answered, staring awkwardly at him then back at his friends.

Wakafante was dumbfounded, who was the pirate??

The clown girl honked in ReGect's ear, ("Did you not tell him???") she confronted.

"...Maaybe.?" he shrugged, scratching the back of his head.

Moe shook her head and face palmed; she turned around, opening a chest behind her and shoving the contents of it into the Wizard's torso, ("Just put these on okay? Come out when you're finished.") she commanded, not even giving him a yes or no option.

Wakafante obliged, not like he could protest in this state, he was still dazed from being awoken so abruptly. He took the clothes and placed them on the dresser. From what he could see it was a purple suit, matching colours with the rest of his wardrobe.

Back out in the hallway the three waited for the old man to finish changing.

Ze groaned, "Why did we decide to do this so early.?" rubbing his eyes from fatigue, "It's only like 8 am."

"Oh no!!! We disturbed the prince's beauty sleep, Ohh no!!" ReGect mocked, making a pretend crying motions with their hands, "Next time consider going to bed earlier chud."

"Well I told you that I was taking up extra hours at work last night." Ze sneered, pressing his back against the wall, "You couldn't of gotten me to get on at a later time?"

"That's a you problem, not gonna lie." the entity shrugged.

Before Ze could reply he was interrupted by Moe.

Moe honked at both of them, ("Guys! Come on, we are trying to do something nice for Wakafante, he did let us stay in his tower after all - He's a lonely old man, he needs someone to love.")

"I feel like that last part of completely unnecessary, but yeah true." Ze commented.

("Oops") Moe apologized.

The three continued to converse as they waited for the Wizard to return.

-

As Wakafante finished changing into the suit, he walked over to the mirror on the wall, he adjusted his bow-tie; he couldn't recall the last time he wore something as fancy as this.
He joined the others in the hallway, "I'm done. Now could someone please explain what is going on!? Who is this Pirate?" the Wizard inquired.

Moe faced her friends, doing gestures with her hand.
"I don't know?? He's annoying?" Ze shrugged.

Moe sighed, ("Lets just say it's a suprise!") she explained, ("Come on now, Ze is going to do your hair.")

Before the man could process what Moe had told him, he was dragged by the arm down the numerous stairs of the tower.
Despite it meaning to be a surprise for Wakafante, it seemed like this was more for Moe, dragging him around the tower like a sim.

As the two reached the ground floor, the Wizard was ushered to the sofa.
As Wakafante sat down, Ze and ReGect made their way down the stairs.

"..Man- Wizard dude guy, you have like wayy too many stairs for one house." the entity huffed.

"Fattass." Ze remarked, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN "FATASS" I ONLY HAVE ONE ASS, YOU'RE THE FATTY." they bickered.

"Yeah that's definitely saying something- Wait you don't even have a respiratory system what th-" Ze tried to continued, before being cutoff by Moe's horn, snapping at them both, ("Quit fighting already! You BOTH have a job to do.")

"Wh- Yeah fine." Ze begrudgingly agreed, he didn't think he would be spending his Saturday doing a old man's hair in Minecraft, but than again it wasn't that unusual compared to other things he's wasted his weekends with ReGect and Moe on.
Ze settled himself behind the couch with Wakafante sitting Infront of him. He began to brush through the old man's hair.

"Gosh dude, do you ever comb your hair??" Ze said, struggling to section the matted mess.

"No, no I just wear my cap over my hair all the time- No need to brush your hair if no one is going to see it." the Wizard replied.

"I can see that.." Ze muttered as he continued to work.

Ze worked quick, no more than 10 minutes later and Wakafante's hair was finished.

Wakafante looked at his reflection in the TV screen; Ze had braided his hair into a French braid. He turned his head to see it in all different angles, "This is wonderful, where did a young man like you learn to do hair?" he asked, Wakafante never took Ze to be into hair styling, especially to this skill level.

"Oh thanks, I do Moe's hair sometimes- Guess I just picked up the skill from there.?" Ze shrugged awkwardly. "We should get going now, we shouldn't keep your date waiting."

The four headed outside, nothing was different about the area that surrounded the tower; it was still all small hills and an large forest.
ReGect lead the group, escorting them throughout the woods on a path of torches. The group stopped at a hill, "Is this the right place?" Ze questioned, "Yes bro, it is the right place." ChudGect answered.

A patch of grass on top of the hill had been surrounded by bone-mealed flowers, a lake surrounded by rocks and bushes sat Infront of it.

"Is this it? Where's the Pirate you mentioned?" the Wizard inquired.

"Justt wait a minute, he should be arriving soon." ReGect noted, as it looked around the lake.

A minute passed, then another two minutes went by.
"Annnyy minute no-" the Entity's sentence was cut off by the sound of an large crashing sound.

"What the fuck??"
("What happened???") Moe honked, investigating the noise, the others following after her.

A man drenched in water and bits of Sealife emerged from behind the rocks.
Everyone stared at him in silence and confusing.

The quiet being broken by Ze's comment, "Dude, what the hell."

"I err.." the man stuttered, "My ship crashed as I was docking it." pointing behind the rocks to a beached ship that had its front dunked within the lake.

"No duh." ReGect snickered.

Moe honked at the pirate.

"Right, right. No I'm fine I can do this." he exhaled, walking towards Wakafante, "You must be.. Wakafante, correct?" he paused.

Wakafante nodded, "And you are?" questioning the pirate.

"Dice, Captain Dice." he answered, "You may just call me Dice if you'd like."

Captain Dice raised his hand up to Wakafante's arm, escorting him to the bone-mealed circle.

The three hooligans watched from afar (like 20 feet, not that far lmao)
Moe nudged ReGect, signaling for them to do something, "Whuh- oh yeah, one second." it muttered, it paused for a moment and soon after the sky changed from mid-day to sunset.

Wakafante and Dice hadn't even acknowledged this change, they were already emersed into a conversation with one another. Finding out that they had already found a liking within each other; they shared many similar interests despite living such different lives. They found each other's stories fascinating, Dice listened to Wakafante's rambles on different spells and magic he has learnt; and Wakafante listened to the adventures Dice has been on recently with his crew.

"Oh my, and did you do anything to the Cave Dwellers? Did you fight them all off?" the Wizard said amazed.

"I.. I suppose you think of it like that!" Dice nervously chuckled.

The duo continued to talk, hours passed and the sun set even further; the pink-ish orange light shined against the water. Creating a beautiful scene.

They stared off into the water, Wakafante hadn't realized how close they've gotten already, both relationship wise and physically; Wakafante felt a hand reach up and brush against his. Captain Dice smiled at the Wizard, and Wakafante smiled back; accepting his gesture and held the Pirate's hand.

Wakafante leaned his head against Dice's shoulder and Dice rested his head too.

-

The main trio spied on the two, using binoculars despite being 20 ft away.

"How did this actually work." Ze muttered, astonishedly, "I didn't expect them to get along this fast.??"

Moe let out a honk, ("See, I knew this would work!") she squealed.

"Was this just an excuse for you to pair two people together and play cupid?" ReGect murmured, "This is boring- Can we do somethi-"

Before Moe could counter, the trio was interrupted by the Captain, "..We can hear you, y'know.?" Have yer being spying on us this entire time!?"

The three awkwardly stared at one another, slowly scooting away from the couple. Presumably heading back home, or to another hiding spot.

-

That encounter brought to their attention how late it was getting,

"Gosh, I can't believe how fast time has flown by, I believe it would be best if we headed home." Dice suggested, as he stood up.

"Probably for the best." Wakafante agreed.

Dice helped Wakafante up to his feet, handing him his cane too.

Wakafante smiled, before continuing, "I enjoyed our time together, Dice."

"As did I." he confessed, "We should do this again another day."

The wizard nodded as he turned away, "Goodbye friend," he waved.

Wakafante made his way down the hill, he was almost passed the first few trees of the forest before he turned back around.
He didn't know why, but he felt compelled to say something else to Dice.

When he came back, Dice wasn't there, instead sounds of creaking wood could be heard from behind the rocks and bushes.
The Wizard walked over, the Captain was attempting to push his remaining half of the beached ship back into the water; it's not like it would float for long either way, he would have better chances swimming instead.

"Dice?" Wakafante spoke.

"Oh! Yer still here, I thought you were going home, did you forget something?" Dice questioned, looking over his shoulder.

"Dice, if you want you could stay at my tower for the night, I don't believe it's safe for you to be traveling on that." Wakafante suggested, indicating towards the ship wreckage.

Dice shook his head, waving the invitation off, "No- no, I don't want to be a burden, I can get this ship back home in no time don't worry!"

"...I really don't think you should be traveling in that, you wouldn't be a burden, Dice." Wakafante said with concern, "We could do something about your ship in the morning."

"..." the Pirate paused for a moment, looking at the wreckage of his ship then back at his friend, "I suppose it wouldn't hurt."

Wakafante gestured for Dice to follow after, leading him through the forest. The sun had fully set, leaving the torches that had been placed down prior to be their only light source for the journey back home, beaming a heavy orange glow.

As they reached the tower, the lights were off, the buzzing from the TV could be heard from outside; walking in Moe was asleep on the couch and ReGect sat beside her on the floor watching TV.
He paid the duo no mind, too focused on the TV.

The Wizard walked Dice up to his bedroom, "Where will I sleep tonight?" Dice quired.

"I have a sofa in my bedroom, you could sleep on that," Wakafante told him, "you may use pillows and blankets from my bed if you please."

Dice grinned, "Thanks, Fante." he said as he continued to follow the Wizard upstairs.

Shortly after Wakafante finished setting up Dice's sleeping area, he changed into his pajamas.
As he crawled into bed, Wakafante was still giddy, he anticipated seeing Captain Dice once again tomorrow.
The Wizard fell asleep kicking his legs like a teenage girl with the biggest smile on his face.

(This like idk 100 y/o is minor coded guys ...!! /J)
