Perfect Suppression

Summary:

Chilchuck has hit a roadblock when he runs out of heat suppressants three days into his heat. And now that they’ve lost Falin a second time, and Shuro and Kabru have returned to the surface to report to the island, he is now stuck in the dungeon with no way out.
Unless someone is generous enough to help him out.

*Events happen in the semi-final act of season 1. Beware of spoilers.

Work Text:

Chilchuck groaned as he stared at the little vial in his palm.

“Shit,”

He was completely out of tablets. Possibly an omega’s worst nightmare.

After the multiple fiascos the party had encountered up until this point in their journey, restocking on items had not crossed their minds. Especially since they decided to get their nutrients from the dungeon itself. And Laios got lucky in acquiring a new sword after fighting the living armour.

The back-to-back events left no room to go back up to the surface in the first place.

And thus Chilchuck was now stuck with his party on the sixth floor of the dungeon, three days into his heat as he kept track of it on the calendar, and he had just taken his last tablet. He had four more days to go before his heat would wear off, and he was screwed.

They lost Falin again, after she returned as a ginormous monster that wiped out all of Kabru’s and Shuro’s party. And they’d just bid the latter two parties goodbye when they returned to the surface. Laios and Co were continuing their journey further down into the dungeon, and Chilchuck was wracking his brain on how he was going to survive four days of this.

He wouldn’t be able to do his job. He wouldn’t be able to concentrate on disarming traps, picking locks, or even listening out for danger. His heats were brutal and practically as disabling as a high fever would be.

Cramps, dizziness, heat flashes, and naturally rampant arousal that made it impossible to think straight.

After experiencing his first one, he decided that he wanted to start on suppressants right away.

Half-foot heats were especially notorious, as the race was often compared to wild rabbits. It was a terrible stereotype, and any Half-foot would kick you in the shins for joking about it or outwardly discriminating against the issue.

But Half-foots did tend to have a lot of children. And their heats or ruts being on the more aggressive side, well, it aided in their breeding practices.

Chilchuck himself never had this problem, as his wife was an omega as well, and their daughters came to be willingly and without the influence of breeding instincts.

Regardless, though, Chilchuck needed those suppressants, and now he was out. And he was going to be out of commission soon. The realisation that he had to tell his party members about this problem created a pit in his stomach.

His anxiety was already manufacturing what they would respond to his impending misery.

He couldn’t do that. He would find a way to fix this by himself.

.

Day one after running out of suppressants went as smoothly as it could. He wasn’t experiencing any typical heat symptoms. Which was probably a result of the last tablet he took still having an effect on his body.

‘Good’ he thought. That way, he survived another long day of scavening the dungeon. As luck had it, they ran into dire wolves and collected a Barometz to eat.

But not without Izutsumi causing a whole bunch of trouble. Thankfully, he wasn’t involved in the stress, as it would spike his cortisol levels and affect the hormonal mess going on inside his body currently.

But then nightfall hit, and as Chilchuck drifted to sleep, he was pulled out of it by a suspicious sensation in his lower abdomen. He knew that feeling all too well.

It didn’t hurt, nor was it as strong as a cramp. The sensation was more akin to a discomforting, low squeeze in his guts.

His wife once told him it was a similar feeling to small, painless menstrual cramps. She’d joked that it would be the closest thing he would ever feel to a period.

He could get these squeezes even when he was using his suppressants; they were more like a reminder that he was going through a heat, even if he wasn’t incapacitated. But now, it felt like a warning of what was to come.

He began sweating heavily over the course of a few hours. And when he eventually fell asleep, he could only catch a handful of shut-eye before they had to be up and running again.

The added grogginess and stress from the lack of sleep did not help his situation. He cursed at himself mentally for somehow landing in this situation.

And it seemed the universe had no plans of letting him rest, as the team bumped into some more excitement.

Senshi had prepared them some dinner when Izutsumi began acting too skittish to his liking.

Her behaviour seemed out of place at first, but the beast girl had good reason to be staring around the cave they were holed up in.

As it turned out, Laios had been haunted by a ghost this whole time and chose to ignore it, chalking it up to mana sickness. And he blamed Chilchuck in particular for keeping his silence.

Chilchuck would be a liar if he said he wasn’t a big critic towards Laios’ general quirkiness; perhaps he couldn’t entirely blame the Tallman.

But he felt the faint flashes of heat riding up his neck after the whole discussion. From Izutsumi’s suspicious observation giving him goosebumps, to Laios dismayed expression and his large finger pointing directly at him as he accused the Half-foot, Chilchuck felt the urge to scream into his pillow from the sudden spike in stress.

He tried to keep it together when the situation somehow escalated further.

The ghost and its companions escorted, albeit unceremoniously, the party to the Golden Kingdom of all places, as they were subservient to the king of the lost kingdom.

Chilchuck should be so lucky to experience such a grand adventure during his heat week. Fantastic.

‘Why is it always me?! Give me a fucking break.’

As a kind citizen guided them to the castle, awaiting the young lord to meet them, Chilchuck practised some box breathing to keep his heart rate down. His sweating was getting a tad worse, and the kingdom’s sunny weather didn’t help. His sunhat did little to block out the heat flashes his body was going through, either.

Once at the castle, the Half-foot tried to keep himself occupied as another kind citizen showed him the kingdom’s impressive alcohol stock. Tons and tons of barrels lined the walls, filled with all kinds of liquor.

Beer, wine, whiskey, all liquors that they’ve been brewing over the past few centuries. It was Chilchuck’s personal heaven.

He tried a few drinks that he was offered, and the alcohol relaxed some of the tension in his muscles with a big exhale. It typically took a lot more to get him properly drunk. A few glasses were enough to loosen him up nicely, however. Just what he needed to survive his nightmare.

He couldn’t escape his reality entirely, however. Day two of no suppressants looked to be escalating faster than he had hoped. By tonight, he was sure that he’d be in bed shaking and sweating. The thought made him swallow a big gulp of wine in one go.

What was he going to do?

.

After dinner, which was stressful all on its own- because hey, it’s totally normal that Laios is the chosen one to save this cursed kingdom, no problem at all- Chilchuck plopped onto his bed, sighing deeply. He brought another glass of whatever he was offered by the staff with him, but had abandoned it on the nightstand. He couldn’t even enjoy drinking at this point; the heat was killing him.

Senshi, Izutsumi and Marcille were still occupied in the other rooms, so it was just him and Laios resting up in the chambers for now. Acting like he was doing fine around a whole group of people was hard enough. Add onto that a whole kingdom’s worth of people, all the drinks in the world weren’t enough to keep up his act.

Worst of all, as much as he tried ignoring it, Laios had been staring at him all day.

That bastard. So much for being bad at reading people’s feelings. Chilchuck’s discomfort must’ve been so obvious even he noticed. However, the others hadn’t uttered a peep at his condition, which stood out to him.

Then the obvious hit Chilchuck: that must be because Marcille and Senshi were betas. Chilchuck could throw a bucket of his pheromones on them, and it wouldn’t do a damn thing.

He wasn’t sure about Izutsumi, as she’d just joined the group.

But then he remembered that Laios was an alpha, and his heart rate began spiking. He could probably smell Chilchuck this whole fucking time. And it was probably getting too noticeable to ignore if Laios was trying to be discreet about it. It was becoming an impossible task to ignore now that Chilchuck’s hormones were in rogue mode.

The Half-foot slowly sat up, and just as he did, he spotted Laios turning his head away, pretending to wipe Kensuke clean.

“Laios,” the Half-foot stated assertively, making the Tallman jump.

“Yeah?” Laios looked up without moving his head, gazing at the shorter male through his ashy eyelashes.

Chilchuck sighed.

“Don’t make this awkward, please.”

Laios stopped wiping his handkerchief over the blade and turned his face up.

“I’m not…uhm, I wasn’t gonna say anything.”

Chilchuck sighed again, dropping his face into his hand.

“I ran out of suppressants two days ago. We haven’t been able to go back to the surface to restock on supplies, so I’m screwed.”

Laios let a beat of silence pass, the events of the last two days replaying in his head.

“I see, why didn’t you say anything?”

“And say what? That I’m about to go into heat?” Chilchuck deadpanned. But Laios simply shrugged in response.

“I mean, I’ve heard of suppression spells? Maybe Marcille can help you out.”

Chilchuck shook his head dejectedly. “Those are myths. There are spells that can temporarily pause heat symptoms, but none that can stop a heat or suppress it for a whole week. It would take an insane amount of mana to stop a strong biological function like that. Besides, the deeper we go into the dungeon, the more we will need Marcille’s magic. I don’t want to waste her energy on that sort of thing.”

Laios hummed to himself. It was simply unfortunate that Chilchuck was stuck like this for a little bit, especially now that their adventure had gotten a whole lot more dangerous. Heats weren’t permanent, but being temporarily out of commission during a survival mission was simply risky.

Laios pondered to himself if he’d heard or seen any other potential remedies, but he was embarrassed to say he couldn’t come up with anything. He rarely ever did anything special for his ruts besides just taking his suppressants. And he was diligent with keeping them stocked and refilled in advance. His could be quite strong as well, especially for a Tallman his size and age. He was practically in his prime biologically.

“I’m sorry, Chilchuck. Uhm, how long do you still-?”

“It should be over in two days. But there is no telling what will happen in those days. And my heat will definitely keep me from doing anything useful. Including running away from danger.”

The Half-foot eyed the wall, shame brewing.

“I’m like a useless, empty sack of spuds.”

“C’mon, Chil…”

Silence fell over them again, lasting a long while as Laios kept thinking.

“Well,” Laios started, growing quiet as quickly as he’d spoken up.

“It’s just an idea- and you can say no- but… Well, Namari gave me this thing-”

“Spit it out, Laios,”

The blond groaned, thinking hard about his words. Chilchuck was prone to catapulting items at him, and he didn’t want to fall victim to a chalise of liquor.

“She gave me these condoms that were specifically made to withhold during ruts and heats, they’re extra strong. They were in my backpack when we were here during our initial expedition, and they were still there when we recovered our bags.” Laios explained, slowly getting to the point.

He was lucky to have had a fellow alpha like Namari in his party to assist him with these things. He sometimes felt lost without her help. She’d told him at the time that it was important for alphas to have these on them at all times. You never knew when you were going ot need them.

Laios saw Chilchuck’s eyes grow three sizes wider, his jaw falling open as he followed Laios’ train of thought. He threw his hands up immediately to defend himself and kept explaining.

“The others don’t have to know, and it’s only if you really need it. I can help, but only if you want me to.”

Chilchuck’s furore subsided as the idea slowly settled in his mind.

‘The others don’t have to know’

‘I can help, but only if you want me to.’

His eyes cast down at the floor, horrified that he was even thinking about it.

Laios helping him with his heat? Fucking him?

“You said you have two days, just take it easy and see how it goes. I’ll pick up for you where you need me to,”

Chilchuck looked up at the Tallman, a sincere grin on his face, which also reflected in his voice.k

“I’ll help you out no matter what.”

.

Chilchuck barely got any rest, tossing and turning as his shirt clung to his back. He’d thrown off his blanket at some point, his body too hot for the thin fabric.

Then he remembered Marcille was sleeping next to him, and Izutsumi at the foot end of the bed.

They were just adding to his discomfort. A little whine left him in frustration. He felt utterly lost.

Laios’ words were still swimming in his mind. He remembered the alpha’s scent- worse, he could smell it from across the room.

He groaned again, this time more irritated by how desperate he was being.

Before he could think twice, Chilchuck had moved himself away from the women and stumbled his way to Laios’ bed, curling up at the foot end of it as he kept shaking throughout the night.

.

The next morning, Laios awoke from two distinct smells.

The wafts of sweetness and a warm aroma filled the room, blessing his nostrils and calling him to breakfast waiting for him in the other room.

His eyes snapped open suddenly at the welcoming smell.

Then his heartbeat picked up its pace when another scent was added to the mix. Almost just as sweet with a hint of tanginess. It was really up close, much closer than the smell of breakfast.

He slowly sat up, only to be met with a shaking, hot and red Chilchuck curled up at his feet.

“Chilchuck!” Laios cried, alarmed. One look around showed him the others were already awake, even Marcille was up before him. Had they not noticed the Half-foot’s rough state? Or how he was shivering?

Chilchuck was left at his mercy.

Laios tried to shake him gently, only to be met with pained groans. The Half-foot looked at him, desperate and helpless.

“It got worse last night…”

“Chil… what do you want to do?”

Chilchuck squeezed his eyes tightly, whining.

“You said the condoms were in your bag. We left our luggage behind again.”

“Well…” Laios pointed at a hip pouch that he wore under his armour on the nightstand.

“I put them in there instead, just in case I needed them.”

Chilchuck blinked slowly. Of course, the bastard would plan ahead. He wasn’t going to dwell on it now. He weakly grabbed at the Tallman’s thigh.

“Please, Laios,”

Laios softly cupped the hand on his thigh with his own and gave a simple nod.

Laios secured a chair under the door so nobody could enter. It was another problem if they could hear the two, but at least he could prevent them from interrupting.

The curtains were still closed, perfect. Any sensory deprivation would help lessen the overstimulation Chilchuck was already feeling.

The Tallman helped the latter settle in his previous spot where he slept, and Laios’ scent entered Chilchuck’s nostrils as he lay in it.

His eyes grew a little hazy as he followed how Laios’ hand travelled down to the waistband of his trousers, undoing the drawstring. His heart was pounding, his breath growing quick.

“Laios,”

The latter felt a pang of pity in his chest. Chilchuck’s state was worrying, and he looked to be not just uncomfortable, but in pain as well. For him to have pushed himself this hard and this far almost seemed out of character for him. Seeing as Chilchuck had no issue chewing out the others for needlessly pushing themselves. Yet, Chilchuck chose to stay as mysterious as possible about his personal problems, even if it could affect his work.

Laios pondered if he could have helped sooner if he said something two days ago.

But there was no use in ruminating on it now.

Chilchuck needed his help; he was practically begging for the Tallman.

He reached for his pouch and fished out a condom, quickly pulling down his trousers and freeing his dick.

He saw how Chilchuck’s chest flinched at the sight of his member, but his eyes grew big, and Laios swore he saw the Half-foot’s mouth flooding.

The sight was addictive to look at, triggering his own pheromones.

Laios always felt that his ruts were the closest he would ever get to being a monster. And he couldn’t even indulge in that, considering the consequences.

But Chilchuck gifted him an opportunity here. An opportunity to be the beast he wanted to be.

He quickly slipped the condom on and helped the Half-foot undress. Laios’ nose could pick up on the Half-foot’s sweat as it clung to his skin and overwhelmed the Tallman’s senses. This heat had done a number on him.

His cock was also flushed, raging and dripping, practically ready to burst.

He carefully lifted Chilchuck’s legs before placing them onto his own, the latter's little moans filling his ears.

“You have to tell me if it hurts, okay?” Laios cupped the Half-foot’s cheek, making him look up at him. Chilchuck gave him a weak nod before nuzzling into his palm, inhaling more of the alpha’s scent.

Laios’ cock twitched at the little gesture; his instinct was telling him to kiss Chilchuck right there and then.

He refrained, though, opting to trail two fingers down and press against Chilchuck’s hole, feeling just how wet he was. Two fingers pressed easily into the slick-covered walls, pumping in and out a few times, pulling wavering, little moans from Chilchuck’s lips.

“Please, just-”

He whimpered, his hand weakly pushing against Laios’ larger one, trying to stop him to no avail.

“Just what, Chil?” Laios asked, his voice a tad cloudy. Chilchuck’s state was hypnotising to him; it took all his self-control not to destroy the Half-foot below him.

And if Chilchuck didn’t feel so incapacitated, he would’ve punched Laios for continuing to make him suffer like this. Both knowing there was very little Chilchuck could do right now other than cry.

And he did just a little bit. His hands flew up to pull Laios’ face down, mere inches away from his.

Fuck me already, goddamn it,

A startled gasp left Chilchuck’s lungs when, just seconds after, something bulging prodded into him, his slick serving as lubrication for the way he was being stretched open. Chilchuck’s eyes rolled into the back of his head as the stretch continued, his hole taking all of Laios’ length, filling his walls all the way up to his guts.

“Oh, fuck! That’s it!”

His fingers dug into Laios’ shirt, fisting the fabric tightly.

And he grew dizzier by the second, being so full causing him to lose focus. His body worked on autopilot, his hips rocking slowly, trying to chase friction.

But Laios took notice, quickly grabbing onto the Half-foot’s hips and pulling his own back slowly.

Chilchuck’s cries filled his ears like music, panting as he pulled back far enough until his tip was still sheathed in. And in one thrust, he snapped right back in, two sets of groans filling the room.

Chilchuck’s fingers shook against the Tallman’s chest. He was sweating again, though it felt like he was finally sweating off a sickness. He finally felt complete now that he was filled to the brim. Now that he was getting fucked like he craved- like he deserved.

Laios pulled back again, slowly and torturously, seeing the anticipation in Chilchuck’s eyes. It was adorable, it was fucking beautiful.

The Tallman waited for an extra moment longer, watching as the anticipation turned into concern before he thrusted back in.

Chilchuck’s eyes rolled again, breath stuttering in his chest before eliciting a small wail.

Laios kept thrusting, each one producing a sloppy plap as the omega’s slick dripped down his skin. His smaller cock lay dripping on his stomach, wet streaks rolling down his waist.

The Tallman grunted as he grew hotter, too. The feel of Chilchuck’s tight hole strangling his cock was making his head spin. It was as if he were already in a rut, dripping, drooling and sweating while balls deep in an omega.

Chilchuck’s voice shook as he called the Tallman’s name, repeating it over and over like a prayer.

He was begging, but what for he didn’t know. Perhaps for release, to be freed from this suffocating curse.

It felt like with each chant, Laios only grew faster, deeper and harder. He angled his hips up higher, pulling Chilchuck up with him. He added more force to his hips while keeping up the pace, drinking in all of Chilchuck’s pitiful little moans.

The bed started shaking, the headboard slamming against the wall behind it. The noise was loud enough to have alerted the people in the next room, but that thought did not cross either of their minds.

The only thing Chilchuck could focus on was the alpha on top of him consuming him. Filling up his ass, filling up his senses, and his mind.

Laios’ scent was permanently ingrained in his memory; warm, sandalwood-like, and smoky. He wanted to keep inhaling it, and he wanted to never let go of it.

Laios was at the end of his rope, his climax creeping up on him fast. Chilchuck’s scent worked like a natural stimulant, making him feel all the right things to pound into the Half-foot like it was the last thing he’d ever do.

“Chil, so close, oh fuck,

He moaned, quickly feeling his abdomen churn.

Knot… in me,

Laios’ hips suddenly stuttered, making them both groan at the stunted rhythm.

“Huh?” The Tallman managed to utter as he regained his composure.

Please,” Chilchuck begged, reaching higher for Laios’ shirt collar and pulling him down, causing the blond to almost double over and take the Half-foot with him.

“I need it, please.”Chilchuck’s tone made it impossible for Laios to think properly.

It was just his heat talking, Laios had to remember that. He couldn’t under any circumstances give in.

He sat up as he gently grabbed Chilchuck’s hands and pulled them off of him, pinning them above the Half-foot’s head and continued to rail him, rushing them both to their much-needed climaxes.

“I can’t do that, Chil, you know that,” Laios responded with the patience of a nomad.

Chilchuck’s weary expression sent a pang of guilt into his chest, but he’d get over it once he came to his senses. Laios knew that.

“Laios!” the brunet cried as he burst, threads of cum dripping from his tip and painting his flushed pink skin.

Laios groaned loudly as his member swelled at the tip, and quickly stuffed himself deeply into the Half-foot when his orgasm hit. Laios stilled as he quickly filled up Chilchuck’s walls, feeling the latter shake in his grasp.

The blond didn’t realise he was holding in his breath, and quickly exhaled as his lungs ached for air, his chest pumping deeply.

He panted as he took in Chilchuck’s dishevelled state. His eyes were glossed over, catching his breath as he came down from his high.

He was still stuck in Laios’ grip, staying put while his hole squeezed around Laios’ length.

They sat still for a moment, allowing oxygen and reality return to them.

Laios eventually retracted his hand, freeing Chilchuck from his hold, who pulled his hands to his chest, eyes cast to the wall, and his cheeks flushed.

“How are you feeling?” Laios inquired softly, brushing a strand from the brunet’s eyes.

“Better now,” Chilchuck confirmed, giving a small nod.

Laios carefully pulled out when the swelling had gone down, a tad shocked at how much his condom had filled. He tied it up and dropped it back in his pouch, planning to dispose of it discreetly later.

“Uhm, what I said about the knotting, look-”

Chilchuck stilled when Laios’ palm was back on his cheek, keeping his gaze on the Tallman.

Laios leaned in so their faces were just a beat apart.

“Next time, if you want.”

The look in his golden eyes was devious, but candid.

And Chilchuck felt his heart race again, like he was experiencing his first heat all over again.
