The Deep is the kind of guy to escape from Homelander by hiding by sitting at a bench wearing a Groucho Marx glasses and beige coat. while reading a book about S̶e̶a̶ Wild life.
Homelander loses track of him and then notices a guy sitting on the bench reading a book, he decides to ask him.
"Excuse me, Sir. Would you happen to see The Deep around here?" He asks politely.
"Oh yeah, I did notice him. He headed that way." He points with his index finger forward.
"Okay then. Thank you so much, kind citizen! You are the real hero!" He says happily as he walks to where the man pointed at, before the sharp realization that this was Deep the whole time hits him.
The Deep then runs the exact opposite of where he pointed at as he runs with his life on the line, leaving the coat, book, and mustache still on the same position floating in the air before eventually falling on the floor.
"Wait a second!!" He looks back to see Deep desperately running away from him. "Goddamn it!!" He gets angry as he fell for the dirty little trick that Deep made to escape.
