Chapter Text
SEASON THREE
“I would burn the whole of who I was before I let the cold take the only thing I have ever chosen for myself.” - Nyssara
[BOOK TWO OF SONGS OF SILENCE AND FLAME]
She survived the South by becoming silent.
Beyond the Wall, silence stops being enough.Taken into Mance Rayder’s camp after Qhorin Halfhand’s death, Nyssara is no longer hidden beneath Winterfell’s borrowed name. Among the Free Folk, her blood begins to matter, her dragon’s egg begins to wake, and the old ghosts of House Targaryen stir in dreams made of prophecy, ash, and fire.
Jon Snow is alive, infuriating, impossible to escape, and still guilty of breaking the one promise she believed.
As wildlings march, the dead gather, and the Wall trembles beneath the weight of what is coming, Nyssara and Jon are forced back into each other’s orbit—hurt, hungry, and unfinished. But the closer winter comes, the more the fire inside her answers.
And fire, once woken, does not stay small.
