After Morro returned as a human he wanted to seek revenge on the ninja but chose a different strategy this time…
Instead of targeting Lloyd, he'll target his favorite person out of the ninja, recalling Lloyd's memories and his feelings, it was bluntly obvious it was Kai, the hot-headed one.
"Of course it's him.." Morro muttered to himself, after all Kai was the only one reckless enough to face Morro one on one and after recalling more memories of Lloyd's, he was reckless too many times just to protect the blonde boy, of course he'd be Lloyd's favorite.
Now Morro had to learn even more about him, if he gains Kai's trust, he gains Lloyd's and eventually the whole team's trust, he just has to act nice till the call for action.
So here he was, at the monastery, surrounded by the ninja with Kai of course, standing in front of Lloyd and getting closer and closer, his eyes glaring at Morro with rage
"What are you doing here?" Kai snapped at him, Morro in the usual cases would roll his eyes and hit him with his wind, but he wasn't in a usual case right now so he looked away from the red Ninja's gaze and sighed.
"I don't know... I didn't know where else to go."
Kai's hands slowly started setting on fire and before he could attack Wu stopped him "Kai, stop..."
Kai looked at Wu, baffled "what do you mean stop? Are you serious! He can hurt Lloyd or posses him again for all that we know-"
Kai was cut off by Wu's stern command "I said stop it, Kai.." which made Kai frown at his teacher but returned to look at Morro who looked back at him.
"I'm sorry..." Morro said, glancing at Kai before making eye contact with the person he was apologizing to, Lloyd.
Lloyd, being a sweetheart as always, took a step closer so he was beside Kai who looked at him with worry.
"it's...okay, I forgive you, Morro."
Kai's eyes shot wide open "what? Lloyd, are you serious?" Lloyd quickly held Kai's hand and smiled at him and nodded, making Kai stop talking and look at him for a long period, as if trying to understand his younger friend.
Morro counted the seconds the two communicated together with just a smile and a frown, a second, two seconds..now five before Kai looked away and grumbled "whatever.." under his breath.
Yeah...no wonder Lloyd likes him more.
Lloyd returned his focus to Morro "I know you're capable of change, uncle told me a lot about you"
Morro felt the intense kindness of the blonde boy disgust him but didn't make a face, he then looked at Wu who gave him a hopeful look "Morro... would you like to stay with us?"
The words left Wu's mouth and suddenly every ninja started voicing their disagreement, but Morro gave them no mind and stood there, silently watching Wu with an unreadable expression.
And now there he was, in Kai's room, why? FSM knows. Wu is weird and didn't give Kai an explanation, however it was perfect for Morro's plan.
Though the plan gave a different result and he gained Lloyd's and Wu's trust, he was still after the red ninja, he was the closest to everyone of them.
Kai and Cole stay awake playing videogames together.
Kai and Jay shop for everything together.
Kai and Zane always cook together.
Kai is Nya's brother and parental figure.
Kai is Lloyd's closest friend...
If he took Kai away…
He smiled to himself just thinking about it, which made Kai groan. "the fuck you smiling for? Creep."
Kai said, fixing the bed half-assed with a pillow wall between them and laying down on one half of the bed. "you better sleep and not do anything sketchy.."
Kai glared at the wind master, making him roll his eyes "I wasn't planning anything.." Morro said as a matter of factly before looking at the pillow wall Kai made.
"What's that?" Morro asked.
Kai rolled his eyes. "so you won't do something weird"
Morro raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms.
“You're such a baby"
Kai scoffed. "For protecting myself?"
Morro groaned "oh please, if I really wanted to hurt you this pathetic pillow won't stop me.”
Kai just ignored him and crossed his arms, leaning back against the bedframe "lay down." He simply said, making Morro shake his head and lay down beside him.
Kai laid turned on his side with his head propped up with his arm, looking at Morro, inspecting him.
Morro laid on his back, eyes wide open.
Kai raised an eyebrow "why aren't you sleeping?"
Morro glanced at him before looking away, a bit embarrassed before admitting "I... I forgot how to..."
Kai looked at him suspiciously. "deadass?"
Morro looked confused as his nose scrunched slightly "are you making fun of my death?"
Kai raised his eyebrow "what? No, I- ugh whatever, you got a lot to learn, including how to sleep.. what do you mean you forgot?"
Morro shrugged, "I forgot... What should I do?"
The two sat in silence as Kai tried to make out a truth or lie from the wind master.
Kai spoke "close your eyes..?"
Morro looked at Kai with a small frown "why don't you close your eyes?"
Kai huffed "Because I'm watching you, I'm not sleeping till I trust you which would be never!"
Morro hummed "then you won't sleep ever? How tiresome.." Morro teased with a small smile.
Kai threw a pillow at him, Morro frowned and threw it back and before they knew it they were both on the floor, straddling, punching, biting, hair-pulling, name-calling, whatever there is they did but they must've been too loud because the door opened and Wu stood there, a look of disappointment on his face as he brushed his long white beard.
"Kai, I told you to be welcoming to Morro, I trusted you with him.." Wu scolded.
Kai looked away "I tried but it's just impossible! Can't he share a room with anyone else? Why me?"
Wu sighed softly, his hands behind his back "as your punishment Kai, you're gonna be the one teaching him everything about this new world.”
Kai jumped to his feet, eyes wide in disbelief "But sensi!" He whined.
Wu interrupted. "no buts.”
Morro got up himself and said "I don't want him to teach me anything." he said, his tone serious as he glared at the red ninja.
Wu shook his head "you have to get along with him too, Morro, give each other a chance maybe you two will grow fond of the other.." Wu said and without another word he closed the door and left the two alone once again.
Kai scoffed and laid down on his side of the bed "as if.." and Morro followed suit, the two laying down in silence.
Kai closed his eyes and fell asleep before he knew it
Morro watched him sleep, Kai's chest rising and falling with every breath making Morro realize that he stopped breathing himself, coughing softly into his hand before breathing,he's been a ghost for so long now he forgot he needs oxygen now since becoming a human again.
Whatever, he thought, laying down and facing away from Kai, trying to fall asleep.
