Chapter Text

Recently, you’ve created this world in Minecraft. It was completely new and single player, since you love to play alone sometimes without the need to hear anyone yelling or screaming for absolutely no reason. You made a 4x4 wooden house for yourself, having a bed in the corner, two windows, a big chest in the other corner, closer to the door and of course a crafting table and a furnace. Since you’re a big animal lover, you befriended a wolf and now he’s just protecting you from any danger up ahead. The (now) dog has a fluffy white fur and a curious and cute look on his face almost all the time.

Currently, it’s around the 50th day since you began playing. It nears the evening, unfortunately or not. As you were aggressively clicking on your bed to fall asleep quickly and start a new day, you suddenly heard something outside. Sounds like shuffling. You, being the curious one, stopped torturing your own bed by clicking on it and decided to investigate. You didn’t take your dog with you, since it might be dangerous for your puppy. Plus, he looks like he needs the sleep right now. As you stepped outside, you were met with a forest which certainly didn’t look that creepy before. You began walking quietly, taking out a diamond sword (rich-rich hehe) in hand just in case.

Shuffle shuffle…

Again, you heard something. You weren’t hallucinating, you were sure of that. You continued going deeper and deeper into the woods. The light breeze gushing straight into your face.

But then, you saw it.

You froze in fear of unknown. Black eyes staring deeply into yours, a smile stretched so wide you weren’t sure it was human. The figure seems humanoid, but is it human? That was your question. Suddenly, the figure pulled out something. A bloodied axe. Slowly, as if not to scare you, the almost voided “creature” began walking towards you with malice in its eyes.

You didn’t need a second glance when you realized what this… thing wanted to do. You quickly turned around and began running away. The forest seemed endless while you tried reaching your house. Looks like the humanoid creature also caught on and began running after you.

Unfortunately, the “person” caught up to you and grabbed you by the collar. It turned you around and dropped you on the ground, then raised their axe. You knew what was coming, so you accepted your fate. The axe swung straight into your head, splitting your head into two while blood scattered everywhere. The figure’s smile only stretched in sadistic satisfaction.

Luckily to you, you had a respawn point in your house due to the bed. You awoke in the said bed, breathing heavily as you sat up. You felt a headache. I wonder why. Though, you wondered too, since this is a game and nothing of this is real, right? You, the real you, realized it was around 2 AM by now and you probably should go to sleep in real life too. You quickly logged off, but the headache was SPLITTING. You decided it’s better to come back tomorrow. Maybe it’s just a glitch and a coincidence. A very bad glitch and a too similar coincidence. You tried falling asleep on your soft and comfortable bed, but you couldn’t stop thinking about that “glitch”. Soon, your exhaustion took over you and you began to fall asleep.

Between the soft blinks, you were sure you saw a black hooded(?) figure right in front of you. It seems to be holding an axe, but a real one this time. You quickly got up but noticed nobody in the room, except for you, your plush toy collection and that big, big bear somewhere buried in it. Who doesn’t want to hug a big, soft bear sometimes? That was your thought when you were in the shop getting the bear. Ahem, off topic.

Looks like you were getting paranoid because of this. You looked over at your PC. Silence fell in the room. Slowly, your body, as if moved on your own, came over to it and sat down on your gaming chair. You hopped on to Minecraft once again, opening the same world.

You were in your wooden house, with your loyal doggy in the corner. You noticed it was night time. You put on your diamond armor, took your diamond sword and were ready to head back into the woods to deal with whatever creature was lurking there, just outside your house. But something stopped you.

Knock knock knock…

A pause. You stared at the door of your house. It stared back at you. The walls felt like they were getting closer and closer, trying to squeeze you out of the house.

Knock knock knock.

Again, but a bit more insistently. Why was some stupid knocking terrifying the hell out of you? You couldn’t understand. Slowly, you began walking towards the door, reaching out for the handle to open it for the one who was knocking.

Suddenly, an axe stabbed right through the wooden door. You flinched and backed away, when you noticed who was behind the door. The same black eyes, the same stretched out smile. It seems to only get bigger when this thing noticed you. You panicked, began breathing heavily, stepping back until you were against your own house’s wall. Wait, it wasn’t so close. The house is 2x2 now. You were sure you built a 4x4 house, for your own comfort. You seemed to be thinking about the wrong things because when you looked back, the grinning figure was right in front of you, raising their axe as you couldn’t move away or move at all.

The figure slashed your Minecraft character, but this time, the screen didn’t show you the “Respawn”, “Title Screen” buttons. Instead, it showed you a message. “Look behind you :)”

Your eyes widen. You trembled. No, you shook. Slowly, you turned around, only to see the figure. It grinned unnaturally, the same black eyes staring into yours. The creature raised their real axe, which looked pretty sharp. You were frozen as you watched his moves. Then, the axe split your head into two, while the figure’s smile only stretched wider. Blood got everywhere.

Even on the teddy bear.

Poor teddy bear.
