Work Text:

There's a train that leads to nowhere. A long steamed train, appearance similar to those which were used in world war one, it's seven carriages a royal blue with orange hints. Other notes of its appearance are the lack of steam, a small balcony at the last carriage, the typical windows imbued with an unbreakable pane of glass, and no doors at all.
The station in leaves is located in a Mediterranean town with layers of building shaping to an egg, the terrain is filled with stone buildings, trees and seemingly bustling streets.

The track it uses is on an impossibly tall stone bridge, supported by sole Collums every few meters. The train travels across a vibrant blue sea, on a pleasant cloudless sunny day. It will continue its track towards a distant horizon, but do be warned; there will be no destination.

There is no one else on the train but you and whoever you might have arrived there with, the faint shadows are not people. You cannot communicate with them, and they will disappear after a while. There is no food or beverages located on the train, consuming anything you might've brought to the train is permitted. You will wake up in the carriages three to five, the paper ticket in your hand 'used'.

The climate in each cart is comfortable, warm though it is advised to locate the seventh carriage immediately. Checking the cab is futile, there will be no conductor.
The weather outside is windy with a faint smell of sea salt, do not linger too long on the train lest you'd like the return to be arduous.

Rarely, a nameless station will appear after some time. It is suspended on a structure similar to the bridge, from afar it looks as if it's floating. The train will stop at said station, you can get off the train safely. The station will have a small stall of food along with many common functions a train station would have. There will be no penalty for staying or leaving with the train.

It is recommended under any circumstances that one should attempt to exit the train immediately. Both the space between each entrance and exit of every carriage and the end balcony are viable options of escape- with varying degrees of success.
At the start of your dream you'll already be far from town, it is still a comfortable distance. The pleasant atmosphere can make you lose track of the distance between the station and where you currently are. The speed of which the train travels is safe enough that you can jump off carefully and end up safe.

The town's architecture is strangely ovular, though it is vast the only inhabitants are a few more shadow like people every street. Food and beverages are safe to consume, payment not needed. Although they will all have a stringy likeness of both texture and shape.
The tiled streets are ever changing, the slope of the place could easily lose wanderers with no keen eye. What remains a constant however, are the fauna and flower pots. Contact the post office located in the heart of this town, and help will eventually arrive.

This dreamlike paradise is not for you, the azure sea and calm breeze is not one to be pleasantly lost in. Neither is the town welcoming to those of your kind.

And remember, there is no destination for this train.

Notes:

Writing based on those stories in the older 'place' stories, I wasn't an SCP or hard backrooms fan but this also share some similarities .

I wrote the whole thing in like 25 minutes bro this came through me like a trance. The main inspiration or general vibes are from; Even if I feel into a ghost story I need to work, Kiki's delivery service (the sea) and Orv (for the isolation aspect).
