Chapter Text
Changbin has been sitting in front of his partners for more than seven minutes. He can see the irritation in their eyes. They have been waiting for their pregnant mate who went to the bathroom a while ago. He has been having a bad day since this is his second pregnancy, and he is in that time of stage where he pukes in the morning, craves everything his eyes land on, stressed all day. Changbin has only seen this; he is an omega, but he has never had a chance to experience this. He wants it so bad but can’t have that because he can’t have it. How he wishes he could give birth to just one pup.
“I just threw up all my fucking breakfast.” Jisung comes and takes a seat near Jeongin on the carpet. He is four months now and the bump is really visible.
“Sorry baby.” Jeongin speaks and puts the pouting omega in his lap. By all means Jisung is not light, i mean he is carrying another person in his belly, but the alpha just has a lot of strength than he lets on.
“I think we should all nap soon.” Seungmin closes his eyes. They all work so hard to provide for the stay-at-home omegas that they have. It was a decision that was made by the alphas.
“I hope you didn’t call us all here for nothing Binnie, we have things to do unlike you.” Minho runs a hand through his long hair. He looks so handsome with his long strands all up in his face.
“Yes, sorry for the delay. I just wanted Jisung to be comfortable.” He takes a deep breath and speaks.
“I have decided to leave the pack.” He looks down and plays with a loose thread on his favorite worn-out jeans. He really doesn’t expect much reaction from his six mates, so he decides to take another breath and continues.
“I don’t think i contribute anything to this pack and i know you won’t be shocked by my sudden departure. I know you how feel because i have been with you for the past eight years so i know all of you in and out.” He has a smile on his face as he says. Deep down, he knows he has been waiting to have this conversation with his mates. He is so happy he is finally saying it out loud, it is gonna set him free.
“But.....” Felix tries to speak out, but Chan holds his hand. They want to listen to Binnie and what he has to say. Changbin doesn’t raise his eyes from his lap, but he nods a little as a sign of gratitude to Chan for giving him a chance to speak whatever it is he wants to.
“I want a divorce but i want to still have some time with our pups. I know i have no right to ask you of that but i have grown attached to them even though they are not mine.” He is still smiling when he finishes this.
“I will totally understand if you don't accept after all i didn't birth them and i am abandoning them.” He used to have a hard time saying this both in his head and to his friend Wooyoung, but he has had courage ever since he met that stranger.
“I have already moved out and i found an apartment. I was gonna leave without telling you even though i know it would have taken you weeks to even know that am gone. I thought you had the right to know that i already made you sign divorce papers without your consent. Hahahaa.” He laughs. He can still remember when he went around making them sign the divorce papers without any of them noticing. He just gave them a pen and paper and they just signed them.
“Some stupid part of me says you signed the papers because you trust me, but we all know it's not true. Hahaha.” He laughs again.
He wants to say more, but it is so useless. He knows they will be a better pack without him. He doesn't look at them because he knows the type of faces they are making. He knows they are looking at him with unreadable faces, but he knows what they are thinking. They think it's his way of seeking attention. He has been called an attention seeking whore for as long as he can remember.
This time he is gonna be gone. He is gonna choose his wolf.
‘We go.’ His wolf pushes him.
Most wolves would be against leaving their pack behind, especially if they are bonded and fated. But his wolf has had enough, and it wants Binnie to be free and happy.
“Please call me if you agree to letting me have the kids for a little while.” He stands and stretches.
He knows that they won’t say anything, they won’t tell him to stay or even beg for an explanation for this sudden outcome, but it still hurts to see them seated back without saying anything while he walks out the door for the last time. He shakes his head in disbelief and closes the door behind him.
“hahahahahahahaha.” He laughs. He still can't believe he spent half of his life with them. He wanted them to at least pretend and give him pity hugs, but they didn’t. How can people be so cruel.
“Mama mama.” He hears a small, cute voice. It’s Cherry, their five-year-old Felix’s daughter. She runs to her with him bare feet and hugs her dam.
“Cherry!!!! what did i say about leaving the house without an adult?” He questions the little bundle in his hands. Binnie is so overprotective of the kids because of that one time he lost Cherry at the mall. He remembers the fear he felt when he looked almost everywhere and couldn’t find her and it turns out she was only playing hide and seek with him and she was hiding in the shopping cart that he was using.
He has cute freckles on both cheeks just like his dam. She has the exact lips that Chan has with dimples on her face.
“Sorry mama but i though i should say goodbye to you. Something tells me to come with you.” She says and puts her tiny hands on his face to wipe a rolling tear.
“Waaaaaaahhhhhh.” He hears Reah crying. Their second child is a crybaby as always just like her dam Jisung. She is so cute with her dimpled big cheeks. She is only three, but she looks like a six-year-old because of Seungmin’s height.
“Mama, you didn’t give me my kisses before you leave.” Reah says and wipes his tears.
Binnie always gives goodbye kisses to these creatures. How could he forget when it might be his last time seeing them. He closes his eyes and tries so hard to stop himself from crying but it’s hard when these kids sense something is wrong. Somehow, their instincts tell them to say their last goodbyes, but they are too young to understand.
Changbin wants to be involved with these kids but if his mates (ex-mates) say no, who is he to disagree with them? He might have not given birth to these angels, but he was their dam when their own dams couldn’t be.
Changbin sits down on the dirty ground to explain. He puts them on his thighs and gives them head kisses.
“I won’t be coming back my little guppies....”He rocks them sideways. Cherry, who never cries already has his dam’s shirt in her little hands and is trying to use it to wipe any tears on her face.
“Cherry, please don’t cry.” He tries to tell his eldest daughter.
“Is it something that we did? I promise i will listen and make Cherry listen too. Am sorry mama” Reah cries.
“No No No You are both good girls.” He chuckles and says. He really wonders how they will listen to everything he says when they do. They have never once disobeyed him in the five years they have spent on earth.
“I love you both so much but i have to do this and i hope you will understand when you grow up.” Binnie holds them so tight, and the pups just do the same.
“I want you two to be on your best behavior when am away.” He kisses them again and again and again. He says this because the pups tend to disobey the others when he isn’t around. He really doesn’t know why, and he finds it ridiculous that they don’t listen to their birth moms but him.
“Will you forget us when you leave?” Cherry asks.
“How could i ever forget my guppies. I will never forget you, my loves.” He answers.
These two became the reason as to why he endured whatever he went through the past years.
“I need you to promise me something.” He makes the two girls stand in front of him. This is an important assignment.
“I want you to promise me that you will forgive me for this and never forget me whether they are good or bad memories.” He says in between tears.
The last thing he wants is forgiveness from these two. He thinks it's very selfish to leave them, but he has to do this so that he can find something he feels is truly his. They are gonna be okay without him.
“I love you.” He raises up and hands the cute creatures to Chan and Minho.
He runs outside the gate to meet his best friend who has been waiting for him for some time. He feels a very powerful wind pass through him when he steps outside and this is no ordinary wind. It is different and so beautiful.
“No more pack bond.” His wolf speaks again.
“Binnie new person again.” He can see his reflection in the car window, and he clearly sees his eyes change from their natural color to pink.
“Binnie free.” He stands in front of the green car like an idiot listening to his wolf talking. It rarely talks to him, but it has been talkative for the last few weeks after Binnie spoke to that stranger.
“Binnie, get in.” He comes back to this world again after hearing Wooyoung’s voice.
“Don’t rush me. You ruined the moment omega.” He sits in the passenger seat and folds his arms.
“Do you know how cute you look when you pout.” Woo young gets cuteness aggression when it comes to Binnie. So, when he holds his face and kisses every part of his face, Binnie doesn't move, he doesn't resist, he doesn't push him away. He just enjoys the moment because he has been missing this.
“Okay, back to business. I filled your house with plushies and am not sorry for the black and pink you will find.” Woo young starts the car.
When he looks back at the house he has known for almost nine years, he sees Jisung and Felix carrying the girls in one of the widest windows in his former pack room. It looks like the pups are still crying, and their dams are trying to comfort them.
‘They will be okay.’ His wolf assures him.
He is well aware that the two omegas can see him, and the look in their eyes is just what he needs to leave this place without a second thought. They still look at him with uninterested faces. They don't care whether he leaves or not.
“I don’t ever wan to come back to that house again Woo young.” Changbin closes his eyes.
“Well. I will make sure of it.”
“I like it.” Changbin jumps up and down with Wooyoung. This is so beautiful.
“I know right?” Wooyoung bites his lower lip to keep himself from shouting.
“I will never understand omegas outside their heats even if i tried harder.” San says.
San doesn’t get why plushies and blankets would ever make the two omegas happy. I mean the room is filled with fluffy shit all over, and he barely sees the two omegas from where they fell on the bed. They are wrapped in blankets and the plushies anger him because he can’t see the omegas cuddling. He has had the need to join them ever since they started making the damn nest, but they keep telling him it's not done yet.
“Pleaaaaase let me in omegas.” He is already kneeling at the far end of the nest. He wouldn't want any trouble from the two omegas. Entering a nest without permission is like having a death wish.
“Okay, but only if you leave those clothes outside.” Binnie, the owner of the little nest commands. San looks at Wooyoung for permission too but he only just shrugs. San becomes the flash that very second because the two omegas don't know what kind of speed he uses to undress and end up putting the two omegas on his chest.
They spend the whole afternoon and evening in the nest cuddling, but the other two end up having to go back to their other packmates with the reason being Yunho (the other omega who is pregnant) wants their pheromones on him.
They had so much time shopping for him, but the thing is he doesn’t know how to cook so he chooses to make instant noodles for himself and watch a movie.
He is in the middle of watching the last part of the movie sinners where Annie is handing the baby to Smock when he hears a knock on his door. He quickly wipes his tears and goes to open the door.
“Hi, my name is Hyunjin and i brought pie.”
Changbin can't believe his eyes but it's the stranger. The man who changed his life for the better he thinks.
“Like what you see? Neighbor?” The alpha is all up in his space and likes it. He is so close to him that he can feel the air that he breathes out.
“Do......you...” Changbin is still stuttering when he smells a familiar scent.
He can’t believe it, but he thinks it's his ex-mate. What does he want now and how did he know he lives here.
“Changbin” Minho calls his name.
“Minho, what are you doing here?” Changbin asks.
“I’ll be inside bunny.” Hyunjin whispers in his ear and just enters his house. This has Binnie blushing so badly.
Changbin is dumb sometimes, but he doesn’t remember inviting the alpha in. He is shocked at the audacity that his mouth is hanging open.
“Who is that alpha?” Minho doesn't like to be ignored, so when he speaks up, Binnie just feels his anger. He doesn't know why he would be angry, but he doesn't have time for this.
“What do you want?” He leans against the door frame, folds his arms, and asks.
