With the Boys finally ending, it's time for me to make a crossover fic that I've had in my head for quite some time

Chapter Text

With the death of Homelander came some semblance of peace, though it didn’t last long. Any remaining supes were hunted down and killed despite Stans attempts to prevent it, leaving only a few to go into hiding. The ones in hiding were those that were lucky enough to not be exposed with the rest when countless others were exposed, you among them. You were turned back during the first set of testings to create supes yet you managed to avoid having your powers revealed, which in turn allowed you to avoid being placed in the Hero Directory.

It was a shame you weren’t able to be there when Homelander met his end but you were able to witness it on TV. How fitting that the one who claimed to be God became nothing more than a sniveling man child the moment he lost his powers and got his ass kicked. A crowbar through the head was too easy for him, he deserved far worse than anything Butcher could have imagined.

Thanks to some assistance from an old friend, you chose to head to a small village hidden away in the middle of nowhere Romania. According to him, it would be difficult to make a life within the village but it would be far better than remaining within America where you could be easily found.

Heading down the hill, rucksack slumped over your shoulder, you entered the village and... it left a lot to be desired. The houses looked like they were holding on by a thread, the people watching you as you approached. Apparently there was a small shop that was run by an old man in need of someone to take over for him.

You walked down the street, the villagers watching you closely as they whispered amongst themselves. It didn’t take long to find the shop. You entered and noticed that the inside looked leagues better than outside.

“A customer, what can I do for you?” An old man asked from the counter.

“I heard you’re in need of someone to take over the shop for you, I’m here to apply.” You replied.

“You must be the one Duke talked about. He told me a lot about you... but I wonder if you have what it takes to work here.” The old man said.

“I can handle anything you or the villagers can throw at me.” You replied.

“Confident, or cocky. It's not the villagers you should be concerned about, it’s the lords that should have your attention. Did Duke explain anything about them?” The old man asked.

“No and if I’m being honest, I don’t really care. I just want to work and live a quiet life.” You replied.

The old man sighed. “Very well. When can you start?”

“Right now if you want me to.” You replied.

“Excellent. Let me show you around and explain how things run in here and I’ll leave you to work for the day. Succeed and I’ll hand the shop over to you, fail and you can go elsewhere.” The old man said.

“I don’t plan on failing.” You replied.

“Then you should do fine. Come along now, I’ve much to show you.” The old man said.
