Work Text:
The night was quiet. The only thing that could be heard was the faint whistling of the wind, and Daya’s soft snores next to her.
Unlike Bosco, Daya always fell asleep relatively fast. Tonight, after a long makeout session, Daya had put on her cute black, plaid pajamas Bosco loved oh so much, and pretty much as soon as she had turned off the lights, she was out cold under the covers.
On her bedside table were piled various accessories: her rings, her bracelets and her necklaces- Daya wore an almost absurd amount of jewelry, and Bosco sometimes giggled at the time it took her to remove them before bed. Daya would always scoff, and jokingly tell her that ‘At least I have better style than you, you basic woman.’
Daya was spread across her side of the bed, one leg on top of Bosco’s and one arm lazily looped around her hips. Bosco had learnt early on in their relationship that Daya liked touch, liked being close to people. Bosco thought she might be bothered by that, since it was something that had bothered her with some of her previous partners, but it turned out that she liked it when it was Daya. She liked having Daya’s hand in hers, liked it when she moved closer at restaurants so that their knees bumped, or when the taller girl leaned her head onto Bosco’s.
She sighed quietly, as she shifted, being careful not to move too much as to not wake up the sleeping Daya- she was cranky if she was woken up roughly.
Bosco decided to sleep too- After all, she had work in the morning. She put her face against Daya’s bicep, and let sleep take her over.
Her alarm rang at six in the morning the next day. Slowly blinking to consciousness, she felt a weight against her. Daya’s limbs tangled in hers, her long legs wrapped around her own, her head buried in her tits even though Daya was taller, and more gangly, than her.
She slowly and carefully extracted herself from the mess of limbs, turned off the alarm, kissed Daya on her head and got up to make breakfast. Usually, the two got up at the same time, but Daya had had a long day yesterday, so why not give her a few more minutes of blissful sleep?
Bosco and Daya had gone down the stereotypical lesbian route when it came to their relationship. They had moved in together after 2 months of dating, when Bosco’s lease had ended, and Daya had suggested that ‘It would be easier if you just moved in with me, no? I love having you around, and you spend most of your time here anyways.’ Bosco hadn’t even really given it a second thought. After making sure Daya’s apartment was big enough to fit the few things she wanted to bring with her, she quickly agreed, and arrived at Daya's apartment a week later with a few cardboard boxes as Daya gave her the spare key, with a little bat keychain attached to it.
Once in the kitchen, Bosco fed their cat, Lilly, before taking a few eggs from the refrigerator, a pan and some oil and beginning to cook. Had it been a weekend morning, she would’ve opted to make pancakes, but unfortunately, it was Tuesday morning, so she kept stirring the eggs. Once they were ready, she plated them up at their tiny table, pet the cat, and went to wake up her girlfriend.
Daya was still fast asleep when Bosco got back to their room, so she sat next to her, and leaned her face close to hers.
Shaking her lightly, Bosco tried to wake her up.
“Daya, baby, it's time to get up. We have work.” She whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Daya let out a small grumble of protest, shifting slightly, so Bosco tried again, shaking her a bit harder.
“Daya, come on.”
“Did I miss the alarm?” Daya asked, rubbing her eyes as she sat up, slowly waking up.
“Yeah, but don’t worry, I think you needed the extra sleep. Come on, I made breakfast.” Bosco smiled.
At that, Daya gave her an adorable, dopey smile. “You made breakfast? Why?” She asked, brain still fuzzy from barely waking up.
“Why wouldn’t I make breakfast for my wonderful, sleeping girlfriend?” Bosco asked sweetly. “Come on now, the eggs are getting cold.”
“I love you.” Daya said, stretching, accepting the hand Bosco offered her to get up.
“Love you too, weirdo.” Bosco answered, as they headed to the question.
They ate mostly in silence, Daya still waking up (she always took a while to do so), but she kept sending Bosco big, lovey eyes as she ate her eggs, sighing contently.
Afterwards, like everyday, they got ready together. They woke up early, which always gave them time to get ready, and they often started teasing each other. Today, Daya had decided it would be funny to start poking Bosco in the sides, making the other woman yelp every time Daya sneaked behind her and poked her.
This ended with Daya laying on the bed from the side, Bosco’s arms at her sides, pinning her there. Giving the clock on her bedside table a quick look to make sure they had time, Bosco turned back to her girlfriend, her legs straddling Daya while her hands pinned her wrists above her head to stop her from poking her.
She kissed her, and felt Daya’s wrists trying to get out of her grip.
“Promise you won’t poke me?” Bosco asked teasingly.
Daya didn’t answer, simply nodded, and let her hands go. Daya’s hands immediately went to her face to cup it and bring it back to hers so she could keep kissing her. Meanwhile, Bosco’s hands went to her sides. However, once she deemed Daya was distracted enough by their kiss, she poked her in return, pulling away to smirk evilly before sprinting to the bathroom and locking the door so Daya couldn’t get her back.
“Bosco!! How could you! I thought you loved me!” Daya whined, though she was also laughing.
Bosco smiled to herself. God, she loved Daya. She really did.
