All day, everyday, he sits by the bedside, in a white walled, silent room, kept clean by the custodial staff by word of the doctor. Other rooms don't get cleaned every day... Putting that aside, he barely leaves this room. Roberto and Jessica have come with him, Roberto brought the laptop in case Lauren wishes to speak to him. Roberto knows he likely will want to, before the end of the day.
Roberto worries about him, how he won't leave the room even to go to the bathroom. Roberto has to pull him by the arm every time, make him go...Joseph puts up a fight every time, but in the end it is always Roberto whom wins. Jessica never says anything, she just keeps near Joseph, watching him, at times leaning on him...At night, she goes with him when Roberto pulls him to the cot, curling up beside him upon it and not moving until day.
Ah, and there's the sound signifying Lauren wishes to speak. Roberto had known it wouldn't take long. He thinks it's a bit quick, but doesn't comment aloud. Ko's eyes shift to the side, to the table the laptop is set upon, then back to Roberto. The older man nods to him, gesturing that he take the call. Ko looks back to the laptop, presses a button, Lauren's face appears onscreen. "Hiraga...Are you alright? Is your brother... alright? What happened?"
Ko blinks slowly, as he only stares at Lauren a moment. Shaking his head, he says "People need to stop asking me if I am alright...Ryota is not alright...He's got breathing tubes and a monitor, for crying out loud!" Ko pants a bit after his outburst, startling when both a head leans against him and a hand rests upon his shoulder, squeezing. His own hand semi consciously finds its way up there, to the other hand, his other hand touching red hair.
Lauren had looked almost startled by the outburst, but his composure has long since returned. He doesn't speak, however, as Ko glances at him again, the young Japanese man opening his mouth to speak, seeming a bit calmer now. "I'm...not sure what happened...He just suddenly got worse, so they called me." is what Ko tells the young hacker. Lauren still remains silent a moment, before nodding. "I'm sorry..." is all he says, before glancing to Roberto and Jessica, though the latter has her eyes shut.
Lauren doesn't seem to mind that so much, however. He has fallen silent once again, just watchful of the three in the room, and the boy. Joseph seems glad enough for his presence, though Lauren is as solemn and un-talkative as usual (well, with/ in front of anyone other than Joseph). Jessica opens her eyes, looking up at Joseph. He smiles a bit, looking down at her, hugging her close a moment then releases her. The redhead looks to the laptop, gives a shy wave, and neither of the two men miss the slight twitch of lips from the hacker.
Jessica looks to Roberto then, and stands to walk over near him.

Jessica is the first to wake, unsure as to why she does, and when she looks over and sees Ryota smiling gently, albeit still weakly, she jumps a little then turns to Ko. "Ko! Ko, wake up! Ko!" she says, groaning and putting her hands out to shake him. Ko startles, blinking blearily a bit, seeing his brother awake. The priest gasps, sitting straight up and just staring at him. Glancing at each other, he and Jess call "Roberto!" The man, getting coffee, rushes back into the room.
Seeing the boy awake, he turns to Ko with a smile. He doesn't know how else to word it, so he says "Good for you, Hiraga." Ko smiles back, nodding at him, and instead of waiting he sends a video call request, not giving Lauren the chance to send it himself. Lauren is quick to accept it, and seeing the boy is alright now, he gives a smile, a rather small one but a smile nonetheless. The three older ones turn to the younger Hiraga, speaking to Ryota as Lauren once again watches.
No one notices the blonde haired priest around the corner, smirking to himself before moving off...

{Alright, I may despise Julia with a passion for the things he's done, but I can't deny the drug worked, and doesn't seem to have any bad or weird side effects or such}
