The Boss's Atonement.

Summary:

"The Great Lion didn't just lose his Tiger; he broke the very soul he was meant to protect. Now, after years of silence and shadows, Sand Charawat is no longer hunting for a prize. He is seeking a ghost. But Ray is no longer the shivering boy on the floor-he is a man who has learned to breathe without the scent of sandalwood. In the ruins of a love turned to ash, can a monster truly learn to be a man? Or are some scars too deep to ever truly knit back together?"

Chapter 1: Riah

Chapter Text

Author’s Note

Five years have passed for these characters, and even as I write their journey, I find myself wondering where they truly stand. I don’t know exactly what Ray is doing in the quiet of his own life, or if the storm has finally settled enough for him to ever face the Lion again. Maybe he’s let someone new in; maybe he’s found a peace I can’t yet see. But I keep hoping—I hope they both get the chance to have that one, honest conversation. It could change everything.

For Sand, I truly hope he understands by now that being a "Lion" isn't all it takes to keep a heart. Strength isn't always about power; sometimes, it’s about knowing when to stop hunting.

And then there is Rayna. I hope she learns the truth of her own story in time. I don't know exactly how everything will eventually come to light—the path isn't fully paved yet—but I am so glad you are all choosing to stick around to find out.

Now, back to your favorite crazy author! There is a lot of forgiving left to be done, and I’m at a crossroads. I’m opening the floor to you: what tricks should Ray have up his sleeve? Should he accept Sand immediately, or make him play the long game? Should he be seeing someone new, forcing Sand to fight for his place? Or should the walls just slowly crumble? Honestly, I’m as confused as you are, so tell me what you want to see—let's shape this reunion together.

Thank you for walking this road with me. Let’s see where they go from here.
