Angelus Nomine Gratia

Summary:

What Simon thinks of Doctor Ryland Grace.

Notes:

This is such a basic fic oh my god 💔

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Father made it very clear that angels didn't look like him.
With the dark hair, the black eyes, the blood on his hands face and skin, and now the scarring.
Father never said it outright; but he could put two and two together.

𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤.

But Grace-of course. Of course he was 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦-No words he could stumble through could convince him he wasn't an angel.
Clean soft porcelain skin, Gold spun hair, the eyes that cradled both the old testaments depictions of the sky and sea.
Simon read the old testament when him and one of his brothers stole a copy, leather back and sated simply on the cover "The holy bible" in gold leaf, something considered a priceless treasure. They had read it somewhere deep in the bowels of Eden where father couldn't find them.

He couldn't imagine what something so deep and blue could look like back then, but if it had looked anything like the blue in Grace's eyes; then he could understood why COI wanted so desperately to figure out what caused the silent rapture.
Because if Grace ever lost the colour in his eyes, Simon would tear the universe apart to find what took it.

Grace was an angel.

He wasn't sure of anything else.
Where he was, what happened to the SB-13, what the creature in the glass ball was.

But he was sure,
he was adamant,

That Doctor. R Grace was an angel.

Notes:

I don't have any motivation to write anything long atm, aaannnd I became obsessed with BloodyMary over night, basically.
but I hope you enjoyed :).

Happy pride, specifically to patron saints of one way trips.
