Tom and Aiden were walking down the sidewalk. The sun is shining and shops are open for business. Tom has his arm around Aiden's shoulders while they chat about something.
Suddenly, a person in their early 20s gasps. "OH MY GOD! YOU'RE TOM AND AIDEN FROM DISVENTURE CAMP!"
Aiden blinks. "Oh! Yeah, hi! That's us!" He says with a polite smile. Tom gives them a small, friendly wave.
The fan looks at the bi color haired man with stars in their eyes. "I can't believe I'm meeting THE Aiden Brooks!! You're literally my favorite contestant! Out of everyone, you're who I relate to the most. When I came out as nonbinary, people weren't too accepting of me, not even my family. But I connected with you so much because of your story about trans acceptance and I met so many amazing friends who also shared similar experiences with me. And now I'm living in an apartment with so much support and as myself!"
His expression softens. "Thank you. That means so much to me. I'm really happy and proud of you."
Tom watches the interaction with a warm smile on his face. He loves that his boyfriend is making someone feel seen like this.
They sniff. "Is it okay if I give you a hug?"
"Of course!" He opens his arms and they practically tackles him into a tight hug.
Tom just stands there awkwardly. The hug is longer than it should be and he starts feeling a little jealous that someone else is getting all of his boyfriend's attention. But he lets it happen. This fan clearly needs it and he understand the feeling of wanting to be accepted by society. And so does Aiden.
The fan pulls back, wiping happy tears away. "You're the best! I'm so glad I got to meet you and Tom! Is it also okay if I get a picture with you guys?" They pull out their phone. "My friends are gonna FREAK when I tell them I met you guys!"
"Yeah, totally!" Aiden says.
Tom nods. "Of course."
They position themselves between the two men, holding their phone up to take a selfie. They count down and snap the picture. They look at the photo and grin. "This is amazing! Thank you both so much!"
Aiden gives them one last smile. "You're welcome! Stay awesome and keep being yourself!"
"I will! Have an amazing day, you two!"
And with that, they wave and walk off excitedly to go show their friends the picture.
Tom looks at his boyfriend. "That was really nice."
The smaller man nods. "It was! They were so sweet!"
He leans down and kisses him head. He's not jealous anymore, just happy for the fan and proud of Aiden for making someone feel so validated. "I'll be honest, I was a little jealous."
Aiden giggles. "Aww, babe! You don't have to be! They were just a fan. And besides, if anyone did try to flirt with me, I'd tell them off because you're the only one I need."
"Good!" The taller man says. "Because no one is taking you away from me."
The bi color haired man giggles again. "You dork."
They share a sweet kiss before continuing their walk, hand in hand. Tom squeezes Aiden's gently, happy to have him by his side always.
