Professor Oak
"Hello future trainers. If you're hearing this, that means you've been accepted into my, Professor Oak’s, summer camp. Over the next three months you'll learn about pokemon from all over the world. How they behave, how to take care of them, how to catch them, and how to train them."
Professor Oak and Tracey
"So we hope to see you all there!!"
Split screen, pan out to see Max and Bonnie making a hand clutching fist. Bonnie's on a plane and Max a boat.
Max jumps out of his seat and runs to the front holding onto the handle. Seeing Terracotta Town in the distance. A grin the size of his face goes up his face. Another little boy with green hair and a black face mask on, slowly walks up behind him. Max pulls him forward. His (the green haired boy) pupils shrink and his eyebrows almost go off his face. Just viewing the sight. Max’s mother watches them, chuckling. While Wally’s smiles.
On the plane. Bonnie sitting next to her father looks with her face pressed almost out the window. She swings her feet uncontrollably. With Dedenne doing the same thing. Across her friend Lyn is doing the same. On the ocean there's more ships. One with three kids. Paige sitting down with her nose in a book. Thomas is sitting back passively, and Ran is in complete shade. On another ship Austin and Wayne standing tall with their arms crossed. In the air one plane has two more kids. Mick's eye bursting out and his hand waving out with soda down his chin, and Sean is embarrassed to see it. On another plane are three kids. Harper and Sarah have huge smiles on their faces, but their father cuddles them, because he's scared of planes. Mimo is sleeping on her father's shoulder. Another plane Kayleigh is half awake watching a movie, and Jake is writing in a notebook. On the ground a car is driving 4 kids. Parker, Issac, Zackie, and Tony. All 4 are asleep, and all have drool on their faces but Issac.
Max's boat, along with the other 2 ships dock at the same time. Max, still at the front of the boat, watches the rail come out. When it goes down he jumps down immediately. Touching the ground in the blink of an eye.
Max
"ALRIGHT, first here!!"
Ran
"Ohh. Really. Get your glasses checked! I was first!"
Max
"Really I got here right when my ship landed."
Ran
"I got here before my boat landed."
Max
"No wait. I, I ugh, got here before my boat left!"
Ran
"Yeah well I.I.I I.I.."
Caroline Officer Jenny
"Max!" "Ran!"
Max and Ran
"HI mom."
Caroline
"Max. I know you're excited about camp, but you can't just run off like that."
Officer Jenny
"You to Ran."
Wendy
"Please! You know Wally can’t keep up like that."
Wally
"It..it.it’s.t's” Wally uses his inhaler “It’s fine mom."
Max
"He. Sorry. So I'll take it, you kids are here for the Professor camp as well."
Austin
"Correct my fellow campers. Now which is the way to the motorized vehicle that goes on the route to 4197 Pallet Town."
Everyone stares blankly
Chrysa
"Aww, is that my cue?"
Meanwhile at the airport.
Meyer
"NOW, now honey I get you're excited. But.."
Lena
"LYN calm down!"
Lyn
"This pokemon’s the cutest. Aww no this one is. HUHH! This one is beyond cute."
Bonnie
"Would one of you please take care of my brother!? He's a super strong and smart gym leader, but as I'll be away at summer camp he'll need someone to look after him."
Dedenne
“De Ne ne.”
Meyer picks up Bonnie.
Bonnie and her father smile at each other.
Meyer
"We hope you'll consider"
He turns to Bonnie
Meyer
"Look I know your brother's shy, but you don't have to tell everyone like that. That's my job. He turns his head. Would you be interested in a date with my boy?"
Lena
"Ughhhh"
Harper and Sarah
"I'll be the first one to camp."
Marlin
"Wait,tt you two." He covers his mouth from throwing up.
Mimo appears next to everyone
Mimo
"Is this going to be the whole summer?"
Every does an embarrassing laugh looking at each other
Mimo
"Alright?.. I love it already!"
Ren
"Sooo? That makes my job easier."
Now they're all the way to Pallet Town. Max reading a book thicker than his head, Bonnie looking out the window and pointing at every new pokemon.
In the car with all four boys talking on the way.
The sun is high in the sky when the buses pull up to Pallet Town.
Cut
Chrysa
"OK. First one off.."
Max and Ran run off the bus before she finishes.
Max and Ran
"OK this time I was definitely first!"
Chrysa
"Ohh, you were were you?
Max and Ran
"Yeah!"
Chrysa
"Well then, lucky for both of you. The first one off gets to hand out everyone's luggage."
Max and Ran
"WHHAAAT!?"
Everyone laughs.
Max
"Aww man."
Ran
"Yes."
Max looks at her confused
Ran
"Yeah, control over other people's stuff."
Max
"Well that's one way to see it."
Chrysa
"Come on you two, these bags aren't going to organize themselves."
Max and Ran walk back onto the bus
Cut
Max
"And there. Last one."
Wendy
"Thank you Max."
Max
"Finally, now let's get to camp."
Max jumps off the bus. Seeing Professor Oak's lab above and the campers all around him. He takes his suitcase's down and looks around. He pauses and looks into the distance.
Max
"HEY Tracey."
Tracey
"Max. Long time no see."
Caroline
"HUGH? Does my Max know you?"
Max
"Yeah mom this is Tracey. Professor Oak's assistant."
Tracey
"Aw come on Max I can introduce myself."
Max
"Hehe. Sorry I thought everyone here already knew."
Jake
"Wait…. Max. Tracey. Bonnie. NOWAY!!"
Max
"Wait Bonnie?"
Bonnie
"Huhh. You know our names?"
Thomas
"Everyone knows you three."
Bonnie
"Ohh really?"
Wayne
"Why of course. You all traveled with Ash Ketchum. The world champion."
Max, Tracey, and Bonnie
"Hehe. Yeah I remember."
Mimo
"No way. You two were companions with my champion."
Austin
"I must know what it was like, did you share tents with him, what’s his strongest pokemon you met, how did you meet, have you met all the other companions? OHH. Where did you travel with him?"
Bonnie
"My uggh, home region. Kalos."
Max
"And I traveled with him in both my home region Hoenn, and. Right here in Kanto."
Everybody
"WHHHHHATT!!!"
Max
"Hehe"
Wayne
"You mean you've been around the Kanto region. With the region's strongest trainer. Jealous."
Tracey
"NOW now everyone, as cool as this all is, it’s not story time. Come on, there's lots to do."
A car pulls up and kids walks out.
Zackie leans on the car, Tony's eyes turn to stars, and Issac puts his fingers up to his eyes like a camera.
Parker
"Dang. I knew we'd be the last here."
Professor Cerise
"Hey don't frown, we still got here on time."
Max
"No way!! Professor Cerise?"
Mr Cerise
"Yeah, you kids fans."
Austin
"Anyone who's been keeping up with the latest pokemon discovery is."
Wayne
"Would you sign my copy of this week's Pokemon Science News and Updates?
You're on the cover."
Professor Cerise
"Umm, yeah. Sure. Of course."
Max Austin and Wayne all hand the Professor their books.
Parker
"Hey. Looks like my daddy's a bit famous."
Wayne
"Huhh. So you're Parker Cerise then?"
Parker
"Aww shucks was it that obvious?
Wait how did you know my name"
Max
"Hmm, probably because it’s on the first page result when you look up the Professor."
Professor Cerise
"Wait what!?"
Max pulls out his phone and types in Professor Cerise name in
Max
"Yeah right here. "Kids Chloe and Parker." Also has his parents names, wife, and assistants. Even has the lab's address."
Parker
"Aww cool, I'm famous."
Max
"Well I wouldn't go that far."
Caroline
"You're one to talk.”
Professor Cerise
"Hold up, let me see that." Max hands Professor Cerise looks through it. "OK when I get home I'm going to be making a few phone calls."
Tracey
"AHHHH MMMM!!"
Everyone
"Right"
Tracey
"IF we're all paying attention. Professor Oak is in the middle of an important paper at the moment so he won't have time to see anyone yet. So in the meantime while everyone's still here I wanted to show the kids who your summer guardians will be."
Harper
"Summer guardians?"
Tracey
"Yeah. Over the summer you'll be staying with them outside of camp. So while we wait I'll have you take out your invitation and look for the kid with the matching color. They will be your summer buddy."
Everyone pulls out their indentation and walks around.
Mimo
"Ahh dark pink, does anyone have dark pink?"
Mick
"Lime green, any lime green kids."
Caroline
"Ahh Max what's your color?"
Max
"Hmm, gray. Wally what did you get?"
Wally
"Aww. Sorry Max, but I got dark red."
Max (trying not to sound disappointed)
"Aww. Hey, don't worry. We won't be far from each other."
Wally smiles back
Max walks around looking for the other gray kid.
Max shows his card to several other kids all shaking their and showing different card colors.
Soon almost everyone has found their partner but him. He looks back before seeing Bonnie. He shows her his card, and she shows him her gray card.
Both walk up and shake hands.
Bonnie
"So you're that other kid Ash traveled with. I heard about you a bit."
Max
"I heard a lot about you to. From Serena."
Bonnie
"You know Serena?!"
Max
"O Oh of course. Her and my sister are Coordinator rivals back in Hoenn."
Bonnie
"Wait. I remember watching. Serena's doing so cool. You're sister's May right?"
Max
"Yep, the Princess of Hoenn. Given her last few Grand Festival appearances, that is no understatement."
Tracey
"Alright Everyone find their buddy?"
Everyone
"Yeah."
Tracey
"OK then here's the."
Tracey struggles to pull a white board over.
Tracey
"Here's the. The. Here's who your guardians will be. Find your color and that will be your guardian."
Everyone runs up to the board looking around.
Bonnie
"Hey Max, I found gray."
Bonnie points towards the board. They see gray next to the name. Mrs. Ketchum.
Thomas
"Wow so first you two travel with the world champion, and now you get to stay at his home over the summer."
Mick
"Lucky."
Max smirks up, and Bonnie gets a smile the size of her face.
Cut to Ash's house.
Meyer
"So you must be Mrs. Ketchum."
Mr. Mime looks at them confused, pointing at his face.
Max
"Uhh Sr that's a."
Meyer
"A pokemon, yeah I was just joking."
Caroline
"Would it be OK for us to enter? Since nobody else seems to be home."
Mr Mime welcomes everyone inside. Max and Bonnie look around. While Meyer and Caroline sit down on the couch.
Caroline
"So this is where you kids will be staying? Now Max I know this is a much smaller space then back home. Are you going to be OK."
Max
"Of course. Nothing to worry about."
Caroline looks at Max with a scolding face.
Max (with a bit more fear in his eyes)
Max
"Yep I'll be fine."
Meyer
"How about you Bonnie?"
Bonnie
"Aww. He’s cleaning our shoes."
They all look over to the shoes they took off upon entering.
He hands them back shining like diamonds.
Caroline
"Oh. Why thank you. Aughh."
Max
"Mom, that's a Mr. Mime."
Caroline
"I know honey."
The door opens. Mrs Ketchum enters. With dozens of bags in her hands
Mrs. Ketchum
"Wait, you're here now?"
Bonnie
"Wait, did we get the wrong house? Sorry. We didn't mean any trouble."
Mrs. Ketchum
"Oh no. I just didn't think you'd be here for another hour. That's all."
Max
"Glad nothing bad happened."
Mrs Ketchum
"Come, make yourself at home."
Everyone sits down and talks for a bit. Caroline and Meyer both hand a piece of paper over to Mrs. Ketchum.
Mrs Ketchum
"Well that's all good to know. Mimey was going to make lunch soon if you'd like some."
Caroline
"Aww thanks I could eat."
Meyer
"Yeah why not."
Mrs Ketchum
"As for you two. Would you like to see your room for the summer?"
Max
"Would I ever."
Mrs Ketchum
"Alright, your room is upstairs."
Max looking at his suitcases.
Max
"All the way up there?"
Caroline
"Come on Max, you gotta carry them up."
Cut
Mrs Ketchum opens the door to Ash's room
Bonnie
"Wow. Cool."
Max
"Ugh da. ge da ta. Finally! Hey cool room."
Mrs Ketchum hands them a piece of paper.
Max
"Room rules."
Mrs Ketchum
"Just follow these and summer will all go well."
Max and Bonnie
"Alright. Both look around and see an air mattress and on top and soft mattress. Top bunk!"
Both rush over.
Mrs Ketchum
"Now, now." Both still compete for the top. Her face goes dark and Flames behind her. "I said now now!."
Both calm down and sit criss crossed on the top bunk.
Mrs Ketchum
"Room rule 1. I decide who gets the top bunk."
Max and Bonnie
"Yes mam."
Max
"Okkay. Hey look over there."
Everyone looks at Ash's victory shelf. Max and Bonnie climb down.
Caroline
"So which ones were you there for?"
Max points to Ash's Hoenn badges, and the frontier symbols.
Caroline
"You know I remember you having an Interesting reaction to one of those."
Max freezes in embarrassment
Bonnie
"Max what is she talking about?"
Max
"Ohh, ahh nothing. Anyway, which ones did you get to see?"
Bonnie points to Ash's Kalos gym badges.
Everyone
"Ohh cool."
Bonnie
"Fun fact. The yellow one is from my brother's gym."
Max
"Cool."
Caroline
"Funny enough one of the Hoenn badges is from our home too. The gray one was given by my husband."
Bonnie
"Cool."
Max
"Auhh. Yeah, very. Anyways, what are we going to do now?"
Bonnie
"You know we have a bit. We could just sit down and talk for a bit."
Mimey walks up stair
Mrs Ketchum
"Ahh lunch is done. Come down stairs everyone."
Everyone sits in the living room eating sandwiches.
Caroline
"Hmm. Wow, these are delicious."
Meyer (with a sandwich in his mouth)
"Yeah who would've thought a pokemon could make such great people food."
Mimey blushes
Bonnie
"So this isn't a bad place to spend a summer. What do you want to do now?"
Someone knocks on the door.
Mimey answers
Tracey
"Hey I came by to let you know that Professor Oak will be ready to meet you in just an hour."
Max
"Well that answers that question."
Max and Bonnie stand up and start to stretch.
Mrs Ketchum
"Before you two go I was wondering what you wanted for dinner. Since it is your first knight here I wanted you two to choose."
Bonnie
"Hmm. Oh. I'd love spaghetti."
Max
"I'd love Ramen. Spicy as you can make it please."
Mrs Ketchum
"Sounds great."
Max and Bonnie wave as they walk off to the lab with their parents still with them.
When they arrive all the other kids are there waiting. With there parents.
Everyone's talking.
Sean
"I can't wait to meet him."
Kaylieh
"What will he be like?"
Issac
"What will we do?"
Zackie
"How much longer?"
Tracey
"NOW, now calm down. The professor will be out any second now."
The lab door opens.
Everyone stands still and becomes silent.
Professor Oak walks out and down the stairs.
Professor Oak
"Hello. You must be the campers, and you must be their regular guardians."
Tony almost faints
Professor Oak
"Oh my. Are you ok son."
Tony
"Yeah fine."
Professor Oak
"Alrighty then, right this way."
Thomas
"Wait, aren't we going to see the inside of the Lab?"
Professor Oak
"Oh no. My lab is far too small to fit all of you at once. You also won't see many Pokemon there. Over here you'll see Pokemon from all over the world."
Kids
"Yayy."
Cut to the back of the lab.
Professor Oak
"Now back here is where trainers from Pallet town keep pokemon they've caught, but aren't currently traveling with. Like this here Bulbusaur. Belonging to none other than Ash"
Everyone
"Ohhhh"
Bulbasaur
"Bulba, bulba."
Lyn raises her hand.
Professor Oak
"Ahhh yes. You with the ribbon."
Lyn
"So wait if the Pokemon are here with you instead of their trainers do they ever get mad about it."
Professor Oak
"Why yes that can happen. But we make sure the pokemon that stay here are well kept and trained. They won't bite."
Rango
"Few. That's a relief."
Professor Oak
"Yes I'm sure. Over the summer you kids will get to see all sorts of sides of being a pokemon trainer. From how to handle emergencies, to safe ways to travel, even fun ways you and pokemon can bond."
Parent
"And this will all be safe."
Tracey
"Yep. All campers will have rules and regulations. Nobody is allowed back here or in the lab without me or Mr.Oak present. Any camper found breaking those rules will have a strike. Depending on the severity of the strike you might get sent home or just sit out for a minute."
Every kid looks at the rules with their guardians.
Professor Oak
"You got those kids. No fighting of any kind. Any form of fisticuffs is not tolerated. No wandering off from the group. Be kind. No yelling. And never try to steal. All of these are worth a strike. We'll all have a big day tomorrow so I'd like you all to come up and introduce yourselves. Tell us about your region, Maybe even why you're at camp. Hmm. How about you two.."
He says pointing to Parker and Issac
Professor Oak
"Since you're from Kanto you should be the first to talk at a Kanto Summer Camp."
Parker and Issac stand in front of the campers.
Parker
“Hello. I’m Parker Cerise if you remember. I’m from Vermilion City. I’m so honored to be here and learn so much more about pokemon. I sometimes see the ones at my dads lab, but this is a whole new way to see them.”
Issac
“Ok. I’m Issac Woods from Beige Town. At camp my goal is to see all the magic of pokemon, and there ways of interacting with the world around them.”
Everyone claps
Professor Oak
“Very good. Now how about our two guests from Johto.”
Zackie and Tony walk up
Zackie
“Well I’m Zackie Argon from Violet City. After meeting Ash himself I've been really into studying the different paths one can take as a trainer. So at this camp I want to learn more about them all.”
Tony
“I’m Tony Hostas from Olivine City. My family moved to Johto a little while ago, so making new friends has been a bit difficult. So I just want this summer to be nothing but fun and adventures.”
Everyone claps in unison.
Professor Oak
“Hmm. Hoenn boys you’re next.”
Max
“Alright.”
Max and Wally walk up
Max
“I came because at Professor.Oak’s summer camp you can learn so much from him and the pokemon here. More than the books or his T.V. specials. I just don’t know where to start. How could anyone say no. Also I’m Max Maple from Petalburg city. Petalburg Gym to be exact.”
someone
“Ohh, wow, son of a gym leader.”
Wally
“H. HI. Hi everyone. I’m Wally. Wally Corundum. Also from Petalburg City. Before anyone asks, the mask is just to help me breathe better. The doctors said that I needed to get out of my home city for a while and Max recommended we could go to this camp together. I’m excited and honored to learn about the world of Pokemon with all of you.”
Everyone
“Aww.”
Max and Wally go sit back down
Professor Oak
“Wally the honor’s all our’s. Next will be our guest ftom Sinnoh.”
All three kids walk up, with Max and Ran sharing a fierce look.
Paige
“Hello. My name is Paige Joy from Yuriko Valley. I can’t wait to see all the pokemon here with you. I’m here to learn all about all the ways you can take care of these little creatures.”
Thomas
“So yeah I’m Thomas Fir from Valor Lakefront. I think pokemon are a cool subject. What else do you need to know? Thanks for having me."
Ran
“Thank you Tom. Now I’m Ran Jenny from Eterna City. Here to see what all the pokemon from around the world are like, and how trainers train them.”
Everyone awkwardly laughs
They go to sit back down and everyone laughs again.
Professor Oak
“Very good. Our next appearance will be from Unova.”
Mick and Sean walk up
Mick
“Hi I’m Mick Willow from Greenwich City. This is so cool. Not many Pokemon from other regions live in Unova, so this is so, so, so cool to see.”
Sean
“And I’m Sean Chrysanthemum . Also from Greenwich city. Having been top of my class this year I figured I’d visit Kanto to push my knowledge a little further.”
Everyone Claps
Professor Oak
“Well that’s all great to know. Next up we have the campers from Kalos’
Both girls dart up.
Bonnie
“Hello. I’m Bonnie Catatumbo from Lumiose city. I’m just so excited to see all the pokemon. Oh wait, if anyone wants to know my brothers an inventor and the Lumiose gym leader. Here’s one of his pokemon Dedenne. If any ladies want to watch him over the summer, he’s available.”
Lyn
“Now I’m Lyn Grimm from Laverre City. I’m just here to see all the cool super cute pokemon.”
Everyone claps again
Professor Oak
“Very good, now say hello to Alola. It’s your turn.”
Harper does a back flip towards the front.
Harper
“High yaaa. I am Harper Bermuda from Melemele Island. I thank you for having me, but as a ninja I can't reveal too much.”
Sarah
“And I’m Sarsh Bermuda, also from Melemele Island. We both came here to see the big world daddy is always talking about.”
Mimo
“Hi, I’m Mimo Dravaza from Akala Island. Going to camp to get away from home. I get to meet people and go places I never could before. I’m just so excited.”
Everyone claps again.
Professor Oak
“Very Good. Galar team you’re next.”
Kayleigh and Jake walk up.
Jake
“Hello I’m Jake Berrie from Furlong town. I’m an artist and hope to DRAw on lots of skills I learn over the Summer.”
Kayleigh (Almost singing)
“And I’m Kayleigh, Vine, from Spikemuth town. I just can’t wait to see the new pokemon this summer.”
Everyone claps (Their hands are tired)
Professor Oak
“Last but not least we have our Paldea intros.”
They walk up
Austin
“Hello. We are Wayne Monica and Austin Javik. both from Cabo town.”
Wayne
“We have been studying pokemon all our lives and are honored to be taught by the world's foremost expert on Pokemon.”
Wayne and Austin walk back and sit down.
The Professor and Tracey walk up.
Professor Oak
“Wow. Quite the cast we have this Summer. Now I’m sure you all know us. As head's of the camp we can’t wait to see you all grow up over the coming months, but all good things must wait. It’s getting a bit late so I think we're done for the day.”
Kids
Awwwww
Tracey
“Now don’t worry, we have a big day planned tomorrow.”
Kids
“Yayyyyy.”
All the kids walk off holding the hand of their parents.
Back at Ash’s house.
Max
“So I guess this is goodbye.”
Caroline
“I promised myself I wouldn’t cry. I promised…”
Meyer (crying while holding Bonnie)
“I’ll miss you so MUCCccch.”
Bonnie
“I’ll miss you too daddy.”
Caroline reaches out and hugs Max.
Caroline
“I’ll miss you too.”
Max wants to both escape but also give his mom a hug.
Caroline and Meyer both back away.
Meyer
“Well you two take care.”
Caroline
“Make sure to call.”
Max and Bonnie nod.
Dedenne goes to Meyer. They say goodbye with their eyes.
Caroline and Meyer exit. Max and Bonnie look down.
Max and Bonnie walk into the kitchen and see a huge wave of spaghetti and ramen.
Mrs. Ketchum
“Hey kids. Dinner’s ready.”
Mrs. Ketchum
“Me and Mimey made plenty for everyone so dig in.”
Max and Bonnie
“Alright.”
Both grab the biggest serving they can and just dig in. Before a second has passed Max breathes fire.
Max (with a burnt tongue)
“What the?”
Bonnie
“Woah cool.”
Mrs. Ketchum
“You said you wanted your ramen to be as spicy as possible. So me and Mimey made Tamato Berry ramen. Hope it’s not too hot.”
Max
“Are you kidding me? This is nothing.”
He says as his face turns red from another bite.
Bonnie
“Hey, I've heard of these before. I remember this one time a singer had to cancel a performance after eating just one.”
Max breathes fire again
Max
“Oh yeah. Well in that case I’ll just have to eat all of it.”
After dinner Max and Bonnie brush their teeth, and get ready for bed.
Max walks out of the upstairs bedroom with his PJ’s, a tank top with shorts. While Bonnie walks out of the downstairs bedroom with hers, a Tyrantrum suit. Both looked confused as to what the other is wearing.
Max
“Soooooo.”
Bonnie
“Yeaahhhh.”
Both
“Who gets the top bunk?”
Mrs. Ketchum
“Max.”
Max
“Alright, yes!”
Bonnie
“Awwww.”
Both go up to bed looking to the sky. Awaiting what's next to come this summer.
Shot of a field of grass. A dark figure darts by. It stops in the middle. Crouching down in the biggest pieces. It pulls out a device and puts a voice filter in front of its mouth. The figure is the size of a child.
K-162
“This is K-162. Mission update.”
Brodie appears
K-162
“Rookidee has landed. Repeat Rookidee has landed.”
Brodie
“Good. Very Good. Now your chores begin. Your first one is to get my ditto all the toys from daycare. Make sure you say where you got them from.”
K-162
“Understood sir.”
Agent K162 looks out at pallet town, and darts into the night.
