Work Text:
Sunwing held up a gold bow at Starscream, flying up to the little stool in the bathroom. He expertly attached it atop her little helm, smiling as she beamed.
She chirped happily, grabbing at the air. Her optics begged silently with a single request. Starscream complied.
He scooped up his little princess, and tucked her against his hip. Pressing a kiss to her helm, he was careful to avoid the silky bow he’d just placed on her.
“Come, let’s go surprise carrier.” He told her.
Sunwing chirped happily, lighting up when she heard the name, ‘carrier.’ A happy trill echoed the room, voicing her joy.
Turning a corner, Starscream ducked into the nursery. There was a security code at the door, but his CNA and Skyfire’s were always scanned automatically. Two more sets of optics looked up at him as he walked in.
Sunwing chirped and beeped from his arms, wriggling as she made grabby servos at her siblings. Starscream set her down as she booked it to the play mat the other two sparklings were. They welcomed her with twittering, trills, and happy wing flutters.
“They’ve been all cleaned up for the morning, my lord.” A maid said as she came up next to him. Giving a quick bow, she went back to folding the blankets on the cribs. “And they’re eager to see Lord Skyfire. A Happy Carrier’s Day to him.” She smiled.
Starscream nodded. “I’ll pass along the message. You’ve done well, good work.”
The maid beamed. “Thank you, my lord.”
“Riri?”
Statscream looked down as he felt a small servo paw at his shins. “Sisi? Riri? Riri where?”
“Riri’s still in recharge, my star.” Starscream told her. He held a servo out and the maid quickly placed a halter in his servos. Starscream strapped it to his chassis and placed each sparkling in their designated slot.
The maid smiled as she watched the most terrifying seeker in all of Vos pat each sparkling before taking off, flying smoothly out the door. The sparklings were all shrieking happily, kicking their little peds and servos as he flew off, presumably to his chambers where his conjunx was.
She went back to her task. If she knew Lord Starscream, he’d be back this night cycle with the sparklings before going back to be with Lord Skyfire. “Young love,” she chuckled, having an inkling to what they’d be up to later.

Beep?
Skyfire cracked an optic open, immediately to be met with a crimson one.
“Riri?”
Smiling sleepily, Skyfire reached a servo up to hold his sparkling close. “And how did you get there, my spark?”
His voice was still thick with recharge as his processor slowly came fully online. Cirrus, his oldest, trilled happily and nuzzled against his chassis. She strained her little servos up, reaching towards the sky. Skyfire granted her request, and soon small servos rested on his buccal plates. Cirrus beeped happily, pressing her forehelm against his.
“Riri.” She purred happily, little wings fluttering happily behind her.
Skyfire smiled and pressed a kiss against her forehelm, before tucking her next to his chassis safely in his arms. He looked up and smiled at the site before him.
Starscream was fixing Sunwing’s bow, optics furrowed with the utmost concentration as Sunwing squeaked unhappily whenever he adjusted it incorrectly. He moved it to the left a little before going right back to where it was before after she whined loudly.
“It was just here-Sunny, look.” He sighed when she humphed and crossed her servos angrily. “Absolutely not, we’re not having this. Here, show me.”
Sunwing pouted and arranged the bow in exactly the same place he’d had it two kliks ago. She beamed, staring at herself, and turned her helm this way and that, admiring her work.
Skyfire was chuckling at the entire scene as Starscream came over to him. “I had the fra-“
“Language.” Skyfire corrected while pulling him in for a kiss.
Starscream cupped his helm and pulled him closer, kissing him back deeply. Skyfire melted into the kiss, optics fluttering shut as he reached his free servo and looped it around his seeker’s neck.
“You were saying?” Skyfire asked, breathlessly, as they pulled back.
“I was saying,” Starscream carcasses the side of his face tenderly, “what a wonderful, beautiful, sexy, and magnificent mech you are.”
Cirrus made a face as Skyfire blushed at the compliments. Even after being conjunxed to Starscream for so long, his words always went straight to his spark.
“Ah ah, don’t hide.” Starscream tutted as Skyfire tried to turn away. “We don’t hide from the truth, do we, Cirrus?”
Cirrus beeped indifferently.
Skyfire snorted and glanced down. “Oh, Star, grab Sunwing and Dawn and bring them here. I forgot they need to be fed.”
Starscream reached up to steal another kiss before grabbing Sunwing from her mirror and scooping Dawn from the sheets. The third sparkling had curled up at Skyfire’s feet, clutching the sheets closely as she dozed happily.
Skyfire held out a servo and brought a very disgruntled Dawn to his chassis, where she blearily was handed an energon line and began to suckle on it. Cirrus slurped hers up, prompting Skyfire to wipe her mouth every few seconds much to Cirrus’ dismay. Starscream held up a cube of sparkling grade energon towards Sunwing.
Occasionally he had leaky lines, and would fill whatever excess energon into small cubes for an emergency stash in a small fridge near their birth. (Starscream would occasionally steal one whenever he had to be up at the aft crack of dawn for a meeting.)
“Mmmmm!!” Sunwing whined. “It’s the same thing!” Starscream told her. “Look, see?”
Skyfire sighed. “Star, that’s for the sparklings.”
“For Primus’ sake,” he groaned. “Sunny, Riri or cube?”
Sunwing’s response was immediate. “Riri! Riri” she cried, reaching her arms out. While wrangling a wayward sparkling trying to jump from his servos, Starscream waited until Skyfire finished feeding Cirrus and Dawn. Skyfire placed them in a small nest he’d made for them, covering Dawn with a blanket as she toppled over into recharge again, and took a wriggling Sunwing.
“Hello, my spark, shhhh,” Skyfire cooed. “There, here’s your tube.”
Sunwing suckled on the tube, chugging energon until she found a happy pace. Her optics drooped as she pressed closely to his chassis and cuddled close. Skyfire stroked her helm gently as his engine hummed lowly to match hers. Starscream had picked up Cirrus, who was rolling around at the shuttle’s feet, and was cleaning off her intake with a damp cloth. She made a low beep and Starscream immediately placed her over his shoulder, patting her back until a loud burp came out.
Skyfire grinned as Starscream sighed in relief. “That’s got to be a new record.” He told the seeker as Starscream dabbed Cirrus’ intake again.
“Excuse you.” Starscream told his wriggly sparkling. “Yes, yes, uppies. I know.”
Cirrus clapped her servos happily and shrieked as Starscream threw her in the air a few times. He’d fly up and catch her, twirling her around to let the wind kiss her face. Skyfire watched them happily, a smile so wide it threatened to leave his face entirely. Just years ago he thought he’d be stuck in misery for the rest of his life, and now here he was, surrounded by a mech who loved him enough to be his conjunx and help create three sparklings with him.
His optics followed his conjunx as Starscream landed, catching his gaze. His wings fluttered happily at the attention and he gave Skyfire a look. “Isn’t Riri the most gorgeous mech on all of Cybertron?” He asked Cirrus.
Cirrus blinked at him and chirped.
Starscream nodded. “Agreed. And to thank Riri for being such an amazing carrier,” he snapped his servos and the door opened. A valet ran in with a vase full of twinkling flowers in varying hues of white, red, blue, and yellow. Behind him, another valet scurried over with a tray filled with various silver domed plates. Setting the floral arrangement on one of the berth side tables, the valets worked quickly to remove the lids and quickly place Skyfire’s favorite energon meals on a breakfast tray. Arranging it elegantly with a small blue and white crystal tulip with red tips, a cube of energon was placed next to it.
“Happy Carrier’s Day, Lord Skyfire.” The valets smiled as they set the tray down for the shuttle. Starscream watched them like a hawk as the valets made sure to be careful of not bumping Dawn, who’d rolled in her sleep.
Skyfire smiled at them. “Thank you, mechs. This looks lovely. Doesn’t it?” He asked Sunwing, who’d finished feeding a while ago and was more pleasant with a full tank. She chirped in agreement, leaning over to look at the energon display.
One of the valets held up a tray for Starscream. “Where would you like this, my lord?”
Starscream directed him to place it on another table before they bowed and filed out, closing the door smartly behind them.
Sunwing started babbling as she leaned forward, reaching for the energon on the tray. Skyfire gently pulled her back with a soft chuckle. “My spark, you just had breakfast, did you not?”
Sunwing twittered in protest.
Skyfire simply hummed and began to rock her, gently getting up. Making his way to the adjacent room they had made just for the sparklings, he opened the door. Still humming, Skyfire made sure the curtains were drawn before he slowly lowered his sleepy sparkling into one of the cribs in the room. He drew a mesh blanket over her, stroking her helm gently as her optics drooped. Her little servos clenched and unclenched, and her wings fluttered, before she drifted off to sleep.
Skyfire kept stroking her little helm gently as Starscream brought in the other two and tucked them in. Dawn was already falling halfway into the crib, so all the seeker did was tuck her in and press a quick kiss to her helm before doing the same to Cirrus. (Skyfire took a quick moment to scoop her up and give her a sweet kiss, eliciting a sleepy coo from her, as she nuzzled his nose before he put her down.)
“They’re so beautiful.” Skyfire whispered, leaning into his conjunx as an arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him close. “We did so good, Star.”
“Of course we did.” Starscream murmured back. “They have my superior coding-there was no doubt they’d come out as anything lesser.”
Skyfire just chuckled and leaned in to capture his derma for a sweet kiss. Starscream leaned into it, grabbing his shoulders and pulling him down into the kiss. He nipped at Skyfire’s derma, eliciting a soft sound before the seeker pulled back with a satisfied grin.
“Careful, can’t wake the femmes up.” He lightly scolded the shuttle, wagging a digit as Skyfire just rolled his optics at him.
“Mmmhmm, I’m not the one who woke up Dawn from her nap.” Skyfire chided as Starscream grimaced.
“That was ONE time.” He protested while leading Skyfire back to berth. “And it wasn’t even my fault!”
Skyfire’s shoulders shook with mirth as he listened to his conjunx explain that it was most certainly not his fault, pinning the blame on Skywarp. He closed the door to the sparkling’s room and just watched his seeker fondly.
Starscream paused ranting, and looked up at him. “What?”
“I love you.”
Smiling, the seeker surged forward. Skyfire caught him as he peppered his face with kisses, before the seeker pulled back.
Starscream hopped down and tugged at his conjunx’s servo. A familiar glint in his optics shone as a playful grin grew on his derma. “Come, I have something for you~”
Skyfire made sure their femmes were sleeping soundly before he allowed Starscream to tug him back to berth.

BEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!
Skyfire bolted up at the shrill scream. Starscream, who’d been curled by his chassis, tumbled off with a confused squawk.
“I-“
Starscream crawled back up and shoved him back into the berth. He placed a digit on Skyfire’s derma, shushing him. “Shhhh, she can hear movement.”
“Star, she’s crying.” Skyfire hissed back.
“That’s the before bed cry. Give it a few kliks, she’ll be fine.”
“The what!? W-hold on, why are we whispering?”
“Oh because I love the sound of it-because it’s to keep our voices low so they don’t hear us and start crying louder!”
“Star, the children!”
Starscream moped. “They just had you five nanokliks ago, it’s my turn!”
Trying to quiet his laughter, Skyfire threw a servo over his intake as Cirrus began to yell at Sunwing. They waited for a few kliks until Dawn started to whine. The moment was gone as both their HUD’s pinged with dozens of updates from all three of their sparklings.
Starscream let out a groan, and pressed his helm against Skyfire’s chassis.
The seeker slid off his conjunx’s frame, but not before he’d shimmied up and whispered something into Skyfire’s audial that had the shuttle turning a lovely deep blue.
“Tonight.” Starscream promised as he blew his shuttle a kiss before Cirrus screamed and Sunwing howled.
Following his conjunx to the adjacent room, he couldn’t help but smile as three sets of optics looked up at him. Six tiny servos reached up and Skyfire carefully picked up Dawn and Cirrus.
Bringing Sunwing over, Starscream wrapped an arm around his waist. “Happy Carrier’s Day, my darling.” Looking up, he caught his conjunx’s gaze. “It was good, right?” Skyfire titled his helm.
“Whatever do you mean?” Starscream’s optics flashed as his wings drooped.
“Well I only gave you breakfast in berth. And I can do that anytime.”
Skyfire chuckled, adjusting Cirrus’ servo that wandered up to his intake. “My Star, I don’t need any extravagant gifts, or flashy things. You gave me something far more precious, something that I’ll treasure for the rest of my function.”
Starscream quirked an optic ridge. Surely his shuttle hadn’t lost his processor. After all, he could’ve given him these things on any cycle. “Then what…?”
Leaning down, Skyfire held Cirrus and Dawn carefully in one arm. With his other, he cupped his seeker’s face reverently. Closing the gap between them, he kissed Starscream sweetly.
“You made me feel loved.”
Kiss.
“Treasured.”
Kiss.
“Safe.”
Kiss.
Leaning up again, he smiled. “Your actions spoke louder than any gesture could’ve, my Star. You’ve given me a legacy filled with nothing but love.”
Starscream wiped his optics. “You and your corny sentiments.” He chuckled, but in his spark, he wouldn’t have traded that for anything.
“Everything today came from the spark.” Skyfire assured him. “And that’s all I wanted.”
Turning his helm to the side so that he could kiss Skyfire’s palm, Starscream leaned into the touch. “You know I’d go to the ends of the universe for you.”
“You already have.” Skyfire murmured. “I love you, my Star.”
“And I you, my darling Sky.”
