Chapter Text
Legundo had stepped out for the first time in weeks to grab groceries because Juniper came to visit his apartment ONCE and decided he wasn't taking good enough care of himself. She now required him to send photos of him doing basic day to day things. So she sent him a list of "bare necessities" and had him on his merry way.
He was walking back, the market not being too far and him needing the exercise. His usual route was blocked off for construction, so he took the an alternative route that he usually avoided because of how high the crime rates were there. He'd be fine to go through there one time, right?
Wrong. So severely wrong. Legs was walking through an alleyway that seemed innocent enough. Untill it wasn't. A loud bang sounded through the area and he immediately snapped his head to the sound- which was right behind him. He saw two people. One holding a shotgun and the other... was leaning against the wall. He didn't need any other motivation to immediately duck behind a convenient bin.
It was too dark to actually see any blood, but he wasn't one to take chances. Thankfully, it seemed he wasn't spotted. He immediately scrambled to open his phone and text the first contact he had seen.

"And what do we have here?" A voice sounded from besides him. Legundo visibly jumped and scooted closer to the brick wall. His phone was snatched from the figure looming over him. It was too dark to tell but it seemed like they had a mask on with little whisker details on it. It was scarily unserious compared to the situation at hand.
"I- uhm-" the figure put the phone in their pocket and looked down at Legs.
"What a shame. I was hoping this would be a quick job." The figure sighed as if this were but a minor inconvenience to them.
"L-look! I was just on my way home. I didn't mean to walk in on whatever is happening but I swear I won't go to law inforcement or anything-"
The figure held out their hand. "Mhm. I mean, if you swear by it I suppose might as well make it easier on both of us."
Foolishly, Legundo took their hand and got up. What he didn't notice was the cloth in the persons other hand. He was spun around and the fabric was pressed firmly on top of his nose and mouth. He clawed at the hand to no avail, being forced to breath in whatever chemical it was soaked in. "Sorry man. Can't let you go free without the boss' approval."
His vision blurred as he finally stilled against the others chest.

When Legundo finally woke, he was almost completely out of it. Everything seemed blurry and dark- no matter how hard he tried to blink the bleariness out of his eyes. Slowly he remembered what had happened. Shoot. He hadn't even been able to send his last text to Juniper. She had no clue what happened- she was probably panicking. He didn't want her to do that.
"Look whos finally awake! Would of thought she accidentally overdosed you."
Legs' head snapped up, suddenly very aware of the rope binding his arms and legs. What he saw wasn't at all what he was expecting. A guy around his age, probably older. The most noticable thing about him was the mechanical arm he had, presumably made out of copper. To match it, he seemed to have a sort of copper mask, akin to the bottom of a knights helm. He was certainly taller than Legs, he didnt need to stand up to know.
"Now, I just have some questions for you, and depending on how you respond you'll be let go, got it?" He seemed far to happy for kidnapping someone. Legundo nodded, deciding it best to be compliant with someone who probably had a weapon on him.
"Great! What do you remember from before you passed out?"
"Well uhm." Legs fidgeted with his fingers, peeling at the skin around his nails. A nervous tic Juniper had tried to rid him of many times. "I- I was on my way back from getting groceries. The way I usually take was blocked off for c- construction and the only other route was the one that I bumped into... whatever their name is, killing someone." He wasn't gonna talk about the way he panicked and texted his sister. If they checked his phone he would have to pray the message didn't save.
"Mhm. Well, seeing as you remember all of it, I don't think im able to simply... let you go about business. Whats stopping you from going to the police?"
Shoot. Maybe he should've just lied. He only had a few seconds to dwell on it before he heard knocking on a door he hadn't of even noticed seconds ago.
"Come in!" The, what he was assuming was, boss yelled out.
The door creaked open. "Hey boss, sorry I'm late I had to deal with som-." The figure stopped and stared at Legs. Legundo did the same, but his jaw visibly dropped.
"LEGS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???"
"JUNIPER??"
"You two know each other?" The man stepped back to look at both of them.
"Right." Juniper sighed and pinched her temples. "Cobre. This is my younger brother. Legundo."
"Ah. Now im glad you got here before I had him killed."
"Wait- you were gonna what." Legundo yelped. Apparently, he wasn't important anymore because both of them ignored his exclaims. Not like he didn't really expect it, though.
"What exactly happened to initiate him getting kidnapped?"
"He saw Bubbles shoot someone."
"Shit." She turned to Legs. "I sent you to get GROCERIES. How in gods name did you-"
"Wha- its not my fault! The route I typically take was blocked off for construction! And in my defense I DID get the groceries." Legs frowned.
"Yeah yeah- whatever." She turned back to whatever his name is. Rude. "Look, is there anyway to remove him from this without him getting harmed?"
"Hm. We have strict rules, but I suppose we can come to a compromise."
