Work Text:
He deserves this.
Katsuki looks at his empty apartment, at the hole in the wall that had appeared an hour ago, at the overturn couch and broken dishes.
He sits down on the floor and wraps his arms around his knees. He deserves this, he reminds himself.
Kai hadn’t been the best boyfriend. Even Katsuki knew that. In fact, he was downright horrible. Abusive. Always putting Katsuki down. Forcing Katsuki to cover up his bruises. Leeching off Katsuki’s money while he did nothing but play video games.
Deku and Shoto kept telling him that he needed to dump the asshole. That he was better off. That he deserved someone who would love and cherish him.
Katsuki kept brushing them off and eventually, they stopped bringing it up.
How can Katsuki tell them that they’re wrong? That Katsuki does deserve this. He deserves much worse for what he did to Eijirou.
Katsuki puts his head on his knees and closes his eyes. He takes a breath in. Slowly lets it out.
All around him is the scent of his boyfriend-well, ex boyfriend.. It taunts him. Hopefully, it’ll be gone in a week. Maybe less if he gets some scent blockers he can hang up.
At least he’ll save on the makeup now. And his back won’t hurt as much anymore.
He laughs. Because he doesn’t, he’ll sob.
He knows that punishing himself this way is bad. One day, one of these Alphas are going to go too far. They’re going to push him too far, hit him a little too hard. He’s going to die.
But a large part of him doesn’t care.
Maybe he even kind of hopes that they do.
Maybe he wants them to.
Katsuki rests his head on his arms. He breathes in. He breathes out.
Outside the window, the sun begins to set.
~
Eijirou doesn’t bother looking at the person who enters the room. He’s too busy washing the blood off his hands. “Yes?”
“The body has been disposed of,” Kaminari says. He rocks back and forth on his heels, watching Eijirou. He doesn’t get close, well aware of how Eijirou gets about this stuff.
“Good.” Eijirou continues washing his hands, wanting them completely free of the filth. “Are you sure you made it look like an accident? If it comes back to Katsuki, you know what will happen.”
He doesn’t need to change his tone, just keeps talking as if they are having a normal conversation. He knows that Kaminari understands the threat.
“Of course, who do you think you’re talking to?” Kaminari sounds amused. Eijirou does not laugh, which makes Kaminari sigh. “Has anyone ever told you that you’re a buzzkill when it comes to that hero?”
Hardening goes up and down Eijirou’s arm. He turns, pinning Kaminari with his stare.
Kaminari lifts his hands. “I get it, I get it. No talking bad about Dynamight. As for your other question, yes. If anyone does any digging, they’ll find that he was cheating on his long term boyfriend. When his boyfriend broke up with him, he drank himself silly at a sketchy bar. Cameras will show him being followed by two people who take advantage of his drunkenness to rob him. Beaten up and still drunk, he accidentally wanders into oncoming traffic.”
Kaminari spreads his hands, waiting for Eijirou to give his verdict.
Eijirou’s lips curl up. “Perfect. No one will question the state he was found in.”
“Or why he looked like a dog got ahold of him.” Kaminari shakes his head. “I know why you did it, but you have to be more careful in the future.”
“It’s the least of what he deserved for touching what’s mine,” Eijirou growls darkly.
“Hey, hey, I get it. Dynamite is yours. I’m just saying, if you don’t want to get caught, maybe don’t claw chunks out of the Alphas.”
Eijirou knows that Kaminari is right. He knows that, if this had been any of his subordinates, he would have reprimanded them the same way. Their operation is too delicate for them to be losing their minds and slipping up.
But this Katsuki they’re talking about. Eijirou’s precious big brother. Eijioru’s rightful Omega. As soon as Eijirou had found out what that fucking Alpha had been doing to his brother, he had acted swiftly to dispose of him.
Damn him, he’s been too distracted with his operations. He usually keeps a better eye on Katsuki, to make sure stuff like this doesn’t happen.
Katsuki might be the best hero out there- he’s certainly Eijirou’s hero and the only one deserving of the title- but for some reason, he makes the simplest mistakes in his personal life. He always falls for assholes and dickwads, the kind of people who can’t see the treasure in their hands.
Luckily for Katsuki, his little brother is there to look out for him. To protect him. To keep him safe.
Some day, Katsuki will realize that Eijirou is the perfect mate for him.
Some day, Eijirou is going to put his mark on Katsuki’s neck.
~
Everyone tried to tell him it wasn’t his fault, but Katsuki can’t help but drown in the guilt. He knows they’re lying to him. He knows they don’t want to accept the truth. He knows they’re talking behind his back, pointing the fingers at him.
Katsuki is the reason his brother has turned into the monster known as Blood Riot.
Not directly. That goes to the asshole who killed their parents. One second, they had been a happy family of four, the next, Katsuki has to hold it together as the foster agents at the hospital explain that their parents weren’t going to make it.
It had been a villain attack. One that spiraled widely out of control for both the heroes and the villains, leaving dozens devastated.
Katsuki had blamed the villains.
Eijirou though…Eijirou had blamed the heroes.
Katsuki had no idea about his feelings till Katsuki told him that he had been accepted into UA. Eijirou had exploded on him and Katsuki could only watch, shocked, as his normally sweet and gentle brother threw things around, smashing the tv and putting his fist through the wall.
He screamed and cried and accused Katsuki of being a traitor, of defiling their memory.
Nothing Katsuki could do could calm the other down. For the first time, he had been scared of his brother.
Katsuki never believed into the stereotypes. He may be an Omega, but he was strong, stubborn, had a fiery temper, and more than willing to put an Alpha in their place.
But…for the first time, he finds himself unable…no, unwilling to use his quirk to get a riled up Alpha off of him. This was his younger brother, his sweet Eijirou. He couldn’t do that. Couldn’t hurt him.
Too busy debating how he can get out from under Eijirou, he is completely caught by surprise when lips press against his.
Katsuki stills, looking straight up in surprise as Eijirou continues to kiss him. He kisses Katsuki harder as Katsuki doesn’t respond, slack under his brother, mind whirling.
And yet, every instinct in him is desperate to kiss back. To open his mouth. Alpha, his Omega croons. My Alpha.
And then Katsuki comes back to himself. This is his brother, he realizes. His younger brother that he just had a fight with.
Katsuki had yanked his head away, finally pushing the other away. Both of them had been panting, staring at each other.
And then Eijirou had gotten up and run away.
It took Katsuki a couple of minutes to gather himself and finally chase after him. But by then, it had been too late. Eijirou was gone.
And that was the last time Katsuki saw Eijirou Bakugou.
The guilt had eaten Katsuki up for weeks. He had lost his parents and now his brother. And it was all his fault.
Honesty, if it weren’t for Deku and Half-n-Half, both who saw Katsuki spiraling into a deep depression, Katsuki isn’t sure that he would still be here today. They yanked him up, kicking and screaming, and made him find something to live for.
That something being finding Eijirou and bringing him home.
It had consumed him for years. Every spare moment he wasn’t training, he was searching for him, hoping to find him. Hoping that Eijirou will come home on his own. Praying to every deity out there that Eijirou is alive and healthy.
Maybe Katsuki should have questioned how Eijirou could disappear so fast. Maybe he should have questioned why he could never find a trace of the other.
Maybe he should have been asking Eijirou who he was hanging out with at school, while Katsuki worked to keep them afloat.
But he didn’t. He couldn’t. And now he’s paying for it.
The day Katsuki stepped out during his internship, taking an internship with Deku and Shoto at Endeavor’s place, is the day he finally finds his little brother. But instead of it being a happy reunion, it ended with Katsuki being forced to watch as his brother, his sweet baby brother, stepped out onto the street, declaring himself a villain.
Yes, Katsuki had been forced to watch as Eijirou tore through buildings and threw cars and terrorized the public. He saw how he threw heroes around, uncaring about who he hurt.
He had grown, much faster than Katsuki thought he would. In fact, he was even taller than Katsuki, and had started to gain muscles. It made hitting him feel like punching a boulder.
On that fateful day, their eyes had met. Katsuki couldn’t see anything but his baby brother, the one he helped raise. The one he drove off.
Eijirou had sneered at him and then threw part of a building at him. Luckily, Katsuki had dodged it, only be grabbed by hardened hands around his throat and lifted into the air. He had struggled against the other, but all his palms would do is sparkle harmlessly.
He was looking into his brother’s eyes. What could he do?
“Do you see me now?” Eijirou had asked, surprising Katsuki. His voice was lower. Up close, he can see a scar above Eijirou’s eye. The Alpha squeezes his hand around Katsuki’s throat. “Are you looking at me, brother?”
Katsuki isn’t sure what would have happened if Deku hadn’t kicked Eijirou in the back of the head, forcing the Alpha to drop him. Would Eijirou have killed him, right then and there?
What scared Katsuki the most was that he didn’t know. He didn’t know at all.
Eijirou was soon run off by Deku and Shoto. Katsuki was powerless to do anything but watch him run away. Again.
His brother. A villain.
Katsuki had spent the rest of the day in a daze, barely responding to anyone. Deku and Shoto kept trying to reassure him, but Katsuki couldn’t pay attention to them.
He had gone to sleep that night, worried and upset and hating himself even more.
He woke up to a heavy weight on his chest and hands around his throat. “If you make one wrong move,” Eijirou says, “I’ll kill you.”
Katsuki couldn’t do anything anyways. Months, he’s gone without seeing Eijirou. Worried for his safely, worried that he would one day find him dead. And now, he’s seen him, twice in one day.
It’s giving him whiplash.
Eijirou had leaned closer, till their noses had almost touched. He had stared into Katsuki’s eyes, looking him over. Katsuki had done the same. His hand had moved, before he thought about it. Eijirou had tensed, his hands squeezing more around Katsuki’s throat.
Katsuki lightly touched the scar above his eyes. “I’m sorry,” he gurgled out.
Eijirou had relaxed at that. For a split second, his sweet shy brother was back. “It’s not your fault. I got into a fight and didn’t harden in time.”
“Are you ok?” It’s the burning question Katsuki had been wondering. The fact that Eijirou had debuted as a villain earlier doesn’t matter to him.
He wants to know how his brother is doing.
Eijirou stares down at him. “I’m ok,” he whispers. His voice gets stronger. “I’m better than ok. I’m great. I’m free, Katsuki.” His face darkens. “I can’t believe you actually went and joined them. After what they did?”
“The heroes were just helping. They were doing their job.”
“The destruction they caused killed our parents!”
Finally, annoyance squirms past the relief at seeing Eijirou. Katsuki scowls. “You joined the villains, they also caused the destruction that killed our parents. Why is that ok?” He shoves at Eijirou.
Eijirou doesn’t move. He narrows his eyes. His hands stay around Katsuki’s throat. “Shigarki told me the truth. That Heroes are paid to cause more damage to the city so that the Commission can get rid of neighborhoods or shops they don’t want around any more. Heroes aren’t the good guys. They’re the one keeping us down.”
“Who the fuck is Shigaraki and what does he know? Everything I’ve been taught is about minimizing damage to the city.” Katsuki scowls harder. “I should know, they constantly remind me about it.”
“That’s another thing he said! How can you be ok with everyone demonizing you, just for your quirk?” White hot rage flashes across Eijirou’s face. “I hear them talking about you. They don’t know you. Not like I do.”
Eijirou’s hands soften and he pets a finger down Katsuki’s cheek. “I can’t stand it. They say such mean things about you and all I want to do is tear their throats out.”
“You shouldn’t,” Katsuki says, horrified his brother can say it so casually. “I can handle some words.”
“But you shouldn’t have to.” Eijirou pauses, searching Katsuki’s face again. “Katsuki…please. At least come talk to Shigaraki. Hear what he has to say. For me?”
And honestly? Katsuki had considered it. For a good few seconds, he had considered it. This is Eijirou who is asking. Eijirou wouldn’t have turned to the bad side unless it was for a good reason…right? Whatever Shigaraki has to say must be good.
And then Katsuki had shook his head. Because no matter how good of a story it was, Katsuki knew there was no good reason to become a villain. He’s seen what they’ve done to his classmates. To his teachers, to Aizawa, who now only has one leg.
To his parents, who are long gone.
Eijirou’s face had twisted in anger. His hands had tightened around Katsuki’s throat. For a split second, Katsuki thinks the Alpha is going to choke him out.
He would have allowed it. He had closed his eyes and pressed back, surrendering.
And then, once again, lips are on his. He remembers them, from months ago, when they had first touched his. Shamefully, he had thought about those lips during the night.
Sometimes he would even touch himself to the thought. The guilt always sets in right behind the orgasm.
This time, the kiss is soft. Almost pleading.
And so Katsuki lets himself kiss back, believing it will be the last time he ever sees his brother.
~
It’s not the last time Katsuki sees Eijirou.
As Katsuki gains fame as Dynamight, quickly making his way up the Hero charts, Eijirou too makes his name known.
As Blood Riot, one of the most feared villains out there.
His brother had doubled down on being a villain. And not just any villain. One that causes mass destruction, that strikes the fear into everyone’s hearts. No one can stand against him, certainly not any hero, and live.
Except Katsuki. And what a fucking arrow to the heart that was, that the only one who has any chance of bringing Blood Riot down, is the one person unwilling to hurt him. Not even the Commission hounding him about Katsuki needing to do his duty can get him to budge.
Someone has to bring in Blood Riot, but it can not be Katsuki.
It’s Katsuki’s fault that he became a villain. How can he also be the reason Eijirou ends up in prison?
Driven by his guilt and need to punish himself, Katsuki can’t help but to use sex to drown everything out. Which is how he ends up bouncing from relationship to relationship. All of them bad.
All of them hurt him. Either physically or mentally. They hit him. They leave him black and blue. They tell him he’s an asshole and he doesn’t deserve love.
It’s true. It’s all true. No matter what Deku and Shoto say, he deserves this, he deserves this, he deserves this.
Katsuki ends up crying himself to sleep that night.
~
Eijirou gently picks his brother up. He doesn’t feel the strain at all and frowns. He hopes Katsuki hasn’t been skipping meals again.
He maneuvers around piled up trash and dirty laundry, nose wrinkling at the dirty dishes that sit on the table, flies buzzing around the leftover food. If it’s bothering him, he knows that it must be driving Katsuki crazy.
He should have taken his time killing the bastard. The shitty Alpha didn’t deserve the quick death Eijirou gave him.
He sets Katsuki down on his bed, running the back of his hand against Katsuki’s cheek. He looks so vulnerable like this. His scent is drenched in sadness. He’s not sure when’s the last time he smelled his brother without the hint of sadness.
Probably when they first kissed. For a second, his brother had smelled warm and happy and soft. The kind of smell that had his Alpha, as inexperienced as it was, wanting to burrow its way beneath his skin and stay there forever.
That was, before Katsuki had pushed him away. His Alpha had taken the rejection hard, and before he realized, he had run away from home.
Eijirou shakes his head, focusing on the here and now. He had made mistakes when he was younger. Pushed too hard and too fast.
It’s why he’s taking his time now. Why, even with Katsuki passed out, so vulnerable, his neck exposed, his scent gland right there for the taking-
No. He can’t. He needs Katsuki to accept it.
He needs Katsuki to want it.
Eijirou sighs. He tucks his brother in, wiping his hair out of his face. “Soon.” He bends down to kiss Katsuki’s forehead.
“Soon, you will be mine.”
~
“Is it wrong to say that I’m glad he’s missing?”
“Shouto!” Izuku exclaims, slamming his cup down. He gives a quick look around., leaning closer to them and lowering his voice. “You can’t say that.”
Shouto raises an eyebrow, slowly slurping his noodles. “I can. He was not a pleasant person to be around. You also do not like him.”
“I-” Izuku sighs, his shoulders slumping. “Yeah, he was an asshole. But still! Someone might think you had something to do with it.” Izuku gets quiet for a second before giving Shouto a considering look. “...did you have something to do with it?”
“Of course not.”
“Oh that’s good-”
“I would have asked for your help if I did.”
Izuku sighs again.
Despite the grim subject, Katsuki can’t help laughing at Izuku’s put out look.
Shouto gives Katsuki a soft smile. “I’m glad to see that you are feeling better. You should have listened to us sooner about dumping him.”
Katsuki looks away. “He dumped me, remember?”
“His loss. He was an asshole and didn’t deserve you.”
“Shouto’s right,” Izuku pipes up, bouncing back into his happy demeanor. “I wish you would let us set you up with someone. I have the perfect Alpha in mind.”
“No,” Katsuki says.
“But-”
“No. I told you guys,” Katsuki looks down at the table. “I’m fine.”
The two of them fall silent. He can see the way Izuku is looking at Shouto and vice versa. He glowers down at the table, refusing to talk. They’ve had this argument too many times.
“Kacchan,” Izuku says, hesitantly. “I…Look, Shouto and I have been talking and we think, since you refuse to listen to us, that you should join this year’s Run.”
Katsuki’s head snaps up, his eyebrows furrowing.
Runs, or Mating Runs, were once a year things. If you are not lucky enough to be arranged into a mating or find one on your own, Mating Runs were the next best thing. Plenty of people participated in them and, logically, it does make sense for the two to suggest it.
There are two problems though.
The first being that Katsuki simply thinks that his time for a Mating Run has passed. Usually, he would have participated in a Mating Run after high school and before he started his Hero career. What will people think, if they saw Pro Hero Dynamight, joining in with a bunch of barely legal adults?
The second is…does Katsuki want a mate? That’s a question that has always tripped Katsuki up. Is there anyone out there for him?
Is there anyone he would want…besides the one person he can’t have?
Disgust wars with want, making his stomach roll. He pushes his lunch away, ignoring the looks the others give me. “I got to get back to patrol,” Katsuki grunts as he gets up, grabbing his gear.
“Kacchan-”
“Katsuki-”
Deku and Shouto call out to him but Katsuki ignores them, hurrying his steps, as if he has somewhere to be.
He doesn’t. It’s been really quiet lately. He gets the feeling the villains are planning something, but he can’t figure out what and the Commission is just happy to have a bit of a break.
Katsuki should be grateful, really, after the years of being run ragged. But all he wants is a distraction from the thoughts whirling around in his head.
The distraction comes in the worst way possible when, as he passes by an alleyway, a hand reaches out and snags his uniform, dragging him into the alleyway. Katsuki sends out an explosion, one big enough that it should send the bastard flying.
When it doesn’t, when the smoke clears and he sees hardened skin, Katsuki knows he’s in trouble.
He’s pushed up against a wall, a tall warm body pressed against him. One hand wraps around his wrists, keeping them pinned against the wall. The other wraps around his throat, a thumb pressed to his pulse point.
Stroking it.
Katsuki can feel the edges of hardening. A threat to keep him quiet.
“Hello, dear brother,” Blood Riot purrs.
Katsuki does his best to glare back at him. Of course, he knows that he’s kind of fucked here. He could break free, maybe, but it would require hurting his brother. And, despite the way that Blood Riot rips through the city, causing havoc, it’s still his brother’s face that looks down at him.
It’s his brother that presses between his spread legs, lifting him up and forcing Katsuki to wrap his legs around Eijirou’s thick waist.
Riot chuckles. “It’s been so long. I’m sorry that I have been absent.”
“I don’t care,” Katsuki spits. He squirms a little. “I’ve been glad that I don’t have to deal with you.”
“Awww, is someone upset that I haven’t visited them?” Riot leans in closer, inches away from Katsuki’s face. “Don’t worry,” he whispers. “I’ll give you your attention now.”
Katsuki does try to turn his head. But honestly? He doesn’t try hard enough.
Riot’s lips press against his. While the rest of Riot is sharp and hard, his lips have always been soft. They press against him, drawing Katsuki into a long, drawn out kiss.
Like always, Katsuki looses himself. Despite Eijirou being both his brother and a villain, he has never been kissed so sweetly before. Everyone else wants it rough, wants him to fight back, wants to make him bleed.
Eijirou never has. Eijirou tries his hardest, since their first fight, to never make Katsuki bleed again.
Katsuki eventually comes back to himself, yanking his head away. He breathes hard, his heart racing as a bit of spit drips from his lips.
Riot licks his lips, before grinning down at Katsuki. His eyes greedily take in Katsuki. Katsuki glares at the ground, doing his best to not shiver under that heavy gaze.
“You can try to deny it all you want, Katsuki,” Riot says. “But you and I…we are meant to be together. I wish you would let me take care of you.” His voice drops, an edge to it. “Since it looks like no one else is.”
Katsuki does shiver at that. Luckily, Riot doesn’t seem to know about his ex or the others who have been…not so kind to him. He may hate them, but he doesn’t think they deserve whatever Riot would do to them if he found out what they’ve done to him.
Maybe it’s a good thing they all disappear after breaking up with him.
“We can’t, Riot,” Katsuki says, and at least his tone is still firm. “There are so many reasons why we can’t be together.”
“Why? Because we’re brothers,” Riot sneers. “That just proves that we are meant to be! Fate gave you to me. Remember what you promised me after our parents died?”
How can Katsuki forget? Riot always reminds him, every change he gets.
“You said you would always take care of me and protect me. That nothing will ever separate us.”
Katsuki finally finds the strength to push Riot away, using some of his explosions. Riot stumbles back as Katsuki drops to his feet. His hands spark as he bares his teeth.
And, like always when they have this fight, he spits out “That was before you decided to spit on their graves and become a villain.”
Hurt and anger flashover Riot’s face, but it’s quick to go. Riot stands up, straighter, towering over Katsuki. “I am honoring them, working to build this world to be better than when they left it. You’re the one upholding the system that allowed them to be killed and left for dead.”
Katsuki’s mouth twists down. His hands spark more. “You kill people too, right. And not all of them are people who deserve it. Innocents get caught in your rampage.”
“If you heroes were better at your job, then innocents wouldn’t be caught in the cross hairs. Shigaraki is-”
“Shigaraki is a moron who doesn’t care,” Katsuki cuts him off. He sighs, looking down, furrowing his eyebrows. Then he looks up, at Eijirou. “We’ve had this fight so many times…I don’t want to do it anymore. Won’t you come home? I can take care of you then.”
Riot’s face softens, for just a moment. “Will you let me bite you?”
Katsuki hesitates.
Riot grins. It’s somewhat sad. “That’s what I thought.” He turns, to leave the alleyway. “But don’t worry, Katsuki. I’m going to make a place for us in the new world. You’ll be my mate and I’ll never let anything hurt you.”
It’s a promise. One that makes Katsuki realize, they’re never getting out of this cycle. They’ll always be pit against each other. Katsuki panics as he sees Riot start to leave. “I’m participating in a mating run.’
Riot freezes where he stands. Katsuki isn’t sure he’s even breathing. Katsuki stares at his back for a long moment, licking his lips. “I-It’s about time. To find a mate. A good one, this time.”
Silence settles between them. Katsuki is almost afraid to blink.
Finally, Riot speaks, in a small tone. “I could be good to you.”
“You can’t, Riot. You're my brother, and I love you, but we are not meant to be together that way.” Katsuki takes a deep breath. “The next time you see me, I’m going to have someone else’s mark on my neck.”
He doesn’t even see it. Between one blink and the next, Riot smashes him against the wall, his teeth bared, inches away from Katsuki’s face.
A small part of Katsuki wishes he would just kill him. To end this hell that he’s suspended in.
“I will kill anyone who touches you.”
“You won’t,” Katsuki says. His voice trembles, just a little. “You know as well as I that if you harm my mate, especially with a new bond, you will kill me.”
Riot snarls. He lifts his hand back and slams it forward. Right against the wall, next to Katsuki’s face. Bits of it crumble around his fist, falling down to the ground with light crackles. Katsuki just blinks up at him.
They stare at each other for a long moment. Neither talk. Neither breath. Katsuki searches Riot’s face. Riot searches his.
He wonders what the other sees as his face softens. He lets Katsuki drop to the ground and stomps away, disappearing as fast as he came.
Katsuki watches him go, heart heavy. He’s sure that’s the last time he’ll see his brother.
~
Riot slams his fist against the punching bag. Then does it again. And again. It bursts against his psalm, spilling sand out on the ground.
He glares down at it. Cursing loud and angry, he kicks at it before grabbing the stupid flimsy material and throwing it in the pile that is gathering in a corner.
He walks over to grab another one of his extra punching bags and hooks it up.
Anger still tears through him. His quirk keeps spiking, up and down his arms, turning his hair into quills that shake with his fury.
Katsuki…Mated! He refuses to believe that’s what his brother wants or needs. Katsuki has been horrible at picking out boyfriends and now he wants to mate? Eijirou can only imagine what sort of asshole will hold his brother down, sink their knot in him, and mark his neck. Then the asshole will be free to beat his brother black and blue.
Katsuki is right. Whoever mates him, Eijirou can’t touch. Not without hurting Katsuki. Mating bonds are unstable things, at least at first. It’s why new mates are encouraged- and in some places, required- to take at least a week off in order to let the bond settle somewhat.
But usually it takes years for the bond to finally settle enough that no harm will come to the mate if something happens to the other.
Eijirou is not that patient. He can’t sit by, watching from the shadows as his brother lets some nobody touch him. Not when it should be Eijirou who is touching him.
His fists slams against the bag. He can feel it quiver underneath him. He seethes. Shigaraki had promised. He said that once their new world was set up, once they no longer lived under the tyranny of heroes, Katsuki and he would be free to live their lives.
Eijirou would be free to love him.
But nothing had gone to plan. Eijirou had been too late to save his brother from the Commission’s brainwashing, and every act to free them only seems to push his brother away more.
Now, it had pushed him into a Mating Run. As soon as it’s over, he’ll have a bite on his scent gland. Maybe even a pup in his womb.
Another hit and this sandbag also breaks. Eijirou places his hands on the bar, letting his head hang. He grits his teeth, a tear drop falling down his check.
He can’t cry. He can’t. He hasn’t cried since their parents died. He’s not the weak pup anymore. He needs to focus on fixing this. How can he fix this-
He blinks, another tear breaking free. Wait…wait, there might be a way.
Yes, there might finally be a way to make Katsuki his. And this time, Katsuki will not be able to escape him.
He will finally have to give into this thing that is going on between them.
~
What am I doing here?
Katsuki slinks among the crowd. Luckily, he has on an outfit he usually goes in when he doesn’t want to be recognized as a hero. A baseball cap covers his shaggy hair and he wears a giant hoodie that covers his slim frame. He was told that Omegas could not wear scent guards to the Run, which makes sense, but luckily, he has never once taken his off in public.
There’s absolutely no way for anyone to know that he's’ Pro Hero Dynamight, except for the event organizers.
There’s a pretty large crowd here. Katsuki knew that Mating Runs were popular, but he didn’t realize how many people would be here. And these were all Omegas. He hated to see the area where the Alphas are stationed.
The Mating Run is held in the biggest forest in the city. Omegas (and some Betas) are gathered in one area while Alphas (and some Betas) are put in another. The Omegas will get a 10 minute head start, where they can do whatever they want. Hide. Flee. Climb the trees or burrow into the ground. Try to run all the way to the other end of the forest. Whatever it is that they want out of the Run.
At the ten minute mark, the Alphas will be let loose. Their one goal is simple. Catch whatever Omega they want. And after that…well, the organizers turn away. This is, after all, supposed to be a way for one to sink into their instincts.
Katsuki still doesn’t know how to feel about being here. The thought of an Alpha catching him…it fills him with dread. His skin crawls at the very thought. That should be his cue to turn around and just go home.
But he can’t. He backed himself into a corner. If he doesn’t get a Mate during this run, it might encourage Eijirou to continue thinking that he should pursue Katsuki. He might even take it as Katsuki giving him permission.
Katsuki already failed him once, in saving him from becoming a villain. He can’t allow himself to fail Eijirou any more. Even if that means sacrificing the rest of his life to some Alpha he barely knows.
You could be with your real Alpha, a voice whispers in the back of his mind, but Kasuki pushes it away, like he always does.
He can’t. He won’t. Eijirou deserves so much more.
Someone with a megaphone clears their throat, getting everyone’s attention. “If you will, please line up so we can get everyone checked in. Once we do, we can get this show ont he road. Happy Mating! And may your perfect Alpha find you.”
Katsuki snorts. Yeah right. There’s no way that’s happening.
~
It was too easy to slide in among the crowd of Alphas. Eijirou keeps his growl to himself. This is why Katsuki needs him. What if there was someone who wanted to hurt him and realized he was going to be here? Would anyone have caught it??
No, big brother should be grateful that Eijirou is out here, looking out for him.
Not to mention that, for the past week, anytime he thought of another Alpha putting their mark on Katsuki’s neck had thrown him into a rage. The city should be grateful that he had plans, or else he would have gone on a rampage.
The only reason he didn’t is because they might have gotten him caught and thrown in jail. He refuses to miss this. Refuses to miss the chance to fix Katsuki’s mistake before he makes it.
The other Alphas shift and growl at each other. Some even snap their fangs. Eijirou wants to laugh at how small their teeth is. He should show them what real Alpha fangs are like. He could collect these baby fangs and present them to his new mate on a necklace.
He holds himself back. This close, he can’t allow himself to be caught.
He will get his rightful mate.
They are called up to the line, told to get ready. Riot shifts from foot to foot, restless. Ready.
Despite being towards the back of the pack, when the airhorn blows, he’s one of the first that runs into the forest.
~
Katsuki is lightly jogging. There is no one near him.
The Omegas and Betas were quick to scatter at the beginning of the run. While grouping up wasn’t against the rules, the whole point of this is get an Alpha to chase you. So besides one or two Omega couples hoping to get themselves an Alpha, most Omegas go by themselves.
Occasionally, Katsuki hears the howl of an Alpha nearby or smells one on the wind. He knows he should go towards them, should at least see if his Omega will take them as a mate, and yet…he finds himself going the opposite direction.
He justifies it as him waiting to see if the Alpha is worthy. That’s the appeal of a Run, right? See if an Alpha can chase, if they can hunt, if they can catch their prey.
So Katsuki runs.
He runs and hides, doubling back and climbing trees. Trying to hide his tracks as well as he can.
Right now, it seems either the Alphas haven't gotten this far or they’re off chasing easier prey. Katsuki lets out a little sigh.
He needs a mate. He needs to make sure that Eijirou can finally move on, prove that their fates are not intertwined. And yet, he can’t help but think of what a relief it would be if he could get through the forest without a mark on his neck.
He doesn’t know how he can handle an Alpha for life. Would he move in with them or would they move in with him? Would he be able to stand their touch? Would they want to get him pregnant?
He doesn’t know if he wants to find out.
That isn’t to say he’s actually going to just leave. He will get a mate. It’s for Eijirou. It’s all for Eijirou.
A branch snaps and Katsuki goes stiff. He whips around, eyes narrowed. He doesn’t see anyone but- he inhales.
Oh yeah. There’s an alpha nearby.
Something in the back of his brain pings. He feels like he knows this scent. Which, maybe he has. He’s rescued tons of civilians and met many more when they come to get his autographs. It wouldn’t be out of the park if one of those civilians happened to join the same Run he is doing.
Katsuki hesitates, for just a second. And then he turn the other way, and start lightly jogging. Lets see if this civilian gives chase.
Katsuki jogs for a good five minutes, ears strained to see if he can hear anything. He does not. Besides the howls and moans of far off partners, Katsuki would think he’s alone.
Except for the sensation that he’s being watched.
Every time he looks over his shoulder, every time he stops for a second to strain his ears, everything is telling him that he is alone.
But there are eyes on him, staring him down. He just knows it.
Well, running away isn’t getting anywhere. So time to…
He turns, taking a wide stance as his explosions pop in his hand. “Well you bastard. If you want me, you’re going to have to fight me.”
He half expects that to scare the person off. A lot of people tend to run from him when he starts yelling and threatening people.
But he does not hear anyone run in the opposite direction. Instead, he finally hears footsteps coming closer.
He readies himself. His Omega sits up, finally taking notice. This person wants to fight him? Maybe they are the one for him after all.
And then his heart drops and his breath catches when the person steps out from behind the tree.
It’s Riot-Eijirou. The big Alpha smiles at him, showing off his fangs. He’s wearing a hoodie, like Katuski, to hide his long black hair behind. The arms of his hoodie had been ripped off and he wears shorts, giving him room to maneuver in.
“W-What are you doing here?” Katsuki can’t look away from those dark red eyes, that stare into his.
“You said you wanted to get a mate from the mating run?” Riot spreads his hands out in front of him. His grin grows. “Well, I’m here to make you my mate.”
“Eijirou, I told you-”
“Yes, yes. You’ve told me a thousand times. But all you’ve shown me is that I’m the one who should be making the decision for both of us.” He takes a step forward.
Katsuki takes a step back.
Eijirou’s eyes narrow. “I’ve been watching you, you know. And all those Alphas you’ve been with. I know what they do to you. I know how much they hurt you. Do you think I can continue to stand back and let you hurt yourself like this?”
“It’s none of your business, Riot.” Katsuki’s voice cracks, just a little. Riot knows about the abuse? But he’s been so careful to cover it up.
“It is my business. I love you, Katsuki.” For the first time, Riot sounds hurt. Not angry and bitter, like when they have their usual fights. But sad. Desperate for Katsuki to understand him. “I love you. I will always love you. I can’t allow you to continue to hurt yourself like this.”
Katsuki pauses, just a little. Eijirou is reaching out a hand for him. He’s pleading with him.
For once, Katsuki wishes they weren’t brothers. Wishes their love wasn’t forbidden, because he knows that Eijirou is right. They are meant to be together.
But his conscience won’t allow it.
He turns on his heels and runs.
He doesn’t hear the sound of being chased, but he knows that he is. He knows that he is being followed. Knows that he’s being tracked.
He takes a sharp turn, at nearly 90 degrees, then another sharp turn. Trying to throw Eijirou off. He runs hard and fast and far, desperate to not be caught.
When he looks behind him, he sees nothing.
Katsuki slows to a stop. He does a slow circle, desperate to see a sign. He doesn’t trust that he lost Blood Riot. Eijioru doesn’t give up that easy.
He does another turn, then stills. There’s an Alpha staring at him.
It’s not Blood Riot. He’s too short, too skinny to be his brother. Katsuki doesn’t know this Alpha. He’s a complete stranger.
But the Alpha knows him. “Dynamight?” The Alpha gives him a slow look up and down. He licks his lips. Looks back up at Katsuki’s face, a slow grin spreading across his face. “I didn’t know you were running this year.”
He takes a step closer to Katsuki. Katsuki stares him down, squaring up to him. “Go away,” he says.
“Why?” The alpha says. He licks his lips again. His smile grows, showing off small fangs. “Can you imagine what everyone would say if they knew I got to mark the Dynamight?”
Katsuki’s frown turns into a scowl and he readies himself. He’s used to Alphas talking about him that way, but this time, the threat is real. There would be no consequences if the Alpha managed to get his fangs in Katsuki.
Not that Katsuki would ever allow that to happen. He might need a mate, but he wasn’t desperate enough to get with someone like this.
And with Blood Riot loose in this forest, it isn’t safe.
“I’m warning you,” Katsuki says. “Get lost.”
“Or what? You being here means you’re desperate for a mate, right.” The Alpha grinds his hips and Katsuki’s nose scrunches up. “I can give it to you real good.”
“I’m telling you, for your own good,” Katsuki says. “Leave now.”
“Or what?” The man’s smile falls off. His scent turns aggressive. He clearly doesn’t take well to being rejected. “You’re a hero. You’re not going to hurt me or I’ll report you to the Commission.”
Katsuki snarls at him, his temper flaring. He takes a step closer, determined to prove the fucker wrong, that he doesn’t care, he will not be cowled by some low life like him.
He doesn’t make it to him.
He doesn’t even get to open his mouth to warn him.
One second, the Alpha is there, taunting, still saying crude things. The next, he is gone. It takes Katsuki a second to realize that he had been flung into a tree. There’s a crack, and Katsuki doesn’t know if it’s him or the tree that makes the sound. The Alpha slumps to the ground, laying there.
Katsuki takes a step forward, his hero instincts kicking in, wanting to make sure that the guy is at least breathing.
He doesn’t get more than that step before a hand wraps around his wrist. It’s strong, squeezing Katsuki so hard Katsuki can feel his bones creaking underneath the strength. Katsuki follows the arm up, to look into angry red eyes.
“You are mine,” Eijirou snarls, towering over him. “No one else can have you.”
He pulls Katsuki into him, his arms like bars as they wrap around Katsuki’s waist. “Wether you like it or not, we’re meant to be.”
Riot leans closer to Katsuki. His face goes soft, and for a moment, he is Katsuki’s little brother again. “Just let me take care of you,” he pleads.
It’s enough to make Katsuki hesitate.
It’s enough for Eijirou to strike, sinking his teeth into Katsuki’s mating gland.
Katsuki howls, withering against the other. There’s pain at first- but then there is nothing but pleasure. It’s the pleasure of being mated, of finding an Alpha.
It’s also the pleasure of finally letting go. He doesn’t have to fight this anymore. Doesn’t have to keep protesting. Doesn’t have to pretend he doesn’t want this.
He sags with the freedom of it, with all that weight taken off his shoulder at just one bite. He sags into Eijirou’s chest, and lets himself be slowly taken to the ground.
Eijirou does not let go, not till Katsuki is fully on the ground, limbs loose and sagging. Only then does he pull back. He looks down at Katsuki.
Katsuki looks back, breathing heavy. His gaze is hazy, unseeing as the bond settles inside of him. He feels Alpha. He feels Mate. It’s a slow slide within him, spreading along his veins, filling him up like the finest feast.
He licks his lips, a slow movement. Watches as Eijirou follows along, his gaze heavy. The Alpha leans down. Katsuki leans up.
Their lips meet. Katsuki sighs. Eijirou groans, low in his throat. It’s the first time they’ve kissed each other without either of them fighting it. It starts off slow, almost sweet. Katsuki does not close his eyes and pretend this is someone else, because he doesn’t want it to be anyone else.
Not that he could anyways. Eijirou’s sharp teeth nip at his lower lip, drawing blood. The scent of Alpha- of that strong mountain he had always been chasing- is thick in his nose.
Eijirou himself pounds through his veins, as the bond stretches through him. It’s claiming him, every inch of him, and there would be no way to pretend that it’s not Eijirou who is pulling at his sweatpants and making the kiss heavier, tongue slipping in and tempting Katsuki to dance along.
Eijirou, Eijirou, Eijirou, he thinks, almost deliriously.
And then a finger swipes through the wetness between his thigh and Katsuki gasps. Eijirou devours his sounds as his finger presses forward. Testing. Playing. Feeling him out.
Katsuki spreads his legs more, kicking off his sweatpants, to give Eijirou more room to do exactly that. Eijirou is greedy and so is Katsuki, spreading himself open so Eijirou can take everything in; can feel everything he’s wanted to feel for years.
It’s a heady feeling. He’s felt his brother’s punches, had felt his lusty stare. But he had never felt this before, worshipful hands that hold him like he is something precious.
No one has held him like this, not since the night his parents died.
Katsuki can feel the bond welling, with tears, both of them getting caught up in it. “It’s ok,” Eijirou whispers against his lips. “Let your little brother take care of you.”
Katsukie melts into the ground and lets Eijirou’s fingers slip inside. They’re thick, meaty fingers. One goes in, then two, teasing Katsuki with their fullness. Their kiss gets more desperate as Eijirou moves his fingers faster and faster, pushing Katsuki to the edge, getting drunk on his moans.
Katsuki can feel the Alpha move into him, can feel him slide next to his Omega, curling around him. Locking them together.
And Katsuki welcomes it. He welcomes it with open arms and an arched back, with wet slick that sprays out of him and drenches the forest ground beneath him.
Katsuki stares up, his mouth open. For a long moment, he doesn’t see anything. And then, like his strings had been cut, he flops to the ground.
That was…the best orgasm he has ever had. No one has made him cum like that, not even himself.
Katsuki doesn’t get very long to bask in it, in the feeling of happiness that rebounds in him. Already, Eijirou is bullying his way into between his legs, spreading them wide so he can sit between them comfortably.
A hand wraps around his throat, bringing him up into a harsh kiss. Katsuki moans into it, and then moans louder when he feels something hot and throbbing slapping against his cunt.
Eijirou ruts there, squishing his long, hard cock against Katsuki’s folds, getting it slick with Katsuki’s pleasure.
Katsuki has no shame as he spreads his legs even more, allowing his brother closer. He slips a hand down, to wrap around the heavy monster. He gives it a squeeze, lets his hand slide up and down, just to feel Eijirou moan into his mouth.
And then he helps guide it in.
Eijirou’s hips jerk as he tries to press in even closer. Katsuki whines as he’s spread open, forced to take it in short, sharp thrusts. Every inch that presses in causes his Omega to whine and scratch, wanting it deeper. Wanting it deep into his lungs.
His nails scratch along Eijirou’s shoulder, bringing him in closer. “More,” he moans.
Eijirou gives him more.
He slams inside, again and again. His pace is punishing and harsh. Over the panting of their breath, Katsuki can hear the wet slap of skin against skin. His pussy flutters over Eijirou’s cock. Eijirou grunts with every thrust, deep and commanding. Katsuki can feel his back being scratched up as he’s fucked across the ground, and he doesn’t care.
He doesn’t care about anything other than getting that knot.
“Knot, knot, knot,” Katsuki whines. It gets faster and louder. “Knot, knot, knot!”
“Going to knot you,” Eijirou agrees. “Going to breed you so well. You’ll never be lonely again. You’ll never have an Alpha hurt you again. I’ll kill them, like I did all the others.”
Katsuki gasps. He doesn’t know if it’s at the admission of Eijirou murdering people or at the promise of having his womb filled. Maybe it’s both.
His legs wrap around Eijirou’s waist, holding on tight as the Alpha slams into him. Plap-plap-plap. Katsuki’s eyes roll into the back of his head. It feels like the Alpha is trying to fuck right through him and into the ground.
The hand on his throat tightens, forcing him to turn. To show off the other side of his mating gland. “You are mine,” Eijirou rumbles. “You always have been, since the moment I was born.”
Then he sinks his teeth in.
Katsuki’s world goes white. He can feel his cunt being spread open even more as Eijioru’s knot slams inside. Pleasure soars through him. He’s cumming, making a mess of Eijirou’s knot and dick. It’s overwhelming, shivering through him. It seems never ending.
His Omega has never been happier. This is all he wanted. More than being a Heo even.
He wants to be tied to his brother. Bonded by blood and venom and seaman.
For the first time, in a very long time, he finally feels happy. Complete.
And all it took was finally giving into his brother, to accept his bite and his knot. His womb is being filled, with more cum than he thinks he can hold. His stomach rounds out. Eijirou ruts against him, like he’s trying to stuff more inside. He seems to keep cuming and cuming.
There’s a small hint of Rut. Katsuki can sense the Alpha through the bond, pacing. Desperate to seal them together by breeding a pup into Katsuki. Katsuki has no doubt that by the end of the night, he’s either leaving pupped up or unconscious and stuck on Eijirou’s knot.
Katsuki and his Omega smile. Looking forward to it.
