When Duang finally managed to find an empty compartment in the train, he sighed full of relief. He hasn’t found his friends yet, but he was sure they would be able to find him. They always did.
He grabbed his small bag and pushed it into the overhead bin. He slumped down onto the booth and looked outside, through the dirty window of the Hogwarts Express. He tried to find his friends on the platform. Lots of students and their families were saying their goodbyes. He spotted a lot of familiar faces. Classmates, Quidditch players, but none of his close friends.
The compartment door opened with a loud tug. The old doors screeched a little at the energetic pull. A head poked in. “Duang, long time no see, how was your break?”, a redhead asked him. He grinned widely. The door opened fully, and another red-haired head entered the frame. They beamed at him and threw a large package at him.
Duang caught it. “Newest Weasley product. Try them with your friends and let us know”, Fred said. “Don’t try them near prefects or professors”, George added with a wink. “- We can’t guarantee for anything”
And with that, they were gone. The twins were just a year above Duang and his friends, but they often hung out together. If Duang were in the same house as them, he was sure they would spend every day together.
The doors opened again after a few minutes, and two chaotic boys entered the cabin. “What’s up Loverboy?”, Pae grinned while Jamie threw both their bags in the overhead bin next to Duangs. Duang gave him a slight glare. He was glad to see them again. They’ve seen each other throughout the break here and there, but he was very happy they would return to the school again.
Home just wasn’t the same without them.
They sat down opposite him and eyed the package in his hand. “What’s this?”, Pae asked, taking it from Duangs hand and inspecting it carefully. “Fred and George?”, he asked Duang with a raised eyebrow.
“ooooooOOh”, Jamie snatched the package, which wasn’t bigger than a shoe box, from him. He examined it rather uncarefully. “I’m opening it”
Duang, Jamie and Pae were hunched over the package in serious concentration, that they didn’t even notice that the doors to the compartment opened.
“Hello my dear friends”, a soft voice was heard and when they looked up, they were met with a blonde girl. Unruly hair, a necklace made from buttons and some kind of spaorkeling stones, already in her robes.
“Hi Luna!”, Duang smiled widely. Luna, a Ravenclaw, had been one of Duangs first friends at Hogwarts. They met before the sorting ceremony and hit it off. Back then Luna already miraculously knew that they wouldn’t end up in the same house.
Now, Duang wasn’t that surprised about it anymore. Luna kind of knew everything.
She ended up in the same house as Pae. Which meant they still saw each other pretty often. Especially because Luna rarely ever sat at her assigned houses table during meals in the great hall.
“Where’s the rest of you?”, Luna asked surprised.
She was referring to the fourth part of their group. The group, often referred to as “The Founding Fathers,” was so named because they were always together, despite coming from all four different houses.
Duang in Hufflepuff.
Pae in Ravenclaw.
Jamie in Gryffindor.
And…
“Excuse me… coming through”, a voice came from behind Luna, and a girl entered the cabin and plopped down next to Duang. Dark hair, slightly curly and dyed a deep red, sharp facial features, red lips, and piercing dark eyes. “What did I miss?”
… May in Slytherin.
“Oh, there she is”, Luna said in her usual entrancing voice. “How was your break?” she continued with a dreamy smile, while her body rocked side to side slightly.
“Oh, we spent the break trying to figure out a way for Duang here to speak to his crush, but all attempts failed miserably”, Jamie explained and laughed at Duang’s misery, and was joined by Pae in a fit of laughter at the memory.
“We spent the break hanging up posters in Diagon Alley and visiting all kinds of shops in hopes we would run into him. He rarely ever comes to Diagon Alley. We ate so many ice creams at Florean Fortescue's, in hopes he’ll pass”, Pae elaborated.
Luna smiled even wider at Duang. “Oh Duang”
“One time, he actually came to buy new supplies with his cousin. But Duang tried to stand up too fast, he tripped over something and fell onto the pavement”, Jamie added, barely containing his laughter. Duang looked a mix of embarrassed and annoyed.
“I didn’t trip over nothing. There was something in the way”, he said, crossing his arms.
“Damn right. Something was my foot”, May joined the laughter and high-fived Jamie. “You should’ve been there, Luna, it was funny”, Pae said after coming down from his giggle.
“…Oh, I don’t particularly like Diagon Alley. Too many nargels”, she said, smiling softly. “I spent the summer taking care of a mooncalf that got lost in our house. He was quite cute. Very small. They’re usually much larger and only come out during full moon,” she said.
“They took him away, though. I think you’re not allowed to keep them as a pet”
“… Probably not …”, May said with a raised eyebrow.
“Well, alright. I’ll leave you to it. It was fun catching up. See you later in the great hall. I’ll save you a seat, Pae”, she said and moved to get back into the hall. Duang waved his hand at her cheerfully.
“…Oh, and Duang…”, she said with a stern expression. “…Don’t be too scared to talk to him. I think you’ll find mysterious situations come your way if you prolong it much further”, Luna said to him.
Duang opened his mouth to respond in a bit of a surprised manner when she continued talking. “…The contents of the box might help you tough”, she said with a wink, and in the next second she was already gone.
“How does she even know who we are talking about?” Jamie said, confused.
Duang still stared at the door. “Well, Luna kind of knows everything, I’m not surprised”, Pae said with a bit of a giggle. “Oh, please, you don’t have to be Luna Lovegood to know Duang is head over heels for Qin since year two”, May rolled her eyes.
“Sounded like a threat, though, if you ask me. …mysterious situations coming your way?”, she continued and looked at Duang. Duang just shrugged. “So, what is in the box?” May asked the others, who had just as much of an idea as she did.
“Alright then”, May opened the package roughly, and in it was a cookie box. A round tin box with a label ‘cookies’ “What the hell”
“Jamie took the tin box and opened it roughly. They all hunched over it and looked into it. A piece of paper laid on a bunch of wrapped bonbons and sweets. Four or five different colors. All wrapped neatly.
Pae took out the paper and unfolded it.
“Dearest Reader…”, Pae started, and got kicked in the leg by May. “Be serious”
Pae rubbed his leg. “Owwwww…. Ok, ok”
“A bunch of candy to fill your tummy,
Be careful which you choose,
They might all be nommy,
But with some, you might lose.
The red ones will make your tongue blue
And make all you say only be true.
The golden ones will make you brave,
Act on desire and make you cave.
The purple ones will make you sick,
So be very careful before you lick.
The blue ones are special gems,
We won’t tell you which ability it stems.
The last are the green candy,
Trust us, they will come in handy.
Now don’t be nervous,
Fred and George at your service.
“That’s not weird at all”, Pae raised an eyebrow. May picked up a purple on and stuffed it in her leather jacket. Pae and Jamie just looked at her funny, but she shrugged her shoulders.
“And how is this supposed to help me with Qin?”, Duang asked confused, still staring into the box. Jamie snorted.
“I don’t know. Stick one of them truth ones in your mouth and just start rambling about your undying love for him”
Pae shook his head. “I think the golden one is probably better”, he said while taking one of them into his hands.
Duang shook his head and closed the box. He would worry about this when he actually had a chance to talk to Qin this year. Last year, they barely had classes together anyway. Only potions and Charms. He never skipped those.
Perfect attendance.
The train let out a sound, which filled the air in shrill noises for a second. The Hogwarts Express slowly started to move and the waving parents on the platform were moving faster and faster and soon they were on the way to Hogwarts.
They discussed their break only briefly, since they spent most of it together anyway. “What classes do we have together this year?”, Jamie asks the group in an excited voice. “I doubt we will have any class together”, Pae said. And he was probably right. Since their second year, the four had never had a single class altogether. There was probably a reason for that.
Maybe because Jamie, May, and Duang had let free a bunch of creatures in their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Or maybe because all four of them had competed in transfiguration and Duang had ended up with dog ears for the rest of the week.
The potion Madame Pomfrey gave him had only worked slowly. Fortunately for the other three, who found the whole ordeal utterly hilarious.
Maybe it was the occasion where Jamie and Duang had a heated discussion in potions and accidentally pushed over a whole shelf of magical ingredients.
It was probably justified. Let’s keep it at that.
They compared their schedules on the printed parchment paper and found that, as expected, none of the classes were at the same time.
There were a few overlaps. Like charms and potions, which Duang and May shared at the same time. Or DATDA, which Jamie and Pae had together. Pae and Duang also shared the elective Astrology class.
“What, so you look at stars?”, Jamie asks them and points at Pae’s schedule. Jamie, who was very occupied with the Gryffindor Quidditch team, obviously did not choose an elective. “Why would you take on extra classes if you don’t have to?”
“Why do you play Quidditch?”, Pae asks him with an eyeroll. May leaned forward and met Jamie halfway, who also leaned towards her.
“I’ll have the best time showing you how to play Quidditch this year”, she said and grinned at him. This ongoing banter between the two Quidditch players was entertaining to say the least. Last year, Slytherin had won greatly against Gryffindor, and May brought it up the whole summer break.
Ultimately, neither cared who won, because they would get to party either way. If Gryffindor won, they would celebrate with the Gryffindors. If Slytherin won, they would party with the Slytherins. It didn’t matter all that much.
It was just fun to compete. Something they liked to do a lot.
The train passed beautiful fields and lakes. Green countryside, filled with tall grass that moved in the wind of the British air. The occasional small villages, brick houses, and even cattle.
“So, who are you placing your bet on for this year?”, Jamie asks Pae with a wide grin while nudging his shoulder. “Quidditch only or house cup?”, Pae smiles back with a mischievous grin. “House cup is definitely not going to Hufflepuff”, he continues.
He was right. Duang had lost Hufflepuff so many points in the past years because of his “acts of love”. Roaming the halls at night, bringing snacks down to the Slytherin Commons. Not paying attention in class. Being somewhere he isn’t supposed to be, for example, the Slytherin party, he had begged May to take him to. Hanging posters of his face all over the castle, which apparently classified as vandalism for Finch.
Hufflepuff was a lost cause. None of his housemates blamed him, though.
“Let’s go with Quidditch then”, Jamie asked Pae, who thought about it for a bit. “Hufflepuff is getting a new goalie for sure. So maybe they won’t let in as many goals as the last year”, Pae started thinking out loud. “But then again, they can’t win if they don’t make a single point”, Pae grinned widely, referring to the Hufflepuff – Gryffindor game last year, where Hufflepuff hadn’t scored a single point.
“My bet is on Slytherin, actually. Last year’s team was great”, he concluded. Jamie nodded, and May gave him a high five. They shortly turned to Duang but quickly burst out laughing before he could begin talking.
“Let me guess, you’re also betting Slytherin?” Jamie asked in a teasing voice. “Your degree of down bad has to be studied. It’s insane”
“Well, Qin plays so well, what do you want me to say?”, he pouted at the group.

The carriages towards Hogwarts were already situated right outside the train station when the four left the train. As they walked towards one, they were passed by the twins again. “Oi Duang- “, Fred said with a smirk, his red hair falling into his eyes a little. “-think you’ll find a use for the gift?” George winked at him as they walked past them.
Duang pouted at the misery of everyone knowing about his demise. Jamie and Pae only giggled softly.
They entered the first carriage and sat down. In the corner sat Luna with Neville, another boy from their year. “Oh, how nice of you to join us. I thought no one else would sit with us because of all the nargels”, she said softly, holding an edition of the Quibbler.
“Hi Luna, what does it say about my horoscope this time?”, Duang asked with a wide grin, pointing at the magazine.
“The current aspect gives you all the confidence you need to express your feelings to someone whom you admire intensely. You may have wondered if it would be better to let them have the first word, but time is passing and you may be impatient to start the ball rolling. A conversation you have with them today could be very significant. You will feel jubilant! “
Luna looked at him after reading. “You know, sometimes I am very wise”
All eyes were on him as they digested the words.
Talk to Qin first.
Today?
Talk to Qin.
First.
Today.
Talk.
Today.
To Qin.
His friends looked at him with a mixture of amusement and interest. “So, Duang”, Pae asked with a smirk.
“Let’s be honest, what are the chances”, May leaned back against the backrest.
“I mean he’s walking right there”, Neville spoke quietly and gesturing outside. Four heads whipped around and just like he had said. Qin was walking alone towards the carriages. Duang went rigid.
“Oh, wow yeah ok sure”, May said sarcastically. “Chances are a hundred percent apparently, Luna you genius”, she sent a smile to Luna.
“Not a hundred, this doesn’t mean he will- “, Duang started talking but was interrupted by May again.
“Qin”
“What are you-“, Duang looked at her frantically.
“Qin”, she yelled loudly, and this time Qin spotted her. He waved back at her and walked towards them.
Jamie and Pae were making fun of Duangs drained face right before Qin stepped into the carriage. “How was your break”, May asked as he sat down beside her.
They talked a little bit about their break. Since Qin and May were in the same house, but also on the same Quidditch team, they were rather close.
Ironically for Duang.
Qin was also very close to Luna. So, when Luna spoke in her soft voice to him, Duang realized that Qin’s face softened just a bit when he spoke with her.
“- You know. Duang has brought some candy he wants to share with you”, she said with a smile on her face as if she just told him, she went swimming in the river behind her house.
Qin looked at Duang with a raised eyebrow. “Oh?”
“No, No I don’t”, Duang said quickly. Qin looked at the others for a split second to try and assess whether Duang was lying or not. But all he was met with were amused faces.
“I didn’t know you would give them to me personally this year”, he looked back at Duang who lost all color in his face except for his ears. His ears were bright red.
“What?”, his mind was blank. Did Qin know about the times he sent food to him during the day with levitation spells? Did he know about the small gifts he left for him occasionally?
His heart sped up, hands felt clammy to the touch.
“The snacks…. Will I get them directly from you this year?”, Qin elaborated and Duangs friends were having the time of their life’s.
“You know?”, Duang said with a furrowed forehead. Understanding how this made any sense.
It actually made a lot of sense because everyone kind of knew he had a crush on Qin. The only thing secret about his secret crush was the fact that he was the only one who thought it was secret.
Qin nodded at him with an unreadable expression.
“Oh well. You see. I send all my friends snacks, I’m really good friends with Winky, and we love to bake stuff-“, he starts rambling in an attempt to justify his gifts, which needed absolutely no explanation.
“Winky likes to bake stuff”, Jamie corrected him. “Well, I try?”, Duang said dismissively.
“But I send them to all my friends”, he said quickly. “Really? I have never gotten one,”, Luna said in a dreamy voice with a hint of amusement. “Oh yeah, we get tons of food”, Pae said and symbolically rubs his belly. “Some of it even tastes okay”, Jamie added with a grin.
By the amount of times they all grinned around Duang, you would think he’s a funny person. Duang liked to believe that.
Duang looked straight at Qin, hoping he wouldn't catch the very obvious lie.
Qin looked even prettier than the year before. If that was even possible. It definitely was.
His hair has grown a bit longer, it curls around the neck in his back, similar to a mullet, but not quite. His eyes stood out to Duang every time he caught them in a crowd. Piercing dark buttons, lots of emotions. Emotions he couldn’t quite place. His soft lips were curled to a smirk, and his Slytherin robes looked so good on him, that Duang was sure they were designed only for him. White dress shirt and the tie, the robe. It all looked incredibly put together.
He was rolling his wand in his hand, playing with it a little. A wand Duang would recognize anywhere.
“But we aren’t friends”, Qin said with a stern voice.
Duang’s heart stopped. His breath hitched and an uncomfortable feeling enclosed around him. He felt itchy pressure surrounding him. It hit like a brick.
Qin wasn’t entirely wrong. They rarely talked. If they interacted it was mostly because of May or Jamie. They were considered friends.
But apparently not him. He wasn’t considered a friend.
And that hurt. And even his friends could see that it had hurt. The usual very bright Duang suddenly slumped a little. He didn’t look at Qin. He was focused on the wand in Qin’s hand. They all looked at each other.
“Friends are a peculiar thing, aren’t they?”, Luna said after a moment of awkward silence. Neville and Luna just looked at each other.
Duang felt like he got pushed out of the carriage and trampled over by a hundred thestrals.
It hurt because Duang was friends with everyone. It hurt more because he had made an effort to be nice to Qin. Sending gifts, snacks. Rooting for him at the Quidditch matches. Hanging posters. It hurt most because it was Qin saying it to his face.
──── ୨୧ ────
Duang doesn’t quite remember how he got into the great hall and into his seat. His mind was a bit dizzy from thinking too much, still in a trance.
He sat next to a few of his friends in Hufflepuff and waited for the sorting ceremony to be over so they could enjoy their food.
He thought about the candy again, he could really use one of those golden ones.
The golden ones will make you brave,
Act on desire and make you cave.
He was ripped from his trance when someone behind him tapped his shoulder. He turned and was met with Jamie, who sat behind him on the Gryffindor table.
“We’re joining May later, you coming?”, he whispered between tables. The unofficial back-to-school party was held in the room of requirements each year on the first night back. Even though House rivalry continued through the whole year, this is one of few nights where the rivalry is set aside.
Of course, not all students came. There were always a bunch that opposed the mingling of houses.
But for those who didn’t mind, it was a great start into the schoolyear. There were always some games played in smaller groups and the intense bass of loud music.
Duang nodded his head yes. He wouldn’t miss it.
“Maybe you should take one of those golden candies before. I just heard Qin is joining tonight.”, Jamie winked at him and then leaned his body back from in between tables to the Gryffindor table, leaving Duang with the new found information.
Qin had never come to one of those parties. Not because he didn’t like the mixing of houses, but May had once said that there were too many people for him.
But this year. This year was different.
Food suddenly appeared on the table in front of him, and Duang realized he had missed yet another of Dumbledore’s welcome speeches.
──── ୨୧ ────
After the dinner had ended, Duang and his friends slowly returned to their common rooms. He was glad that their common rooms were the closest to the great hall, and he didn’t have to walk across all of Hogwarts just so he could get into his dorm.
The Hufflepuff common room was warm and decorated with wooden walls and lots of greenery. It felt like home to Duang. His dorm was shared with the same guys as last year, so he felt immediately comfortable when he plopped down on his bed.
He felt compelled to fall asleep right where he was, but he shouldn’t. He couldn’t miss the chance of seeing Qin in the room of requirements.
A soft knock sounded through the high windows. Since Hufflepuff Dormitories were deep down in the castle, next to the kitchens, they didn’t have big windows like the Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, or even Slytherins.
They had a round window in the ceiling, leading to the open grass of the greenhouses.
A small owl stood on the window and knocked their beak against the window. “Isn’t that Anya?”, one of his dormmates asked as they moved to open the window.
The tawny owl flew down the dormitory in circular shapes until she landed on Duang’s shoulder and dropped a piece of rolled-up paper in his hand. May’s pet owl.
“Hi Anya”, Duang moved her off his shoulder and onto his arm so he could brush the small feathers on the small bird. He grabbed her a few treats, and she fluttered to rest on the headboard of his bed. Duang opened the rolled-up paper.
Meet on the seventh floor in an hour. Qin is coming, so you might want to eat a bunch of that candy
Duang sighed and looked at the tin box on his bed.
The red ones will make your tongue blue
And make all you say only be true.
So a truth serum, essentially, he suspected. Probably not the safest choice.
The golden ones will make you brave,
Act on desire and make you cave.
Brave is good. But act on desire? He didn’t want to do something he would regret later. But then again, he will probably overthink any interaction.
No.
He can do this. He is Duang. He can do this.
The purple ones will make you sick,
So be very careful before you lick.
He wouldn’t need candy to feel sick.
The blue ones are special gems,
We won’t tell you which ability it stems.
So that’s not suspicious at all, Duang thought. With Fred and George, you never really know. He would have to try these out at a different time. For all he knew, they could make him grow a pigtail or make him all puffy.
The last are the green candy,
Trust us, they will come in handy.
Duang sighed at the thought. Another uncertain one. He picked up one of the few green ones. “What’s that?”, his friend asked from behind and looked into the tin box. Duang sighed and handed him the piece of paper.
“Oh wow”, his friend laughed, “They outdid themselves. Veritaserum in a candy is hard to do. Also, illegal but…”, Both of them just shot each other a look.
The twins were past worrying about such things. But he was right, if the twins managed to brew and integrate Veritaserum for the red candy. What else could they have done for the blue and green one?
“Maybe the green one is luck. You know?”, Duang said curiously. “Maybe they had Felix Felicis?”
It was possible. If the twins had Veritaserum, they might also have the potion that made you very lucky for a short period of time.
“Maybe you should try. It says ‘come in handy,’ so I doubt it would be something bad”
Duang looked at the box of candy and picked up a few candies with his hand. Suddenly, the owl flew onto his arm and picked out one of the candies with its beak.
Green.
“You’re such a smart bird Anya”, he took the candy from her beak and dropped the rest of the candy back into the bowl. He set Anya on the dresser in his dormitory as he picked out a few clothes from his still unpacked suitcase. Anya usually didn’t leave immediately, she liked to be around people. She often slept in the Slytherin common rooms with May. Which wasn’t allowed, but it is not like May cared.
He picked out one of his blue dress shirts, which was a little looser, and unbuttoned the upper buttons. Normal pants and shoes. Just very casual. Anya picked at his drawer, and when she got it open, removed a silver chain from it. She held it in her beak. Duang took it from her. It was an expensive silver chain he had gotten as a gift from the Secret Santa game they had played in their bigger friend group in Hufflepuff. He rarely wore it because it seemed so expensive, and he still wasn’t sure who sent it to him. All his friends in Hufflepuff didn’t seem like the type.
It had a small charm on it that looked like a paw print. It was very cute. He took it from Anya and moved to wear it. He looked into the mirror, and it looked like it belonged there, between his collarbones.
He grabbed his wand and the green candy. Anya fluttered to move to his outstretched arm. “You need to go back, we’re leaving”, he pouted at the cute bird, but she made no attempt to fly out the still open window in the ceiling. The big, round eyes only looked up at him.
“Alright then”, Duang caved slightly and made its way out of the dorm into the common rooms. He said goodbye to the friends who were still in the common room when he went down. Most of them were already gone, though.
He moved through the castle quickly, trying not to be caught by someone.. He wasn’t supposed to be out in the halls and definitely not with a bird on his arm. He definitely should try to not loose that many points this year.
First night would be a record, even for him.
He walked up the changing stairs quickly, making his way to the seventh floor. When he rounded the corner to the long hallway with the tapestry of Barnabas the barmy, he already saw May, Jamie, and Pae standing in front of the big wall chatting.
Anya leapt from his arm and flew directly to May, who was not surprised to see her there. “What are you doing here, you little devil?”, she said and patted the feathers absentmindedly. When Duang caught up, he received a harsh glare from May. “You know if she gets caught in the castle they will put her in the owl tower”
“They will put her there either way, because that’s where she’s supposed to be”, Pae said rolling his eyes. May sent him a quick look. Duang just grinned and shrugged his shoulders.
May gave Anya a quick treat and with that, Anya flew off into the corridors, probably back to the Slytherin dungeons.
Pae stood in front of the wall and whispered a quick password. The room of requirements, which shaped itself to the room the person in front of it needed the most, had come in handy more than once.
A wide wooden door appeared, and faint bass could be heard through it. They opened the door and walked into the big room. It resembled a big club. In one corner, there was a bar with floating bottles and glasses that poured themselves.
There was a big area of people dancing and standing, chatting over the loud bass of Muggle music.
In a far right corner, there were a couple of seating pits in which people sat together around a round table on comfortable couches. There was a short corridor to the left, which Duang knew to be the lavatories.
They greeted a few people on their way to the bar and stopped occasionally to say hi to friends they hadn’t seen in a while. It was a comfortable get-together and Duang buzzed with the warmth of finally being back in the place he liked to call home. Surrounded by friends and the comfort of magic, it was a feeling he would never forget.
May handed them drinks from the bar and they quickly downed the first batch.
He wasn’t sure what kind of alcohol it was, it was a clear liquid. It ran down his throat with a slight burn and spread in his body like a flame.
Jamie leaned in and shouted over the music. “Did you eat a candy or are you going in raw?”
His face went red at the implication, and Jamie laughed when he saw the reaction. Pae and him burst out laughing when Duang looked at the both of them with a shocked expression.
He grabbed the green candy from his pocket and showed it to them. May chuckled along with the rest but she was already busy grabbing a new set of drinks.
“Eat it now. We are about to sit down over there”, she said and pointed to one of the seating pits with only a few people. Duang recognized a few people from Slytherin and Ravenclaw in it. Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini sat next to Luna and Nevill on one side of the pit and he would recognize the last person everywhere.
With his back to Duang, Qin sat comfortably on the couch. Drink in hand and seemingly in a discussion with Luna.
Duang quickly unrolled the candy, and a green candy came to view. It had a tiny bit of sparkle in it and a silver center.
The three friends watched him intently. “What does this one do anyway?”, Jamie asked him curiously. Duang shrugged, and Pae only raised his eyebrows at that. His arms jokingly pushed May and Jamie back while saying, “Careful, he might start exploding”
While his friends cackled, Duang popped the candy into his mouth. “I think it’s luck”, he said through his teeth as the candy quickly dissolved. It was sweet and laced his mouth with a sweet taste.
They looked at him expectantly, as if they expected him to suddenly turn green himself.
But nothing happened. They all exchanged looks. “Maybe it really is”, May said skeptically. “You should try it out”, she said and waved her hand so that a stack of Muggle playing cards appeared.
Pae quickly grabbed a card from the pile and hid it. “What card did I choose?”, he said quickly. “This is a stupid way of testing it”, Duang said.
“Just say any card”, May rolled her eyes.
“Kind of Spades”, Duang said without thinking, and when Pae turned his card, a black card looked right at him.
The King of spades.
“No way”, Jamie said loudly and shook Duang by the shoulders. Duang quickly grinned and looked over to where Qin and Luna were now in a heated discussion together with Blaise.
Duang grinned eye to eye and clapped his hands together softly. Pae turned him by the shoulders and they walked over to the group slowly.
When they rounded the corner of the pit, he was able to glance at Qin for a second. He wore a soft sweater that was kind of see-through, with a top underneath. The sleeves ran over his hands, swallowing them. His hair was still as curly as when he saw him earlier. Soft strands of slight curls falling into his eyes. His legs were crossed and he was leaning to the side Luna sat on.
His friends sat down in the pit and Jamie grabbed Duang’s shirt and pulled him to sit next to Qin. Qin turned as he realized new people had joined and immediately smiled at the sight of the group. He smirked when May handed him a new drink.
“Wjy are you so late?”, he asked the group and stopped his gaze at Duang. Locking eyes with him for a second. He took a sip from the drink in his hand while looking at him with a raised eyebrow and Duang could die right there on the spot.
Pae joined the conversation with Luna, and it turns out they had previously discussed the Astronomy class.
“You also took Astronomy?”, Duang asked in a surprised voice, turning to Qin, who was still looking at him. Qin nodded slowly, and then his eyes went down a little.
Duang didn’t know exactly what he was looking at; it was too low for his lips. Qin quickly averted his eyes again, and Duang thought that maybe he imagined it. He grabbed his drink from the table and joined the conversation about Astronomy.
Even though the situation was very calm, his heart was racing miles an hour. This was the first real conversation he had engaged in with Qin. And it went surprisingly well. Even though they weren’t the only ones talking, he realized that Qin looked at him a lot and often waited for an answer from him. His heart swelled and he found himself grinning into his drink.
“Oi Qin”, Jamie asked, when the topic subsided a little. “For someone you don’t call a friend, you sure talk a lot with Duang”
Duang’s head whipped to Jamie and his eyes widened at the sudden topic change and the prompt honesty. “Jamie, what the fuck?”, he whispered.
Qin looked amused by the question, but Duang found it anything but humorous. When he dared to look at Qin again, Qin was smiling with Luna, who had whispered something out of earshot for Duang.
“Aren’t you friends? You seem like you are?”, Pansy asked with a surprised tone.
Qin didn’t answer the question but took another drink from his cup. When it was evident they wouldn’t get an answer from him, Jamie sighed loudly and threw his hands dramatically and Pae only laughed at Duangs obvious confusion.
“Let’s play a game then.”, Jamie said to the group and sent Duang a quick wink. Duang didn’t know what to expect but it couldn’t be good, if the idea came from Jamie.
“Truth or Dare”, he said and laid an empty bottle onto the table.
Everyone leaned forward a little and perked up at the mention. “Is that a muggle game?”, Blaise said confused.
“You spin a bottle and the person who spun the bottle can give the person it lands on a truth or a dare. They can choose which one they want”, Pae explained quickly.
Pansy and Blaise nodded. “What if I don’t want to do it?”, Neville asked with a confused look on his face. He knew who he was surrounded by. It was a valid concern.
But Blaise and Pansy looked at him with a mocking expression. “Come on Longbottom, that’s the whole thrill of it”
“You drink”, Jamie answered Neville and sent him a wink. “Which makes it fun either way”
Everyone nodded, and Jamie spun the bottle first. The bottle spun in a perfect circle. All eyes on the bottle. While Duang and Jamie were hunched forward, interested in the direction the bottle would point to, Qin only leaned back watching it closely.
It stopped after getting slower and landed on Luna.
Loud cheers interrupted, and Jamie cleared his throat. “Truth or dare”, he said with a smirk as he leaned forward further.
“I think truth is evidently more interesting”, Luna said with a smile as she gave the round a quick look.
Jamie thought for a second but quickly came to a decision: “What is something you know, but we don’t?”, he asked her.
Luna gave him a big, wide grin and looked around the table. “I think knowledge is dependent on its owner. My knowledge might be different than your knowledge. I don't know how much truth my knowledge might hold in your eyes.”, she said with a tilted head.
Jamie nodded: “Just tell us something you know that might be interesting to us”
She thought for a second. “There are a lot of Lieblies in the air tonight. You can’t see them, but I can hear their wings fluttering. They must be close”, she smiled to herself.
They all looked at her for a while. None of them knew what it was. Luna often talked about the most random creatures like Wrackspurts, invisible creatures that make your brain fuzzy, or even the Billywigs.
But they hadn’t heard her mention Lieblies before.
“What are those exactly, Luna?”, Neville asked, interested in the new creature. While all eyes were on Luna she simply shrugged and tilted her head a little. “I thought it’s only one question”
They all sighed dramatically and Luna moved to spin the bottle.
It landed on May, who gave a big wide beam. “Dare”
“Can it be a dare for later in the year or now?”, she asked curiously before answering. “I’m fine with both”, May answered with a shrug of her shoulders.
“Then I dare you to switch positions with Qin in one Quidditch game”, she said.
Qin leaned forward and looked at her. “Do you want us to lose?”, he asked her with a smirk. May, who usually played as a beater, would now have to take on Qin’s role as a Chaser.
May only shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t mind, I can score goals. Question is whether Qin can handle a bat”, sne chuckled a little and Qin only gave a dramatic sigh.
“Alright Alright”, May moved to spin the bottle again and this time Duang felt a sudden shift in the atmosphere in the room, when the bottle landed on Qin.
Qin and May looked at each other for a second. Or two seconds.
Maybe three.
May raised an eyebrow. “Truth”, Qin said calmly, although his interior was anything but.
Duang’s insides burned, it felt like all the alcohol hit him all at once. He felt nervous and wasn’t sure where the next few minutes would lead. But everyone in their group could feel the tension.
May hesitated for a second, but then chose the safer option. If Qin was to handle a bat in the upcoming Quidditch game, she had to be somewhat nice to him now.
Even though they were on the same team, she wouldn’t be surprised if he sent the first Bludger after her.
“Why is Duang not your friend”, she smiled and Qin only stared at her for a second.
He knew that this question was mercy in comparison to what May could’ve asked in front of the group instead. But it was still a mean question to ask. But he also knew, she asked it because he now had the opportunity to change the spotlight to Duang.
He smirked at her and slightly looked at Duang.
Duang had gone rigid. Starring at May, wondering in what universe she lived in to think this was a great question.
It was a great question. It really was. For everyone but Duang. He felt his cheeks blush as hundreds of possible answers from Qin crossed his mind.
“Well, he’s trying to pursue me, isn’t he?”, Qin said with a smirk and leaned back, looking at Duang. The table was quiet for a second staring at both Qin and Duang.
This is the first time Qin had admitted to knowing about it. It was the first time Duang realized that Qin was aware. And it was the first time that the topic came up with both present.
Duang’s face went red. His cheeks, his ears, even his nose. He looked cute like that.
“I would hardly call that trying, he is barely talking to you”, Jamie broke the silence and Pansy and May broke out in a quick laugh. Pae joined them quickly and Duang didn’t know how to act, how to look at Qin.
Qin knew.
Of course he knew.
Why wouldn’t he.
He hung posters.
He sent gifts.
Anonymous but apparently not anonymous enough.
He tried making conversation. But failed.
Yeah, it was obvious.
Very obvious. If the whole of Hogwarts knew, he wasn’t surprised Qin knew too.
He should’ve known.
His face kept getting reader and reader and his hands clung to the cold glass in his hand that slowly turned warm under the pressure of both his palms.
Jamie, who was also laughing a little, poured new liquid in his glass.
Duang didn’t dare look to his left, where Qin sat. He couldn’t.
He was trying to understand the implications if it all.
But a tiny voice inside him got louder and louder.
Qin knew.
Qin knew and still talked to him.
From his peripheral vision he saw Qin slowly lean forward to grab the bottle and spin it. He was in a trance, his body was tense and he didn’t dare move. He froze for the next couple of rounds. He barely noticed how Luna and Neville kissed each other on the cheek and how Blaise had to dance to a muggle song with Luna. He didn’t even notice when Jamie and Pae had to remove a set of clothing from the other person.
Jamies hand touched his thigh softly and Duang looked at him, being shaken from his thoughts. “You good? Too much to drink?”, Jamie asked with a furrowed eyebrow.
“I don’t think it was a lucky candy Jamie”, Duang said softly so the others couldn’t hear. He sat there, trying to think of a way to save himself the embarrassment.
Jamie glanced at Qin and back at Duang and gave him a small smile. “Duang, I don’t think so. I think it was a very lucky candy. Qin has been looking at you the whole time”, he said while leaning in to guard their conversations from the others. “You haven’t looked at him once. I think you guys should talk”
Jamie leaned back and Duang slowly grew a soft smile. Jamie was right, it couldn’t be too bad. He turned back towards the group right when it was Pae’s turn to spin the bottle. He watched the bottle for a second before stealing a short glance at Qin. Qin sat, leaned back next to him on the couch. Pillow on his lap and eyes focused on the bottle.
When he noticed Duang’s look, he held it immediately. They held eye contact for a few seconds. Duan’gs breath hitched and he studied Qin’s face a little clearer.
Soft blushed cheeks from the warmth of the room but also alcohol. Lips that looked soft to the touch. His eyes steady and focused. His face looked so pretty, Duang was sure that Qin was part Veela. The supernatural beauty was indescribable, and he couldn’t bear to look away. It was like he was caught in a trance. Dangerous but he wouldn’t want to look away anyway.
Qin’s lips formed to a soft smile and his eyes squinted a little when he smiled. Duang didn’t know he was holding his breath. Qin’s eyes moved away from his and towards the table, then back to him again. Duang felt Jamies hand on his shoulder and turned back to the table.
The bottle was facing him.
Pae looked at him mischievously.
Before Duang could open his mouth, Pae cut him off. “You don’t get to choose. I’m giving you a dare”
“Wha-“, Duang said in an attempt of protest but Jamie and May agreed quickly and took his glass from his hands.
“hey!”, he objected.
Pae smirked at him. “Sit in Qin’s lap for the next five rounds”
The table turned loud. Duang’s ears were ringing. “Five rounds, are you insane?”, he yelled loudly to Pae, completely forgetting where they were. Pae only jumped out of reach, when Duang lunged at him and giggled deeply. Jamie and May were laughing uncontrollably while holding Duang back.
“That’s what you’re worried about? Does that mean you’ll do it?”, Blaise asked.
Duang, who stood, in an attempt to get to Pae, turned his upper body to Blaise.
“What no? Give me my drink”, he said quickly and tried getting his drink back from May’s hands. She only held it further away and the bottles on the table also disappeared with a plop sound.
The table was a fit of laughter and giggles.
Duang looked back at Qin, in hopes he would also say something about this. But Qin only raised an eyebrow at Duangs protest. Duang held his eye contact for a bit too long and Qin’s lips turned into a full on smirk. His hands moved to the pillow in his lap and removed it. Sending it somewhere to the side.
Duang gulped.
Hard.
His face was burning.
This wasn’t happening.
“Wait no. I didn’t even get to choose”, Duang said to Pae, who was on the opposite of the table, creating as much distance between them as possible.
“I don’t care”, he simply shrugged.
Duang was about to protest when he felt a hand wrap around his wrist. It sent chills down his spine and goosebumps up his arm.
He looked back and Qin was leaned forwards, fingers wrapped around his wrist. He didn’t say anything. But he looked at Duang. From this angle, Duang was looking down on him and Qin’s eyes looked even bigger, rounder. More endearing than before.
He felt himself being pulled and before he knew it, he was sat on Qin’s lap. He was enticed in the eyes so much, he hadn’t realized, Qin had pulled him into his lap.
He sat kind of awkwardly on the right side of Qin’s spread legs. His legs between Qin’s legs. He didn’t know what do with his arms, he wasn’t sure how to sit properly. He was stiff.
The table had gone quiet around them and suddenly everyone was busy talking to each other, the truth or dare game, shortly forgotten as they gave the two guys a bit of privacy.
Duang’s face was close to Qin’s like this and he tried not to stare into his eyes. He didn’t want to make this more uncomfortable than it already was. Qin’s arm wrapped around his back, to steady him. Duang jumped a little at the sudden touch and softly apologized.
Qin smiled at him. “Is it not comfortable?”, he asked in a hushed voice and Duang swore he was about to die right then and there.
He shook his head slowly. “It’s just an awkward position because I don’t know how to sit”, he said. Qin nodded for a second and then leaned back against the couch, so Duang was forced to put all his body weight on Qin. He scrambled to sit up, but Qin held his waist. With his side pressed into Qin’s chest and his hips almost entirely on Qin’s direct lap, it was a very close position.
Qin’s arm held his back in place and his hand rested on Duang’s waist. It was good back support, but Duang couldn’t think about that. He tried not to look at Qin, but it was almost impossible in this position. Their friends were engaged in conversations and Duang thought for a split second, that they were cheating by not continuing the game, but he couldn’t finish the thought because Qin spoke.
“Why did you go so silent. You were much livelier when we talked about Astronomy”, his lips were slightly curved and Duang knew, that Qin was forcing the conversation to a specific topic.
He couldn’t avoid it; they had to talk about it eventually.
But maybe not…
While he sat in Qin’s lap.
Duang looked at Qin. “I didn’t know what to say”, he said quickly. Qin quickly realized that Duang was under a very wrong impression. “Duang….Do you think your crush is making me uncomfortable?”, he asked bluntly, raising an eyebrow.
Duang closed his eyes at the sudden bluntness. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds. “… because I'm not”, Qin continues after a while of silence and Duang opened his eyes.
He beamed at Qin and Qin smiled back at him. “Duang”, he said and sent him a small smirk.
“You wouldn’t be in my lap, wearing the necklace I gifted to you, if I were uncomfortable”
Duang’s smile dropped.
He looked down at his chest. He wasn’t fully able to see it but he knew the silver paw necklace sat there. He looked back at Qin who gave him a smirk.
Duang looked at him with a confused glance and shifted a little on Qin’s lap to look at him closer.
“What? No…”, he started but Qin grabbed the necklace charm with his fingers and softly grazed the cool silver.
“I paid one of your friends to give it to you”, Qin said softly looking at it closely. “But you rarely wear it”, he continued, ripping his gaze from admiring the necklace on Duang to Duang’s eyes.
Duang’s thoughts were spiraling.
Qin had gifted him the necklace, which is why none of his friends knew who had him for Secret Santa.
“But that was a year ago”, Duang said, touching the silver on his neck too. Qin nodded with a smile. “Yeah”
To outsiders, they looked really close like this. Qin’s arm wrapped around Duang, holding him against his chest, with Duang’s legs between his. Faces close to each other, talking.
“Hey Lovebugs, let’s continue the game, or do you want to stay like this forever?”, Jamie asked with a smirk, and they quickly turned back to the group. Duang felt more confident than ever in himself and a warm feeling filled his chest.
He was sitting in Qins lap.
Qin was comfortbale.
The necklace he wore was a gift from Qin.
A year a go.
He was sitting in Qin’s lap.
Duang leaned forward slightly, careful not to move too much and spun the bottle. When he leaned back, Qin’s arm moved to hug him again and Duang grinned to himself.
The nervousness was almost gone entirely.
It was probably the green candy he ate.
He had to send a huge thank you note to Fred and George later. This ws nothing but sheer luck. He was grinning from ear to ear.
The bottle landed on Pae and his smile dropped. Duang beamed at the thought of payback.
“Okay let’s stay civil”, Pae said calmly as he raised his hands. Duang couldn’t contain the huge grin when he said his next words. “ Truth or dare Pae”
Pae sent helpless looks to the round. “Truth”
“What does your Amortentia smell like?”, Duang said with a wider grin than before. He knew the answer to this. He was the only one who knew. Pae’s face drained. “No”, he said quickly. Duang shrugged. Pae didn’t have to answer. Duang knew that the question alone would make his friends question the thought enough to never stop pestering Pae about it.
Pae slowly took a drink and Jamie and May were already screaming for the answer. Duang only smiled to himself and Pae had never looked more shocked and mad at the same time.
“You don’t have to answer, it’s fine”, Duang said. But they both know what Duang had started with the question. May and Jamie were adamant.
“Spin it again. I want to know”, May said and Jamie agreed. “You can’t ask the same questions twice”, Pae said quickly before someone could change the rules. “Yes, I can do whatever I want. Spin again”, May said quickly.
Duang was so entertained by the situation in front of him, that he didn’t notice at first, that Qin was moving a little. Qin’s hips moved to make it more comfortable in a soft motion. Duang looked at him after a few seconds. “Are you ok? Is it uncomfortable? Should I move?”, Duang asked quickly, his arm going to Qin’s shoulder out of reflex.
Qin smiled and shook his head. “No it’s fine. Don’t worry.”. When Duang moved to stand up anyway, Qin’s free arm moved to his legs. Holding him down.
“Duang”, he said with a now stern voice. Duang looked at him immediately. Qin’s eyes looked at him pleading. It was a sight that Duang would’ve enjoyed if he wasn’t so concerned. “Don’t you dare move”, Qin said with the quietest voice possible and when Duang understood the muttered words, he felt it. His hips moved just an inch, and he felt a hard bulge press against his backside. His face heated up and he looked at Qin, who had the same stern expression on his face. Qin’s grip on his waist and legs hardened.
“Qin”, Duang started but got interrupted. “..Dont… Don’t say my name right now”
Duang immediately shut up but his lips formed to a smile. Pae was busy fighting off Jamie and May’s curiosity, which only got worse after Luna had added something about unrequited love.
Duang wasn’t too concerned about his friends anymore. He was focused on the touch of their hips together. He couldn’t stand up, because people would notice through Qin’s tight pants. Their friends would definitely notice.
He was grinning mostly because he had caused this effect on his crush, his nervousness was almost entirely gone and he thanked Fred and George once again.
Then an idea slowly crept to the surface of his mind.
He glanced at Qin, who was presumably paying attention to the discussion on the table and then Duang slowly moved his hips in an excuse to make it more comfortable. Qin’s grip got tighter immediately. “Duang, what are you doing?”, he hissed.
“Oh sorry, I’m trying to make it more comfortable”, he said innocently and softly moved to lift off the lap only for a few centimeters, before situating himself strategically.
Fully on the hardening length, which was growing more and more prominent.
Qin hissed softly. In this position, Duang’s back was pressed more against Qin’s chest and Qin rested his forehead against the back of Duang’s shoulder. “Duang”, he said in a pleading voice. “Don’t start things, you can’t finish”, he gritted through his teeth and Duang only smirked. He couldn’t see Qin’s face from this angle, but the feel of the length was enough to give him the confidence for his next movements.
He softly moved his hips in small movements, so it wouldn’t look suspicious. He added pressure to the movements and he could feel the immediate reaction from Qin.
The length twitched slightly and Qin’s breathing got louder. “Qin”, Duang whispered softly. “People can hear you”
Qin’s grip on his waist was so tight, Duang was sure it would leave a mark. He loved it, though. The thought of Qin’s hands leaving a mark on him. Qin mumbled against his shoulder.
“They can see us too, so if you don’t want to be tomorrow morning’s gossip, I suggest you stop”
Duang chuckled a little and his body moved at that, making Qin groan slightly.
“But that’s not fun, is it”, he said quickly, looking over his shoulder at Qin. Qin’s forehead was still pressed against Duang’s shoulder.
Their friends soon ended up in a new round of Truth or Dare and Pansy was dared to give a table dance in the crowd.
Fortunately for Duang it was across the room, so their friends had their backs turned towards them.
Unfortunately for Qin, everyone in the room looked in that direction, leaving the both of them out of eyesight from anyone. As Pansy starts moving to the famous beats of ‘Hypnotize’, a muggle song, Duang moved a bit more freely and Qin couldn’t contain his groans, that were muffled by Duang’s shoulder.
“Qin”, Duang said with a smirk. He felt a nod against his shoulder. “Is this okay?”, he asked while softly moving his hips in circular and up and down motions on Qin’s lap. Now pressing against a fully hardened length. He felt heavy breathing against his shirt and soft noises entered his ear. His movements became more pressing, and Qin’s hips thrusted up involuntarily in an attempt of more friction.
The music around them grew louder and cheers were heard. But they didn’t notice.
When Duang didn’t receive an answer, he slowly stopped. Qin let out a whine. “Duang, don’t you dare stop”, he said in a voice that made Duang’s skin crawl.
Qin’s bucked up, thrusting into Duangs backside, searching for the friction Duang had temporarily stopped giving him.
“Don’t stop?”, Duang asked with a grin and Qin slapped his arm. “Move Duang. You started this”
Duang smirked as his hips started to grind down onto Qin’s length. Qin met him with upward thrusts and gripped onto both of Duangs hips. He pulled them down even harder and Duang let out a low groan at the sensation. He could feel the fully hardened cock rub against him, almost as if there were no clothing between them. But there was, and for Qin, this was pure delicious torture. The friction of the tight pants and Duang’s hips were heaven and hell for him. He felt the release in the pit of his stomach starting to build and his grip tightened.
Duang could feel the more desperate thrusts and grinded down in a different angle to help Qin release. The new angle made Qin moan into Duang’s shoulder loudly and he quickly bit down so that his moan would be muffled. Duang only groaned at the feeling of Qin’s teeth on his shoulder.
Qin stilled his thrusts and, with one more movement of Duang, Qin let out a low groan.
Duang’s face only flushed a little at the thought of Qin finishing in his pants. He adverted his attention to the room for a quick second. Noticing how Pansy was joined by Luna on the table and they were dancing to a completely different song now. He hadn’t even noticed the song changing.
Qin was breathing heavily against his shoulder, and he was ripped back to the situation he was in when Qin said with a groan. “Duang, get up”
Duang quickly moved to stand up, and the second Qin followed him to a standing position he was grabbed and pulled from the couches. Qin held his wrist tightly as he pulled Duang towards a corridor.
“Qin”, Duang said quickly in confusion, but they were already in the candlelit corridor.
He was pushed against a brick wall and Qin stared at him. This was the first time Duang was able to look closely at Qin and now he saw how his usual bright eyes had turned completely dark.
Qin only looked at him for a second, his eyes, his lips, his necklace. Duang gulped hard. Not knowing what Qin would do.
“Didn’t I tell you, you shouldn't start things you can’t finish?”, Qin said in a low voice, but Duang could only stare at the pretty lips in front of his face.
“I made you finish, though”, he smirked and Qin moved closer, which made him shut up immediately. “You’re braver than I thought”, Qin said with a grin on his face.
Duang’s eyes hastily switched between Qin’s lips and eyes. When he didn’t receive an answer from Duang, he moved closer, brushing his lips against Duangs cheek, moving slowly towards his ear.
Duang groaned lowly at the ticklish feeling. “Where are your words, Duang”, Qin whispered. Duang didn’t speak, he couldn’t. But his arms moved. His hands grabbed onto the waist in front of him, brushing his hands over the clothed skin.
Qin moved his head back a little and looked back into Duangs eyes. Duangs eyes were busy taking in as much of Qin’s face as possible.
Qin realized the deep concentration and tilted his head. “What are you looking at?”, he said teasingly and Duang huffed out a breath of air, he didn’t know he was holding.
“You’re so gorgeous it hurts”
Qin laughed a little. “Really?”
Duang hummed, and Qin saw the desperation laced with hunger behind Duangs usually innocent-looking eyes.
Qin’s grin grew. “Then be nice and I’ll let you fuck me”
Duangs eyes went wide at the sudden words. The bluntness, the roughness. But he couldn’t think much of it, because Qin was leaning in and crushing their lips together. Duang was too shocked to respond right away, but Qin moved quickly. His lips were kissing, devouring, tasting Duang at a pace Duang couldn’t keep up with.
Qin’s lips tasted like the absolute best thing he had ever tasted, and he knew right then that all the food in the world didn’t compare to this.
Their lips soon found a rhythm, lips clashing together, hungrily tasting one another. Duang’s arms moved to pull Qin even closer and Qin’s hands next to Duangs head on the wall, fell down to hold onto his head. Tangling into the hair.
The music was still loud here in the barely lit corridor, that surprisingly, conveniently was incredibly empty.
Duang moaned into the kiss when Qin grabbed onto his hair tighter and tugged gently. Qin was the first to let go and moved away only a few inches. Duang was out of breath, looking at him intently. Looking at the swollen, red lips, the only slightly tousled hair and his smirk.
Duang studied all this and looked down between their hips. They were both already semi hard and when Duang looked back into Qin’s eyes, he felt like the luckiest man on the planet.
Duang didn’t need to think much, his knees moved in its own and before he knew it he was on his knees between the wall and Qin. Qin groaned at the sight in front of him and while one hand still held onto Duangs hair, the other moved to steady himself on the wall.
Duang didn’t check the corridor before he opened Qin’s belt and trousers. The opened the zipper in a slow motion, while keeping eye contact.
“I said nice, Duang. No teasing”, Qin groaned and Duang only smirked up at him. “Okay Okay, I’ll be nice. Promise”
He tugged down the pants and Qin’s already hard length slapped against his stomach. It was red, from the previous orgasm and still wet from the release in Qin’s pants. It glistened and Duang immediately licked from the bottom to the top in one motion.
Qin’s head fell forward slowly, and he let out a deep sigh. “Duang”, he said, warning him with a stern voice. Duang smiled but took the head into his mouth. He licked up the remains of the evidence of their previous action with his tongue, swirling it around the top. Collecting all of the beads of liquid.
When he was sure, that Qin was completely clean, he moved to lick the head ones more. Earning a soft groan from Qin. The hand in his hair tightened and Duang understood immediately, slowly starting to bop his head up and down the length in his mouth. His hand came to grab the bottom, massaging it softly, earning loud noises from Qin, which echoed in the stone-clawed corridor.
His tongue moved quickly along the length with each movement. He moved further and further down. Sucking and licking. Qin’s moans were only interrupted shortly by his voice.
“Duang”
Duang halted in his movements for a short second. His slightly teary eyes looked up at Qin. He looked incredibly uncharacteristically obedient like this and Qin groaned at the sight of Duang on his knees. He moved his hand, tugging on Duang’s hair and moving him off his length.
Duang only looked in his eyes expectantly. “I’m going to guide you. Tap my thigh if it’s too much, okay?”, Qin said between heavy breaths. Duang looked up at him with a smile on his lips and he moved to take the tip back into his mouth.
Qin groaned at the warmth and adjusted his grip on Duang’s hair. He started slowly, moving his hips in slow motions into Duang’s mouth, slowly.
Duang relaxed his throat and when Qin had fully entered him , he could feel the hard tip pressing against the back of his throat. His nose touched Qin’s abdomen, and he gripped tightly onto Qin’s thigh for hold.
“Ready?”, Qin groaned and Duang let out a small hum in acknowledgement. The vibrations in his throat made Qin let out a soft moan and involuntarily buck his hips even further into Duangs mouth. “Fuck Duang”
Duang only moved his head a little, in small movements. Qin gripped his head tighter and started moving his hips in slow thrusts. Duang moved his head to meet the thrusts used his tongue as much as he could.
The thrusts soon turned more frantic, getting quicker and deeper. Duang started moaning when he felt the tight grip on his hair and also the steady movements of Qin fucking into his mouth. The moans sent vibrations through Qin’s length and he quickly became frantic. Duang’s eyes were filled with tears from the sensation of having Qin press against his throat again and again.
Tears fell from his eyes when he gagged a little against the constant pressure and movement in his throat. Qin’s moans were getting louder and his hips were stuttering. Duang moved quickly to meet his thrusts again.
“Duang…”, Qin moaned against the arm he was resting his head against. Duang moaned into the length, and it tipped Qin over the edge. He quickly moved to pull Duang off his member, but Duang resisted the pull, taking the tip back into his mouth. “Fuck Duang, you don’t have to…”, Qin groaned as Duang’s tongue swirled around the tip, collecting the first beads of Qin’s release. He moaned once more at the tight grip on his hair and Qin’s hips stuttered as hot release entered his mouth.
Duang swallowed it all, licking the remains from the tip. And let off with one final lick to the tip of Qin’s length.
When he looked up, Qin was a mess. His head pressed against the arm, which was holding him steady against the wall. Breathing heavily, with curly hair, sticking to his forehead with small beads of sweat.
“Duang. You’re impossible”, he managed to press out and Duang smiled up at him. He pressed short kisses to Qin’s hip bones and caressed his thigh with his hand. Helping him come down from the high. His hand moved Qin’s shirt up and he traced the kisses along the hip, moving up towards the abdomen and stomach. Pressing lingering kisses to every inch of Qin he could reach. The hand in his hair had increasingly softened and was now, merely lying on top of his head. His hands moved up to touch the waist and softly caressed the skin there, massaging it gently.
“Duang”, Qin whispered and Duang stopped his kisses for just a second, looking up at him.
Qin’s pupils were blown wide and Duang was sure that he could see the pure desire drip from them.
They stared at each other for a while before Qin continued. “You need to prepare me”, he said with a low voice. Duang gulped, the taste of Qin still on his tongue. He nodded his head carefully.
“Here?”, his voice came out hoarse. Qin looked up, along the corridor. “Yeah, no one is coming, this is a different corridor”, he said quickly.
Duang’s frown was replaced with a surprised look. Qin had created a different corridor than the ones with the laboratories. So no one would come in here. The faint music was still echoing against the brick walls and Duang looked into the other side, where the corridor didn’t seem to end.
“Where does it go?”, Duang asked curiously. Qin looked at him for a while. Then smirked. “Slytherin Commons”
Duang looked at him with an even more surprised look. “You can do that?” Qin hummed softly and tilted his head with a smile. “You’re so cute like this”
Duang blushed and quickly averted his eyes again. “Duang”, Qin laughed slightly and Duang looked back up at him.
“You need to prepare me”, Qin reminded him and Duang quickly nodded. Right.
Qin moved one of his legs onto Duang’s shoulder so that Duang would have a better angle and it would be more comfortable. His hand traced the inner thigh carefully and his lips followed suit. Pressing soft and hard kisses along the inner side of Qin’s thigh. Nibbling every now and then. His hand moved to the back of Qin’s backside and softly grazed the entrance. It was tight. He wasn’t sure if he could even stretch Qin that far.
Qin removed his hand from Duang’s head and grabbed his wand. He whipped it once and in a couple of seconds, a bottle came flying towards him.
Nonverbal magic. Qin was really one of Hogwarts best students.
Qin dropped the bottle into Duang’s lap and Duang quickly realized it contained lube. He looked up at Qin and before he could say anything, Qin blushed deeply. “I had to practice somehow. You took forever to make a move”
Duang’s jaw dropped. “What?”
Qin’s hand went back to Duang’s head. Cradling the jaw. “Duang. I’m not trying to be impatient, but if you don’t put your fingers in me, I’ll do it myself.”
Duang felt like he was hit over and over again. He quickly regained his composure to a certain degree and opened the bottle.
He used a little bit of the liquid to coat his fingers and moved to find Qin’s entrance again. He pressed soft kisses to the skin on Qin’s other hipbone. Tasting the skin, while his finger circled the entrance a little before pushing one finger in slowly.
Qin hissed a little at the feeling but nodded. “Keep going, it feels good”
Duang used his other hand to graze the skin on Qin’s thigh, calming him, pressing kisses and licks to the skin in an attempt to distract Qin.
Qin felt the pressure of Duang’s finger opening him up but he arched his back into the pressure, making Duang press into him further.
“Duang, add another finger”, he said with a whispered voice. “But.. I’m not even...”, Duang protested. Qin opened his eyes and looked at him.
“Do it”
Duang slowly removed his finger, which had only pushed in halfway and coated both his fingers to quickly return.
Qin groaned at the pressure when Duang pressed two fingers into him. His heel of the foot, slung over Duangs shoulder, pressed into his back, pulling him further into him. Qin’s back arched slightly and he let out soft moans.
Duang pressed further into him, now going past the halfway point, Qin’s body tensed momentarily at the pressure.
“Duang, keep going. God… Please don’t stop”, he heard the whispered, desperate voice. He pressed further, slowly bottoming out. Pressing into the deepest point possible. Qin’s head hung low. Gasping for air. “Duang…. Your fingers are so much bigger than mine, fuck”, he said between gasps and Duang’s head turned up at him. “Qin. You can’t say that”, Duang said in a whiny voice and he was suddenly very aware of the very hard length in his pants.
“Qin, I won’t last very long, if you keep saying these things”, Duang said with a pout on his lips. Qin looked at him and grinned at the sight beneath him.
Before he could respond, Duang started to move his fingers in soft thrusts, making Qin, throw his head back. “Fuck… Duang”
“What were you going to say?”, Duang teased him slightly as his fingers sped up in pace. Qin’s stifled moans were heard again and Duang wished he would never get used to them. They sounded so perfect. So supernatural, so enticing. So Qin.
Qin groaned. “You’re teasing”, Qin said lowly. Duang only hummed and kept a steady rhythm.
“I was going to say….”, Qin started to say, but was interrupted when Duang hit a spot with his fingers, which made Qin moan loudly. “Duang. Right there….fuck.. don’t stop”, his moans became loud enough for the hallway to echo it louder than the music.
Duang removed his fingers completely, which earned him a stern look from Qin. But it also offered Qin a small moment of ability to speak. “If you finish too fast, it might just mean I get to fuck you too”
Duang looked up at him. They held eye contact for a short while. Duang smirked. He slowly rose from his knees. He opened his pants, dropping them to pool at his feet. Stepping out of them swiftly.
“Is that right?”, Duang asked with a confident look, bringing their faces closer together.
Qin smirked back at him, looking down at Duang’s hard length, which was already leaking precum.
Duang pressed Qin against the Wall in one swift turn motion and closed the gap between them, kissing his lips in frantic rhythms. Qin moaned into the kiss, tasting his own release on Duang’s tongue.
Duang broke the kiss and turned Qin in a quick movement, pressing him against the wall. Qin’s face was pressed sideways into the stone brick wall and his hips pushed back a little. Arching his back.
His arms came up to support him on the wall. His left hand found one of the candle holder thingies and he grabbed onto it.
“Let’s see whether you can stand after this, then we can talk”, Duang said and lined himself up with Qin’s entrance. Qin groaned at the added pressure of Duang’s tip.
He didn’t press in yet, he left a small trace of kisses on Qin’s shoulder, onto his cheek and ear.
“Duang. If you tease…-“, Qin groaned but got cut off when Duang pushed into him in one motion. Qin’s hands clawed at the stone wall. “Fuck Duang… give me a warning”, he moaned against the wall. Duang chuckled as he stilled for a second. He wasn’t bottomed out, but he started moving in slow thrusts, moving in deeper with every push.
Qin was moaning loudly as the stretch sent sparks up his spine. Duang had to concentrate hard, Qin was tight, too tight. He should’ve added at least another finger. Qin was milking him with each push and if he wasn’t careful, he would finish embarrassingly fast.
He groaned as he took hold of Qin’s hips and thrusted into them at a faster pace. Qin started letting out small noises with each thrust and Duang held onto him tighter. Trying hard to keep his restraint.
“Duang…..harder…please”, Qin hummed and Duang stilled before finally pushing all the way into him in one quick push. Qin pressed against the wall with a short scream. His legs trembled slightly at the overfullness.
Duang held him there for a few seconds, taking the moment to admire Qin in this state. Curly hair unruly around his head, pressed into a stone wall. Hands trembling to hold onto something. Back arched slightly into Duang, Hips lifted faintly, his round backside pressing into him further with his legs slightly trembling.
His face was pure pleasure. His mouth hung wide open, lips swollen and red. His eyes were closed but laced with soft tears. Hair pressed to his face, slightly damp. His neck was laced with noticeable kiss marks.
Qin was panting against the stone wall and Duang couldn’t stop staring, but he got ripped from the trance when Qin started moving slowly. He arched his back further and moved up and down Duang’s length. Duang groaned but just observed for a short second. Watching the place where both of them were joined together.
Qin moved in slow thrusts but his legs were making it hard for him to keep a steady pace, the wall also made it incredibly hard to move.
Duang gripped onto the hips slightly tighter and met Qin with his next thrust. They moaned and Duang started to set a punishing pace. Qin arched back further, slipping down a little on the wall, changing the angle.
The thrusts were hard and sent Qin into the stone wall with each push. The feeling of pure ecstasy ran through his body, each thrust felt like he was a a bit closer to heaven.
The sounds filled the corridor in echoed noises, which became increasingly frantic. Duang leaned to press kisses to Qin’s neck and with the new angle, Duang hit a spot in Qin, pressing into it firmly. Qin let out a loud scream. It echoed through the corridor and Duang was half expecting someone to round the corner in the next second.
Qin was stuttering, trying to form a sentence as Duang kept still, pressing into the spot with his tip. His legs were shaking and Duang moved his hands, one arm slinging around Qin’s waist, to hold him up.
Duang slowly started moving his hips in slow but deep thrusts, hitting the spot with every push. Qin turned into a moaning mess. His hand slid from the candle holder thingy and steadied itself on the wall instead.
Duang knew he was very close. He could feel the pressure build up, and his body was begging for a release.
“Qin...”, he groaned, his hot breath fanning over Qin’s back.
“God you’re so pretty like this”, Duang kissed a hot, wet kiss to Qin’s upper spine. Qin’s hips met him with each thrust, filling him till the brim with Duang.
“I’m close”, he whined against the hot, sweat-covered skin and delivered three quick thrusts, his hips were getting out of rhythm and his breathing quicker.
“Duang”, Qin said quickly in between moans, his face looked a complete mess. But he managed to press out his next words. “If you finish before I do. I’m finishing inside you.”, Qin said with a smirk on his face. Duang’s hips stuttered.
The idea of Qin ….
“Are you serious?”, Duang panted out. His hips moving slowly into Qins. “I can still stand, so yeah”, Qin smirked. Duang groaned and moved his hips in a quick pace, pushing into Qin, feeling the friction and tightness surrounding him, when he pressed into Qin’s prostate once more, Qin tightened involuntarily, it was too tight.
Duang’s vision became white around the edges as he desperately thrust into it. With one last deep push, he buried himself deeply against Qin’s prostrate and Qin moaned at the feeling of getting even fuller than he was before.
“Fuck Duang”, he voiced in between moans. “That was….”, Duang groaned loudly, riding out his release and pressing it further against Qin’s prostate.
“Duang, pull out, I’ll actually come, if you keep doing that”, Qin moaned, feeling his release burning in his abdomen, but it was too soon.
He had to be inside Duang.
Duang cursed, slowly pulling out, Qin hissed slightly at the now cold, empty feeling.
“Do you want me to do a cleaning spell?”, Duang asked, as he looked at the state of Qin. Sweaty, Duangs release spilling out of him and tear-stained face.
Qin slowly stood up, Duang’s arm still supporting his weight. “No, I think we should shower”, Qin said and looked at him over his shoulder. A smirk was evident on his face.
Duang furrowed his eyebrows. “A shower?”, Duang asked quickly. A door appeared next to the candle holder thingie in the brick wall.
The magic of the room of requirements.
Duang slowly let go and made sure Qin could stand slowly. When he opened the door, he was met with a steamy room, filled with candles, and in the middle a big shower, surrounded by glass walls. The shower stood in the middle of the room, water falling from above, an invisible shower head. The round glass walls surrounded a small area of the tiled floor. The walls, laced with mirrors. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Duang looked back at Qin, who had only pushed him into the room.
“Wow you must require something really bad, to come up with something like this”, Duang grinned at him. Qin only shrugged and moved to remove the shirt, which was already bunched up on his neck. His pants left next and his very hard length was the first thing Duang focused on.
Duang removed his clothes next. Standing completely bare in front of Qin.
“God you’re pretty”, he said to Qin, as he followed him into the glass-covered shower. Qin only looked at him from over his shoulder. “You aren’t part Veela are you?”, Duang asked carefully. While the semi-human supernatural creatures were stunningly gorgeous, they were also dangerous.
Qin laughed, he looked at Duang. “Do I have that effect on you?”, he asked with a teasing smile. Duang nodded, feeling once again captivated by his gaze. “It’s so hard to look away”. He said, his voice still groggy from his high.
Qin tilted his head a bit. “I’m not blonde”, he said. “That doesn’t answer my question”, Duang said carefully.
Qin laughed loudly. “Oh, Duang, you’re so cute. Don’t worry, okay?” Qin grabbed his wrist and pulled him under the water. They got soaked quickly and the hot water streamed down his body in a temperature that relaxed his tensed muscled.
“Duang”, Qin said softly as he leaned in and kissed around the area of Duangs silver necklace. Qin found it absolutely attractive how Duang stood there, completely naked, only wearing the necklace he bought him a year ago.
He kissed the collarbone, bit on the skin, left a bite mark for people to see.
Duang hummed in acknowledgement, head thrown back and eyes closed. “Are you okay with this?”, Qin whispered against his wet skin, leaving a trail of soft kisses, leading up to his face.
Before he reached Duangs lips he continued. “…if I do it too?”, Qin asked with a smirk on his face. Duang groaned. Softly, staring into Qin’s eyes. “Yes”, he answered almost immediately. Never more sure about an answer.
“Really?”, Qin tilted his head but Duang only nodded eagerly. “Absolutely”
Qin pushed him against one of the glass walls, his hands roaming over Duang’s chest. Duang took the time to look over Qin’s completely naked body for the first time, taking It in.
His shoulders were slimmer than his, his waist fit perfectly into his hand, and his chest showed the amount of physical training he did on the Quidditch team. His skin was pale, and without any blemishes, you could hardly see pores. The only marks were the hickeys and bite marks that Duang had left earlier.
The pale skin looked incredibly light in contrast to Qin’s dark hair. His dark hair and eyes. And then there were his pink lips. Still swollen. His red cheeks from where he had been pressed into the wall.
Duang couldn’t believe he was real.
Qin’s hands moved steadily across Duangs’s body, touching each inch of him, as if mapping him out. “Duang, you’re…”, Qin started but stopped himself.
He grinned. “Never mind”
Duang doesn’t have the chance to be confused because Qin turns him around in the next second. Pressing his upper body against the glass wall. Through the glass, Duang was able to see himself in the mirror. He looked just as messy as Qin, his hair unruly from all the tugging. A very prominent trail of kiss marks on his collarbone and Qin behind him, smirking into the mirror.
“God damnit Qin”, he whispered under his breath. “First talk with me today, huh?”, Qin chuckled under his breath. Duang felt Qin’s finger circle his entrance and he forgot how articulate an answer.
His forehead leaned against the glass wall, his eyes closed. “I’ve never done this”, Duang said under his breath. “I know”, Qin said, while kissing his shoulder softly. His finger pushed into Duang and Duang hadn’t even realized Qin had put lube on them. He let out a small whimper against the glass, making it fog up in the process. Qin stopped dead in his tracks.
“Do the sound again”, Qin groaned, in complete awe of Duang’s reaction. Duang shook his head in embarrassment and received a soft kiss to his cheek from Qin. He pushed the finger all the way in and Duang bit his lips, to refrain from making a sound.
“Duang”, Qin whined against his back. “It was so pretty, let me hear it again”, his voice sounded low and soft against the sounds of water falling onto the tile floor.
Duang felt the sensation of Qin’s hot body pressed against him, while his feet stood on the cold tile floor. His upper body pressed against the cool glass, which was slowly starting to fog up more and more.
Qin moved his finger softly in and out of Duang slowly. Short thrusts to make him used to the feeling. The stretch and sensation were a lot and if this was only one finger, Duang didn’t know how to survive all of Qin.
When Qin slowly let go of Duang, removing his fingers, Duang let out a sigh of disappointment. In the next second, two fingers returned and when Qin pushed them in, the stretch was undeniably more pleasurable. Duang moaned against the painful stretch, letting it fill him up. He softly said Qin’s name over and over in a whisper.
“Louder, Duang”, Qin said from behind him. Duang only groaned, but pushed back his hips slightly. “Qin, please more”
Qin continued his soft kisses to Duang’s cheek, neck and shoulder and moved his fingers in a steady pace. When Qin added a third finger, Duang was gone. His soft moans couldn’t be hidden by the bite of a lip anymore, so he let out soft, breathy moans. “Duang, you sound so good”, Qin mumbled against the skin. “Feel so good… so tight”, he continued.
“Qin, please”, he whined against the hard glass, his breath fogging up the transparent wall even more. Qin removed his fingers and leaned to kiss Duang. The kiss was messy, wet, and desperate. Duang moaned into it, trying to deepen the kiss, when Qin moved away and broke it.
Duang looked at him with the most desperate eyes he had ever seen.
Qin quickly moved to wipe the fog from the glass. “Look at yourself”, he instructed and Duang immediately followed suit. He felt one hand on his hip, and Qin’s other hand came to press against the glass wall next to his face.
He felt the tip of Qin’s length rub against his entrance. “Look how good you look, like this. Look what a mess I made of you.” Qin whispered.
Duang groaned at the words, his eyes looked at their position in the mirror. It was gorgeous. Breathtaking.
When he felt the stretch of the tip, he let out another whine he couldn’t conceal this time. Qin stilled in his movements. Duang was now more focused on the pleasure of the stretch than the embarrassment of his sounds. He let out shaky breaths. “Qin”, he whined and his hands pressed against the glass. Qin used his hand on the glass to take Duang’s hand and trap it under his own, holding his hand against the glass. “If you make that sound again, I’ll cum before being fully inside you”, he said with a hoarse voice.
Duang groaned. Qin pushed in a little further, very carefully. Duang’s face twisted in a mix of pain and pleasure. “You can take it, you’re doing so well”, Qin brushed his lips softly over his neck in reassurance. Duang relaxed a little more and Qin delivered a final push and bottomed out. The shower was filled with a deep moan from Qin and a soft whine, Duang couldn’t hold.
“Fuck, Duang, you’re so tight, so tight for me”, Qin rambled as he tried focusing. Duang’s soft whines of pleasure. The whining softly turned into moaning when Qin started to slowly move his hips in steady thrusts.
The thrusts sent Duang into the glass wall repeatedly. The pressure was too much. The thrusts were getting quicker and became a punishing force against his walls. Qin’s grip on his hand tightened. “You take me so well, look at how you whine for me”, his rough voice sounded over Duang’s whines.
Duang let his head hang low, falling between his chest and the wall. He was letting out sounds, he had lost control over a long time ago.
Qin’s thrusts started to become less frequent but deeper. He pressed his hand onto Duang’s back, forcing him to arch into Qin more. His hips shifted ever so slightly and suddenly Duang let out a loud moan.
“God Qin, what was that”, he stuttered. Qin stayed buried in Duang for a second. He angled his hips and when he brushed against the spot again, Duang’s knees threatened to buckle “Fuck…”, Duang said, his voice was shaky and uneven.
Qin chuckled slowly and started softly riding his hips into the spot with shallow but hard pumps. Duang was in a state of pure pleasure. His vision was blurring and his ears began ringing.
His abdomen contracted and he felt the pleasure building. Somehow, between his panting whines and moans, he kept repeating Qin’s name. Repeating it like a mantra. His head still hung low but was softly gripped by Qin’s hand. He moved Duang’s head to look up, through the glass into the mirror.
He could see each thrust Qin delivered right into the spot that made him see stars. He could see, that his mouth was open, tears filled with eyes and messy hair. Qin stood behind him. He looked so much different than earlier. His soft eyes now seemed dark and determined.
His movements quickly turned into full thrusts again. He pulled out almost completely before slamming back into Duang, which knocked the breath out of him. He whined under the pressure and pleasure.
“Qin”
“Qin”
“Qin”
“Qin”
“Qin”
His moans got louder and he knew he was close. He had never felt this much pleasure at the same time. “Fuck”, Qin groaned loudly.
“Duang, I’m close”, he muttered against Duang’s hair. “Look at you. Look at your tear-stained face, your red swollen lips, your hair….fuck…Duang…Look at how well you take me”
He delivered three hard thrusts against the spot where Duang needed him most and the blunt force of the first thrust sent Duang over the edge, coming undone against the shower wall.
Qin delivered the rest of the thrusts and then came to his own release, joining Duang in shaky breaths and gasps for air.
He softly rode out his high against Duang’s prostate, and Duang whined at the overstimulation. “I’m sorry”, Qin delivered a final kiss to his shoulder and softly pulled out. They were trying to catch their breath, still pressed against each other, before Qin moved to clean both of them up.

Duang spent the night in the Slytherin dormitories. And while it wasn’t the first time he was in the common rooms of the house, it was his first time in a dormitory and definitely his first time sleeping over.
When he woke in the morning, his and Qin’s legs were deeply entangled. Qin’s head laid on his bicep, and his face was squished cutely. Duang admired him for a short while before he realized what kind of situation he was in. It still felt like a dream. But when Qin opened his eyes and rubbed them to get the sleep out of his eyes, he could only grin.
Qin sat up softly, stretching his arms. “Duang”, he said, turning back to him with a mischievous smile. “Sit with me at breakfast”
Duang sat up. Sitting at another table wasn’t forbidden, it was encouraged outside of official dinners like the welcome dinner or Halloween. But Duang knew that sitting with Qin would mean showing their friends where they had disappeared to last night.
Qin smirked. “Oh, come on”
Duang couldn’t say no. Not to Qin.
So that’s how he found himself outside of the great hall, following Qin. The big doors opened and Qin walked in. Duang hesitated just for a moment before walking in after him. The great hall was still empty, it was rather early, and classes didn’t start till next week. Lots of students didn’t come down for breakfast or came later. But he knew Jamie and Pae would be there.
He didn’t have to look, he could hear them before he entered the great hall.
“Khun Qin,”, Jamie’s voice sounded through the hall. When Duang stepped in, chaos broke loose. Jamie and Pae sprang from their seats at the Slytherin table. May, who was sitting next to them, only grinned. “Oi Duang”, Jamie said loudly, waiting for Duang to get to the table. Qin sat down next to May and Duang quickly sat down beside him. Ignoring Pae and Jamie.
“Where did you go off too?”, Pae said with a teasing smirk and wiggling eyebrows. Duang loaded scrambled eggs onto the plate in front of him and made an effort not to look into anyone’s eyes.
He could hear Qin chuckle softly beside him and Jamie and Pae sat down, but not without continuing to stare him down. Duang got exactly two bites into his breakfast before two figures plopped down on the other side of the table, next to Jamie and Pae.
He looked up and was met by Fred and George. “Enjoyed last night?-“, Fred asked.
“-Seemed a lot of Fun”, George continued.
Duang choked on his toast and Qin quickly handed him his tea. The twins shared an amused look before leaning in. “Have you had time to try out some of the candy?”, Fred asked curiously and George continued: “You’re our most trusted test subject”
Duang glanced at his friends and Qin, unsure of what to say. The green candy definitely worked. Duang has never been luckier than last night. That’s for certain. But did he want to admit to Qin, that everything happened because he ate a lucky candy?
He couldn’t.
But May spoke before he could.
“Oh they work alright. Duang ate the green one and immediately got lucky. First, he drew the right card from my deck. Then he got to sit on Qin’s lap, and who knows how lucky he got last night”
The twins looked at each other with a look.
Duang buried his head in his hands, and Qin sent a confused look into the group.
“The green ones, yeah?”, George asked with a grin. And Jamie nodded. “The ones that bring you luck”
Fred and George laughed. “Mate. I don’t know why you got lucky tonight. But it wasn’t the candy. The green ones are pure sugar”, Fred explained.
“They come in handy, because we all need candy sometimes”, George explained.
The four friends looked at them in shock. “Are you sure?”, Pae asked in disbelief and the twins nodded their heads in unison. “I don’t care how lucky you got last night, but it takes a lot of luck to pick the only candy without magic”, one of them explained.
Duang groaned harder, while Jamie and Pae burst out laughing.
“Did you think I slept with you because you took lucky candy?”, Qin’s lips twisted into a smile, trying not to laugh at the situation.
“WOAH”, Jamie exclaimed loudly and was followed by May and Pae. “You guys had sex?”, Pae asked in disbelief.
Qin smirked as Duang slowly raised his head to send him a glare. A glare without any real heat behind it. But Qin only laughed softly before turning to their friends.
“Not just once”, he said and received a soft slap from Duang, while their friends and the twins erupted into a fit of loud cheers and screams.
Duang wanted to bury himself in the ground.
“Can we talk about something else?”, he tried changing the subject. And was glad when Fred jumped onto it.
“We heard you guys are changing positions in the first game? It’s against us, isn’t it?”, Fred looked at May and Qin. Jamie, who was also part of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, started grinning. “Right, easy win for us this year, eh?”, he asked and high-fived the Weasley twins.
Qin and May only exchanged looks.
