"Pokke-kun, before you go, do you see that bottle of pills on the table?", Agnes Tachyon asks.
Jungle Pocket takes a look, noticing an unlabeled bottle. She vaguely remembers having seen Tachyon's trainer with a similar bottle before. "Yeah. What about it?", she asks.
"Please take it to your dorm and start taking these instead of your estrogen pills for a while."
"What? What are these?"
"I call it Umastrogen. I made it for Lena to turn her body into that of an Umamusume. And what kind of scientist would I be if I didn't test its effects on someone who was already an Umamusume before taking it?", Tachyon explained, beaming with excitement.
"Well, if you insist." Pokke picks up the bottle and leaves.
A few weeks later, Tachyon starts running tests on Pokke.
"So far, everything seems as expected. Tell me, Pokke-kun, have you been noticing any unexpected changes yourself?"
"Uhmmm…" Pokke hesitates.
"Come on, you can tell me! This is medcial, it might be important."
"My ears have been getting more sensitive lately", Pokke admits.
"Fascinating!" Tachyon begins rubbing Pokke's ears to see her reaction. "Cafe has reported the same, but nothing of the sort is happening with Lena. Maybe that will change once I perform the ear transplant."
Pokke is trying her hardest not to blush as Tachyon is rubbing her ears. "W-wait, you're also experimenting on Cafe?"
"Naturally I also need to test the effects on someone who wasn't already taking estrogen. Was it my imagination or did you sound a bit jealous there, dear Pokke-kun?"
"I-"
"Please, you should know you're my favourite guineau pig." She gives Pokke a quick kiss on the forehead. "That about wraps up my tests here, but there is one more thing i want to see. Please run a lap outside, 2400 meters, your best distance."
Pokke starts running while Tachyon observes and takes her time.
For the first 1000 meters, she runs a bit slower than usual. Not unexpected, she was currently training for the much longer Spring Tenno Sho after all.
The next 1000 meters are much closer to her usual pace. She enters the final straight, ready to unleash her explosive spurt, when suddenly it looks like she's about to fall over.
Tachyon jumps up and runs towards her, ready to help, but instead of falling over, Pokke suddenly begins running on all fours.
Using her arms as if they were a second pair of legs, she runs right past a puzzled Tachyon and crosses the finish line.
