Chapter Text
Purring.
Morax was purring in his sleep and Lumine found herself smiling up at the man, or rather Archon, who seemed to be fast asleep. His tail was curled around her, keeping her secure, warm and protected. It actually wasn’t an unpleasant feeling. Though if she had to go to the restroom, she was sort of out luck, because then he’d know and THAT was embarrassing. A tail, an actual tail, she thought to herself, careful not to get carried away and touch the appendage, or else risk waking up the man.
The sun was starting to peak into the room, a sign that she had gotten up earlier than she normally did. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing, but Lumine considered herself an afternoon type of girl. What was she actually doing waking up at this time?
“…” she could think of a couple of reasons why.
One would be the change of scenery they were in, the second could possibly be because she had sort of passed right out after having a hot, steamy encounter with the man and the third was because today was the day, she’d get to hear and or see Paimon again. In retrospect, this was probably the main reason she was up. Needing to see a friendly familiar face, was something Lumine desperately needed. Whether it be Paimon, or her brother, heck, she'd even take Albedo or Klee. It didn't matter! The fact Morax was even allowing such a thing to happen in the first place, spoke volumes and she hoped everything would go okay. Getting back to work, even in Liyue, was something that would put some normalcy back in her life, in her time spent here.
The second reason was still engrained in her mind, and she moved her legs a little, thighs rubbing together, remembering how he had made her feel, while using his mouth and fingers. Sex, even if it didn’t involve penetration, was starting to become something she looked forward too. Lumine was never adverse to having sex, it was all a matter of finding the right partner. She was beginning to trust her body entirely in Morax’s hands, despite knowing what kind of man he could become. That thought was meant for both his attitude, business personality and the fact he was a very, massive and big DRAGON Archon. The size of him was just... Still a lot to consider, especially when his hands made her turn into absolute mush, whenever he roved over her body. It was a bit intimadating, there was just no way of stopping him, if he were to truly lose control.
But he would never hurt me. She told herself, hands splaying against his broad, massive chest. He wouldn’t…
There was nothing she could do in this moment to detach herself from the man and she would definitely bring this up later, because the more she kept thinking about water, the more she started to have the urge to tinkle. Try as she might not to think of the restroom, there she was thinking of the toilet.
Oh boy…

Xiao stood outside Morax’s bedroom, patiently awaiting the man to venture out. There were two bits of information he needed to tell the Boss, before continuing with his routine. He was a little out of sorts, since usually he would waltz right in. But given their guest, or rather Lumine, was with him, something told him that he needed to make sure not to overstep his bounds.
“…” he didn’t know how to feel yet about Lumine Tigel. There was definitely a change occurring in the Boss, a change most assuredly brought on by Lumine, but he had yet to form an opinion.
Though from what he had witnessed inside the kitchen, it made him hold a little hope in his heart for the future. Lumine was... Good people. That was a saying was it not? He had heard a couple of conversations with that term being slung around and so why not use it for her? She was, good people. At least, from what he had seen so far. However, change, especially in their world, could either be good or... Bad. Considering that Morax had killed Lionel, that was already a pretty HUGE change and yet, it needed to be done. The man was a hindrance and it was either now or later, that his annihilation would have happened.
"It gave me something to do." he muttered to himself.
He could hear movement on the other side, as well as hear a conversation going on. It wasn’t as if he was trying to eavesdrop, Morax did in fact know that he was outside, their auras were always visible to the man. Crossing his arms in front of his chest, Xiao pursed his lips, eyes slightly narrowing.
“Oh, Xiao is outside?”
That he heard clearly, especially when he could tell that Lumine was getting closer to the door as she said it. He went on alert, the moment the door started to click open, and he did his best in hiding his frazzledness, as she appeared now in the frame of the door.
“Hey, Xiao. Mornin’.”
“Good morning.”
“Seeing as we are gonna be partners pretty soon, I’d figure we start our slate clean. What do you say?”
“I am unsure as to what you mean? Partners?”
Lumine snapped her fingers, “Oh that’s right, he hasn’t told you yet.” Looking over her shoulder, she eyed the door to the restroom, having ordered the dragon to change in there, rather then beside the alcove. She definitely wasn't ready to see a butt naked Morax, that much was for sure. “Well… Nothing is really set in stone, but,” turning to look back at Xiao, she came to smile. “, I might be able to start back up my business! Getbacking!”
“Is that so.” Xiao murmured, more to himself, then to her.
“Mhm! Though one thing he said is ‘you won’t be alone’” she tried to mimic the dragon, laughing as she failed miserably. “He said either himself, you or Ganyu could help me out. I mean, I could do it myself, but that’s a no go.” She made a funny face, grimacing a bit. "He wasn't really a fan of that idea. In fact, he sort of really hated it."
“I can hear you; you know.” Stepping from the restroom, fixing his collar as he moved, Morax arched an eyebrow towards Lumine, who smiled sweetly over to him. “Your mimicry skills could do with some work, my little rose.”
Lumine snickered, leaning forward to whisper to Xiao, “He only calls me ‘His little rose’ when he thinks I’m being mean.”
Morax began to chuckle, “You are not wrong, but it is more so when I think you are showing me your feisty, mischievous and stubborn side. Never would I think you are 'mean', far from it, my rose.”
“Right, right.” Grinning, Lumine threw thumbs up at Xiao, who seemed a bit taken aback by the whole scenario. “So, yeah! Hope you and I can get along in the future! I’d shake your hand, but like I said, nothing is set in stone!”
Morax watched the display from the center of the room, waiting on Xiao’s response, curious to see how the adeptus would react. He sensed the man’s hesitation but could also see the acceptance on his face. He trusted Xiao to keep Lumine safe, there was hardly anything that got past the Yaksha, but that wasn’t exactly what he was concerned for. Maybe he was being a little bit too territorial, but as a dragon, the urge to mark’s ones possession was prominent. Xiao was a good looking man, young and talented, he would be remissed in not thinking that Lumine would not find him somewhat attractive. It did irk him a bit, but he had already warned Xiao and he trusted Lumine.
“Very well. We shall see what happens.”
Lumine nodded towards the statement, alright with accepting that answer. “Errr, I guess you’re here to give the big boss man news?”
“Big… Boss man?” Morax chuckled softly, shaking his head with mirth. “Honestly, your vocabulary is unique, though I am quite amused whenever you do open your mouth.”
“I try~!” winking, Lumine started away from the door, waltzing her way past Morax, giving the two their space.
After breakfast, then she’d be allowed into the manor’s main hub room, where she’d be able to get in touch with Paimon’s IP address, putting her smack dab into their system. Morax had told her twice that Keqing would be overseeing everything, and she had agreed whole heartily. Relationships were built on trust, but trust needed to be earned.
It was fair.
After all, a man needed to be cautious with his entire network being used. Technically, Paimon could become a virus and break down every line of code on their system, but her friend would never do such a thing. Not unless ordered and not unless it was order by one of the Tigel twins. Lumine was certain Aether had no intention of poking the bees nest, especially not after knowing what happened with Razor.
“…” Aethie… You better not have said anything weird to Paimon. This is my one chance to see both you and her! She didn’t want anything else fucking up her stay here. I’m not mad at them and if they are upset with me.. I can understand that too.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Lumine sort of ignored the two who were talking amongst each other. Xiao was talking about the events of last night, something about a body and sending a message. The last thing Lumine needed was to know Morax killed someone while they had been separated.
“…” that would mean she couldn’t leave him alone for a second. Yeah, but that person could have deserved it. Gradually she started to open up to the conversation, overhearing Morax telling Xiao that’d he handle the empty position and that he was proud of the work performed.
“I am hopeful now people won’t think I am growing soft and lax. Lionel was a thorn in my side that I left alone for far to long.”
“I expect there will be an increase of offerings your way veritably soon. Ningguang has already received a few donations from a few of the ally shops in Liyue.”
Morax grunted, “Of course. This is all good news.”
Lumine tilted her head slightly, piecing together bits and pieces of the conversation and drawing her own conclusions. She’d ask about all of this later, because she needed to learn everything eventually. Lionel was dead, Morax had told her himself and she was very aware that he had done the deed.
How many more people would he kill? Would she be able to stop any of it? She had been telling the truth, Lumine didn’t want to impede his work, but at the same time she did want to make his life better. Continuing to be a threat was… Not making things better.
For now though…
Clear mind, clear mind…
