Chapter Text
You blink away the spots swirling around your vision. Shit. Must’ve blacked out for a second. You start to regain your bearings, and groan when you realize Sam is still inside you, thick and heavy, but slowly softening.
Sam is hovering over you, panting gently as he braces his weight on his forearms that bracket your head. His breath washes over your sweat-slick skin and you fail to suppress a shiver, unintentionally squeezing down on him.
He lets out a broken-sounding “shit y/n, don’t tighten up-” as he trembles slightly from the strain of holding himself up.
You decide to take pity on him, so you wrap your legs around him and swing them to flip the both of you over, so that you’re lying on top instead.
During the process he moves inside of you, his softening cock still suppressing the flood of slick and cum from leaking out of your pliant pussy. He hisses at the sensation. “Wha- I don’t think I can go again,” He mumbles, embarrassed.
You laugh breathily and lay your head on his broad chest. “Neither can I. You completely wrecked my shit, dude.” At this, a grin reaches his lips. “I just didn’t want you to crush me when your arms gave out.”
You shift a little, and his cock, now soft enough, slips out of you. You make a noise of surprise as you feel his seed drip out of your entrance.
As you leak out onto his stomach, Sam has a worrying thought. “Do we need to get some…emergency contraception for you?” As full as it makes his heart to imagine himself starting a family with you, it would probably be a bad idea to do it right now.
“Nope, I have an IUD. I’m good for another 5 years,” you reply. “I just have a breeding kink.”
Sam chuckles. “I couldn’t tell.”
You half-heartedly slap his chest. “Like you weren’t going absolutely feral for it too.”
"I don't know what you're talking about," he murmurs as you feel him trace a hand down your back, gather up the spilled cum with his fingers, and gently push it back inside you. You sigh happily.
Sam finally has the time to consider his earlier words.
I…told her I loved her. Right as I came, like a fucking virgin. Maybe she didn’t hear me?
He’s wrong. You heard. You definitely heard, and you’re using all of your mental faculties right now to keep your heart rate down. You’re definitely tamping down the urge to run, to hide, and shield yourself from the raw messiness that comes with having feelings. But you take a breath, fortifying yourself.
If there’s one thing I’m not, it’s chickenshit, you think to yourself, and you decide to take a leap of faith.
“Sam? Did you mean it?” You ask Sam quietly, and his heart drops into his stomach. He must be frozen, because you lift your head to look at him after a beat, gazing into his eyes.
Something in his face must give you the wrong impression, because your own expression falters. “I mean, it’s-it’s fine if it was just the sex talking, it’s just-” You start to pull away and Sam panics. He grips you tight and catches your gaze; “What?” He questions, “It’s just what?”
Time to fuck everything up, I guess. “It would just be nice…if the feeling was mutual. That’s all.” You say with a sigh.
Time slows to a stop. “Wh-what?” Sam stammers. She can’t be saying-
“I love you, Sam. Sorry it took me so long to ‘fess up,” you say, almost sheepishly.
“H-how long?” He stares, dumbfounded.
“...Since the first nest we found, or at least that’s when I started taking notice,” you respond quietly.
What? That was months ago now, Sam thinks feverishly. He clears his throat. “That was months ago,” he whispers.
“Yeah. I don’t “do” real emotions.” You confess to him. “I’ve been closed off since my parents died, and it only got worse when Arthur went too.” He gives you a sympathetic look at the mention of your adoptive father, a late great hunter. “I learned pretty quickly that everyone wants the manic pixie dream girl but no one ever sticks around when she isn’t being quirktastic all the time.”
You continue, “So I keep it all in. And hope that eventually I forget about it, or leave it in the past.” You look deep into Sam’s eyes. “But I don’t want to forget you. And I’m not leaving anytime soon.”
Sam swallows around the lump in his throat. He has to dignify your confession with a proper response.
“Y/n.” He breathes, hand coming up to cup the back of your head. “Everything that I have, everything I am, is better now because you’re in my life." You're speechless.
"I love you. I love you so much. I’m sorry it took me this long to realize, which is completely ridiculous because I probably fell in love the moment I saw you getting this (he thumbs the tattoo on your hip) done in your fucking dorm room kitchen on a Tuesday afternoon the week before finals.”
A flush spreads across your cheeks at the memory. The day we met. “No way,” you protest weakly.
“Yes way,” Sam says, starting to grin.
“So what are we now, dating? Boyfriend and girlfriend'?” You say, a little sarcastically but a little giddily as well.
“Y/n, I could marry you tomorrow.” Sam says, just a little too serious to be fully joking. “But yeah, maybe we’ll start with dating.”
“Sounds good to me.” You smile at him, cataloging his features, and then lean in for a kiss. It’s lazy and wet and perfect. You sigh and snuggle further into Sam, needing to be as close as humanly possible.
He reaches down to grab the blankets and pull them over the two of you, then hugs you tight.
You settle in, ready to fall asleep. Then, you hear Sam snort. “Dean’s gonna have a conniption.”
“Dean can eat my ass.” You mutter drowsily.
“Not if I get to it first,” Sam responds, sleepily groping your backside.
You and he fall asleep smiling.
