In the morning, she wakes up on a riverbank.
Clementine: Hello?
"Guys the screen is on!" Lee shouts from where he was sitting staring at the screen, all the others breakaway from their conversations and all quickly sit down
Clementine walks over to a canoe
The canoe says "JR. TANUKI'S KIDS CAMP" and is split in two, the other half stuck on some rocks in the river.
Clementine jumps and grabs the top ledge of the broken stairs, pulling herself up.
Clementine: Christa, are you there?
Christa lets out a quiet sob with the realisation that even with how bad Christa treated her since the baby passed away, Clementine is still worried and looking for her. Omid gently rubs her back a little bit
Clementine walks along the trail ahead.
Clementine looks at a sign
The sign says:
YOU MAY ENCOUNTER:
BLACK BEARS
COYOTES
MOUNTAIN LIONS
POISONOUS SNAKES
OR OTHER SPECIES
BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS
Clementine climbs over the fallen tree in her path. She continues walking, eventually hearing the bushes rustle, discovering a dog. He growls at her.
Clementine: It's okay, boy, it's okay...
"Oh god Clemmy please be careful" Diana puts her hands over her eyes for a second
Clementine: (checks collar) "Sam". Well, nice to meet you, Sam.
Sam walks a short distance away and sniffs the ground.
Clementine: What's he doing?
Sam barks and runs off.
Clementine: Sam. Sam!
Clementine: Where are you going? Wait up!
Clementine follows Sam to a campsite.
Clementine: Hello?! Looks pretty run over, but you never know. Let's look around for some food.
Clementine: Hey! Wanna play? Wanna play catch?
Everyone smiles seeing Clem act like the 11 year old that she is supposed to be
Clementine: Fine. It's your decision. Do what you think is right.
Talk to Sam
Clementine: Find anything yet?
Clementine searches the trash barrel.
Clementine: Well... here we go.
Clem rolls up her sleeves and digs in the trash, finding a can of beans.
Clementine: Oh, my God. Thank you!
"I never let clem near the metal cans when we were cooking, i hope she saw me open them and knows how to safely" Diana seems to be getting more stressed the longer this goes on
Clementine: Look, Sam, a can!
Clementine: Now I just need... something to open it with.
Clementine approaches one side of the camp, and Sam barks.
Clementine: What's the matter, Sam?
Sam continues barking.
Clementine: Shh! We have to be quiet.
Clementine approaches Sam/tries to talk to him and sees that he's barking at a walker tied to a tree.
Clementine: It's okay. He's dead. Look, you can see the bite. Looks like he tried to cut it out.
Clementine: But that never works. Ever.
Lee looks at his arm which he had cut off "no... it doesn't"
Clementine: It's okay. We're smart and he's not. We're smarter than all of them.
Lee smiles hearing clem recite his advice
Clementine: Hey, it's okay, boy, shh. He can't hurt us. Think he had himself tied up, or did someone force him to do this?
Clementine picks up a nearby branch.
Clementine: Stand back, okay?
Clementine repeatedly smashes the walker's head with the branch until it dies.
Clementine: See? We just have to stay out of their reach.
Diana grimaces because of what her child is having to do to survive
Clementine: I like to think that...if they were alive, they'd probably want to help you. (searches pocket) Nothing.
Clementine grabs the knife and wipes off the blood.
Clementine: Still pretty sharp.
Clementine: Okay, well, now we're getting somewhere.
Clementine sits on a log, holding the knife and can of beans.
Clementine: Please don't be bad.
Clem cuts the can open.
Clementine: Thank God...
Clementine eats the food with her hands. Sam sits down and whines.
Clementine: I guess you're pretty hungry too.
Clementine holds out some of the food.
Clementine: Here ya go.
Sam lunges at her hand and she drops the can. He tries to eat the beans from the can.
Clementine: Hey, don't eat it all.
Clementine picks up the can.
Sam jumps up and bites Clementine's arm, dragging her to the ground.
Everyone screams when Sam bites Clementine. Lee, Ed and Chuck start shouting at Clem to "Punch the damn beast" while the others just start praying that she will be ok
Clementine grabs the knife and stabs Sam in the snout.
Sam takes a few steps back, then lunges at Clem again, and she kicks him backward. She takes the knife and walks over to him, where she discovers he is impaled with several metal spikes. He whines and flails, trying to get free.
All the animal lovers there like Kat and Dianna start tearing up at the sound of the poor dog even though it just attacked clem. "Please clemmy be kind and put it out of it's misery" Dianna mutters quietly and ed pulls her into a half hug
Clementine kneels down, holding the knife.
Clementine: I'm... I'm sorry, Sam.
Clementine stabs Sam in the throat, killing him.
Clementine rolls down her sleeves to hide the bite and leaves the camp.
The screen goes dark
"oh god... I hope no one thinks that the bite is a walker bite" doug mutters making everyone start thinking of that which hadn't actually come to their head
"no they won't only an idiot wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a dog and human bite" Kat says and everyone goes with her word because she was a Vet
