Sometimes, when feeling particularly self-pitying and downtrodden and various other adjectival synonyms, Nathaniel liked to wax poetic to himself about having been born already dying. Having been drowning his whole life, being buried alive, fighting against wave after wave, shovelful after shovelful of dirt, just to breathe.
They weren’t bad metaphors, per say, but at times like this, Nathaniel realized, a more apt estimation was that he had been bleeding out in motel bathtubs his whole life.

"A second chance,“ Death said.
Harry stopped in front of a bench and turned to look at the being. "A second chance at what?"
"Life."
Harry laughed bitterly. "Because that has worked out so great the first time?"
Death tilted its head. "You've changed," it stated.
"Life does that to you," Harry said and his mind felt clearer than ever, "Or should I say the last seven years. I never really left this place, have I? I lived a life feeling not quite dead and not alive either," he spat.
"I know how you feel," Death said after a moment, grinning.
"Oh, do you," Harry retorted and pierced Death with a look.
The being's smirk widened as it leaned closer.
"Bored."
Years after the war, Harry Potter lives an apathetic life. When Death offers him a second chance he takes it.
Accompanied by the being, Harry travels back to the summer before Sirius dies. Inside his younger body and the memories of an older self, Harry realizes that being connected to Death may have twisted his morals a little more than expected.
Seeking to make up for the boredom of past years, Harry isn't above carving his own space between two sides to even out the playing field.

Betsy, Aaron and the Foxes are determined to convince him it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, but his father’s people are coming for him, he’s poked the Moriyama hornets’ nest on Kevin’s behalf and that’s not even starting on what Andrew will have to say about Neil choosing to martyr himself.

Summary
Sirius Black falls through the Veil, and Harry Potter manages to jump in after him.
Instead of dying, he ends up in the past, staring at a young Sirius. After a freakout and a complete mental breakdown, he concludes that he ended up in the past, in the era his parents were in Hogwarts, to be precise, and he has to figure out what the fuck he is supposed to do.
The fact that Voldemort isn’t quite as insane in this period doesn’t help him, especially when he keeps finding himself in the man’s presence time after time.
He can change his parents’ fate, he can keep the Marauders whole and happy, but his saviour complex won’t let him stop at that- Harry will save Voldemort along with them. Perhaps his unbearable attraction to the cruel man is the cause of that. The tantalising way Harry’s name rolls off those perfect lips may also have something to do with it.

"Mylo, leave her alone" And a familiar girl admonished him, turning her face and smiling softly at her " Morning, Pow-Pow, how was you sleep?"
Pow-Pow, a nickname she no longer associated with herself.
Powder was weak and imperfect. Jinx was perfect.
She was so perfect, she had travelled back in time, gaining a chance to save her dad. To save Silco and give Zaun it's freedom once again.
