He’s grateful Stephanie stuck around. He’s grateful Damian is around. He’s grateful Alfred’s around, while he too is still grieving the death of his son, whom he never allowed himself to be close enough to, to be considered family. He’s grateful that they’re his, that something is still his in this sinking hole of loneliness he’s falling into.
And yet he still thinks, this isn’t what he wanted.

Dick… is aware. He’s aware that he’s not doing well. He’s aware that Tim isn’t doing well. Hell, he’s aware that Alfred isn’t doing well.
What with Bruce being… well…
He’s aware.
But, as he stares at his little brother telling him that Bruce is alive, he can’t help but feel anything but relief. In fact, he feels a lot of bad feelings about it, and then very quickly adds guilt to those bad feelings since he can’t think of anything positive to say.
Because he’s aware that he’s not well. And that Tim isn’t well. And that Alfred isn’t well.
But they weren’t well before Bruce died, either.
