Hen has known Eddie for three weeks and three days and the shit she knows about his life outside of work could barely fill a sticky note.
So that’s why, on a humid August day, she’s completely lost when she sees Eddie staring at his wedding ring (one of the standard-issue black bands) with his eyes red and puffy.
He stares at it some more and then slowly, like it pains him, takes it off and shoves it in his pocket.

Eddie has been married to Buck for a few years now. They met when Eddie was an army medic and Buck was on his first tour. Now, Buck is on his last tour and Eddie just misses his husband. (He refuses to talk about it though, he’s fine, he swears.)However, lots of miscommunication and overuse of the word “leave” makes firefam assume certain things about his love life (or rather, lack thereof). Imagine their shock when Buck walks through their doors.
