Summary
Sonic awoke to what seemed like a normal day, following his strict routine as usual. Every action was a meticulously calculated ritual. But today was not just any day. Today marked the beginning of his plans. Plans that would take him on a downward spiral, all to be with Shadow. In obsession, one often finds one's undoing disguised as the perfection one so longs for, especially when that perfection involves people.
Will Sonic be able to mold the situation to his advantage, twisting the benefits and will of those around him? At what point does one realize that he has descended too far? But, as they say, the ends justify the means. Because it´s right, isn't it?

As a renowned monster hunter, of course Shadow would venture out to an old backwater town to put an end to yet another vermin scourging the land. It was his job to, and hell was he good at it. One doesn't become a famous (or to his enemies, infamous) one-shot legend by slacking off. No beast could outrun or outmatch the rifle on his back, and none were capable of evading him for long. He had gotten quite skilled at taking out his targets quickly and efficiently- this werewolf would be no different.
...Or so he thought.

Friend? That was all Shadow saw him as? Sonic will admit he went into the woods far away from the city and screamed his frustration. No one heard his cry of anger and despair.
So Sonic buried his emotions down deep and grew satisfied with being the best damn friend Shadow would ever have. But… this spring that promise grew harder to keep.
As he said, it wasn’t even May and the urges were stronger than they ever were before. He was going to die. He was going to go feral and they would have to lock him up or euthanize him because he would not make it another year like this.
This year had to be the last. Or else.

This year… something had to give. He was going to explode and let out a bunch of stuff that scared him and would chase Sonic out of his life faster than he could blink. There was stuff that was weird and bizarre and Shadow didn’t even know the true depth of what all he was experiencing. Something must give or Shadow was going to do something indecent.
