Summary
Life for supernatural hunters Bucky and Clint is, all things considered, pretty good - they have an apartment in New York, a close network of fellow hunters who help keep them alive, a dog with at least one good working eye, and a job that doesn't require them to sit in an office chair day after day. That they put their lives on the line for said job and that Bucky is carrying a demon around in his brain - well, they deal.
When young Kate Bishop and America Chavez show up after a routine exorcism with a string of mysterious crimes for them to investigate, neither Bucky nor Clint can resist taking a look. Calling on their friends in the network, the hunters soon find themselves dealing with everything from angry spirits to dangerous summonings and vengeful were-creatures as the clock begins to tick steadily towards certain fiery doom; but if they're going to save the world and all its realms, Bucky and Clint have their own demons - metaphorical and physical - to overcome first.

Romanoff and Barton. They’re legends, the very first team to establish a neural handshake once Stark nearly blew out his heart trying to pilot a jaeger alone and realized it only works with a shared neural and physical load.
They have more kills than any other team out there. Hong Kong, Vladivostok, Lima — Lucky Striker has held the line in almost every ‘dome on the rim. Steve and Bucky have pored over the footage of every single one of their kills, marveling at the way their jaeger moves. Fluid, seamless, graceful. And most of all, of course, deadly.
“Think they’re just visiting or they’re here to fight?” Steve asks.
“Either way, we’ll probably at least get to see them in the kwoon,” Riley drawls. “Whaddaya think they’ll use? Staffs? Nunchaku? Or just hand-to-hand?”
“Whatever it is, it’s gonna be fuckin’ beautiful,” Bucky says.

Summary
After breaking free from Hydra's control, James Barnes is keeping his head down. Captain America and his team are miles away, and he's better off alone. He's not expecting to be found by an Avenger. An Avenger who proves hard to get rid of.
Somehow, in spite of himself, Hawkeye ends up growing on him, and he realises that maybe alone isn't the best way to be.
But as Bucky's working out his own past, Hawkeye's coming face to face with his. They never should have gone to Budapest.

maybe it wasn't his best idea to yell at another assassian and try to fight him on a rooftop.
eight years later, clint is a little smarter and james is trying his best to be okay.
