Summary
Bucky is a decorated veteran who lost his arm during his service. After getting home, he went into acting after his discharge, and inadvertently came out a few years ago. So he’s the unwilling poster child for pretty, gay, damaged boys. So everyone is looking to set Bucky up. But the thing is, he likes men, he finds women aesthetically pleasing, but he’s not the kind of guy to hook up. He’s tried that, and realized that he needs to get to know the person before he has any attraction.
Bucky’s photographer pal Clint Barton proposes a cool magazine layout with Bucky and another man, photographed as geometric shapes, like construction materials, like architecture, rather than sex objects. The spread looks really great, and his manager and pal Tony Stark asks Bucky if he and the beautiful man in the photos are a thing. Which gives Bucky an idea ...the press tour for his new film is coming up, and he could use a companion ... and then Steve surprises him with a counterproposal of his own

Summary
Morality is one of the few things Clint has nothing but positive feelings about. Like pizza. Except, unlike pizza, morality and ethics feature heavily in this new job of his, and his last job was shooting people. Clint likes the job for the perks, the flexible hours and the medical coverage. He is slightly suspicious about the fact that blond, buff and beefy can't seem to take his eyes off of the Winter Soldier, who is a lot less scary once you've seen him finger-paint.
But hey, the agreement had "Dollhouse" in its logo.

Summary
Stubborn as he was, Steve refused to believe that Bucky wouldn’t come home to him after the war was over. Not even when his entire division was declared missing in action did he stop waking up expecting Bucky back. Steve never stopped waiting, but neither was he prepared for when Bucky did come home, for what it was he had gone through in the years he was missing.
Bucky doesn’t remember his name. Doesn’t remember where he came from either, but he somehow manages to find his way back. Instincts screaming for him to find the mate that They couldn’t quite burn out of him. Bucky may not remember him, but he will protect him.

“I just want you to be happy,” Bucky whispered after a few moments silence.
“I’m happy with you,” Steve whispered back and embraced Bucky, his arms carefully circling around his waist.
“I can’t talk you out of this, I tried, but they wouldn’t budge. Bucky, please don’t leave me.”
The last part he almost sobbed into Bucky’s hair, having bent down to nuzzle it.
Bucky felt like crying, like breaking down sobbing. He hadn’t meant for it to turn out like this. Steve was supposed to be happy, he wasn’t supposed to be grieving the loss of Bucky.

(Steve and Bucky both loved each other and they knew that, but the war and joining the army wasn't helpful. Bucky saw Peggy and her greatness for Steve, but refused to see anyone but Bucky.)
Or, what would have happened if Steve and Bucky got together before the war.

Summary
Steve and Bucky are together before the war. Kind of. Bucky sure wants to be—he knows how he feels about Steve. Steve, however, hates that Bucky has to take care of him, so he can’t give himself over to the relationship. Steve desperately wants to enlist, but when he finally gets that 1A stamp, it isn’t the validation he thought it would be. When Bucky sees Steve transformed, he thinks he’s lost him for good, but Steve needs Bucky to look after him more than ever. He drives himself hard to feel worthy of being Captain America and keeps just enough distance between them to drive Bucky crazy. In other words, Steve still has something to prove, and Bucky has the patience of a saint.
