Summary
Parallel universe story inspired by Nicci B's old story. A long time ago, Nicci B wrote a story where Mulder and Krycek were happy together in an alternative universe: 'Promises'. I wondered what would happen if her happy couple met our miserable, yet strangely beautiful boys. Nicci B dropped out of M/K fandom when she felt a story she had written had been plagiarised, and weirdly enough, this story was also - inadvertently - plagiarised by a friend a little over a year or so ago. Although accidental, that did put me off finishing this story for quite a while. Since then I've changed the ideas so much that hopefully there will be no resemblance to my friend's version.
