Comment on Archive Roadmap 2013

  1. Not a web developer, but could you not grab the releases from their GitHub project? Looks like the latest release is v0.9.276.1, which was released on February 9. Or is it that this code can't be deployed on anything other than AO3?

      Thanks for your comment! I tried that a few years ago (I'd done it successfully with many php projects but I'm not a coder) on my local Wamp setup to see if I could run it but the coding language used, unicorns, elastic etc. what they talk about in these updates etc were totally unknown to me and I don't really have the spoons to learn everything in the depth needed, for two archives I'm only mildly interested in anymore. Seems like it would require a lot of tinkering and know-how at the state it is now. I also didn't feel confident that I'd be able to secure the site or solve any problems that might arise. There is supposed to be an easily installable package when the software is released, which is what I've been waiting for.

      In the end, I ended up contacting Open Doors and I'm in the process with them.
