I really like the dynamic that shows up in this fic. When I read the description I thought to myself 'hmmmm, how's that gonna work?' Brilliantly, is the answer that I arrived to later. There are two really dynamic personalities that are butting up against each other and who are also solitary for one reason or another. It is of a benefit to the Condescension to have someone that has very little to loose (status, his life, etc) to check her shit. And vice-versa, Karkat has a powerful ally and friend in the Condescension.
Their moirallegience seems kind of typically Alternian in that KK is the master conciliator and HIC is the fiesty highblood. However, there are bits of reciprocity and it was cute. I came out of it shipping it like FedEx and enjoyed the story thoroughly! Thanks!
