Comment on Tell Me Your Heart Doesn't Race for a Hurricane or a Burning Building

  1. As you know, I love everything about how messed up and tender this is. You really hit an excellent balance where I'm asking "is this ok?" and then telling myself "yes, it's hot so it must be fine." Either way, peak bingqiu!

Even when they are ridiculous, they're great:

Binghe stalked towards him which was a ridiculous description because the man was wearing a mint green apron decorated with cucumbers and their attendant flowers in cartoon form. The writing implored the reader to “Stay Cool Cucumber” in butchered English.

It was Shen Yuan’s favorite apron.

Binghe is just so shameless, I adore it:

Binghe replied, “Oh, I just… saw him one day and followed him home.”

In short, you are amazing and a genius.

But I can't believe you outed my crack title in the end notes. :3

    1. Heeeyy!!! Ahaaaa thank you - this is super sweet. I'm happy the balance works for you - I was trying to manage creepy/sweet and dark/soft. Like, we all know this is fucked up but it works so well for them? And I'm super pleased you got that from the fic because it was the goal! As the writer, you never quite know if something hits, until the audience response, so thank you again.

(Also, I thought your title was super funny...and needed to be shared with the world *snickering in gremlin friend*).

Good luck with your writing *sending love and best wishes*.
