Summary
“You’re the one who directed them to Vergesson.” It’s not a question. It doesn’t need to be.
Really, he shouldn’t be surprised. For fire may be Bren’s, but Astrid has always danced in the flames. And Eadwulf, Eadwulf, fool that he is, will rush in after them every time they get burned.
(an unseen moment in 2x128: after allowing the Nein to escape, Astrid and Eadwulf deal with the consequences)

Summary
Luc doesn’t remember a lot about his early childhood.
He knows it wasn’t exactly the most normal of upbringings. He knows that most kids didn’t grow up with crossbow practice, magic books, and a dog that could blink in and out of existence. He knows he moved around a lot. He knows that Mom is a hero, and that she couldn’t be at home for a while.
He knows that at one point, he died.
(years after the events of 2x129, Luc reflects on death, life, and the people who make it all worthwhile)

Summary
Fjord’s gaze flickers once more to his friends. Caduceus. Yasha. Jester. Beau. Veth and Caleb outside, watching their backs. They have to make it. They’re going to make it. They just need more time.
(takes place during 2x133: a captain always goes down with the ship, but Fjord has no intent of letting that happen in the first place)

Summary
Caleb closes that worn, leather-bound book for the last time. Tucks it back beneath his arm, stands, walks to the entryway of his tower. His hand shakes as he reaches for the handle.
Well, you and the Nein got me to the door. Now I have to walk through it.
He takes a deep breath, then takes his first step outside.
