Summary
Brienne takes the sword out of its sheath, ready to lay it on the ground before the King, ready to pledge another oath in Jaime’s stead: repeat until death. “It’s yours.”
Bran Stark studies her face longly, coldly, and just like that, Brienne sees that he knows that she knows. Her King is aware of her loyalties. He knows that she’d loved, and fucked, and cried for a man who pushed him out of a window when he was a little boy. Perhaps he’ll mistake her loyalty for guilt; she doesn’t care what he thinks.
