Summary
The war was over. They could all go back to their normal lives now. But normal was a concept they’d left behind long ago; normal was a wish during times of battle and bloodshed and not a reality they were all that familiar with anymore. Not enough to know how to live it well, at least. Normal didn't necessarily make them happy.

Summary
Ichigo didn’t miss the fight. He told himself that lie often in the hopes he would believe it. He had a normal human life, and he was content with that. Then his sweet, devoted wife had pushed him down a hole with a murderous Arrancar and an order to “have fun,” and Ichigo realized he hadn’t been fooling anybody, least of all her.

Summary

The memory of Ulquiorra Cifer’s death had haunted Orihime for years, seeing him fade to ash the sorrowful end to her most frequent nightmares. Now, as he stood before her on the moonlit sands of Hueco Mundo — solid and real instead of slipping into dust — it was difficult to remember that this wasn’t the dream.
