Summary
“I got word of a job. There’s a faith healer traveling around with a carnival that sounds like bad news.”
Dean’s to the end of his cigarette and he turns the stump of the filter over in his fingers.
“Faith healers aren’t always doin’ black magic. What makes you think this is our kinda thing?”
His father grunts. “This guy’s doing something different. He claims he’s healing people with the help of a captive angel.”
After Sam leaves for college, Dean finds himself hunting alone. John has him look into a carnival that boasts a “real, live angel!” as part of its traveling show. The angel is real. So are Dean’s feelings for him. So is the evil that lurks in the grimy corners of small town America.
