Summary
Youko and Shuichi have found themselves in a disadvantageous situation in which they are caught separated at the border between Spirit World and the Afterlife after a mission gone awry.
One of them is stuck on the wrong side with no way to escape... and the other one not currently being absorbed by Death is desperately trying to set get them back.
They might just have to resort to drastic measures after an unexpected guests makes an appearance and has those old, stinging wounds of loss being drudged up again.

Summary
A garden is a special thing to its creator. A place you cultivate and grow with your own bare hands. It feels as though you're giving life to a space that would otherwise be left barren. Even moreso when you have such a distinct relationship with Nature as Youko and Shuichi do...
The two spend a day tending to their estate in the early Spring. It feels like a suspension of time in a literal Heaven on Earth; taking a break from their normal life to create this space of harmony— even the flora will pause to celebrate; becoming voyeurs to their synchrony.

Summary
Pretty soon post-split, Youko and Shuichi spend New Years Eve together and discuss a future plan that Youko has brought up for them to consider.
Shuichi seems to be upset that Youko is keeping something important from him, and he wants the fox to consider what living their lives separate should actually look like.
This discussion brings to light a lot of miscommunication that was plaguing their relationship, and the two end the night by swapping resolutions that reflect the true nature of their desires.
