Summary
“She will heal.” Tears sprang to Jacob’s eyes at last. It was a relief to think of her living through the ordeal, but in what condition? Would she be able to walk again? He saw how Sam thought of Emily’s scars all too often: how much worse would these be? He shook his head violently.
“She will.” Sam squeezed his shoulder. Jacob leaned forward heavily, feeling like he was going to be sick again. But there was nothing for him to throw up.
She would heal.
But could he?In a world where no one imprints on infants, Jacob imprints unexpectedly in the forest. Set right at the end of New Moon, running through the end of Eclipse. A fix-it that sprang from a re-read of the Saga where I found myself thinking "why couldn't Bella have had a cousin for Jacob to meet like Sam did with Emily? Anyone but an actual baby..." And, well, they say write what you want to read, so I did just that.

Summary
The tether to Embry’s imprint flared bright and strong ahead of him. Embry wanted to whine, smelling the icy scent of vampire still fresh ahead: so many had gone this way.
He could feel the others’ disgust. They all felt angry about it: that so many vampires had descended on their little part of the world, that so many people would die tonight who might otherwise have lived—that the three of them were only going to save one.
One he’d never had the chance to know.
What would happen if one of the pack imprinted on someone just passing through? Someone they never had a chance to meet properly before they drove away?
