Summary
Although, instead of Mountain reeling back, releasing every point of contact he ever initiated on Dewdrop’s burning body, getting up and leaving the fire ghoul to extinguish his own pathetic sparks of arousal, maybe spitting on his face for good measure, before leaving him cold and useless and once again going back to fawning over a ghoul he could never hope to be.
Maybe that would’ve been better.
But, no. Mountain’s eyes are still wide behind the shadow his mask creates, but his pupils are visibly expanding and contracting and Dewdrop suddenly feels like a rabbit being sized up by a mountain lion.
Prey, he realizes. He feels like prey.
or
dewdrop cuts his hair for unhealthy reasons. mountain knows.
