Summary
There are times Daeron wished he could say that his father had sat him on his knee and told him all he needed to know about life. He wished, just once, that his father had assured him of his capability as a ruler and declared him, our king-to-be, as Good Queen Alysanne had done for the second Rhaenys.
Perhaps then Daeron wouldn’t feel the weight of the crown so heavily.

Summary
Daeron used to fancy himself a dragon in the flesh long before the realm began calling him the Young Dragon.
He used to run about the Red Keep with a wooden sword in one hand and a toy dragon in the other. He would imagine himself leading an army and unleashing fire upon his enemies. Truthfully, he still fancied himself a dragon even now as a man grown.

Summary
From a young age, Rhaena would always trail after her brother like a little shadow. When he went to the sept, she followed, and when he fell to his knees before the sept, she repeated his prayers.
“Little Septa,” Baelor would call her lovingly, and she had liked the sound of that. She liked it quite a lot.

Summary
He heard the whispers from his closest manservant first. Of a new demeaning title that had been given to him, not by the smallfolk or the lords but by his own blood.
The Befuddled. That was what Daena, his former sister-wife, had taken to calling him. "Baelor the Befuddled,"she was said to have whispered jeeringly to Rhaena and Elaena. His manservant insisted that those were likely only rumors, but Baelor didn’t believe it, not one bit.
